Small museum set in a farm worth a visit very friendly staff and well priced.
Small museum about poppets, but actually made in very good detail years ago. It about a hundred small puppets. You can visit on a rainy day because it is all inside. Parking almost in front of the building. You can combine with the mushrooms museum which is nearby. You can walk in between (10mins) or drive of course.
It's scarry nightmare fuel! But pretty cool!

(Translated by Google) Immersed in the Austrian mountains, on state road 98 which descends from Radenthein towards Villach, there is this particular doll museum which describes the peasant life of the past. Elli Riehl was born in Villach on 19 December 1902. Since she was a child she has deeply loved nature. At 28 she began to dedicate herself to working with dolls, finding herself in a difficult economic situation. With the early death of her husband she decides to leave Villach and move to the mountains with a farmer friend. Here he met Dr. Kraus and in 1950 they went to live in Winklern with the Thomas Berger family, spending the following 27 years together until their partner's death. He then decided to open an exhibition of his artefacts and continued to create dolls with needle and thread until his death (8/9/1977). Today there are 650 of his most beautiful dolls in the museum. There is a large parking area outside the village of houses where the museum is located and is accessible to strollers and wheelchairs. ❗NOTE: in June 2023 the museum was temporarily closed for health reasons of the lady who manages it. I recommend calling before going there for the visit.
