Great island. Very close to Kusadasi and Athens. You can find the island very relaxing. I recommend visit by the tour agency. I choose that way, because they are arranging everything. You can combined this island with your Turkey and Greece sightseeing tour.
The most beautiful island, if you like Greece it's a place you must go, still very authentic, lots of beautiful beaches, churches, historic places to visit, if you don't go you will never understand the peace it brings to the soul.
The pleasant atmosphere of the island sets you up for rest. There are places for quiet relaxation and fun, noisy recreation. A large selection of taverns and souvenirs. But the cats here are not fed or given water either How to change this???
I visit the island every year! It is a big island with lovely places full of restaurants and coffee! The beaches are lovely and you can still find beaches that don't charge the umbrella and the sunbeds on top of your order! Pythagoreio, Marathokabos, Kokkari, and psili Ammos are a few of the places you can visit!
While being over in Turkey we done the day visit to the Greek island Samos. We had a really nice day over on the island and would recommend going if you've got the chance. It's absolutely beautiful! The only thing I would say is make sure you know what you want to do before going and possibly think about hiring a motorbike or car for the day as some of the main attractions are more inland of the island. We visited a lovely little pizza restaurant just along down from the main square of the marina which I would also highly recommend, really reasonable priced and amazing food!
Very nice island. In September the water was too cold to really swim or dive, but the people are very nice and the prices are only high in Pythagoreo and Kampos, everywhere else it's pretty cheap. The highlight of the island is the village Manolates there you can also find the only museum of the island. You need a car to explore the island. Its big enough to keep you occupied for a couple of weeks, but nearly all churches are closed or in disrepair. Honest review: Its totally worth a visit and has its own charme, but don't expect too much.
Wonderful place. The locals are really friendly and the island is great for hiking. It has a bit more foliage than some of the smaller islands which makes for great shade when the sun's burning. There are a lot of affordable places to eat and quite some nice hotels (I stayed at Villa Maria). You can get around the island by car or bus (or walking but that takes a bit long if all you need are some tomatoes for dinner). If you intend to use the bus often, which is what I did, make sure to inquire about departure times with locals, as this appears to change often. *Sidenote: I added a photo of the bus schedule as for april 2022.
Big surprise! Green island with beautiful beaches and warm, crystal clear sea and a few attraction. For active people I highly recommend hiking to Seitani beach and swimming in potami waterfalls, for lazy days Livadaki beach is a must, you won’t be bored. The people are super friendly, kind and talkative. Food tasty and affordable. I would say the west side prefer meat, in the East sea food is more common. There is no clubs. A lot of elderly tourists mainly from Germany. The city of Samos and Karlovasi looks like abandoned with its damaged buildings in other hand Pitagorio is absolutely lovely. Rent a car is a need. Take your swimming shoes but can forget snorkling. Temperature in October still warm 23-28°, evenings are chill and windy. Overall It is nice place to visit and rest.

It's a very clean beach, a sunbed costs 4 euros. I think it's cheap. Don't worry, people prefer it. The restaurant next to it is quite nice.
We only visited the beach and sampled some food. While the location is stunning and the staff is helpful, both the food quality and portion sizes fell short, failing to reflect the island's rich culture or meet expectations for overall quality. Also the place was so quite, one can hear others thinking so maybe not the best beach to visit for a younger group.
The sea is quite calm and clean. The location is too noisy. As it’s located in bay region, calm water enables you to swim easily and contentedly. Reasonably priced restaurant is self-service. It serves variety of foods& drinks with a good taste and great view. 2 seat and 1 umbrella is 8Euros as of 2024.
Great place, amazingly fast service, very friendly crew. Definitely prefer here over Navagos!
The best restaurant in kokkari. They have the sweetest staff. So friendly. And the food is really the best. No one makes tzatziki or chicken souvlaki like them. Ευχαριστώ πολύ and see you next year ❤️
A relaxing beach with sunbeds over both grass or stones. 2 beds will cost you between 8 - 15 euros. It has a laidback restaurant with delicious food and super friendly staff. Sea is crisp & clean. Atmosphere is serene, hence popular with older folks. You can easily spend full day here, touch the grass, swim and sleep under Aegean sun with sounds of cicadas 😇 P.S. There are also rooms to book but we stayed somewhere else, so DYOR.
Very nice beach with crystal clear waters. Sun bed & umbrella price is reasonable; €8 and they were very new. Self service bar is also good. One of the best beaches on the island.
This is a great beach the water was so clean and perfection. Beach is covered with lots of pebbles so one needs some watershoes. There's a tavern nearby called Andrea's,The food is great the staff is friendly. Plus we only paid 3 euros for each sunbed.

