We were in the cave today on a four hour tour with the fabulous guide Victor. Very impressive! The sculptures are very beautiful. We also looked at an underground lake. Our guide Victor was very friendly, explained a lot of interesting things to us and made us feel very safe. The cave is gigantic! The world's largest gypsum cave.
You have to book the tour in advance and the lady that runs the tour company is very unpleasant. Sadly she does not speak English and didn't want to use Google translate. There is a massive door at the entrance to the cave but no number to contact anyone with. I talked with the lady who runs the hostel just as you enter town. I was really excited to see this cave but not 600 Ukrainian excited. If the lady would have been more pleasant I might have actually paid to the the cave with here. Very let down. This is my fist bad experience in 2 months of traveling Ukraine 🇺🇦😭💕
(Translated by Google) It's just something incredible! It fascinates with its unique beauty and even adds a bit of extreme. The long route "museum + lake" requires endurance (tested on my own experience, I'm 56). It will be more difficult for tall people. Be sure to take a helmet, boots and overalls - especially a helmet! It's difficult without it, because most of the way you walk in a half-crouch and often touch the ledges with your head. These are not the "glossy" caves of Mallorca with lighting, but a real wild system with labyrinths and passages (there are over 260 km of them here!). The route is tourist, you will have to crawl quite a bit. It is very important to listen to the advice of the speleologist guide - then all obstacles are easier to overcome. The clay sculptures left a special impression - they are made with high quality and add positive emotions. I will have some of the brightest memories from this place. I will definitely come again!
(Translated by Google) Very cool, interesting. We went with a 6 year old child, we reached the lake and survived everything back, it was interesting. The feeling of entering another dimension.
