Visiting Quinta do Crasto was an unforgettable experience, combining breathtaking views, a fantastic tour, and exceptional wines. This estate is truly a gem in the Douro Valley, and I highly recommend adding it to your itinerary if you’re exploring the region. We originally came across it in Worlds Beat Wines and decided to give it a shot. The tour was incredibly insightful—our guide walked us through the history of the estate, the vineyards, and the winemaking process, making it both educational and engaging. We got to see the cellars where the wines age and learn about the techniques that make Quinta do Crasto’s wines so special. The wine tasting was outstanding—we sampled a selection of red, white, and port wines, and each one showcased the quality and character of the region. The balance, depth, and flavors of their wines were truly remarkable. One of the best parts of the visit was relaxing on the terrace, which offers panoramic views of the rolling vineyards and the Douro River below. The scenery is absolutely stunning, making it the perfect spot to enjoy a glass of wine. The pool area is another standout feature—although we didn’t swim, it’s one of the most scenic pools I’ve ever seen, perched above the valley with unparalleled views. Between the amazing tour, top-tier wines, and incredible setting, Quinta do Crasto is a must-visit in the Douro Valley. The combination of great hospitality, stunning landscapes, and fantastic wines makes this experience one to remember. Highly recommend!
Amazing place with unforgettable view on Douro river. You can taste here a top of the top porto wines, red and white wines from the Crasto vineyard. Place which you see once and need to come back. Thank you, Miguel and your family, Catia for great stories about wines we tasted, Gilberto for everything 🙂 and rest of coworkers for wonderful wine dinner, excellent food and atmosphere which made us feeling almost like part of Crasto family. Muito obrigado 🙂
Had a tour around the premises before a 3 course dinner paired with a wine tasting of 5 really nice wines, sitting with a great view. Service was on great and our lovely waiter even insisted on driving us home to the vineyard next door where we were staying because it had gotten so dark. Nothing could have been done better, if you can, go here.
This was an unmatched and stunning experience. Our tour guide Su was the best guide I’ve had - and I’ve been to dozens of wineries. Highly recommend!
Perfect visit, Antonio the guide was so gentle and also very knowledgeable, congratulations, one complaint about the waitress that served us and we've asked for 2 cheese and ham tables she brought 2 and at the end charged 4, we've felt scammed.
Excellent Wines Magnificent Landscapes, all the costumers are very well received. Need to make a Reservation !!!
I would rate this 100 stars if I could. I have visited Douro Valley and do Crasto twice now and both experiences have been top class. Amazing wines. Friendly people. Spectacular views. You will not be disappointed.
Loved the lunch tasting experience and wine tasting/tour here today.

A True Gem for Wine Enthusiasts! I recently had the pleasure of visiting kissing winery (musi in Estonian 🇪🇪) and I can confidently say it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment you arrive, the breathtaking scenery sets the tone for an unforgettable experience. The guy is positive and super knowledgable about winery! Amazing 🫶
We had such a great time on this wine tour! It was the perfect mix of history and tasting—getting to learn about the winemaking process while sipping on some amazing wines, including some really good port (loved the white port, tastes like maple syrup). Learning about the barrels and going inside was a cool experience! Cheers!
Amazing wine tasting experience! We tasted both wine and port, learned so much, and even got to go inside a wine barrel—such a unique highlight. The place is absolutely beautiful, with thoughtful touches everywhere, even in the artwork. João was a fantastic guide, sharing key insights in a clear and engaging way. Highly recommend!
My first wine tour and this where they make fine Portuguese Wine and Port style wine. Its small and family run. Jules the wine maker had some good humor, sarcasm and great wit. I did learn a bit about wine, vineyards and how to lighten up. I recommend you come here and try some wine thats still made the traditional way and enjoy the beauty of wine making.
Quinta do Beijo (“The Kiss”) is a small, family-run winery in the Cima Corgo subregion of the Douro, known for its rich ports and warm climate. The visit had a lighthearted, tourist-friendly vibe — a bit more polished and playful than other estates we visited. There were rehearsed jokes, photo ops, and even a chance to crawl inside an empty port barrel for fun pictures. We learned about their traditional barrel-sealing method using newspapers and pork fat, a practice that connects their production to generations past. The tasting included several ports, but the clear standout was the 50-year-old tawny — rich, nutty, beautifully balanced, and absolutely worth the visit on its own. While it’s a bit more commercial than some other quintas, it’s still a welcoming and enjoyable stop, especially for anyone new to the world of Port.
