Some history here. The church is next to the tourist office. The history of how the village got it's name is an interesting one.
Jerusalem near Ljutomer, according to tradition, was named after the Crusaders in the wine region who stayed here in the 13th century. They built the chapel on the hilltop in 1652. In the next 50 years, it was expanded, and a bell tower was also added, with a bell that was made in the 16th century. The Church of the Holy Mother of God, showing the early Baroque style features, was completed due to a series of expansions. It has got a painting of the Holy Mother of God in the main altar from 1652.
Beautiful tiny village and incredible interior to the small church. Iced coffee from the hotel so good. Views are amazing

Very nice spot for lunch or dinner in the area. The views from the restaurant are great and the service and food are very good as well. We came here for lunch after checking in and it was a good choice. Prices are reasonable and the food is typical Slovenian cuisine which is hearty and filling. Given that it’s a wine region, having a glass of wine or sparkling wine with lunch or dinner is a must. Very enjoyable experience and can definitely recommend..
Usually for me it’s very ‘hard’ to give to somebody 5 stars. This place is one of the exception. I highly recommend this place if you would like to enjoy the nature and food together.
This restaurant is absolutely wonderful! The views are breathtaking — it truly feels like paradise. The food is not only delicious but also beautifully presented. Service was excellent, and the staff were incredibly professional and kind. Highly recommended!
Not only will delicious food satisfy your hunger, beutiful views of Prlekija hills are also a feast for your eyes. Service is top notch, friendly and helpful. Even at full capacity the atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable. Highly recomend a visit.
Wonderful place in a middle of vineyards, heart of Štajerska region in Slovenia. Food is delicious, will recommend local food. View is fantastic, ambience is relaxing and comfortable, feel like at grandmas home)
Amazing restaurant in the middle of the jeruzalem wine region! It's beautifully located on top of a hill so the views are incredible, especially during sunset. The staff was very friendly and helped us a lot with picking the right dishes, as their menu is quite varied. The food was stellar, especially the potato gratin which was the best I ever had. If you are staying in this region this restaurant is an absolute must!
Taverna is a great restaurant high in the hills of the Jeruzalem wine region. They have exceptional staff, a beautiful outdoor terrace to watch the sunset, and great food. Incredible views. We ate dinner there all three nights and loved each experience. The grilled meat platter was delicious, awesome fries, and some of the best pizza you would find anywhere. The locally produced house red is a great affordable wine - a must try. We stayed nearby and had fun walking to and from dinner in this beautiful part of Slovenia. Special thanks to Aleś for the great service and friendship. Hope to return again!
The most homely you’ll feel at a restaurant! The tavern has delicious food and good house spirits. But the best part is their service!! Cheers to a splendid service! Dino and Morris were cheerful and ensured we had a lovely evening there. It truly makes the day when you’re approached by pleasant faces! Their attitude did it !! The atmosphere itself is cozy and cool. The location between vineyards is beautiful 🥰 if you’re visiting Jeruzalem, this place is a must, and if you’re just passing, make sure to detour and visit here!

This was our first stop in our day of wine tasting and it did not disappoint. We did a wine tasting of 3 wines with bread and cheese. We were served a good selection of wines and got to try a variety from the region. The guy was very informative and told us a lot of about the wine, where and how it’s produced, how long etc. definitely recommended and they also have a food truck for a proper meal if you want to have some lunch there.
Excellent location overlooking the vineyards of Puklavec Wines. Make sure you try 7 numbers, their premium line. Very affordable per glass prices, and good ratio price quality for bottle 👌
This was our first stop off whilst exploring the beautiful Jeruzalem wine region. Here we decided to do a little wine tasting. We chose to do the small tasting trying 3 of the wines. We were given a great overview of each of the wines and of course they all tasted amazing! Only costing €7 for the tasting we had to buy a few bottles of wine as well! Overall I definitely recommend a visit if you’re traveling through the region!
Really nice vineyard which specializes in sparkling wine. The service was friendly and the wines tasted great but I do have to say that this place is more commercial than many of the other vineyards, you can especially see this in the price, still worth a visit though!
We had a wonderful stop while driving around Jeruzalem vineyards. The place is nice and quiet with a view. We tasted some local white wines (1 € per glass). They got expressive bouquets - in particular the Šipon (Hungarian Furmint)- , a lot of freshness (30 C outside!) and a nice taste. Thanks to the host: he was very knowledgeable. Bonus a bunch of sweet and crunchy grape. Delicious!
I just love "Prlekija". Great landscape with hills, vineyards, beautiful and kind people, with great food. We had wine tasting with 1 sparkling wine and 5 different white wines. Also we got cheese and home bread.
We loved the experience we had at this winery. All the wines were lovely, but my favourite was the sparkling and as a finisher, the Muscat. Our host for tasting was Sandra, who was an absolute delight. She explained origions and history and each tasting was made special by the great anticipation.
Very good wines and good service. You can taste everything before buying.

Great wines, beautiful nature and very welcoming hosts. Shortly, place you shouldn't miss when visiting these parts. We will come back again for sure!
Wines: very good wines, different varieties, and sweetness levels - from completely dry to semi sweet and late harvest. A typical Teaminec, very pleasant Sauvignon & Rhein Riesling to more modern vine-types like Muscaris. Food: a tasteful plate of cold-cuts, meat, salami, cheese, tünka, horseradish, bread... Service: fast, polite, helpful, full of recommendations regarding wines. Furthermore, we were not announced, and the hosts were awaiting rather large group of guests. Nevertheless, they welcomed us and let us inside. Of course, we bought some bottles and took them home.
The wines were delicious but this place really lacked atmosphere. I'm sure that in high season it's way busier but even compared to the other vineyards in the area this place was soulless. When we arrived we first had to find the owner as the place looked deserted (it was officially open). Then she took us to a wine tasting room which was quite dark, felt like a closed restaurant. The wines on the other hand were some of the best in the valley, the contrast between the place and the wines was interesting to say the least
Had an amazing experience tasting wine at this beautiful vinyard. Great wines, amazing environment, great host. Absolutely would recommend anyone who is staying in the area going there! Thanks Gregor!
A perfect experience! A sweet family welcomed us and explained us about their wines. We got a wine tasting with 4 wines and some delicious cheese and bread. Very nice service with the possibility to sit privately and enjoy the view and the good wine. We visited the place on saturday around lunch time and were there pretty much alone. It sounded like it was busier in the evening. We bought some bottles of wine to take home, we are looking forward to enjoying them. (Remember cash) Thank you very much for a wonderful visit! - a Danish couple, without much knowledge of wine ;)
We were looked after with wine and grape juice for the kids even though it was officially closed. Best to call ahead in the off season.
We were there before season started and being warmly wealkomed by very kind lady ... the place is beautifully prepared... so much wood elements, clean and with taste and much thought. Weve just tried home made cake named gibanica (as we wre after full lunch) and was v tasty. So if you like to eat in peacefull place something fast, try theirs wines or eat something more then this may be place for you. The only downside is that if you dont know german, or slavik language imthen you would need translator pre prepared and or show what you would want. ;)
We received a very warm welcome from the host of this familys vineyard! The wine is also amazing. I highly recommend a visit.
