A beautiful walk through the forest to see a waterfall. Beautiful scenery in the gorge, lots of butterflies. It's not too long or difficult a walk from the visitor's centre, definitely worth the visit. You can get under the waterfall if you want to - it's refreshing!
Great place where you can see waterfalls just 5 mins of walk from the main road.
The access road to the Tilos information center and waterfall is closed due to a big landslide that completely blocks vehicle and pedestrian access on both the access road and the PR Lp 6 hiking path. One of the few waterfalls on La Palma, it's a short walk from the car park and nice to take a few pictures. The waterfall itself is not a natural waterfall, in fact the majority of the water that comes down, is being pumped up again, but it is still a nice place to take some pictures.
Don’t miss this place! Gorgeous and very short walk from the parking lot to the waterfall, beautiful view, magical. At the parking lot you’ll find a nice restaurant serving good La Palma food and desserts. Wonderful for picnic, group gatherings, family outing. Free to enter.
A huge cascade of water, from a waterfall in the Los Tilos national park. Beware of slippery rocks and cramped tunnels. But if we can do it you can do it as we are a group of elderly people who came the easy way with a tour bus. Go and see..the waterfall and the surrounding. Its highly recommended.

An extraordinary experience, explanations to the point, precise and well documented. And what can I say about Rum, the best from the Canary Islands and perhaps among the agricultural ones. Thank you for the service and hospitality. And let the "Solirdaria" unite us :).
We visited the destillery the third time during this vacation now and never left without purchasing a bottle or two of their in our opinion excellent spirits. A week ago we had the on display workshop/museum to ourselves to explore the history of the brand and take it all in. They also sell some fine handmade soap and tasteful apparel (T-Shirts etc.) Can only highly recommend Destilerias Aldea. We will return that’s for sure.
The tour of the traditional Ron Aldea rum distillery is not particularly worthwhile. You are rushed through in twenty minutes and have no time to read the information boards or ask questions. You then watch a five-minute video before moving on to the tasting. The tasting is very detailed, all types of rum can be tried and you get good explanations. Unfortunately, the prices for the tour including tasting have recently been doubled from five to ten euros per person, which seems a bit unreasonable. In general, however, the rums are traded at a fair price and are very digestible and recommended.
A small Destillerie with great rum. My favorites is the banana and coffee liqueur. Friendly staff which explains all different types and you als can tray all before you buy some! But check the tax regulations in your country. It's so good, you easily buy too much.
We first stopped in several years ago on our first trip to La Palma and absolutely fell in love with it! The Ron Aldea distillery has become an unquestionable "most stop" when we are there. The tour is wonderfully educational, both about the history of the distillery, and rum/sugar cane production on the island. It's amazing to see a wood fired still that's actually continuing to distill spirits long after others of the same age are in museums. Besides getting to see the production/distillation process, the tasting room is wonderful as well. Not only do you get a taste of the products, you also learn a lot about the individual spirits and what goes into making them. Our favorite rum is the blanco that has such a wonderfully bold sugar cane smell and taste. There is (sadly) absolutely no availability in the United States, so we always bring home multiple bottles to get us through until our next visit. Stop in- you won't be disappointed. We can't wait until we can come back!!!
We had an educational evening tour of the small family run distillery. You have to prebook. Their is a carpark, just down the road opposite with short slope upwards to the entrance. We learnt about everything from the history of it being located here in La Palma, cultivation of sugar canes and the whole process to the bottles appearing for sale. It was very interesting and good to know its still run by the ancestors of original family and that they still use all their original equipment. Lastly, we learnt about the products they produce and had a tasting session. Fruit juices provided for non alcohol drinkers. The shop was well stocked with their produce, souvenirs and local products. Nice clean toilets on site. Their was not many steps on the way round and our group members with mobility issues coped well and their was a few chairs scattered about. It was a good evening and well worth doing the visit.
Destilerías Aldea, located on the beautiful island of La Palma in the Canary Islands, is a hidden gem in the world of spirits. This distillery has been crafting exceptional rum since 1936, and its commitment to quality and tradition is evident in every bottle. The volcanic soil and unique climate of La Palma impart a distinct character to the sugarcane grown here, which is the foundation for Aldea's exceptional rums. The flavors and aromas are a testament to the island's terroir, and the distillery's artisanal approach preserves this essence beautifully. One of the standout products from Destilerías Aldea is their Ron Aldea Añejo, a true masterpiece with a rich, golden hue and a complex profile. It's a harmonious blend of tradition and innovation, with notes of toffee, vanilla, and tropical fruit, all balanced by a gentle smokiness. Sipping this rum is like taking a journey through the flavors of La Palma. In addition to their exquisite rums, Destilerías Aldea offers a warm and welcoming distillery tour, where visitors can witness the craft and passion that go into each bottle. This distillery is not just a producer of fine spirits; it's a testament to the Canarian spirit and a must-visit for anyone exploring the Canary Islands. In summary, Destilerías Aldea's rums are a testament to the unique character of La Palma and a delightful addition to the world of spirits. The distillery's commitment to quality and tradition shines through in every sip, making it a true treasure of the Canary Islands.
Lovely small rum distillery. Had a tour in English with an employee who was knowledgeable and friendly. Cost was €5 per person which I thought was good considering the time and enthusiasm. Tasting was comprehensive and rum was excellent. Well recommended.

This place is amazing and magical. Very cold when windy and the sun sets but the sky visible from here is incredible. And you can observe sunrise too. When there is good visibility you can see Teide as well. The information provided in the table were very interesting. Recommended stop for amateur astronomers. The path to get to it is made of dislocated rocks, not the best thing to walk on.
Amazing, Views to die for, and curious ravens 🤩
Wonderful installation however, the approach track was poorly maintained.
Amazing view to the stars
(Translated by Google) Little parking, poor access road... Honestly, it's of no interest if you go during the day; it should be considered at night. The stone access road is a clear example of how the authorities do things in this country... They spend a fortune on something that lasts two days in good condition.
(Translated by Google) If you're on your way to Roque de Los Muchachos, you can stop to climb up to see the monument, although at night it must be quite a sight to see the sky from there. (Original) Si vas camino del Roque de Los Muchachos puedes hacer una parada para subir al ver el monumento, aunque realmente por la noche tiene que ser un espectáculo mirar al cielo desde él.
(Translated by Google) It may not be one of the best spots to see the sunset, although it is one of the best spots for a starry night. Being that way, I was surprised to find the access road in the state it was in, both due to the surface and the vegetation. On much of the road, you had to make your way through the branches since the road was completely closed.
(Translated by Google) Nothing special. Views of Mount Teide in the distance. It's better to go directly to Roque de los Muchachos. (Original) Nada del otro mundo. Vistas del Teide a lo lejos. Mejor ve directamente al Roque de los Muchachos.
