This is a review of the cafe. We often go there on Sundays with our son who has learning disabilities. They are really helpful and always make an effort to accommodate us and our son’s needs. Today Natalie who works there gave us some Christmas biscuits, which was so kind! There is a good selection of cakes and other sweets. The coffee is good, there is a nice indoor area and an equally nice outside area. The disabled loo is also excellent - clean and well maintained. All in all a very good place to visit. Closes at 4pm on a Sunday so get there in good time to enjoy a cuppa and a snack.
Very small but charming gallery inside Sunbury Park walled garden. Some pieces are permanent and others, by a different artist, are available for sale. Few souvenirs or accessories are also sold.
Such a lovely place to visit very pretty this time of year.
Lovely place for a cup of tea. There's a free museum showing off the town's impressive millennial embroidery. The gardens are quite beautiful too. We caught a free afternoon concert going on
Beautiful cafe and free gallery in Sunbury. The homemade cake is delicious and the gardens are beautiful. A hidden haven.
A Sweet Spot with a Slow Pace We visited this cafe with our kids and husband right as it opened. While the signs outside near the car parks indicated that the cafe opens earlier, we found ourselves among the first few customers. There was a bit of a rush as many orders were placed around the same time. We ordered two coffees and two cakes. The cakes arrived about 12 minutes after ordering and were absolutely delicious. However, the coffee took a bit longer to prepare, ready 23 minutes after ordering, which we eventually decided to take away. Unfortunately, the coffee didn't quite meet our expectations. The cafe boasts a clean environment with a beautiful garden view, which makes for a lovely backdrop while enjoying a treat. The staff were friendly and welcoming. While the experience was pleasant overall, the pace of service seemed more suited to a relaxed, leisurely visit rather than a quick stop. If we were to return, it would likely be to grab some cakes to go, as they were the highlight of our visit. This spot seems ideal for locals who can enjoy a slower pace of life. For those in a hurry, it might be best to plan for a more relaxed visit or opt for takeaway.
I was so lucky to visit on a glorious sunny day and really enjoyed looking at the embroidery. It's amazing want can happen just with needle and thread. Highly recommend the cafe and lovely to walk round the garden.
Great local galley and park. Next to galley has Sunbury park. You can enjoy walk, but we went there rainy day. We missed Wallington boots. :)) I think it would be better summer time or sunny ☀️ weather. Parking one hour free!

Spacious, low-ceilinged pub with wooden floors, mismatched tables and an 'edible' beer garden.

We have just rounded off a fantastic weekend trip to watch the rugby with a fantastic Sunday roast at the White Horse in Richmond. A really brilliant proper pub with a superb Sunday lunch menu that catered for all our family. The Pork Belly bites were incredible and the Cauliflower Cheese you could eat on its own… a must try! The staff were brilliant and easily the nicest roast I’ve had in years!
Lovely pub on one of the nicest spots on the Thames in Richmond. Service is very pretty good, the staff is quick and they attend you once you re at the bar . It’s really good on Sunday
Exactly what we had hoped for after our 14km hike in the park. 5 minutes from the park entrance and 5 minutes from the Overground Station. But nicely tucked away on a quiet side street. Definitely worth the wander off the High Street. A classic pub that has a good lunch menu (picture attached), and a good wine selection. The very attentive and welcoming host made us feel right at home. Once we made it obvious we were hungry AND open to some good banter, our lunch came as quick as his quips. Then we discovered that the Fish and Chips were prepared Gluten Free, a real bonus for a celiac like myself. There's an outside back garden for the sunny days and a cozy feeling inside for those damp and dreary days. Wander in, it's worth it.
Had an amazing time here, the food was incredible, in particular the sticky pork belly bites and the beef roast. The staff were incredibly helpful and attentive all throughout the meal too. As cosy as a pub can get and a great place to watch the rugby too.
We love our local pub. The food is top notch and generous in portion size, staff are lovely and make you feel at home. Michael is a legend! Vegan and dog friendly 🥰
Stopped in at The White Horse in Richmond and was really impressed. The beer garden has a lovely atmosphere, perfect for a relaxed afternoon or evening. The food was excellent—fresh, tasty, and well presented—and the staff were warm and welcoming throughout. A great spot all round, and I’ll definitely be coming back.
Good pub a short walk from the station. Decent food; Sunday roast is always popular. Very popular with families, particularly those with young children. Direct access to a small local authority playground through a back gate - plenty of slides, swings, climbing frames, and so on for young children to burn off energy. Reasonable prices.
Just had a lovely, tasty, chicken & mushroom pie (with all the trimmings) & it was very reasonably priced too, so thank you guys 😋 - you should put pies as a permanent option on your menu #britishpieweek

