We had a lovely horse riding experience at Ranch Mrcina! My husband and I are total beginners. This was actually my first time ever on a horse, so I was quite nervous at the beginning. Our guide, Inaja, was incredibly patient, calm, and encouraging. Even though it was her first time leading a tour, she made us feel completely at ease. We took the two-hour ride, and the trail was absolutely stunning—surrounded by mountains, forest, and peaceful nature. By the end, I felt so much more confident and really enjoyed the experience. The horses were well cared for and calm, perfect for beginners. The ride cost €64 per person for two hours, which seemed a bit high at first, but it was absolutely worth it for such a unique and memorable experience. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!
We had the best experience ever with Ranc Mrcina while visiting Slovenia. My son and I did the 3hr ride, it was amazing. We booked ahead which was very easy and accommodating. Once we arrived we were greeted by the owner and his daughter. They shared some stories with us about farm life. The daughter took us on a wonderful journey through the mountains and along the river. What an incredible day we had. She took many pictures and shared them with us. My son fell in love with there dog as well. Plenty of parking as well. We will definitely return to Ranc Mrcina. Thank you for a wonderful day.
We had a great experience here with a Monday 2 hours riding. Despite the fact that we booked the ride on the horse "rest" day and directly in the day, the owner has found a solution for us. Trip to Bohjia lake was nice and smooth.
We had a great 3 hour ride at Ranc Mrcina today! The horses were in good condition, friendly and well behaved. We did some nice gallops and the guide took her time to take pictures of us by the lake! She was very friendly and told us about the environment.
We had the Stara Fuzina trail for 1 hour. The road was amazing, the horses were very relaxed and well trained, the instructor was very nice, professional and made sure everything was as comfortable as possible for us. I recommend it to everyone who likes animals and great view, especially for begginers.
Had a spectacular 2 hours ride up and around a large hill (#3 - ask for the menu of rides if you can't see online). Staff was wonderful and made you feel very welcome, and were especially attentive with my 7 and 10 year-old kids. There were 2 guides for the 4 of us. At the end, they have a small little coffee shop.
If we could give 10 stars, we would. We had the best girls trip we could ever ask for!!! Our guide Maja was perfect company at every step of the ride and each of us got a horse that was an excellent match for us! We booked a four-hour ride around the lake and saw some outstanding scenery, the nature was absolutely breathtaking! As experienced riders we got to do a lot of fun trotting and galloping through this magical wonderland. We even stopped for icecream on our break. We will be 100% back to try out many other routes, thank you from the bottoms of our hearts - Ema, Anea & Stella!
A lovely family run business with great horses for both beginners and experienced riders! Definitely worth a visit, the views on the trek are phenomenal. Highly recommend :)
