It is definitely worth visiting and a great experience for children and adults. Best time for visit are probably extremely hot days during summer such as July during peak hot times to increase the desert impression. It is even during colder times such as mid October very nice but to get the real feel an extreme hot day needs to be targeted. Anyhow it is worth visiting at any time of the year. A light 20 minute walk gives some basic insights about a completely different and unexpected surrounding. Combined with a visit of the desert Croatian Sahara and perhaps the desert museum it creates a very worthwile visit. The area offers numerous other nice attractions and a two days stay is required to catch them all.
Loved it! This natural phenomenon was the reason we came to Đurđevac and it did not disappoint. We loved the nature, loved the sand and the boards explaining all the flora and fauna were a great touch. At the "entrance", there's a picnic spot and lots of places to park. We came during the weekday, so we were alone and got to explore all alone.
Nice experience and you can learn few things if you take time and read all the signs. But the place looks a bit neglected.
Really beautiful place for a walk of around 20-30 Minutes. You can walk the sand with bare feet.
Nice part of former desert, beautiful nature but don't climb the lookout as its unsafe. That's the only remark on otherwise really well prepared walk with a lot of informative multilanguage panels every 10 meters.
This is the last remnant of once vast sands in Đurđevac region. The reserve is small, with educational panels
Desert sand 🏜 finest grains, best for walking barefoot.

Pleasantly surprised with the ongoing Marc Chagall exhibition. About 130 pieces from the 1960’s with the religion motifs. Exhibition that can be displayed at any gallery with very affordable entry fee (5.5 EUR).
Nice small caste with a lot history. You have restoran and museum here. Nothnig really special. Some parts of museum is interactive but everything just doesn't work very well.
My brother and I had a great day exploring The fortress and Museum Đurđevac.
Local small museum
(Translated by Google) A very nicely decorated and designed museum in the old town. The paintings of our naïves, as well as other well-known artists such as D. Babić, M. Berber and others, are on display. (Original) Jako lijepo uređen i osmišljen muzej u starom gradu. Izložena su slike naših naivaca, ali i drugih poznatih umjetnika kao D. Babić, M. Berbera i dr.
(Translated by Google) Beautiful ambience and historical story around the palace. There is also a souvenir shop inside the museum, and a restaurant on the ground floor. The display of the Henri de Toulouse Lautrec exhibition is fantastic, as is the interactive part of the permanent display that describes the Picoquiada and the traditions of Podravina. The museum is not big, but it is very concentrated and inspected. The rooms simply lead the visitors through the different setups. The legends under the artwork are clear, so viewing is simple and informative enough. (Original) Prekrasan ambijent i povijesna priča oko dvora.
(Translated by Google) A great exhibition. They try to bring big and popular artists. There was Picasso, Chagal had just finished, and Dali is coming. Although the displayed works are not the most important examples of the exhibition, they should definitely be seen. The restaurant in the castle that houses the museum is solid. The local food is nice. The service is very friendly and fast and the prices are OK. I definitely recommend that you come and visit that museum.
(Translated by Google) An excellent museum that tells a very interesting story in a modern way. Staff (female) very helpful and informative. I recommend it as a mandatory visit. You must see the art exhibition on the top floor, Generalić, Croata, Murtić... (Original) Odličan muzej koji priča vrlo zanimljivu priču na moderan način. Osoblje (djelatnica) vrlo uslužna i informativna. Preporučujem za obavezan posjet. Obavezno pogledati i izložbu umjetnina na gornjem katu, Generalić, Croata, Murtić…

Very beautiful and nice place with peaceful Camels ready for touching and huging. Extremely recommended for children and all those interested to visit animals such as donkeys, ponys, small goats, sheeps, lamas, ostriches and Camels. The space is small enough to easily oversee walks, plays and rest. It is a strong recommendation for visit and almost a guarantee for unforgetable moments spent close to animals. One of the top destinations in the area!
Ok place for kids. Not to much to see, just few animals. Tickets are bought in Caffè bar in Old town.
A very nice place, to see few camels and few other animals, good for children and relativ cheap.
Perfect weekend escape for family with kids
Very friendly staff and beautiful animals. The baby camel is very cute !
If you like camels, this is the place for you.
Nice for kids — there are camels, goats, ponies and horses, chickens and peacocks, llamas and more. Tickets are bought from the restaurant on the other side of the road (in the castle). You can ask and feed the animals, they like carrots :)