Visited as part of our wine-tasting journey around the Douro. And demonstrating the fact that your experience is very much led by the nature of your guide. Ours, though having a lot of the necessary stories and some humour, was undoubtedly the most negative guide I've ever had- particularly on the subject of the 'wine mafia' who appear to control the valley; and how he nearly failed his qualifications because of them. We were trying to make conversation but ended up going down this unhelpful rabbit-hole... Regardless, the white wines we tried were reasonable (I'm much more in favour of reds, to be fair); but it was the ports that really stood out. The sweet white was powerful and full; but it was the 10-year-old tawny that really stood out- like a rich honey nectar. Delicious and the best I've had so far.
We had a great time with our tour, and the wine tasting was super fun. Highly recommend this winery to do it with a group of friends or as a couple.
Another amazing tour of a small vineyard with a very unique experience besides the great white, red, and port wines; guest get to enter an actual -3k ltr wooden barrel. Sarah was a high energy hostess with a fantastics sense of humor. Great place.

Once in a lifetime experience. Antonio, Gloria and their Olive Tree farm have impacted my life forever. They are such welcoming people that I host differently now when we have people over. They are full of life and friendliness. He takes you on a tour of their Olive tree farm but really it feels like being in the garden of Adam and Eve. There are fig trees, cork trees, berries (I forget the name of) and while we were there you could hear the neighboring olive tree farmers singing and joking with each other through the trees. Then he shows you how he processes the olives into oil followed by an incredible feast made by Gloria. We were there for 6 hours and would have stayed longer if I wasn't so tired from all our traveling. One day I hope to return and until then I think of that day often.
What a memorable experience. António and his wife are very welcoming. We can feel their passion for what they do. We felt like VIPs during the visit. We started with a tour of the groves in António's jeep and ended with excellent snacks prepared by Gloria. We highly recommend this visit.
We just came back from the tour with Antonio. It was one of our favorite experiences in Portugal ! It was very authentic, it felt like going to visit a family or a friend. I expected the food tasting to be cheese and bread only, which would have been good! But Antonio’s wife made an incredible meal, one of the best we have eaten in Portugal. It was very fresh and filling! Overall great experience, would highly recommend anyone who comes to Douro Valleu to do this !
A MUST when in the Douro valley! This olive oil farm is run by the most adorable couple. Antonio will take you out on a jeep to see the olive trees while giving extensive explanations on not only olive farming but other activities and history of the region. He is super charming and speaks excellent English. I recommend booking the tour with lunch or dinner after, which is served in a cute little cottage-like structure in their yard overlooking the valley. The food was amazing, 100% hyper local produce enjoyed in an authentic way. The food focuses on their amazing olive oil of course and the dessert is picked right from their gardens. Definitely one of the best parts of our whole stay in Portugal at a very affordable price! We bought some bottles of olive oil from their shop to take back home. They even took my food allergies into consideration at a very short notice!
One of our best experiences in Portugal. Very personable olive oil tour with great food and great company with Antonio and Gloria. We have traveled extensively and if you are in Duro Valley, you must visit. Highly recommended!!
This was one of our most memorable experiences. Our friend called far too late to ask if we could visit, and Antonio, after consulting with his "boss", Gloria, graciously told us to stop by. We had a detailed explanation of the harvest and processing methods, with history lessons thrown in. We then had the most amazing feast prepared by Gloria. We were not expecting it at all. There were local dishes prepared and featuring olive oil. So creative and delicious! Antonio entertained us with stories and more history lessons while we stuffed ourselves. When we thought we couldn't have more, Gloria brought the freshest dessert that was just perfect. After saying thanks to the chef, Antonio took us on a tour of his property, where we learned so much more. The whole experience was informative and delicious, but also just so lovely and warm. They welcomed us into their home, and we felt it. Highly recommend!
