We had a great ride and a wonderful tour guide. Would highly recommend them for a group trail ride. More than the typical nose to tail, they customize the ride to your level.
On our visit, there were multiple options to enjoy. Horse riding, ATV riding, or a carriage tour (bug carriage hauled by a truck). We took the carriage ride as I had my elderly parent with me. The Ranch is high in the hills so you can have sweeping panoramic views all the way down tot he far far distant seaside towns and beaches. We had morning fog or clouds passing by us and sometimes around us making for an ever changing landscape. I would have liked the opportunity to play on one of the ATV"s so maybe for the next visit.
Wow! This was an amazing experience! The Paniolo BBQ Dinner was top notch! I overheard many people saying they had come back because it was so good and that it was better than anything else they’ve done. Not to mention the excellent food but there’s also lots of activities like a roping demonstration and lessons, branding your own souvenir plank, out of this world stargazing, dancing, roasting marshmallows, the most beautiful sunset in the world, and a very interesting brief history lesson. Would recommend this to anyone wanting to enjoy a delicious dinner while creating unforgettable precious memories!
We did the 1.5 hour horseback ride with Darien and Jacquie which was an absolute blast! We had opportunities to take the horses up to a trot and canter which was a lot of fun! You're also given the freedom to spread out and roam around the pastures following your group. Our guides were very knowledgeable about the local history and landscape sharing fun facts and answering questions along the way. The views are stunning.
Great horse ride if you like that sort of thing. You get the option to trot and canter during the ride. The guides, Jackie and Bridget, were super friendly and knowledgeable.
10 stars if I could. It's worth every penny. Amazing staff. Fantastic guides and breathtaking scenery. I'm not sure if we will ever get back to Hawaii, but if we do, we will be there again to check out the other adventures. Mahalo
The sites were so amazing on this tour. The guides were very friendly and the horses were very compliant. My fiance and I had a wonderful time and we really enjoyed the conversations throughout the tour with the guides. This was an amazing experience and we'd recommend it to anyone.
We had a wonderful day! What a beautiful experience! I would do it again in a heartbeat

Tldr; great beach and park First, it's easily accessible by any type of car and not too far from Kona (40min drive). Second, it offers clean water, sand beach and easy water access for any age. There're some small snorkeling spots, but it's not the best spot for it. Third, the facilities are great with tons of available tables for eating, even several covered ones. There're 4 outdoor showers and a centralized bathroom where there are multiple inside showers. Fourth, the access and parking is free for everyone, while camping have to be purchased beforehand. Finally, it's a very good spot for whale watching during winter months.
This park is pretty epic. Very pretty has lots of space for grass spots to hang, picnic tables, sand beaches, basketball courts you name it. Lot of cool stuff to do and a great spot to pull in on a kayak or canoe.
05/03/2025 (Sat) When we visited, it seemed like there was a big group event going on — the place was super crowded, with long lines for parking and several staff helping direct traffic. But when we stopped by on another day, it was calm and peaceful, so I think it’s usually a pretty quiet spot. The beach has soft white sand and feels like a great place to relax. There were several clean private shower rooms and proper restrooms. I also saw a basketball court and what looked like options for boating, though I’m not sure if a permit is needed for those. There are plenty of picnic areas, including big covered tables (pavilion). Down a set of stairs, some local kids were fishing, and there was a shower nearby too. There’s a decent amount of shade, so it’s pretty comfortable.😊✨ The waves were fairly strong and the water didn’t look very clear, so it might not be ideal for snorkeling. I also noticed a few tents in the designated camping area. It looks like overnight camping is allowed, but you probably need a permit for that.
I'd give 4.5 or 4.7 if I could. It's not PERFECT but a very nice beach with plenty of shade and some picnic tables. We saw a few sea turtle very nearby in the water while swimming. Going back tomorrow!
Great Beach to just chill, have a picnic or a swim.. Camping is allowed as well.. (FYI) The restrooms were out of order when I visited in early September, not sure if it was for maintenance or what? But other than that its a very nice place
A very clean and scenic Hawai'ian Beach Park. We spontaneously stopped by after a visit of the nearby Pu‘ukoholā Heiau State Park. There were Nene on the parking lot.
What a beautiful beach. And the park has clean, if not a bit rustic, bathrooms along with plenty of picnic tables and charcoal grills. A lovely place to spend the day.
This beach was one of my family's favorites on the big island. It had the warmest water and the least rocks, and the waves weren't too big, which made it great for the younger kids. Not really a snorkeling spot, but we still went back for a second trip. Lots of shade from seating under big beautiful trees if you get a good spot. The bathrooms were clean and there was a foot washing station. Also handicap accessible. We even saw a rainbow 🌈

