This zoo is excellent. We turned up late morning and left after 6 hours. It is worth waiting for the animal feeding from 15:00 onwards with excellent zookeeper explanations (although only in French), the animals seemed more alert at this time and after feeding. You can get really close to everything without intruding and all the animals have plenty of space it seems. Great value for money, well recommended.
Very beautiful and child friendly zoo, entrance price was affordable and the feeding time of the animals was very interesting and informative thanks to the staff explaining every animal and their habits
Great value for money , and you can go in and touch the goats and walk with the small monkeys take a picnic or use the onsite restaurant there is plenty of seats to stop and rest on or take your lunch .
A surprisingly good (and humane) zoo with a number of hands-on areas to interest both children and adults alike nestled in the Mervent Forest. We particularly enjoyed seeing the eagles, wolves, tiger, lemurs and sand cats doing their things. Feeding times for a variety of the carnivores are roughly every 15 minutes starting from 15:00 (on the day we visited) There is also a cafe and shop.
Lovely day out at Zoo. Good amenities. Nice play area at end of the trail.
A brilliant day out! Get close up to all sorts of animals. Includes a petting area too.
We loved visiting this zoo, it was so refreshing to see natural enclosures and staff that care so deeply for the animals. Theres plenty of parking, it's accessible and we thoroughly enjoyed the day. We stayed for 3 hours and could easily have stayed longer if we had eaten there. Staff are friendly, polite and helpful.
Lovely family zoo with chance to interact with some animals and see others close up!

Lots of different activities. The kids love it very much (2 and 5 years old). There are activities for all ages. We go very regularly.
Lovely time spent here, very quiet and relaxed, lovely setting, staff pleasant, great combination of rides/ attractions. Cafe needs better toilets and to sort of flies! And would have been nice to use the toboggan. Good value, plenty to do for all kids and adults!!
Pros: A fantastic facility for young families. There's loads of different activities for children of all ages with everything from a sand pit, to a bungee jump available to spend your day at the park. Ice cream was fairly priced (usual outdoor high street individual ice prices, rather than captive audience price) Cons: The only reasons for a mediocre review score is the facilities which appear dated, and in need of a good lick of paint and generally a bit better up-keep. The layout and info/directions around the site were also somewhat lacking with lots of "no public access" signs on various hoardings and gates around the site. Overall the staff were great and friendly (and spoke good English, which really helps those who can't speak French) the kids in our wider family group (including 10 kids ranging from 8 months to 13yrs) had a fantastic time and all want to return. The parents are exhausted and happy, so if it weren't for the facilities (which just need a bit of investment) it'd easily be 5* and a very highly recommended day out for families.
Lovely day out with the family, lots to do for all ages. Lots more to do than what meets the eye when you first arrive. Only reason for a 4 star rating instead of 5 is that the park itself needs a little bit of renovation and tlc. Some of the equipment could do with a paint and a service and the paths can be a bit rough. Overall though a lovely day.
Great fun parc with shade. Lot of manual game such as inflatable. We spend a great afternoon there. For sure we will come gain. It is perfect for the whole family.
Great time. Mainly for kids 5 to 12 I would say, but a good day out for the family. We've been twice this year and loved it both times.
Awesome old-fashioned park day out with a couple of modern treats for good measure. Kept a family group with kids from 1 to 16 entertained all day (and the old folks too!)
Brilliant place, so many attractions - admittedly more for 9 year old than suitable for 2 year old. Picnic or eat in. Wonderful location. Not expensive

Absolutely stunning views, we enjoyed the hour on the motorboats and it was so lovely, spotted some beautiful wildlife including some herons, three goats and many beautifully coloured dragon flies, it was so peaceful and tranquil, very friendly people working here, it has made a memory that will stay with me
Helpful staff. Reasonable prices. You have to book in advance for an electric boat, but can turn up for kayaks/canoes etc.
We rented one of the electric boats and got all the way to the dam and back in an hour. One day my two boys may stop talking about how they drove a real "speed boat".... They loved it and were better drivers than me. Gave me a chance to relax and take in the stunning lake views. The staff were great too
Brilliant, fuss free hire of a combination of water-transport options. We hired and electric boat (max 7 people but only 5 adults I think) and 5 individual kayaks for an hour. Kayaks were €10 for 1h and the boat was €36 for 1h. There were other options including a 2-3 person kayak and time periods from 30min to half-day / full-day rentals. In no time we were kitted out with life jackets, paddles and a waterproof barrel and a few simple instructions and off we went. There was a room to change out of your wet clothes and toilets and a vending machine for drinks. A few minutes walk is a bar/café /restaurant with plenty of choice.
Great for kayaking and paddle boarding. Water not for swimmers though.
Beautiful base with all sorts of activities to choose from
Lovely xiews and a relaxing time on the motor boat
Great place for walking, canoing, VTT, fishing etc.
