It's a cool place to pick up some swag from monarch ski resort without going up in the hill. Salida is a super fun town, so go grab a coffee from down the street and take a walk. This store closes a few weeks after the ski resort opens so get in while you can. Staff was friendly and courteous.
Quick and easy interaction to purchase Monarch season tickets.
Friendly staff, able to obtained our Monarch pass with ease.
Got my ticket for the next day staff was very helpful
Person opened 15 minutes late, rest okay
I was very well attended in this place.

Great park with a trail along the water. Great place for kids AND adults to play in the water. A water feature of the park includes a rapid big enough to surf in! The rapid also gets used by rafters coming down the river. Next to the riverside, the park hosts a concert series in the summer along with other events like an art show. This is the place to hang out in Salida on a summer afternoon! Great grassy areas for a picnic or rest from walking around town or biking on the Arkansas Hill Trails system.
Very Crowded but it's Flag Day in June. The river is wonderful. A dogs dream day visiting here. Lots of nice spots for the dog to dip in. River rafting ad all kinds of water activities going on. Its a beautiful spot in a beautiful town. No dogs allowed inside the music, street fair or i would go 5 stars.
Salida is a step into the past. It's quaint and quirky. Has lots of restaurants and great outdoor activities. The scenery is incredible as well.
Our favorite spot to people watch and cold plunge. Water is about 50-60 degrees in the summer 🏝️. Surfing, tubing, floating, rafting, all sorts.
Right alongside the Arkansas river, as well as vibrant businesses downtown. Huge shade trees, big open grass field to play or lounge in; small, good looking amphitheater; places to sit along the river, both at the waters edge, and up higher to give a good vantage. Fun watching the surfers and dogs retrieving. Made me want to move to Salida.
Nice city park in Salida. Lots of walking paths, a Bandstand, nice walk along the river. A man-made surfing feature in the river. Places to sit and watch the rafters in the river, also. Many shade trees, well kept grounds.
A very nice area in the heart of Salida. Plenty of open space with a variety of options from a wave park to just enjoying a book.
Watching the rafters, kayakers, and surfers is such an entertaining way to spend some time in the beautiful Salida Riverside Park. Huge trees. Huge rocks. The Arkansas River. Do it.

Super cool experience! Kids and grownups loved the Tram ride to the top and the views are outrageous. Lots of wind and cool temps, wear layers! We at that food truck, burgers and brisket sandwiches were both really good. Fries are seasoned perfectly.
Really awesome visitor center that is like a mini store with a cafe. Good food and ice cream, filtered chilled water, clean bathrooms. Customer service was also great. Luke at the cafe was super cool and gave ice cream samples and let me charge my battery on the wall outlet. Gondola looked fun too but didn’t get a chance to ride. Next time.
There is nothing like that feeling of being on top of the world 🌎. Or where East meets West on the Continental Divide. Beautiful drive up and down. Never 🎿 ski it, but I can see clearly why everyone would.
Stopped for a picture and went inside and very glad we did. Clean bathrooms a great coffee shop where we grabbed coffee and a burrito plus a couple souvenirs.
The drive up was definitely better than the top. Great little place to stop off to get some souvenirs and a great little cade.
Visited on 9.24.2025. My sincerest appreciation to the man that recommended Sweeties Sandwich Shop in Salida for lunch.
Just happened to see it as were driving through and decided to stop and enjoy the tram ride. $12 per adult and free bag of popcorn each from the gift shop. Beautiful views but colder up top so bring a sweater!
The view from the parking lot is incredible. I really liked it when the family still owned this store. It's been renovated, and it's beautiful, but I like all the trinkets, etc, the prior owners had. My family loved stopping there.

