Really great family day out -some tips Buy tickets in advance Hot day we got fast pass tickets -about €16 euro each but we got to skip queues all day for over 16 rides - kids some 25 rides so well worth it Got a shaded area on hill with free deck chairs to chill Bring a picnic but leave in car and leave park ( 5 min walk ) to lovely shared picnic area Some slides are really fast so be prepared!! All in all we travelled by car from Villanova and lovely drive there Kids said it was best day ever !!
A good, fun family day out. The park is very picturesque as you drive up to it! If you arrive before opening time, you queue outside in your car. Once the barrier opens, it's a race as 5 lanes converge into one to drive the last couple of minutes to the car park! Parking is 5 euros which you pay for in the park. You are given a token which you use on the way out. At the entrance, we showed a member of staff our downloaded pre-paid tickets and were directed to one of two queues. Both queues, however, were trying to get through one gate. After getting nowhere for 10 minutes, the group behind us who also had pre-paid tockets went to the information office. They were allowed through immediately and gratefully waved us over to do the same!! There were 5 coaches full of school kids entering the park at the same time as us, so we made the decision to buy Fast Track passes at 14 euros each. Once in, we found a grassy area to put our towels. You cannot take picnics into the park, and there is a shaded picnic area. However, your bag is not searched, so if you wanted to take small snacks and water, I'm sure it would be ok! They say it is for health and safety, but you can buy food and drink right next to the pool area? The picnic area has lots of tables and chairs, is in the shade, and there is a kiosk selling ice cream and drinks. The park itself was clean and the rides were good fun. Some of them left you a bit sore as they seemed to have quite aggressive endings....resulting in you being thrown from your float or hitting various body parts off of the walls 😬 Our 7 year old children were able to go on all the attractions which was good. They went down the Black Hole together several times. On one occasion, as they came out of the slide, one child accidentally kicked the other in the face. He then slipped getting out of the pool, and fell quite hard onto the ground. The lifeguard rushed over to him to make sure he was ok. The lifeguards were very attentive and took notice of the kids as they left each ride. The park is very hilly, and it can be quite hard work carrying the floats to the top of each slide (admittedly, I am not very fit, however I would say I am of average ability!) The ground surface also gets very slippy so would definitely recommend shoes or sandals to wear. A lot of kids were coming down the slides with their sandals slipped over their forearms. I would also recommend the Fast Track passes. We did not have to queue to get our floats and were able to get to the front of the queue on half the slides, which was a real bonus. The amount of red fast track floats available shows that they definitely want you to buy the pass! Normally we wouldn't, but the park was very busy and it was very hot! There is a good variety of slides and attractions for young children which was great. The park was clean and there's space to lie on the grass and get some peace. It is a shame you have to walk to the picnic area but it's not a huge negative. Some of the rides were a bit sore so would recommend watching people get off them for a couple of minutes first before deciding to go on 😆 (I am a 47 year old with a bad back so form your own opinion obviously!!) We visited on 10th of July and it was very busy and noisy, however overall a good, fun family day out. As you leave the car park you pop your token in the barrier and away you go.
A great water park, well worth a visit. Okay, so let's talk about good stuff. Rides are fun, staff are helpful, place is clean and well maintained. It's a stunning location in the middle of the forest, just beautiful. Parking is easy and well managed. Now, on to the stuff that doesn't work so well... Yes, there are 2 different queues. Queues for the floats (get them at the bottom of the rides, from the people who just finished) and queues to enter the rides. It's a theme park, there are queues, that's life. It's hard to blame Aqualeon for this, they can't provide a queue free water park! If you hate queuing, buy the fast pass 🤷. We were there on a day that was about 50% max occupancy (I asked a staff member), and wait time was 10-20 mins for a float and 5-15 for a ride. In 6 hours, we rode 8 rides and spent an hour on the wave pool.. seems pretty good to me. The lost star is for the food. I get it, it's a captive market, people who didn't bring their own food will pay €17 for a not very good pizza or burger. It's expensive, and the food could be easily improved (it's not terrible, but not great but value level is low due to high cost). *However* They provide a really good picnic area with a free to use microwave, and I think that's really good 👍. This is a great water park, we'd visit again for sure. Thank you Aqualeon!
We have been there early in June. We must not wait longer than 5-10 minutes. The slides were great, it was a lot of fun! But the prices for really bad food was horrible! 6,90 Euro for fat soaked French Fries… seriously?!
The waterpark is situated in the forest, with a lot of trees which give shadow and a bit of coolness. Water is clear, all slides are working, food and drinks available and fresh. What could be done better: the locker bracelet should be with a chip. Then you can pay with chip around the park and at the end, when you go out- you pay the bill. (We had to keep phones and money what wals really uncomfortable). Other frustrating thing is ques. Long long ques for all slides, even two for each. One is for taking a tube and then other to take a ride. (It could be one que, could be more tubes to ride etc). Generally all was good, clean and fun. Eleminating these two issues you will become the best waterpark. Thank you.
Great waterpark, not too busy but quite slippy underfoot.
Not bad, not bad, just it was very fun but i hope they can close it at 9 a little later but it was very fun. A little bit dirty in the Wales pool but Else it was fine i reccomend it. 4 stars
I don't get why the reviews of this site are so bad. We went beginning of July it was nice and quiet no wait times for anything. People complaing went to a tourist attraction at peak times what did the expect. We had a great time.
