What a spectacular place! We stayed for just one night at this winery/hotel, but we wanted to stay for many days. We were very well received by Mariam, who took us to our rooms and showed us the two restaurant options, one with an open atmosphere and the other with an indoor one, both wonderful. We had lunch where the environment was open and the food was wonderful, as were the wines. Later we did the wine tasting and visited the wine production, Mariam was again our guide and it was wonderful. The weather was already warm enough for us to also enjoy the great pool, with a bar attached. The care taken with everything here is stunning, the gardens, the quality of the rooms, the food and the wines are perfect, all of this combined with great service! Congratulations, even though we are from so far away (Brazil), we will definitely be back someday.
A great hotel and winery. We had three days here relaxing next to the pool. It has a lovely chilled vibe. The only negative would be the food and dining experience. We felt the food wasn't as good as the traditional Georgian food that we had been having. The modern twists were unnecessary and the food should have tasted better. Also, the local cat was too familiar and kept jumping up on the table. I don't like animals in a restaurant personally. The breakfast was really good though and in a different building. We ate outside the hotel for the other means, but never the less, we had a really nice stay here and would recommend this place.
We stayed here for two nights and enjoyed our stay. We would definitely come again, however there are a few things that need to be improved, which I mention at the end. But first off, out tour and tasting done by Giorgi was absolutely amazing and we loved every second of it. Also, the food was amazing, we really don't understand the negative reviews regarding the food. It's pricier than options near by, but it is not expensive and well worth the money. As to what needs improving: 1) Breakfast. The products and what's on offer are nice and plenty. But the service leaves a lot to be desired. On the first morning, there weren't any glasses left and none brought out again, meaning we couldn't drink anything. The second morning there were no utensils to grab the various foods, which is a big no-no because it lead to people using their hands and cross contaminating the food (veggies with meat, for example). It's a shame because such a simple thing ruined the experience. 2) Service at the restaurant. On the first night staff was amazing and left nothing to be desired. On the second night, wait staff got our order wrong. This can happen, especially with a language barrier and is no big deal. What is not OK though is then arguing with me that I ordered what I got. I know what I ordered. I accepted the mistake because I'm not on holiday to argue, but this impacted the otherwise great dinner negatively. 3) No wine room service. In a winery I'd expect ordering wine to my room would be possible, but it wasn't. We wanted to enjoy a bottle on our balcony after dinner but couldn't, which was a slight disappointment. 4) The room was clean and modern, but could use a little more upkeep. It's not bad in any way, but there was a missing wall ornament, yet the nail was left in the wall. One light wasn't working, etc. Small details that don't matter too much but add up.
Such an amazing and authentic experience! The tour was led by a warm and knowledgeable wine master who shared fascinating insights in a detailed and engaging way. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. The wine tasting and cheese were absolutely wonderful, truly some of the best experiences I’ve had in Georgia so far. On top of that, the prices were very reasonable. If you love wine, I’d highly recommend!
We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful hotel, where the rooms were just as stunning. The culinary experience was a definite highlight; we enjoyed a cracking menu for both lunch and dinner, complemented by a nice breakfast that offered a great mix of buffet and made-to-order options. The wine tasting was a real pleasure, featuring a delightful selection of pre-selected local wines. This was perfectly paired with an incredibly interesting tour that delved into the rich history of winemaking in Georgia, with plenty of opportunities to ask questions. While we felt the tour was a tiny bit rushed, leaving us wishing for more detail, the silver lining was it meant we got to the wine tasting quicker! Overall, a truly memorable and highly recommended experience.
Amazing authentic personal and winery owners. Highly recommend for all tourists to attend. Wine is to die for. They also offer bread and breakfast in the heart of a small winery
This was an unforgettable wine tasting and if you only go to one winery in the area, this should be it. The winemaker personally showed us around the property, including the wine making area, and then led our six-wine tasting. He chose different styles and grapes for us and then tasted with us, chatting about each wine, which felt very special. In addition to the fantastic wine, the winemaker was incredibly kind and knowledgable - clearly distinguished in the field. We were grateful to have his expertise and warm conversation. He wouldn’t take a tip and instead insisted we come back to visit again.
It was a wonderful experience. Very calm. The people were wonderful. The property manager Mariam was extremely sweet, prompt and accommodating. The wine tour was amazing and such delicious wine. Georgie was so friendly, funny and knowledgeable. Overall a must have experience if you are looking for some unwinding paired with delicious food + wine!
