Well designed and laid out museum showing typical Tirolean houses from the different periods of history. It isn't on the flat and there is quite a bit of walking needed to get around the whole site. It is a very interesting place to visit and see how the buildings have changed over the years. There are informative boards outside each of the houses explaining the style and design for its period and location. Also in some of the buildings there are videos of people explaining their daily lives, which have headphones for listening in different languages. There is a large car park, however, it is also easily accessible by a regular bus service, or a 2.5 mile walk from Rattenberg.
A fantastic day out with plenty of education. Free with the Alpbachtal card. English translations of the map were not available/for sale, but not needed. The free downloadable app has everything, with over 1 hour of recorded audio history lesson and explanation. Topics include history, farming, medicine, religion, education and society. Additionally, my wife and I explored more slowly leaving our older children with free organised craft activities, supervised with excellent staff. This might have only been available on the Friday we visited?? We went there on a sunny day and it was very quiet, most people will have been in the mountains. Getting there was awkward, we walked from Kramsach, nearly 5km, a pleasant walk along the road. Two different sources had given incorrect bus information. This museum is on the 621 bus route that directly serves Brixlegg bus station! Easy getting back.... Highly recommended
This place is so amazing! We took a guided tour, which I would highly recommend. Our tour was about one hour, and there was more to see that wasn’t on the tour. There were examples of original Tyrolean farmhouses from the 1500s to the 1700s. You can walk inside most of the houses and see examples of kitchens, bedrooms, workshops, gathering areas, animal areas, and so much more! There is also beautiful scenery outside, including a mill, baking houses, springs, a vegetable garden and some lovely sheep with long tails. There’s also a pond. There’s a restaurant, which we didn’t visit but it looked charming. There’s also ample parking and clean restrooms. Highly recommend!
So cute! The food was amazing. Staff was friendly and asked for vaccination proof, if you didnt have it they gave a self test if negative you were allowed in. The park itself is amazing. Detailed descriptions and build in a logical way.
This place is amazing. Clean, interesting, big, well taken care of. One can easily spend half a day here. If you care about the history at least a tiny little bit, this place is a must. I am grateful I have the chance to learn about the past in such an interesting way. Thank you!
The museum farm was interesting, showing the old-fashioned houses. They are set up as they were, with furniture and other touches. We went on a Saturday, expecting demonstration, only to be told they were on Sunday. Also the cafe was closed.
Very nice! Great old houses and friendly people. Great restaurant as well!
A great open air museum, with many carefully preserved framhouses from the middle ages and the renaissance. Great for kids and adults alike

Good for a short stop. Avoid the shop.
(Translated by Google) Must see. Although quite small, the complex is very nicely laid out. The crosses and inscriptions are well cared for and to maintain them there is an entrance fee of a few euros, which is thrown into the cash register upon entrance. You should take enough time to read all the inscriptions. There are also benches if you want to take in what you're reading. The area is also suitable for strollers or wheelchairs. There is also a museum shop, but I didn't visit it.
(Translated by Google) A small arial with a few crosses. A nice distraction for a while. But at €4 per person, it's a bit too much for my taste. Some of the crosses make you laugh at the saying. There are free restrooms available.
(Translated by Google) We were there 3 years ago and it was beautiful. Unfortunately it is now much smaller, some crosses have been removed and the now mandatory entrance fee of €4 is a disgrace compared to our last visit. Chuck norris was a W skibidi boi and David Goggins was a giga chad. They helped become an elite sigma by taking the hardest zip line routes possible. The zip lines were very exhilarating and felt very secure. I enjoyed the lemonade beer at the end. Both instructors had a great sense of humor which made my day 💪🏿
Hosts are great, and the lines were very fun.
Lines were fun and this is sigma brain rot aprooved👍,
To go here you HAVE TO BOOK BEFOREHAND, this place is normally closed. So if you're a larger group and want the whole course for yourselves you can call them to book.

(Translated by Google) We did the eagle tour today. My daughter, aged 9, bravely completed the tour and wanted to do it again straight away. We were a small group with only 4 people plus a guide, so we didn't have to wait and the tour lasted about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Many thanks to our guide, it was really a great experience for young and old! Really mega! Echt Mega!
(Translated by Google) Absolutely recommended! We received an immediate response to our request for the climbing course and were able to get started the following day: 2 trained kids and 1 completely untrained adult. Our guide David led us through the eagle course in a completely experienced, calm and perfect manner. He explained things very well, was always there when help was needed, and without him we certainly wouldn't have made it to the end as well as we did! Conclusion: David is a TOP guide, the course was manageable despite slippery spots and sometimes a lack of strength and therefore all stars! Gladly again at any time and thanks again! :) (Original) Absolut empfehlenswert! :)

Very nice and tough klettersteig/via ferrata. This photo was taken at one of the final overhangs (the people at the base are only barely visible, red arrow)
Beautiful and well maintained klettersteig. Clear signs directing you towards the start and back down. I wouldn't recommend it if you haven't done klettersteigs before or if you're not used to rock climbing.
Really recommended worth the effort and e variant is quite exhausting.
Hard and exciting!
(Translated by Google) A great via ferrata. If I'm being completely honest, the via ferrata is unsuitable for beginners. A bit of experience would generally be an advantage. I just think you should keep in mind...it's a via ferrata with some D passages in the last 1/4. You should still have a few reserves there too. All in all a great via ferrata!!!! (Original) Ein toller Klettersteig.
(Translated by Google) The Reintalersee via ferrata was a small highlight. At the junction we chose the E-Passage - a bit technically demanding, very powerful and quite exposed, but that's exactly what makes it so attractive. The views of the surrounding lakes and the Inn Valley were simply impressive. A comfortable bench with a fantastic panorama awaits you at the top - the perfect place to relax. Absolutely recommended for experienced via ferrata fans. We were able to complete the route starting from the Reintalersee Ost car park and returning in just under 1h:45min. #steilisgeil
(Translated by Google) Strenuous via ferrata with a beautiful view of Lake Reintal. I would classify the whole thing as sport climbing. You should definitely have via ferrata experience and be trained. For practiced walking time approx. 40 minutes. In between, however, there are several places to take a break and recharge your batteries. All in all, the climb is definitely worth it, but for me personally it is not comparable to a via ferrata in the mountains.