Kokkari Beach Hotel enjoys a prime location right by the sea in one of the most charming villages of Samos. The setting is undoubtedly one of its strongest points, as guests can enjoy beautiful views of the Aegean, quick access to the beach, and the lively yet relaxed atmosphere of Kokkari village. Restaurants, cafés, and small shops are within walking distance, which makes the hotel convenient for travelers who want to explore the area without relying too much on transportation. The hotel itself, however, leaves a mixed impression. While it offers all the basics for a comfortable stay, it does not stand out in terms of style, facilities, or service. The building is somewhat dated, and although the rooms are kept reasonably clean, they feel old-fashioned and in need of some renovation. Furniture and décor are functional but very simple, giving the impression that the hotel has not been modernized for quite some time. For guests looking for luxury or contemporary comfort, this may be disappointing. Rooms vary in size, with some offering lovely balconies overlooking the sea, while others face the back and feel less appealing. The beds are adequate but not particularly comfortable, and the bathrooms are small and somewhat cramped. Housekeeping is done regularly, but attention to detail could be improved, as small issues such as worn-out fixtures or missing amenities sometimes go unnoticed. Breakfast is included and served in a buffet style. It is sufficient for a simple start to the day, offering bread, cheese, cold cuts, yogurt, and a few pastries. However, the variety is limited and repetitive, and guests staying for longer periods may find it monotonous. A greater emphasis on fresh local products could improve the overall experience. Staff at Kokkari Beach Hotel are polite and generally helpful, but the service can feel a little impersonal at times. While they are willing to answer questions and provide basic assistance, there is not always the warm, personal hospitality that smaller family-run hotels in Greece are often known for. That said, the check-in and check-out process is efficient, and the staff ensure that everything runs smoothly. The facilities are minimal. There is a small pool area, but given the proximity to the sea, many guests prefer the beach instead. Wi-Fi is available, though the connection can be inconsistent, especially in the rooms. Parking is convenient for those renting a car, and the location makes it easy to explore other parts of the island. In conclusion, Kokkari Beach Hotel is an average option that works best for travelers who value location over comfort or luxury. Its greatest strength is its proximity to the beach and the charming village of Kokkari, which offers plenty of dining and leisure options nearby. The hotel provides the essentials for a short stay but lacks the character, modern touches, and attention to detail that could make it more memorable. Overall, it is neither bad nor exceptional—simply a practical base for enjoying the beauty of Kokkari and Samos.
Location is fine, 10 minutes walk to the center of Kokkari. The sea is just a street away, hotel has a cafe and a restaurant at the beach. All the staff was very helpful and nice, especially the cleaning lady was great. We loved the lobby decoration, nice ocean theme. Hotel building is a bit old, so needs general renovation.
The hotel is clean, and the location is great. The sea is beautiful, but the hotel is incredibly strict with rules; it honestly felt like a boarding school. Of course, every hotel can have some rules, but this level of control is unnecessary. After all, we’re staying at a hotel, not a military camp. The woman in charge of breakfast was constantly watching and monitoring what people were eating and doing. She even commented when I toasted my bread a little too much. At the beach, even though all the tables were completely empty, i was sitting with my family and I moved to a second table because the sun was hitting my seat and I was told we couldn’t sit at two tables. Apparently, even in an empty space, you’re not allowed to use more than one table. It’s disappointing that, despite receiving similar feedback in many reviews, they still haven’t changed this overly controlling attitude. In my opinion, a more guest-focused approach would make a big difference. Because of this experience, I’d think twice before recommending this place to someone.
The best feature of the hotel is its location. When you walk in the lobby you might think that entire botel and the rooms have the same modern style but you would be wrong. Hotel needs an overall renovation starting from bathrooms, especially outdated with a shower curtain and such. We stayed 2 nights as a family. Breakfast was ok, nothing special. We didn't have lunch or dinner at the hotel because there are great restaurants in 5 min walking distance. The beach is right accross the street. Seawater is crystal clean, a little cold but refreshing, the beach is pebbly so no messy sand. The cafe by the beach has great service, good price, nice smiling staff.
A wonderful hotel with wonderful staff, they were so helpful with our requests and they always gave great recommendations. The rooms were clean and very nicely decorated and had a great fridge and air conditioning. I highly recommend your next trip is with them! Thank you for everything!
The owners were very nice. They were very friendly and helpfull. the breakfast was satisfying, and the breakfast room was very differently decorated, ı liked it. They helped us to find a taxi on a sunday. The sea of the Kokkari is very windy and wavy, but there is a pool of the hotel if you like. The rooms were very nice and clean, the shower's drainage was a little poor but there was no problem. I will stay again :)
I highly recommend Kokkari Hotel , the receptionist are very helpful, friendly, the reception looks very modern and a nice place to hang out . The hotel and rooms are the cleanest I've ever seen in a hotel. Breakfast has enough food options for food is good. Coffee is good as well. I would definitely come back again.