The front desk worker was super helpful! We arrived at our hot springs reservation late and she added even more time for us! She also let us have a free locker. This was AN AMAZING experience after doing the Four Pass Loop in the Maroon Bells wilderness. Happy to go back!
Hot, spring-fed pools, with a cooler (81F) lap pool, and warmer (101F) activity pool. The warm side has 2 levels : one very shallow for children and one 4-ft for adults. Friendly staff.
The private pool had a very strong chemicals smell.gave me a headache. I'm glad it's clean but it was so strong, I had to fill t h e pool empty it just to rid chemicals. The entire room was soaking wet. I could not sit or lay on the bench. The staff seemed lazy. Other rooms were dry and open but I had to use the used one. Afterwards in the locker room, there were a large group of moms with 3 to 5 kids each screaming and crying babies it was horrid. I had no where to dry off. I could also hear screaming and loud music from the pool in my private bath the whole time. Not worth the cost or smell.
I reserved a private pool due to some lower back pain and not wanting to listen to children screaming in large pool. Spent about 40 min in pool and found 3 pubic hairs floating. I knew they weren’t mine as I am fully waxed. Left my time early and let front desk know. No offer of a refund just a face made of disgust stating they will let the girls know. Clearly states sanitized after each use. This should include brushing down walls/stairs. I also don’t feel like I normally do after a hot springs, and I didn’t smell the normal smell of a hot spring to know if the minerals and nutrients were truly there. Won’t be back.
My family & I visited here while visiting family in Buena Vista. The kids enjoyed the bigger (cooler) pool, while I stayed in the 3-4' depth (hotter) pool. I am on oxygen and had no problems using my oxygen with a 7 ft hose. I did use a 'can' rather than my portable as it is ok to get the can wet. This is the first time I have been able to go into a pool since being put on oxygen 4 years ago. I enjoyed the soak/swim and was able to do some water exercises which really helped my arthritis. I would recommend for those who want the benefits of the hot springs without crowds.
I'd recommend the aquatic center for a shower and cleaning up if you are camping at a site with no water. I do not recommend the pool. After showering and taking a swim I air-dried our towels and swimsuits at the campsite. Our laundry had an over powering smell of urine when we unpacked at our next stop. We had to go to a laundry mat and wash our clothes it was so bad.
I've been to swimming pools all over the country in nearly every state, and was a lifeguard for over 7 years, and my experience at this pool has unfortunately been a let down. The facility itself is nice, but the locker rooms could use more frequent clean up. After 1pm at the top of every hour there is a mandatory safety break where everyone including lap swimmers have to get out of the pool to sit and wait. The rationale I have gotten for this is that kids poop in the pool less with the more frequent breaks which I understand. The intention for the breaks is good, but unfortunately the wrong population (lap swimmers) is essentially punished as a side effect. Life is busy for us all and I think I can speak for fellow lap swimmers when I say that we would really appreciate if the safety breaks are discontinued for lap swimmers so that we can finish our workouts without interruption. Additionally, at the top of every hour during the summer months, the locker room becomes very overcrowded with kids screaming and running and wasting water in the shower to stay warm for the 10min they aren't allowed in the pool. I'm sure the management is trying their best to come up with a solution (and the lifeguards have occasionally tried to bend the rules when possible to accommodate lap swimmers), but I'm sad to say that it has been frustrating to swim at this pool this summer due to the misguided policies.
Big pool, Includes: Hot pool (Abt. hot tub temp), Cold pool, Rock wall, Diving board, Slide (very fun), 2 Lap lanes, Beach balls/Floaties (You can bring your own) Showers (Free with entry), Ice cream, Friendly staff, Funny open sign, Pleasing building design, Water depth ranging from <1 inch to very deep. Facility is clean (Slight white residue in some places because of hot spring minerals)

