Great wine, wonderful people, very down to earth wine tasting, everybody feels included regardless of previous experience, great customer service! Definitely recommend if you are in the region!
(Translated by Google) THE friendly winery in Andau! It should be a short trip to Andau, with a little nature, wine, enjoyment and also a bit of sport. It is precisely this sport that enabled us to come across this winery. We passed the Zantho winery on our bike trip, both luckily and accidentally, twice. The first time we thought that only aloof and impersonal handling would be offered here. It looked simple from the outside, a little fancy to me (which I later confirmed was absolutely not the case). But it happened as it had to, we got lost and came by a second time. So we thought, let’s just try it. Well, there we were in the sales room, full of excitement and anticipation. A young lady immediately comes and greets us very friendly. And things continued just as friendly for the next half hour. But of course it's not just the friendliness that counts, we were also impressed by this woman's knowledge and the friendly way in which she conveyed this knowledge and shared it with us fascinated us. We tasted all the wines, including perhaps the best rum I've ever drunk (and I know a few of them), as well as two types of delicious gin. When it comes to wine, I have to say that really good white wines are made here. The Zweigelt Reserve was my favorite red wine (not too strong and a balanced fruity note). The pink (rose) is also worth recommending and has a unique taste. The taste reminded us of an experience we had recently on our holiday on Helgoland. Since we were there by bike, we couldn't take the goodies we bought with us right away and so we came back by car the next day. Unfortunately the lady from the day before wasn't there. But her colleague was also so nice, friendly and immediately likeable. The boss not only has a knack for great wine, but also for perfect staff! In summary, all we can say is: Top staff, excellent wines (no matter what color), gin and especially the rum are highly recommended. If you are in Andau you have to visit Zantho, anything else would be a loss! We'll definitely be back! Addendum: As soon as I ordered it arrived. This is how it should be (see last picture) (Original) DAS sympathische Weingut in Andau! Nachtrag: Kaum bestellt schon angekommen. So soll es sein (siehe letztes Bild)
(Translated by Google) The visit to the Zantho winery was a true delight for the senses. From the wonderful location in the heart of a picturesque countryside to the exquisite wines we tasted, everything was perfectly organized and presented. But what really made our visit unforgettable was the warm support we received from Anna. Anna and the entire Zantho team not only knew how to introduce excellent wines, but also conveyed a piece of their passion for wine to us. The Zantho winery is an absolute recommendation for all wine lovers and those who want to become one. We look forward to our next visit and discovering even more of what Zantho has to offer.

My favorite Austrian wine maker Weingut Hannes Reeh is an innovative Austrian winery that has made a significant mark for its unique approach to winemaking, blending tradition with modern techniques. Located in the Burgenland region, known for its exceptional terroir and favorable climate for growing a variety of grapes, Hannes Reeh’s wines are a reflection of both the land and the winemaker’s creative spirit. Wines and Style: Hannes Reeh specializes in a wide range of wines, but is particularly celebrated for his work with local varieties such as Blaufränkisch, Zweigelt, and Welschriesling, as well as international varieties like Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The wines often stand out for their intensity, depth, and purity of fruit flavors. They display a great balance of freshness and complexity, with the reds showcasing rich, dark fruit notes and a smooth, integrated tannin structure, while the whites tend to have bright acidity and a crisp, mineral finish. Sustainability and Innovation: One of the key aspects of Weingut Hannes Reeh is its commitment to sustainable farming practices. The estate is known for minimal intervention in both the vineyard and the cellar, allowing the natural characteristics of the grapes and terroir to shine through. The wines are crafted with a light touch, focusing on quality and expression rather than manipulation. Reeh often utilizes organic farming principles and has earned a reputation for experimenting with new and unusual techniques, such as fermenting wines with indigenous yeasts. Notable Wines: • Blaufränkisch: Known for its bold fruit flavors, peppery spice, and well-structured tannins, this wine is a great representation of the Burgenland region and is a standout in the winery’s portfolio. • Zweigelt: This easy-drinking red offers a fruit-forward profile with cherry and berry notes, making it an approachable and versatile wine. • Welschriesling: A fresh, aromatic white with notes of citrus, apple, and subtle floral undertones. It’s light yet complex, with a crisp finish that is perfect for pairing with a variety of foods. Overall Impression: Weingut Hannes Reeh is a dynamic and forward-thinking winery that is dedicated to producing wines that speak to the terroir and showcase the best of Austrian viticulture. The wines are well-crafted, vibrant, and complex, and their commitment to sustainability and innovation makes them a standout in the region. Whether you’re a casual wine enthusiast or a serious connoisseur, Hannes Reeh’s wines are a delightful experience that offer great value and insight into Austria’s modern winemaking landscape.
Very nice Weingut, welcoming, personal and knowledgeable staff guiding us through their nice range of wines. We happened to meet the charismatic owner as well, and we look forward to visiting again in the vintage time with a golden fall time of long sunny days!

Beautiful building and area. We enjoyed a wine tasting there which was very interesting. Purchased quite a few to take away.
Mario and Peter Weishapl took us to visit in the fall of 2012. Katarina gave us the tour and let us sample some wine. The wine was superb and we bought some to take back to the United States with us.