Πραγματικά εξαιρετικά! Absolutely amazing! Talented mixologists, friendly staff, fresh ingredients, great atmosphere and decor! I wish I could give more stars! Visit if you can to experience it for yourself!
Boa Vista is in a stunning location overlooking the sea – the views alone are worth a visit. What makes it even better are the cocktails. They’re made by a real mixologist who knows how to do it right – perfectly balanced, great flavours, and presented with care. You can taste the difference straight away. A beautiful spot, friendly service, and cocktails that are among the best I’ve had in Greece.
Great place with a good vibe. Loved the cocktails and the glasses they were served in, the view is one of the best in Samos. Would totally recommend!
Place is really nice and has a good vibe, but the service is really bad unfortunately. Didn’t feel welcome at all. The waiters were too busy with each other and their phone, vaping at the bar and sitting with their backs to the customers. They had no interest in serving you another drink… So left really quick.
The most ever unique spot to enjoy your drink. Amazing view of the ocean and the beach. Very professional and friendly staff. Fair prices , excellent drinks! The largest rum selection we've ever seen.
The service here is really bad. We walked in at 7:15 they open at 6. Both the bartenders just stared at us didnt say nothing. It was over 15 minutes for our drinks bring the checks and then sit and vape in the corner for an hour. We wanted another one. But didnt order one, we didnt want to disturb his vape time
€70 for 2 shakers is simply a ripoff. Had some good times there but they won’t see mee again. Beware
One of the best cocktail bars you can find in samos. Unique cocktail choices and exotiic tastes. The bar is located in Kokkari at rooftop. The view, the breeze, the people and the vibes lead to a super unique experience. Must visit.

The hotel management is great, the staff is friendly, the breakfast is delicious, the location is relaxing! Most importantly, the owner is a very helpful person! I'm sure I'll go to the same place next year too with my wife! :)
We stayed in sunrise hotel 2 nights and we had a great experience, the rooms were ready when we arrived so Yorgo let us check-in early and also checked out a bit late cause the hotel was quite , he was very friendly and helpful also i met house keeper Nikki as well she was so sweet , she was also very friendly , sorry if i spelled the names wrong :) ,we stayed in room 304 and 305 , great large size rooms , with massive king size beds and amazing views! There a fridge in the room and kettle , teas and coffees, large size smart tv which was really handy watching youtube , the internet was quite fast too, also cute little balcony with 2 chairs which u can watch amazing sunset. Breakfast was nice too! There are plenty of restaurants and mini market 10-15 walk distance from the hotel. I highly recommend this place if you looking for somewhere nice and quite and with great views. Thank you!
Amazing view, super friendly and helpful staff. Has a nice beach just in front of it. A 10 mins walk is needed to reach from Kokkari center but this hotel is worth it. Definitely recommended.
Amazing view from the room (301 in my case), so relaxing and silent. Rooms are very simple but always clean and neat. Location is great! The owner and the hotel staff friendly, reasonable prices! What else?! Efharisto for such a good time
Great place to stay. Amazing view. Great quiet location. Clean room. Friendly service.
Hotel Sunrise Beach is this small hidden gem in the Greek island. It’s a family run hotel with perfect location. The style is simple, but always clean. All rooms have beautiful sea view. Breakfast comes from the owners own garden, with fresh fruits, sweet tomatoes, melons, eggs and orange. It’s simple but so good. One of the nice things about staying in Sunrise Beach Hotel is its surroundings, not only is the view spectacular, but next to the hotel you will find the best organized beach in Kokkari. Calma Bar manages the beach and offer just that, calm.... And also nice beach food, refreshing drinks, clean sun-beds and the beat crew. After beach time, walk up the hill to the little piece of Italy - Basilico restaurant. Here you can enjoy great food, service and view before you walk few meters back home to your hotel. A perfect day :-)
Hotel is run by a friendly family that hear every desire for your accommodation, advises and helps how to spend your vacation on the island. Room view is on the sea and the paradise bay under the hotel. You can borrow books from their library or go Windsurfing. The room is air-conditioned, although there is almost no need, because it is cooled by a light wind from the sea, which brings fresh air and sounds of waves. In a few minutes walk you can visit the picturesque little town Kokkari. Surely a good decision for a nice holiday!
Amazing Hotel with a wonderful view, friendly staff and its very clean.

Very tasty cocktails, great service. If you want to have a really good time and the perfect view over the little habour of Kokkari, this is the place to be
Best cocktail bar in Kokkari, with an amazing view and table seats, staff and owner very polite and professional, the Master of Daiquiri. We'll be back, soon hopefully
Nice atmosphere in the evening, cocktails are strong, good and worth their price. The voodoo mule is pretty damn good!
Hi costas we are visiting Samos the 28 of june. Glad to see you again.
we grabbed a quick coffee there and it was a bit expensive for the quality of service that was offered. the view was really pretty, but the lady serving us was kinda staring at us weirdly. moreover, the bathroom would be really pretty, if it wasn't so dirty in there. the toilet was gross, and you really can't just mask the stink with nice scent. not the best experience.
Really nice place to have breakfast and lunch or to have a drink. Friendly staff and amazing view. A good place to have a relaxed time in Kokkari ❤️

Nice place to relax with coffee and many more. Καφεδάκι, θέα, χαλάρωση
Crepe dough wss like bread or soft pizza dough. Hardly anything resembling a good crepe. 3 of us ordered & same. Huge bill too for nothing worthy. Owner would not even let you give verbal feedack.
