Ragupathi raju and Raghava raju of vijayanagar dynasty local kings of Ongole built this temple . Nice and very peaceful temple and this is very very oldest temple .It really a hindu mythological temple . This temple had a long history to built in the hill which are chennakesava swampy temple and lord shiva venkateshvara swampy temple .means lord shiva and lord vishnu temple are located side by side , its very peacefull in this temple and it is so high more than 100feet temple located in ongole . These temples are so famous in ongole and on festivals occasions classical dance performance are done in temple and it is mythological temple very peaceful place for an early morning or in the evening visit . very beautiful temple visit the temple again and again marvellous architecture found in the temple .
One of the most Ancient temple present in the Prakasam district of Andhra Pradesh. During the end of the 16th century, Rama Bhadhra Raju and Raghupathy Raju, the feudatory kings for Vijayanagara Kingdom were ruling from Ongole. These Kings were ardent devotees of Lord Venkateshwara. Hence they installed an idol of the lord in their fort itself and named the lord as Chennakesava Swamy. They also performed regular poojas and rituals to the lord. Huge number of villagers assembles at the Chennakesava swamy temple to witness the rituals, ceremonies conducted by the Kings. Since it is a small shrine, most of the villagers do take the dharshan of the lord from outside the fort during the ceremonies or the festival celebrations. Since they have enmity with the Kings of Venkatagiri, it becomes troublesome for the Army Minister Raghunayaka in providing required security around the fort, due to the huge crowd assemble there during the festivals.
Visiting this temple brings you very positive vibes and peace. Powerful and your wishes will be filled with success.
This Beautiful Temple Dedicated To Lord Venkateshwara Is The Most Ancient Temple In The Prakasam District Of Andra..
Oldest temple in ongole. 🛕Govinda 🙏
Peaceful place but the only conc is parking facility is not available as you have to keep your vehicle on the main road which results in many scratches.
Epitome of Ongole but need more proper maintenance from visitors why because those are the persons who are making temple surroundings filthy . Kind request to my ongole citizens please never use plastic covers inside or premises of temples and keep clean if you perform pujas inside or outside the temple . Don’t throw flowers and holy things around the temples.
Visited temple , this very ancient and famous temple of lord Shiva and lord Vishnu situated in Ongole near Court and very near to Bus stand of Ongole. After entering the premises of temple i feel very peace and bliss. Thanks to God by the blessing of them I got opportunity to get Darshan and to pray to all God and Godess.

I actually found this place by accident. so I went for a walk. Soon I saw signs indicating a beach and decided to check it out. When I got there, the beach was pretty much empty. It was wide, long, and very clean. The sand is warm and there was no pollution of any kind. I had no luck finding shells or much sea life, but that did not diminish its beauty. After a couple of hours that seems like eternity (in a good way!)
The beach is a stunning stretch of golden sand, lined with swaying palm trees and crystal-clear turquoise waters. The gentle waves make it perfect for swimming, while the soft sand is ideal for sunbathing or building sandcastles. The water is warm and inviting, with excellent visibility for snorkeling among colorful fish and coral.
Non touristy serene beach Alongside a fishing community village. Good place to just enjoy the ocean. Limited food options and other facilities. Apart from the central area the coastline is clean and very less crowded at least on weekdays
If you are planning to visit this beach don’t come here nothing is here only died fish and dogs very smelly.

In summary, Kothapatnam Beach is a serene and peaceful destination in Andhra Pradesh, perfect for a quiet retreat, relaxation, or a day of family outings.
The community of fishermen is situated right next to the seashore. Although it is a beach, it doesn't have the same atmosphere as well-known beaches. There aren't many places to eat in this area; the lone restaurant is a resort that serves full meals, and there are a few little stores that sell snacks. Excellent place to see sunrises or sunsets—not too crowded to allow for maximum enjoyment. tranquil location to enjoy the tides on the ocean:) You may also observe salt farming on route to the beach. I saw trash all over the seashore, thus it needs upkeep and individuals need to take responsibility to dispose of their waste exclusively in the designated containers.
Kothapatnam Beach greets with a long, sandy shoreline and the steady rhythm of waves rolling in from the Bay of Bengal. The beach feels open and quiet, with plenty of space for peaceful walks along the water. Fishing boats resting on the sand add a glimpse of local life, while the sea breeze brings a refreshing calm. The atmosphere is simple and uncluttered, making it a perfect spot for relaxation. As evening sets in, the horizon glows in soft colors, and the ocean takes on a serene, almost endless beauty.

It’s a good place to visit and enjoy the beauty surrounded with greenery and small park to have fun for children’s. Lord Venkateswara Temple is very famous.
We have visited this dam and the place is very good for the tourists. There is no entry fee and the environment is very clean and friendly. There are no much shops to purchase food items but there is one ice cream shop at the dam entry. Basically it is a bridge with around 10 to 15 dam gates and the water will be running down the bridge which will be very good to have a beautiful and amazing and awesome scenario to take pictures are to capture. There are two parks at the location which are not very well maintained but during evenings we can go there and spend time. We have visited this location afternoon at 3 PM but there are no much visitors I have observed. Overall it is a one time place where we can go with family or friends to have a snap and enjoy. I have shared all the images where I have taken at the time of my visit. I hope this review would be helpful for the people who want to search for the beautiful place at this location, I really suggest this place for you.