Vino Salida Wine Cellars is a fantastic spot with really tasty wines and food. We stayed here overnight through Harvest Host (boondocking website) and thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Steve was incredibly kind and the hospitality was unmatched in our Harvesy Host adventures, and the parking/boondocking felt comfortable and safe. Tasted our way through the Winemaker’s Cellar Collection tasting flight and loved all four of the reds served. Also ordered the classic bruschetta and man did that hit the spot! You can’t beat the views here either. If you prefer, the indoor seating and atmosphere is cute and cozy as well. You’re only a few miles from Salida which has become one of our favorite small towns to visit, out of any state we’ve been to. Ended up spending an extra day here to explore! Don’t miss this awesome winery on your travels!
My husband and I enjoyed the wine flights and took a bottle of our favorite home with us! Everyone was friendly, and the service was great. We picked up on a hint of odd passive aggression from the woman who greeted us, but maybe she was having a rough day. Bob and Deb were performing and their music was fantastic. I hope to see them play again. A nice stop to include in your Salida trip.
Has a great time! Steve was terrific and we really enjoyed sampling the wine and food!
It's definitely a must go place. The host is just fantastic and can answer any questions about their wines. The classic and the pastrami bruschettas were excellent, especially paired with the sweet riesling. I did like the mead wine as well. Definitely, everyone should try this place for sure.
This is a great little winery in the heart of the mountains. We pulled in as a Harvest Host stay. It had just begun to snow and Steve turned on the fireplace and got us started on a flight of wine. Nice and cozy. We met another couple and shared wine and appetizers then settled in for the evening. It snowed over 12" overnight--on May 9!
What a sweet tasting room between Rocky Mountain and Great Sand Dunes National Parks. There were several different tasting flights to choose from so there's something for everyone. The wine cellars were close to a grocery store, several restaurants and cafes if you want a bigger meal. We cozied up on the patio at the winery to enjoy live music, drinks and star gazing before calling it an evening.
We were Harvest Host guests for our second time at Vino Salida Wine Cellars. After being warmly greeted and given perfect directions on where to park our RV, we sat at the bar and enjoyed a glass of Vino Rosso di Salida. My husband noticed a picture on the wall that looked very familiar to us. Brad, the friendly bartender, confirmed that the photo was of a vineyard in Palisade, CO. In fact, Vino Salida Wine Cellars sources grapes from Palisade. No wonder their wine is so delicious. Although we were their first customers that afternoon, before we finished our wine, the room was hopping with happy hour folks. Of course, we purchased wine to take back to our RV. Thanks so much for being a fabulous Harvest Host. We will be back.
Traveling In Colorado and Vino Salida is a Harvest Host site for RVs. Turns out it is their St.Patricks Day Party Night. Corn Beef and Cabbage with all the fixings..... Jamie, Jess, and Steve were the BEST!!!! Stop in on your way through Poncha Springs!!

What a great place. Great "bugart". Owners have great imagination. Place to visit while in Salida area. Make sure you speak with the owner (experience on its own 😊)
So creative!! So incredible! Really love the artwork and the artist is really friendly!
A great reminder of childhood, and current inner child. Fantastic imagination here!
We love these little gremlin gargoyle monsters, we started hiding them around our house to see who notices
This place is great. My kids and I love it.

What a cool vibe! Loved hanging out at the bar! Gingi and Amanda were the best! The gin is fantastic and we are traveling home with some! 😊
A delightful place! Hang out, enjoy the cool vibes, listen to music and drink a fabulous, unique, fresh cocktail (fresh squeezed juice) and have conversation with your friends.l or people at the bar. Nice people behind the bar, too. Buy a bottle to take home!
This place fits the vibe of the town of Salida just perfectly. Their spirits incorporate cherry-smoked barley, adding an interesting smokiness, depending on the particular liquor. They make interesting cocktails. The bar is a friendly, chill place. A perfect spot for conversation with friends.
Continues to serve the best cocktails in Salida. The bartenders like a challenge. Share thoughts on flavors and they’ll navigate the menu for you. They do both the traditional and the unconventional well. Piña Colada on a hot summer day made with gin? It’s delicious. Takeaway bottles are strong value and easily the best in the area. Treeline gin and tenderfoot whiskey are staples. The aged whiskeys and any rye should be grabbed whenever available as qualities can be limited. Once in a while, discounts are available on cases, but they don't advertise it.
I had a great experience at Wood's High Mountain Distillery. The Old Fashion the bartender made was spot on. The cozy atmosphere with a great mixed drink made for a memorable experience.
Where do I even start with Wood’s? This very well might be the best cocktail bar in the United States. This is not an exaggeration, yes, Ive been to death and co, yes I’ve drank in DC, Manhattan, Boston, New Orleans, etc. I have a fairly refined palette and the liquor that the distiller distills is fantastic. The cocktails that the wonderful women made us in the front of house were out of this world. The pairings of sweet and savory, smoky and rich, and herbaceous and floral are incomprehensible until you experience them. Please do your taste buds a favor and embark upon the sensational flavor pilgrimage that is Wood’s Distillery. This is Colorado and Salida at their finest.
I highly recommend the Tommy Caldwell. Extremely smooth with zero kickback on the end. My wife had the Jackson Pollock. Don’t let the vinegarette drizzle intimidate you. It goes amazing with this light and summer drink. Madison assisted us and she was top notch.
If you like on-site distilling, artistic and classic menus, and entertaining staff, this is the place to go. Hungry? Read my review of Benson’s that’s next door. Good eats and walk one door down for hoots, hollers, and some super tasty beverages. Live music the night I was there with a 20s twist. Try the smoky old fashioned (In the Woods) and the Salida Banana Belt, yum!

