We really loved our visit to Vellino! The views were beautiful, the people were very welcoming and friendly, and the wine was excellent. Beka explained how the wine is made and introduced each of the wines we tasted. It was a great experience we’ll never forget. We highly recommend visiting Vellino. It’s only about an hour from Tbilisi. We booked the visit directly with Vellino and simply hired a driver to take us.
What a great experience! The owner The owner of the vineyard is a true lover of his work — he guided us through the tour with passion and kindness. The farmhouse is wonderful, as is his family. The wine was exceptional and the dinner excellent! It was a fantastic experience, and we discovered that wine was invented 8,000 years ago by the Georgians. A beautiful experience, highly recommended for everyone — including children!
A wonderful experience! Beka welcomed us and guided us through the wines and homemade cha cha. The cellar is beautiful, the tasting was paired with local cheese, bread, and raisins, and everything was delicious. Stunning views, fair prices, and an authentic Georgian wine experience. Highly recommended!
One of the best winemakers not only in this region but in all of Georgia. A warm and authentic atmosphere. A kind host. The best wine. An exquisite dinner. Organic wines that are out of this world. One of my favorite places in Kakheti.
We spent half a day to visit and back to tablisi. MrBeka was Nice explained the whole process of wine making. Overall amazing experience 👍
Absolutely great place to try wine and cha cha! Peka and Mary are so kind and willing to adapt to our schedules. We tried 4 wines and cha cha - all delicious! They also served cheese, bread and fruit. Tiny ones also have ample space to play in case they cannot sit for the duration. We didn’t do the tour of the grounds but the views are stunning. Their cellar is beautiful and they explain the process of how their wines are made and bottled. We bought a couple bottles of Cha cha before leaving and the prices are reasonable! You can do wine tasting in rain or shine or snow cause they have ample seating indoors and out.
Superb experience. Georgian winary developed by Beka, who owns this place. Quality of the wines and the hospitality of Beka were top classs.
Very friendly family owned estate.with friendly explanation and tastings. Interesting wines, different from old and new world. Highly recommended
