Güssing Castle is an absolute gem! The museum is nice and well-organized, providing a fascinating glimpse into its history. The employees at the ticket counter were fantastic, offering great guidance and support as we planned our visit (ticket = 8.5 EUR per person, very much worth every penny!) ✨ The bathrooms were spotless and well-maintained, which really was a plus. Parking was free, and for those with mobility concerns, there’s an elevator (for 2 EUR per person) that makes accessing the castle much easier for the elderly. Overall, an amazing experience, and I highly recommend a visit!

Excellent castle that has been well preserved and clean with an expansive museum. Spent a few hours here exploring, enjoying the views, and learning about the castle’s history. The walk up is steep but short; if someone in your group isn’t up for the hike you can use the elevator. There is currently no restaurant on top, but our group wasn’t visiting for food or drink just to enjoy the castle. The cashier has snacks, drinks, if needed along with some gifts. Overall, Burg Gussing is a nice medieval castle that’s worth the visit if you want to see beautiful views and learn a little about local history.

Beautiful view, historical atmosphere and easy parking close to the main entrance/elevator. GOOD TO KNOW: They don't accept credit/debit cards at the elevator (2€ pro person), or tickets, or at castle restaurant.

The oldest castle in Burgenland and definitely worth the climb up (also get’s your heart pumping). Once at the top don’t forget to have lunch at the gasthaus with the beautiful view over Burgenland!

Sure there are bigger more majestic and lavish castles and chateaus in Europe but this one feels more like your hometown everyday castle with just as long history as Versaille. Still offers u unprecedented access to medieval castle life and magnificent panoramic view to surrounding country. Maybe it was the first castle we visited on this trip, maybe it was the company (wonderful friends from Tobaj hosted us and showed us around), but it was a complete experience
