On this beach we can see silted up blockhaus ( German bunkers )from WW2. Apparently these 2 constructions were used for transmission and surveillance of this strategic region of Atlantic coast. They are a testimony of French history and also the phenomenon of sand erosion. Now the bunker are covered with street art!
It became very dirty since 2024 with oil slick. Can’t recommend this beach anymore.
Wonderful place to watch the sunset.
Dune is beautiful but it is very frustrating to watch all the washing line between the trees hamac tent garbage bags on the floor alcohol bottle around the cars gaz bottle toilet paper and also plastic bags at the parking lot specially when you come to take pictures. Also there's at night fire in the dune and beach. It looks like a squatters parking. A part from that the Dune is a beautiful site.
The sea is deep, has stones, stream is too strong, wood and small stones in the sand. Not ideally for people who like to swim
Nice beach with only little waves. Altough if you remember smiling at me after being almost hit by a wave, while I was walking by last Saturday, please leave a reply for me so I can get back to you.

Excellent service with excellent bikes. The Bassin is ideal for velos, we made it to Cap Ferret and the great dune. Never used the car in 6 days. Bikes are transported to your house and taken back at the end. Thank you M. Jeremy.
Stellar and punctual service, stylish bikes. Such a wonderful and easy way to equip the family and begin the holidays faster.
Perfect bike rental experience! We rented 2 bikes with child seats, 2 without, 3 children's and one electric - all were great quality and nice looking. They came with locks and removable front baskets that we easily used for picnic. The service was great, definitely recommended!
Le Velotier was extremely helpful and amazing to work with! They deliver the bicycles to your residence in the area at an affordable price. And one of our friends had an issue with a bike borrowed from their rental house, and they helped with inflating the tires. Highly recommend!
We hired 2 bikes for 2 days. Brand New and very good quality VTC bikes for getting around and exploring the bay. Lights and bike lock were included. Patrick is lovely and clearly looks after his bikes. We'll be back soon to try the fat bikes 😁
Fantastic service, speedy home-delivery of modern and well-maintained bikes including gear (helmet, child-seat, basket). Thanks to these bikes we discovered many new places in the area. Thank you Patrick for this highlight!
Excellent customer service!! Excellent bikes. Free delivery to holiday location makes bike rental easy and relaxed. Thank you Patrick.
Super service with deliveries , great bikes !