I am not sure how to review a fish hatchery. They provided us with free food and we were able to feed the fish. I think this will be a fun activity for some people but it not a broad tourist destination. It is a working fish hatchery that they just happen to allow the public access to. Overall we enjoyed our visit.
Parked in indicated lot, weren't sure about vehicle disinfection, but realized was for commercial users. Walked down to ponds, was met but nice fellow who asked if we'd like to feed the fish. At the time, mostly rainbows from fingerling to 10-12". Also had native cutthroat in one tank. Watched film. Would be nice to bring kids as long as supervised to not touch water or fish. Personnel were very helpful and knowledgeable.
Was awesome! Even with all the restrictions, we got to watch a video on how the fish go from egg to lakes and creeks. Then they let us feed the fish! Was a blast!
My grand children love feeding the fish, we go every time they come out to visit from out of state and i take grand kids on Tuesday and Thursday to feed fish . They love it and good exercise
Went out of their way to give us fish food. Super fun feeding the fish.
This location is actually on CR-154 (south side of Arkansas River), not the CR-150 location shown on the map (I submitted a correction, so it might be corrected after I've submitted this review). Make sure to arrive at least 20 minutes before closing - the staff are strict on leaving as soon as they close, and you'd want some time to watch the movie and get a large bucket of fish food from inside. If you arrive after the office is closed there is a machine with food for 25 cents, so bring quarters. You get much more food if the office is open with a large coffee container. There is no shade by the fish ponds. Estimate about 15 minutes of learning and 10 minutes of feeding, depending how interested you are in watching fish eat, for about a 30 minute visit. The parking lot requires a walk down steps to the office. If you have a wheelchair, you could likely roll it around and down the staff entrance road.
Fun place to go to. Have staff (at least in summer, I don't know about winter) to give you information about the facility and a coffee can of fish food to feed the thousands of fish. Definitely had some interesting facts about Colorado's fish populations.
We like to stop at random fish hatcheries we see on our adventures. This one shows you a video that was interesting and informative and I actually learned a few things I didn't know before watching. Then they give you a bucket of food to feed the fish which is my favorite part.

If you are just coming here for the beer, you are missing out. Don’t get me wrong, the beer is good, but the food is better. We had the ridiculous-ness burger, and the kimchi cucumbers, both of which were excellent and full of flavor. Probably the best burger I’ve ever had. Highly recommend.
Stopped here while we were in town and it’s one you can’t miss! The ridiculousness burger is actually ridiculous. It has no business being as good as it is! The Italian grinder sandwich is also de-lish. Beer? Fantastic. Service? Awesome. Ya just gotta go!
I tried two different beers and they were both really good, the Hazy IPA and the amber. Not a bad view either! I had the pastrami Reuben and Thai cucumber salad for food. Reuben wasn’t my “best ever” but was definitely good. Keep in mind I’m old, so “best ever” is not an award I give out easily haha! Drop in sometime, you won’t regret it!
the best pastrami sandwich I’ve ever had, a standout cucumber salad as a side, with really good IPA (x-ray) and cider.. the guy at the bar patiently helped me get to my choices. so good overall!
Great find on our travels! Location is dog friendly! German beer was good, green chili beer is a must can really taste the hatch green chilis. Pastrami sandwich 10/10 and cucumber salad 10/10.
Soulcraft has a great selection of craft beers and a surprisingly high-quality food menu. The business uses no deep-fat frying and sources many items locally (including incredible breads). Favorite dishes include the Garlic-Tomato Oil & Burrata sharing plate, the Mediterranean Mezza, and the Korean Burger.
Beer selection and quality are great, had the Mexican Lager and Dark German. Food is shockingly incredible here! We had the Pastrami in rye with potato salad and Rediculousness Burger with homemade chips. YUM gourmet quality, ate every bite!
Food truck's food is amazing. Pastrami was delicious. Had a smash burger that was out of this world. Great selection of brews. Live music. Dog friendly patio.