A good local pub and great atmosphere a good selection of beers at very reasonable prices!
Lovely olde style English pub. Cosy atmosphere. Good service. Only criticism (and I don't drink ale) it's only have Greene King IPA to offer real ale drinkers.
Proper old fashioned pub. No doggy menus here, just scampi fries! Friendly barman, enjoying banter
Good fish and chips, very long wait if you are picking up yourself. Delivery drivers seem to jump the queue. I will order delivery next time.
Love the place and love the staff my favourite chippy
Such a lovely authentically old pub! The barmaid Gemma is an asset to the pub and made us feel so welcome. But so did the locals and the landlord. The prices are so reasonable. You definitely have to visit and I will be coming back again.
Since the new management came around, I just felt really disrespected and disappointed as I used to come here regularly back when there was the old management however when he left I got asked to leave and not come back to the pub for awhile and I never found out the real reason but the reason they gave me was that I was young (20) and there was a lot of old men in the pub... and they wanted to find out what it's like and then I can come back. I felt disrespected as I used to work behind a bar at a pub and this pub was my comfort spot. I'm not a dodgy person or anything at all and I've always been friendly however not overly friendly so I just never understood and I just felt like they were assuming stuff about it, which like I said I felt really disrespected, probably wouldn't recommend for young people... as you will get judged.
First time in here after living in area for many years. Deceiving from the front but has 2 seperate bars to chose from. Main bar is busier with more space and side bar with dart board is cozy with similar ambience but able to hold a conversation without having to shout. Jukebox on a Friday banging out some decent choons thanks to the locals which gave a good vibe. Sode bar also has dart board! Will be going back again, nice little pub 👍

Lovely time with the Sunday roast for our family and kind people running the pub which made a great experience.
Today I had my first Sunday roast here, and it was lovely- just like Mum used to cook 😀! Everything cooked beautifully, and the staff were all friendly and welcoming. Thank you ☺️
Went for the Sunday roast, and it was fantastic, a traditional home roast, cooked beautifully, great service always going back 😋
Staff were amazing, had our small wedding reception here. Staff went above and beyond. Thank you 😊
Great live music open mic nights
Good pub for locals who are a decent bunch.
Went for Chas & Dave Cockney knees up evening (with pie and mash). Food was a substantial portion. Music was OK, but would've been nice if had been a live artists or more varied music. We only really a play list on a device. Atmosphere was actually a bit flat for 'Cockney Knees Up' .....I appreciate management can only provide music/food, patrons need to create the atmosphere....
It's my local. Everybody knows each other. Very friendly. Just introducing burger/kebab van. Looking forward to trying that out asap. Lovely inside - recently refurbished. Thanks to Sara and Cameron!

Staff are Friendly, Professional & Great People. The food is Scrumptious, Well Presented, superb value and large portions. You will never leave hungry from here. In my eyes This is Best Pub in Sunbury and for many miles around.
Great pub! Just got back from a lovely evening here. Very friendly staff. Nice atmosphere. Very dog friendly. We had great food. Amazing pizza!! And very reasonably priced. Decent priced drinks too considering the location. We are local and the first time eating here, we will be back!
We stopped off for lunch today and enjoyed great food in 1 of the 3 absolutely spotless gardens. Our 2 golden retrievers enjoyed a sparkling bowl of cold water and were safe as the garden was enclosed and safe. Would highly recommend this lovely pub.
Excellent place for a Sunday lunch 👍
The vibe was off! The food was mediocre! Goods pints but disappointing cocktails… I felt for the 3x bartenders; they were always running to manage but the generally below standard.
Absolutely amazing food and very good value for your money. The staff are very nice. We had a great meal would highly recommend and will definitely be going back.
Lovely roomy but cosy pub serving delicious looking food (although I didn't eat). The service was very attentive, friendly and accommodating for a group in the pub.
Wow, its pretty busy today. All seats inside taken so sat outside in the rain, but the pergola roof system kept us dry, so all good

We had a great time as a family!
Nice food, beautiful location, fun races, live DJ music evening afterwards started well. Lots of families and young kids around but some heavy drinking going on. Then several large group fights broke out with security missing in action. Lots of drama with security chasing around some drunk, 45 minutes to get a screen around someone injured our cold on the floor. Police and ambulance finally arrived, bar closed early about 9pm… Felt quite unsafe for families.
The changes to the Grand National for 2024 are pathetic, you have been killing what this race stands for, for the last 10 years but these new changes which nobody was asking for are a disgrace. Another win for the tiny minority that won’t to ban the National. You are a pathetic joke.
Here for the James bond theme Christmas evening Bar staff have got to be some of the worst I've ever come across may as well have given the job to my 2 year old more attention would be payd to customer service
Beautiful views. Great food and drink. Lovely staff.
Michelle was fantastic in helping me!
Gets a bit too crowded.
