Great museum, well organised and quiet. If you visited the Louisiana... come here as well. Nice garden, shop and bar as well. Come for the peaceful atmosphere.
This museum displays the art collection of a clay brick Baron. It is a good collection of mainly portraits from different epochs. There are also some family portraits. I particularly liked the photos of the family and the brick workers There is a nice gift shop and cafe. A lot of attention has been paid to make the museum experience attractive to children, so all the family can enjoy it. It is a short drive from Copenhagen and close to the sea. There are lovely gardens to explore which must be magnificent when the rhododendrons bloom.
A very lovely place popular for the wonderful garden (for which the access is free), for good lunch options and of course, for the museum itself. Definitely worth visiting.
We came here a late Sunday afternoon mid August of 2025 to listen to the Norwegian born artist Ann Lislegaard's sound installation presenting the sound of extinct birds in the beautiful rhododendron park close to the straight separating Denmark from Sweden. Well hidden loudspeakers are mounted in the high trees and the sound of these birds creates a surreal atmosphere, in particular when mixed with the sounds of birds living in the park. Unfortuntely we were well beyond the flowering season of the rhododendrons, so that will be for a future visit. We had coffee and cake on their terrace afterwards and visited the nice museum shop for some purchases.
We went there for Affie Atkins event, it was super fun. There were area for creative activity, book area, collages, play areas and so on. We could only see half of the place. The toilet with changing table is big, there is free locker. Big bag and liquid from outside is not allowed in the museum. The museum has own cafe with light lunch, drinks (coffee, soft and beer) at an ok price. Both outside and inside tables are available. There is also a garden for a short walk. The staffs were very friendly especially to kids.
It is first time I visited this smaller museum. Fine collection of paintings. Very friendly and good service
Lovely gardens, peaceful and tranquil environment surrounds the gallery. Quaint gallery with pleasant variety of Danish art. Very enjoyable day trip.
I went on Sunday 12th October - an unseasonably warm (right, how low can we keep saying so?) day with sunshine, and golden brown leaves shedding from trees. The museum is beautifully situated just off the coast, in green surroundings. It is a very lovely museum, and the current special exhibition was fantastic. Danish painter Janus la Cour from the 19th century was exhibited with a large number of paintings under the title "quietness". He painted after the golden period, in the beginning of modernism, and made his own niche. Nature was important to him, more so than people and other reminders of humanity, but while there is only one painting with people (see if you can spot them in the landscape) there is in 9/10 paintings some signs of humans. A sailing ship on the ocean, the ruts of a horse carriage path through the landscape, or the remains of an old wooden fence. He was a gifted painter - and the exhibition is very recommendable!

Cute little Harbour with a spot to have fries, icecream or a coffee. Next to the beach as well!
Very nice place, there is a restaurant, some snackbar and lots of beautiful sailing boats.. You can see the coastline of Sweden. I enjoyed my American coffee while watching the waves do their thing and a nice windy brush through my hair 🙂
Best local harbour. Yearly harbour party is a must . One of the 1. Saturday in June. 10. june 2023
Nice area for a walk. Have not reviewed the Marina.
Nice spot for sailors to spend the night. Clear water near it and it is close to a beautiful village. The wc could be better.
New owners at the ice-cream stand.. very nice service and sweet people.
Lovely harbour with a few nice restaurants and ice cream options
Beautiful small port where you can rent a boat and go fishing.

Love finding random historical buildings
Fantastic historic place. Industri as it was in the good of days. The blacksmith lets kids make their own iron fire poker. And the stories told are amazing, even includes ww2 stories.
A fabulous building in a very nice area ,fantastic to think how many houses they have made bricks for in the big oven !
Very interesting site. Unfortunately it was closed when we visited, but still worth checking out
Great place to bring kids, who are invited to make their own bricks. Guided tours inside the old factory are also offered.
Old world charm...family here
(Translated by Google) Nivå Teglværk's ring kiln is an impressive piece of industrial architectural design, which stands as testimony to both functionality and aesthetics. The kiln, which is a central part of the brickworks' structure, presents itself with an exterior that radiates both robustness and a distinctive beauty. Its ring-shaped construction is not only functional, but gives the oven a dynamic and almost organic expression. The exterior is characterized by the characteristic yellow brick, which characterizes the brickworks and its long history of manufacturing high-quality bricks. The brickwork on the outside of the ring oven is carried out with great precision, and each stone is set with a skill that ensures both stability and an aesthetically pleasing appearance. The kiln appears solid and reliable, which reflects the practical purpose it serves as part of the brickworks' production of bricks. At the same time, the slight variations in the color and texture of the brick give the stove a certain dynamism and life, which makes it not only a functional machine, but also a visual element in the landscape. The outer ring oven testifies to a craftsmanship where tradition and modern technology meet. This is reflected in the way the oven's design both respects old building traditions, while at the same time adapting to industrial development. The combination of solidity and beauty makes the ring kiln an impressive sight that reinforces the historical and cultural value of Nivå Teglværk.

This is one of the most welcoming and professional polo clubs I have ever played at. Christian and Anoo are kind, relaxed and lovely, the staff are outstanding and the ponies are treated like family. The grounds are perfect, stables immaculate, planning and client safety is firmly in place. I highly recommend this club.
We went for a very insightful and just plain hyggelig 90-minutes introduction with the club owner-founder and watched the subsequent match - and only rarely do you get to spend such a great time with just really nice folks 🙂. And the Yellowstone-themed cowboy-toast and drinks were really good - in the somewhat chilly Danish May Sunday afternoon. Every Sunday @1400 you can go there for a game of polo - what's not to like 🙂
Great experience 🤩 trained horses 🐎 and caring staff 🤠
I have only passed by on many occasions but never gone in. It is perhaps the most wonderful site for a polo match in the whole of Europe.
Wonderful time with expert tuition and horses that remained resolutely unimpressed. Going again soon
Fantastic setting, great horses and wonderful players. Try it too!
Incredibly fun experience and super nice people!
The heart of Danish polo, a really great experience, fantastic professional team