We have a Colorado vacation home not far from Salida, and have shopped routinely in the area for years now. I'd only bought a few small items from Mark, and when our 20th anniversary came up, I was convinced I wanted to buy my bride fine China. I grappled with this for weeks as I couldn't find the set I liked. It donned on me, that I could bend the idea of dishware around us rather than a social convention. I stopped through and commissioned Mark to make us a very personal set up plates, bowls, and goblets - a small set of 4. I wanted something pretty and colorful, but I wanted it rugged enough for daily use. We have no small number of "pretties" we never use and I wanted Mark's work to withstand heavy use. Suffice it to say, he met my deadline, shipped it direct to our Iowa home, and my wife and children love them. I do to. They absolutely exceeded my expectations. I was comfortable with the price point. The set can be used in the oven, microwave, and dishwasher, with some limitations of course, and they have elevated our meals. Whether you're looking for decorations or items for daily use, you're wise to seriously consider Mark at the Maverick Potter. I'm glad I did.
Beyond the store items for purchase which are always changing in style keeping things fresh - they have a great paint your own clay studio in the back (not sure why its not more advertised!). They supply various types of completed pottery - really fun for kids - and they fire and will mail pieces back to you. We've done this many times now and my daughter loves it!!
The Maverick Potter is amazing for so many reasons. It's both a gallery and an interactive studio. You can buy items or just enjoy viewing local artists' work (including that of one of the owners). In addition to pottery, I've noticed beautiful clocks, funny creatures, and stained glass on display/for purchase. My favorite part, though, is the studio. The owner will throw/bake beautiful items in advance and you get the privilege of picking and painting an item (or two) for yourself. The owners are very interactive with the community, including the kids. It's a great place to get together with adults for a wine and paint session, or to book a birthday party for kids. And, if you haven't concluded already, I think the staff there are wonderful.
Loved the store and often buy things there. Love your apprentice Baileys designs with dragons. One note of improvement: I would perhaps get a bigger tank for the gold fish. As a saltwater reef keeper and planted freshwater aquarist, I can say it’s a bit small. But, at a minimum I would just make sure the aquarium is fully filled. It was at half capacity when I was there which usually indicates lack of water changes. For the customers sake, I would definitely clean the glass of algae. While actually somewhat beneficial to the fish, it takes away from the pottery when the tank glass has a lot of algae by being an eye sore. I would suggest you try a box blade for cleaning. I use them and it’s incredible how efficient they are. Just careful around the fish and the silicone seals if you use one. In short, love the store but when I was there this time my instincts for tank maintenance made me want to ask the clerk if she minded if I did a water change and cleaned it up. Also the frog tank could use a bit of improvement too but, I am no expert at frogs.
This is a delightful pottery place in downtown Salida, Colorado. They have pottery products consignment style. The shop was manned by a very pleasant person Classes are offered for those wanting to learn. I am told the teacher is very thorough and wants you to learn the entire process.
Very reasonable prices for beautiful pieces of all types. We took classes from the owner, which were also very reasonably priced, and learned so much while having a great time. Go in and check out all kinds of gorgeous and functional pieces for yourself and great gift ideas.
My granddaughter is a girl scout and the troop went there to paint pottery. The owner was kind and explained process and let girls have fun. Adults can do tis as well.
Had a unfortunate problem and they were absolutely wonderful to help us resolve. The potter Shari was amazing in making another piece.Could not be happier and would highly recommend.

