A traditional heritage museum with few surprises, but that certainly doesn't mean it's not worth the visit. It's large (to properly walk around the whole thing you need at least two hours), and truly transports you back to the previous centuries. The place is divided into a few sections representing different regions, and across the area there are scattered a few small shops with traditional pastry, wine or herbs. The best part is the guides in some of the houses telling you about the different aspects of the everyday life.

FOLKLORNY FESTIVAL STRAZNICE 1994

Really beautifuly made area where they show you how people used to live in Czech Republic, in South-east Moravia. There are many buildings, and in a few of them are guides, telling you about specific part of the life in past. Like giving birth, weaving, marriage traditions,... The whole tour in village is not too long, nor too short. From the start it may be confusing as to where to go, but it will become clear soon enough. Beautiful place with showing of typical historic houses in the area of eastern Czechia (Morava). There are houses from more regions, all are very authentic as they were either moved here or built in the traditional way. In some of the houses there are guides who might tell you what the life of peasants looked like.

We visited the blue print family factory, we receive a very warm welcome and interesting information about this type of technique of printing on fabric. Wish them the blue print will be added to the list of UNESCO world heritage soon. Very good to see that people love their job and try to spread the knowledge within public. Also the castle and scansen is worth visiting.

Beautiful open air museum, there are lots of structures here from various parts of Slovácko region. So it displays a really interesting variety of local vernacular architecture.
