My partner and I had an amazing week in Rauris. Our instructor Jake was fantastic, he managed to get a group of us from having never stood on a ski before, to being up the mountain and confident within our 5 days in skischule. We also then decided to have a further days private instructing with Jake afterwards to progress even further. I can thoroughly recommend the skischule Maier team who were all passionate instructors and genuinely friendly people. We also booked a package for lift pass and ski hire which made everything super smooth with it all being linked up. Thanks for a great week!
We had our two kids (6 and 4) going to ski lessons for the first time. Ski Schule Maier was perfect. First, getting their ski gear the night before was a great laugh. Let’s be honest, ski boots and carrying skis is not the best part of skiing but the folks at Maier made it a bit of fun and the kids were ready to go. The first day and the kids met their teacher for the week: Marlies. She made the kids feel at ease and right away they followed Marlies and didn’t look back. You drop the kids off at 09:45 and pick them up for lunch at 12:00. You have lunch near by, talk about the ski lesson and drop them back at 13:30. Then pick them up again at 15:30. Allows for some decent skiing in between, knowing they are well looked after. We picked the kids up after the first day half expecting tears but they were laughing and carrying their skis. Yes, carrying their skis! Marlies informed us they would be moving up to the bigger bunny hill the next day. After a few more days on the bigger bunny hill Marlies informed us the kids would be doing their first race. It was amazing, these kids who had never skied before were all of a sudden slaloming through red and blue flags. After the race there was a ceremony and all kids loved it! Kids skied AM and PM lessons for five days straight. That says a lot for the ski teacher(s) so we’ll done Marlies and well done Skischule Maier! See you next year!
My children have been to ski school here on several return visits to Rauris, and their skiing has significantly improved each time. At Karl Maier skischule they make it fun to ski and they have children’s and adult’s ski races at the end of the week with a certificate & medal ceremony which is good humoured and fun for all. The ski school is very reasonably priced in Rauris and the hire equipment is first class. The staff are very professional and friendly and they like to have fun, especially Conrad who taught my son to be an excellent & elegant skier. Harry will help your skiing needs and he’s has a great source of information about the local area of Rauris. The ski shop is nice and tidy, and as you would expect well equipped. Staff within the shop are very professional and helpful. I have personally hired ski’s, poles and boots from here and the boots were very comfortable with newly maintained skis and decent poles. The shop and ski school meeting place is right next to the 947m ticket office, gondola, beginners ski slope & kindergarten ski area. I’d highly recommend this ski school and hire shop as I personally believe it’s the best one in Rauris.
Booked rental skis online, it was cheaper than other places in the area, right at the ski resort and they couldn't be nicer. We arrived slightly earlier than expected and they gave the ski sets to us for the remainder of the day. For the whole duration of the stay, they also allowed us to leave our shoes in their shop while we were skiing. We took the basic set but the skis were high quality, rather new, light and very well maintained.
Thank you so much for a fantastic week skiing in Rauris. My boys both took beginner lessons with Marlies and she was just brilliant with them. They are now absolutely hooked and were so upset when we got home as they miss it already. Me and my husband had lessons with Patrick and he was great too. I felt lacking in confidence and he massively helped and got me to a position where I could enjoy the blue runs and not feel nervous. All the instructors seem like they love what they do and are very good at it too. Thanks again. We will be back.
Took a beginners snowboard course. After three half day classes, everyone in the group felt confident enough to go down the slope and continue practicing on our own. Organisation was vlear and direct and the instructor was friendly, helpful, clear and motivating. While we took the course, the kids were in a two full day ski class. The organisation was fantastic. The kids had a lot of fun. Were excited to go back on the second day and learned much more that expected. The kids were only disappointed that I hadnt booked more days. Next time we will. All of the instructors in the kids club were extremely friendly and welcoming and the kids club is very well designed. The kids respond well to the little slopes and lifts and colorful and playful environment.
Great family friendly ski school. Group lessons for the kids are great and private lessons for more advanced skiers.
Fantastic instructor. Harry was amazing! Will be booking again next year.

Had a 2 hour private lesson today and it was such a great experience. We’re beginner skiers with some experience. Our instructor Thijs was amazing. He took his time explaining all the drills we went over, he was super approachable, and his English was perfect (for us non German speakers). Would 100% recommend the school and if possible asking for instruction from Thijs!
We had some great days with you. Learnt a lot and get over fear because of the relax attitude of Michael. Such a good time, give our kind regards and love to him and hope to see you next time!
Had a brilliant time and experience with Adventure last month. The rental workers are very experienced and were happy to help out find the perfect equipment, which was great for me as I usually never find boots that are comfy but managed on the first try! The ski instructors are also brilliant, Thijs (or slooty as the kids called him) was the instructor of my kids and was brilliant with the young ones, he connected with them brilliantly! And Leon the snowboarder was great for me! I was quite nervous after breaking a collarbone last time snowboarding, but he made me forget my worries very quickly! And it seemed like every instructor was super fun for all groups and it has to be said; they were very fun at Apres Ski, other than the bad dancing! Looking forward to coming back next year!
Supper beginner in skiing, I had lessons with Thajs and I am super amazed at how good and patient he was to teach me and help me overcome my fear! I stood on ski for a first time on Monday and already on Thursday Thajs helped me get on a blue slope. Amazing experience! Thank you Thajs!
Fantastic experience. Kids loved everyday and could t stop talking about how much fun it was. There is an option for the kids to have lunch with the teachers and their new friends! There is a cool race each week which is the right balance between fun and taste of competition. Kids had the confidence and skill to go up the mountain by the end of the week. Big shout out to Ilvy, Levi and Matthias for such wonderful work the the kids. It’s important to make sure the kids have fun and learn and they got the balance correct. Our kids speak English and German and all instructors worked in multiple languages. Kids sorted. I am a skier with 20’years experience but hadn’t skied in 10 years. I had taken a private lesson with Cas. Two hours and my skiing experience improved a lot. I only wish I had done it earlier in the trip. You can rent equipment there too, the quality is great and the experience is seamless. The value for money is excellent too. Would highly recommend for all levels. Well done. Six stars if I could.
Our 2 kids had few private lessons and the teachers were great! We were fully satisfied. Thank you!
Had a great week of skiing with Jojo. By day 4 we were all singing backstreet boys songs coming down the mountain. Next year we hope to add some nsync to the lessons :)
Great experience on the slopes and good rental service! The view at the top is simply stunning, Would reccomend it for anyone!

This facility is very well maintained, the staff is very friendly and if you don't feel like playing mini golf, you can stop for a coffee in a beautiful ambience and a fascinating panoramic view.
