NOT A BEGINNER SLOPE!! There is pretty much only one slope (at least when we went) and we were assured it is classified as a blue „family“ slope. We asked at the ticket office, the rental shop and the cable car attendant to make sure but ended up walking down after several falls because as a beginner with only a couple of days skiing it is not only unskiable but downright dangerous. When we complained and asked for our money back we were told NO. The Weißensee is beautiful but for skiing go elsewhere. Not recommended in any way.

Perfect for hiking and mountain biking in the summer! When you stay at a hotel in the area you can use the lift for free, as much as you want, and even take your bicycle with you. From the top you have easy access to multiple hiking paths, and bike trails/gravel roads. Furthermore you have three singletracks (Enduro/freeride type) under the lift. They are really fun but unfortunately there's no easy one for beginners, but if you find it too difficult you could take the road down instead.

The range of gear is impressive and it all seemed to be in very good condition. I rented skates for my entire family very late one afternoon for the following days only to find that due to heavy snow fall over night the lake got closed for skating the next morning. I was able to take the skates back for a full refund - no arguing, no questions. They do have a weird policy though where you cannot rent skates for the next day unless you rent them for more than one day. So you cannot go there short before the shop closes and rent skates for the next day. That way you could avoid the rush the next morning, but you cannot do that. If it is just for one day, you must go there in the morning. That does not make much sense to me and really can turn out to be a real hassle. Credit cards are accepted. Overall I recommend this shop.