I was delighted to see some cool unique museum pieces and fortunate to have a good chunk of the very well informed docent’s time. Thank you! Ever wondered what happened to Roosevelt’s famous safari hat?

Great place to learn about the history of Salida and the surrounding area.
The Salida Museum is a fun way to explore the history of Salida. We got lots of personal attention and our guide was super knowledgeable. The displays are well curated and in true Salida fashion, there are lots of weird surprises!
Friendly l, informative and inviting manager on duty. When you go to Salida, you should visit the museum to get a better understanding and appreciation for the town and beautiful area. It's a treasure.
Bob is such a wonderful docent - he showed us all around and gave us a FASCINATING tour of the museum! They have a great selection of local history and some very cool rotating displays. This is definitely worth seeing!
The Salida Museum is chock full of history from local characters, railroads, businesses, events and more. We enjoyed learning about Salida and the museum from its director Susan Jesuroga. Plan a couple of hours to view and read all of the memorabilia.
Very disappointed it was closed. It is only open on the weekends during their winter hours.

The location on the map is the Arkansas Headwaters Recreation Area OFFICE. Is there a different place to review the actual Recreation Area? Or should I not review the office here? Google Maps can be really confusing sometimes. The office (headquarters?) area open to the public is quite small. There are a lot of tourist information brochures available and a very small gift shop space. There is a computer/kiosk/thingy OUTSIDE the office where you can buy a Colorado State Parks Pass. There's also a educational/interactive area aimed at kids. It is free to enter this building.
Nice place to pull over and stretch has picnic tables bbq grill bathroom. Deck to look at the river.
Lovely spot for all things outdoors! Great views, picnic tables and play places for the kiddos with a small amphitheater. The river is quiet, soothing and clean. Plenty of shopping and restaurants around for fun.
Along Highway 50, west of Cañon city... a beautiful stop... across from Five Points Campsite... Bathrooms to relieve yourself and picnic tables to relax after 😄... Try to spot the big horn sheep when the river isn't grasping your attention... Definitely going to throw a line out and see what is biting... Could spend hours hiking around
The AHRA (not to be confused with the American Hot Rod Association) should be your first stop for information regarding the Arkansas River. The staff are courteous and professional. There are brochures galore for hiking, bicycling, and river activities.
Beautiful place for a stroll or watching people play water sports. Come early since parking fills up fast
John Kreskie, Jeff Hammond, Jess King, and the whole team are amazing for the park.
The five points campground in Canon city This campground is absolutely stunning and I would have loved to stay another day. (here comes the BUT) It must have been a serious tale of unfortunate events and poor planning on my part however, we set up camp decided that it was secure and went to the royal gorge rafting and zip lining tours which was amazing however when we got back our tents blew away I would have to say 50feet and the rain was soaked in the mattresses and the clothes. The second tale of unfortunate events were that a scorpion stung my in the rear end and although it was not deadly I did go to the hospital because I thought I was having an allergic reaction because my lips and neck were tingling that was just my bodies response and the adrenaline kicking in. In all the scorpion lived and so did I. We go to these places to relax and take life in a new perspective and I have no hate for this place its just requires a little more patience then I had. The third tale of unfortunate events is that we had a encounter of another species of mother natures beauties that deserves so so much respect and yet gets none which is ridiculous, anyways, that was on our last day and we just changed camp sites and left it be it was not there in the beginning of our stay but it was a little daunting being careful of every step you take. Now for the fourth and final tale of unfortunate events is that the sheer amount of bugs that bite was astounding and I am not one to shy away because of some bugs they do not scare me. However, I can say that I am one big ball of itch. Alright, if you have made it this far its a true state of unfortunante events and im impressed you've made it this far! Have fun camping and be safe and respectful to all that you encounter!

