Amazing surf school. I went with my partner who had never surfed and I hadn't surfed in a few years. We had Hollie who did an amazing job of making sure that we both had relevant instruction for the full lesson, to make sure we both developed. Hollie was great she is full of energy and enthusiasm and really helped reassure my partner who was a bit nervous in the waves to start off with. So much so we ended up going back for another lesson the next day. Would highly recommend to anyone in the area looking for a surf school.
Brilliant surf school. Super skilled instructors, on a great beach, good value and very flexible.. walk in and learn to surf! We were all standing up in less than 2 hours! Wow.. Sam Smart is such a great instructor, he grew up on this beach and has surfed all over the world. My children were hooked from day one!
I couldn’t have picked a better surf school! Sam is the best teacher anyone could ask for, super fun and full of energy. By the end of my lesson, I was able to catch a wave and stand up, and he even let me keep the board to keep practicing afterward. I had such a great time that day, and I’d be well up for another lesson next time I’m around Sennen. Keep up the good work!
This was my first experience of surfing, we had an hour and half lesson with Holly , and she was amazing, full of energy and very warm, she managed to get me standing up in my first lesson.
These were the best surf lessons we've ever done! The group sizes are small and Hollie is an excellent teacher - she catered the lesson exactly to our level and built up our confidence on the water. She was super enthusiastic and supportive. We booked in straight away for a second lesson. Great value for a really personalised lesson run by local people. Highly recommend!
Our surfing skills improved dramatically this week at Smart Surf School, thanks to the brilliant and actionable advice from our instructors, Hollie and Jake. They helped us with key techniques like acceleration, slowing down, and making turns. Everyone left the lessons feeling much more confident and had a blast. The beautiful Sennen Cove was the perfect setting for a truly memorable week. Thanks so much!
Nice people, brilliant teachers, Great equipment. Best effort for your money you can get. We took individual lessons with a real professional Surfer. Within our first lesson we were able to understand the very basics of surfing and even got to the point where we were able to paddle into waves and stand up. Couldn't imagine a better start for us into this fascinating sport
We highly recommend the Smart Surf School. Thanks to Hollie and Sam our kids have learnt to surf. The team is always so friendly and helpful - and Sennen Cove is such a beautiful place. Support this local, family-run school!

We visited the famous Land’s End sign, which is probably the most iconic feature of the area. It is a great photo spot and the staff there offer the option of taking a professional picture for about £10-£11. They even change the sign to include your names or your home city, which makes it a bit more personal if you want a keepsake. There is no fee just to see the sign out take photos on your phone from a distance, but if you want that customised photo you will need to pay. Entry into Land's end is free but Parking is 20 minutes free or £7.50 for the day, and there are no hourly charges, so if you are only stopping for a quick picture the cost feels a little high. The views from the sign are wide and dramatic, and it is easy to see why it is so popular with visitors from all over the world. The weather shifted quickly during our visit, going from sunshine to cloudy and rainy with strong winds in the space of a short time, so it is worth being prepared if you want clear photos. Overall, it is a unique landmark and worth seeing at least once, but it helps to know the costs and to plan for the changing weather.
Stunning views, great staff, parking is perfect day so long walks are covered. The genteman taking the photos is very nice and professional. If you are going to lands end, you are getting a picture.
Unbelievable! The cliffs are crazy cool and even better in reallife! We were here at 7pm which was pretty good, since it was very empty but still good lighting... There are some nice shops around and a hotel.
The views from the sign area are amazing and stunning on a clear sunny day. The sign area is a little disappointing as it’s been commercialised, you need to pay to have a picture taken with your “message” on it. I suppose it’s good to mark a celebration or event that way, but most people just want a simple snapshot next to the original sign. Parking is plentiful and fixed at a day rate of £9 regardless of how long you stay ( a quick visit is not good value ). A few decent cafes and food place are situated here, the tea and scones are particularly good at the place just at the entrance. Nice place with good views and very good service with reasonable pricing. Overall a nice experience and some good areas where you can find out about Lands Ends history and stuff.
Think its a bit of a con having to pay to stand at the side of it and have your photo taket thats what happens when a private company invest in it Tourist zones and managed access: In some cases, access to the monument itself (or its immediate surroundings) is managed by a trust or private body. They may charge for entry, guided tours, or even “photo spots” with scenic backdrops. "Money making"
Pretty view, but over done. A shame it's no longer part of the national trust. I get the fact it has had £7 million put into the infrastructure and they have erected a huge complex but there's no need for a Wallace and gromit experience there haha. The view of the 270 degree sea is amazing, I would recommend coming after hours than when it is fully open as it is deserted and the restraunt is still open. There on tap selection is impressive too ( strawberry and like rattler on tap is wicked.
The entry/parking is £8 for whole day... No matter you want to stay for an hour... That pity. Entertainment part is common what you find at any pier... However, 'life music' - very charming! When the weather is nice worth to come for tje atmosphere of freedom, dramatic landscape with open space!
Lands End has some stunning views of the Longship Lighthouse, the two Reefs and the Jurassic coastline. The are some breathtaking walks along the cliff tops in both directions, more so as you walk south along the cliff tops

Our second year running. Both times have been excellent. If you're a complete beginner, nervous, or don't want to make a complete fool of yourself these guys are for you. The 3 different instructors we've had kept us super safe but encouraged us to be brave. We are all up on our feet and confident now so THANK YOU! As a complete beginner at 50, that's pretty good instructing from you guys.
We had a lesson today with Erin, she was fantastic. Kind, enthusiastic and a really good teacher. Such a lovely family run business, highly recommend lessons with these guys.
The crew at Sennen Surfing Centre are absolute legends :) I couldn't have asked for a better introduction to surfing, Jackson & Dave were both super encouraging & positive, going above & beyond to make sure that I had an amazing experience. It was so much more than just a surfing lesson, the knowledge and expertise of these guys is unmatched & their kindness & generosity is next level, they even went out of their way to help me out with directions to/from the beach, bus timings and recommendations on the area. I cant recommend Sennen Surfing Centre any more highly, thank you, thank you, thank you :)
We had our first ever surf lesson today with the team and our instructor Henry was outstanding at giving us a fully laid back lesson while sharing his 10/10 knowledge of the waves. He was so energetic and enthusiastic and filled us both with such positivity. Dave helped us pick the perfect day to come for our first time and he was also so welcoming and knowledgeable, also so excited for us to begin! Amazing value for what we received. Thank you both so much, we will be seeing you next year!
Lovely surf shop with a truely great range of products. Not only this but super knowledgeable staff who were really helpful. Definitely the spot to come if you need wetsuits or surfboards/bodyboards.
Super friendly staff - great session staff help you to go as far as you want but also not too pushy so a perfect blend. I really thought I could not get anywhere near but with encouragement from lovely Erin - success - 💖 We all had a fantastic, fun time in our group of 6 this morning - thank you SOOOO much Erin and Dave and the guy at the base - highly recommend ( from a fussy lady Lisa 😂)
Thank you to Sennen Sufing Centre. Learned to Surf all week with Dave, Henry & Calie (apologies if I mis-spelled that mate). Great team, knowledgeable, experienced, enthusiastic & patient, you couldn't ask for anything else, highly recommended. Will definately be back for a refresher when we're back in Sennen.
Good facilities but what easily earns 5 stars are the crew. The instructors are amazing. We went a couple of times with our little one and we can't recommend them enough. Really attentive and encouraging. Massive thanks, absolutely awesome.
