Stayed 2 nights in this beautiful castle. An excellent place for smzll groupes of 8 people. The castle can be fully privatised.Modern design, beautiful views from the room windows overlooking the vineyard, and impeccable service. Plenty of activities around and delicious cuisine....and wine! A big thanks to Camille, who made our stay so pleasant!
Simone did a fabulous wine tour, pitched it at the right level. Great wine too. We will be back!
We were on an organised trip. The chateau were unorganised and not ready when we arrived. The wine tour was literally 10 minutes and we could not hear the guide she had no headset and there were approximately 50 people in our group. The wine tasting we were huddled around one table and 5 deep and had to push in to get our glass and the second tasting was poured into the same glass. No water available. I have been on several wine tastings and this one was totally unsatisfactory. Would not recommend.
Telephoned the Cht. three times over the course of three days and even drove there - no way to taste the wines. First encounter: „We don‘t have personnel today, come back tomorrow.“ Second encounter: „Normally yes, but we have a medical urgency today.“ Third encounter: „Sorry, tastings are only possible until 14:00.“ - Whereas the website says 18:00. Seriously? To make a long story short, this estate does not want to sell wine to walk-in customers. Avoid and go to CHTx who actually want to serve and sell you wine. Malescasse doesn‘t.
must be 30 years ago l discovered the chateau and were greeted by a lovely lady who invited us in to have a taste in the kitchen, on entering we heard an angry growl from the cellar......whereupon she went down and within 5 sec she came up with a big smile and continued the wine tasting. bought two cases ! lovely castle with lovely people. and ooh.....fantastic wine !
Had the best time at Chateau Malescasse. The staff was kind and knowledgeable. After a quick tour we made our own wine! And we finished with a nice tasting. Fantastic afternoon!
This place pretty much sucked, I visited and arrived shortly before a bunch of Japanese tourists, the winery appears to be owned by Japanese. I was welcomed and asked if I wanted to take the tour and do a tasting and I said yes, they were a few minutes into the tour when the group of Japanese tourists arrived, I was told to immediately leave as they only accept reservations now, then they ignored me and took the Japanese group on the tour, after a few minutes I was asked to leave the premises.
Revamped and modernised winery that offers wine tasting for free of you come outside the regular wine tasting tours, at least in January which of course is the off season. Modern and stylish interior and excellent wines!