Just had an amazing experience w my wife at their winery. 10star for sure. Amazing service combined w tasty wines and hospitality. The owner Chanda took the time to take us on a tour and they are definitely committed to excellence. We will be back !! Thank u.
Delicious wine and super friendly! Samples are free, flights are $14. And you can drink your flight out by the creek on the property, it was beautiful.
The most precious gift beyond the atmosphere and a great wine are the people you share or they share their time with you! Todd, Channa are fantastic hosts find a common topic and let the stories fly.. It was a special evening and we highly recommend it! Ohh and select the Mead it's as special as the time you spend with one another!
A great stop! When traveling, I always search if there are any local wineries to try. This place was a great experience. We spoke with the winemaker Chanda and she was very friendly. Great conversation. She let us sample several wines after asking what types we enjoy. We got a glass and sat outside near the creek. We were greeted by a very friendly cat named Fifi as well. Watch your wine glass, she loves to rub and love on everything lol.
Just visited your booth at the Windsor wine festival. We had so much fun visiting with you and tasting all your creations! So yummy. My favorite was the blackberry wine. Or maybe it was the apricot 🤔 😅 ok so they were all good.
Great family run winery! Wines were great and the people were very friendly. They also have a few cute dogs that love to say hello.
Mountain Spirit Winery, is a true gem in Colorado. The owners Carlos and Chanda, were a delight. They treated us like family and the wines were just as pleasing. They let us taste the wines at no-charge! A definite "go back". Oh and military discount. Thank you Reyes family for your hospitality!
Mountain Spirit Winery ended up being better than I expected. Honestly, I wasn’t sure what I’d find out in this part of Colorado, but it was definitely worth the stop. The wines were solid—especially the Symphony in Red Syrah—and the whole vibe was laid back and friendly. Chanda, the winemaker, was great to talk to and clearly cares about what she’s doing. Fifi the cat makes it even better! Definitely stopping back in when I'm back in the area!

My experience shopping at "Fabulous Finds" was surprisingly delightful. The owners Dea and her husband Dan were gracious and helpful. Their retail space was neat and inviting, and the merchandise was all beautifully displayed and attractively priced. I would highly recommend this establishment for good values on women's clothing, shoes, purses, antiques, and jewelry.
I agree with everything said by Art Seller. Fabulous finds is a delightful shop with high quality clothing and other items and the most helpful owners. I had so much fun finding the treasures I brought home with me. Whether you're looking for elegance, whimsy, chic or hip, I highly recommend Fabulous Finds.
My mom and I stopped in here and both found lots of nice stuff. My mom found 2 pairs of comfortable shoes like new, and she has a very hard time finding shoes in the shoe stores even! I had to limit myself because there were so many nice things I wanted to buy!
I stopped by here for years to pick up Hawaiian shirts from their great selection. This year it looks like a Coldwell Banker has taken it's place. If it relocated, I would love to know where it went.

This gallery is delightful and the owner/artist Steph was very friendly and kind. We enjoyed speaking with her and she showed us how the glass changes color with the light. The beads, Stained glass art, and paintings in this shop are beautiful. Hoping to stop by here again soon! I loved so many of their pieces.
Amazing gallery unique stained glass. Love the trees, mountains, that change color with direction and light. Steph fuses dichroic flashed glass.
10 stars! We have made multiple purchases from The Green Cat. We love everything there, especially the interesting glass creations. The owner is a delight to visit and work with. Highly recommend stopping in for a visit!
This is mine and my husband's favorite gallery in Salida. The owner does wonderful work with glass, and her paintings are fun and whimsical. The stone sculptures are amazing. She is a very friendly and talented artist. If you're looking for affordable, high quality artwork in Salida, don't pass up the Green Cat.
A friend who lives in Colorado and knows how much I love original art suggested that I visit the green cat on my next trip to Salida, saying it was the best art gallery in town. I did, and she was 100% right. I absolutely loved the glasswork and paintings created by Steph Brady, and ended up purchasing two of them (I would have purchased more if my budget allowed!) Steph was helpful, wonderful and caring -- so much so that we became e-mail buddies after I arrived back home. This gallery is just fantastic and I'm so glad I found it!
A great gallery. A block off the main street but worth finding it. Reasonable prices for some very nice artwork. Two thumbs up!!