We came to Douro and happened to discover this amazing olive farm. We had such a treat with a beautiful Jeep tour of the 17-acre olive tree property, and learned so much from Antonio. He is a gracious and knowledgeable host, and so entertaining! Next we had a beautiful dinner (to call it a “tasting” is not even close to what it is), featuring the olive oil in every course, and prepared by Antonio’s amazing and delightful wife. We could only come around 7:45pm, and still we stayed until nearly midnight. Amazing tour and loved the couple! Could not recommend more.
The other day we went on a wine tour. The guide was friendly but seemed to be going through the motions. We tasted a few decent wines, learned next to nothing about wine making and were on our way. Today we went on an olive oil tour at Lagar da Sancha. The contrast could not have been more stark. Antonio was an extraordinarily hospitable guide, showing us around his fields and explaining every step of the process in fascinating detail. We then had a delicious lunch. The tour was scheduled for 2.5 hours; we ended up spending over 3.5 hours there, enjoying great food and conversation while gazing out over the gorgeous scenery. "Hidden gem" is a phrase that gets overused, but in this case it fits. This tour was probably the best day of our two-week vacation. Book it!

What a great place. We stayed here overnight with our motorhome and booked with a company called Portugal EasyCamp. The area is lovely and what they have achieved for bees is tremendous. Their products are lovely and they have such a wealth of knowledge. An excellent experience and highly recommended.
Absolutely lovely family with great hospitality. They were very kind to let us set up tent for a night and even took the time show us their products the next morning on a very busy day. Cannot recommend them enough!
Incredible honey, and highly interesting honey tasting with fantastic facts about bee’s and how these authentic nature loving beekeepers work. I love honey, and always love tasting new ones, I must say that the flavours produced by the Apibericos bees are some of the best I have tasted so far. I obviously left with a trunk full of honey and will be back for more when I come back to Portugal. Thank you so much for your hospitality
Brilliant little honey farm. Laura was incredibly polite and showed us through the beehives and the process behind everything. The honey was incredible and there is a place to stay for RV camping. Free water and electricity are available. It is well worth the visit. Obrigado para tudo!
It was a surprisingly interesting and fun activity for the whole family. The hosts were very knowledgeable, friendly and welcoming. We are now great fans of the bee world and definitely bee sentinels!
Good place to stay with your van and buy very tasteful products around honey ! Really nice people working with passion and you can feel it ! If it's on the road, don't hesitate to visit them !

Antonio senior and Antonio junior were perfect for our half day private boat tour in the Douro Valley. Their boat is right next to the Ferrao train station and they are a wonderful team! The boat is so majestic and in fantastic condition from the 1970’s. There is a bathroom if you need and plenty of space to roam around in and out of the cabin. The sunshade is great for the intense sun during midday. We especially loved hearing about the region and tasting the wines—all accompanied by their family jams and appetizers! We even docked the boat for a second for a quick dip in the Douro river—truly the highlight of our trip!
Wonderful tour. Antonio is such a great host
If you do one thing in the Douro wine region, make it a 1/2 day river cruise with Antonio and his son - Antonio Jr. in their magnificent Trawler - “ Senhora do Carmo”. Although the sheer size of the Trawler vs the limited guests allowed the Duoro River cruise to be smooth and intimate, it was their genuine warmth and exceptional hospitality that truly set them apart. The selection and serving of local wines alongside perfectly paired hors d’oeuvres were superb, elevated by their fascinating knowledge of the region’s unique terroir, viticulture wine making and captivating stories of the area; definitely brought the landscape to life! It wasn’t only an enlightening cruise; it was a master class portraying the soul of the Douro wine region while delivered with unforgettable charm. We exhort you to experience this intimate, authentic and utterly refined cruise, particularized by both Antonios’ evident love to provide its guests a once in a lifetime experience. You will feel like family by the journey’s end. One of the highlights of the entire four weeks Portuguese adventure! Monique & Georgie
Beautiful location. The Rivus Douro Wine Boat cruise was amazing!! Antonio’s knowledge and hospitality along with the beautiful scenery and wine tasting was the highlight of our trip 😀
Excellent staff, beautiful views, delicious wines and very tasty food. Perfect.