A highlight of our holiday visit to Hawai’i this year (2024) was a fantastic horseback ride at 4d Quarter Horses. Just a little under an hour from Kailua-Kona, and just 20 minutes from the Waikoloa resorts, the 90 minute up-country ride gives amazing views of the dry-side slopes, the high volcanoes including Mauna Kea and its astronomical observatories dotting the peak, and the ocean with Maui in the distance. The horses are very well cared for and have nice dispositions. Our wrangler, Ikena, was delightful. The ranch is clean and well-kept, including rest rooms. While we have ventured to Hawai’i often, the Big Island is still new to us and is where we plan to return for future exploration. When we do come back, 4d will definitely be on our to-do list - and we heartily recommend putting it on yours!
My husband and I went in February, I am an experienced rider and was excited to be able to spend time with the animals. The owner of the ranch herself was nice, though she was very quick no time for hanging around the horses. She didn’t let anyone pet or touch them prior to getting into the saddle and even after. I thought for the price she is asking for, and being a more experienced rider she would have let me hang with the animals more. It was just a straight shot trail walk, kinda boring but it was nice nonetheless if you’re into that sort of thing. She takes good care of her animals too which was lovely to see, happy horses!
Had the most wonderful riding adventure with my daughter this past weekend at the ranch. Kiyo the owner, greeted us like family and Vicki, the trail guide, was a joy to ride with and had a fun sense of humor. The horses are gorgeous, well cared for and responsive. The ride was beautiful and had views of the Kona coast that is breathtaking. On our adventure we encountered peacocks, goats and cattle. Vicki collected feathers for us and took us exploring. At a couple points, we were able to lope along the grassy lane. It was a most memorable day and we will surely return and are planning to do the Kona sunset adventure at the ranch.
We had an amazing time. Such amazing views of Kailua-Kona, Mt Kohala, Mauna Kea and even Maui off in the distance. We called a little last minute and Ms. Vicki was able to get us in. Be sure to check in about their new location off the 190. Highly recommend 🤙🙏
This ride was definitely relaxing and calming. Vicky proved to be an outstanding guide. The horses were excellent and really took care of us. My son and I are less than amateurs, but between the horses and Miss Vicky, we really enjoyed the ride. I am super happy we chose 4D Quarter Horses!
Fantastic open range rides! Been up there many times and keep going back for more. Our wranglers Corina and Vickie are the best guides ever. Plenty of Aloha with guests and these cowgirls are the real deal. Ranching, rodeo and excellent horsemanship. Been on cattle drives and beautiful meandering range rides with them and it's always a blast. They'll take good care of beginners and kids and give plenty of opportunities to canter and trot for more experienced riders. These are real working ranch quarter horses, well trained, calm and responsive. Had super fun rides on Bullet, Sunny D and Shifter. This is hidden Hawaii at it's best. Definitely a must do for visitors and locals alike!
Hands down the best "trail ride" I've ever been on! Corrina our guide was absolutely amazing, as always! And this location is the absolute best place to ride a horse In Hawaii! Gorgeous green rolling hills, creeks, even some ponds to swim through thanks to all the recent rain! Wonderful well cared for horses, the best guide on this planet! And plenty of views! Mauna Kea, Kohala it was all just a dream! Thank you @4d_horsebackrides and @g2g808 Until next visit! A hui ho 🐎 💕 ⛰️ 🏔
First of all, this place is stunning. The horses and the ride are not your traditional nose to tail trail ride, you get to venture out a bit as long as you stay with the group. The staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating for all ages and abilities. Vicky was our guide and was fantastic and the kind of person you want to hang out with! This was a definite highlight of our trip!!

Loved it. It's a self guided tour, However, when we checked in, the lady who checked us in shared some awesome history about the ranch and family. The ranch also has some WWII history behind it. Do put on your list of things to see while on the big island.
3 stars for a museum historical site is ok. Not a lot of things but great history of the paniolas, Hawaiian cowboys from Spain. The woodwork in the adjacent building is 5 star.
Tour the two historic homes of famous Parker Ranch, but by reservations only. Tour the last home and the first home of the Parker family. The original homestead is made entirely out of koa wood and there is nothing like it anywhere in the world. These were working ranch homes, nothing really fancy, but there are some surprises. The koa home is just amazing. You'll also see the carriage house, maybe some wild turkeys and horses too. Plenty of parking. This is a chance to better understand the history of the family dynasty that has shaped the Big Island for the past 150 years.
This is a neat tour to read about the history of the ranch and ranch owners. They should really create an audio tour instead of just paper pamphlets, not only for saving paper resources but also for equity of all visitors. The tour is short and won't take more than an hour. And disappointingly, you can't actually see any of the working ranch areas. They should really have a short route people can take a guided golf cart tour to working ranch areas as that would be something unique and add value to the experience. It was underwhelming overall and I would skip going here is pressed for time on the island. It's really not worth the price of admission.
This was a neat historical stop. The old house was impressive with all the koa wood and historical pictures and artifacts. I enjoy history and this appealed to me. The drive through the area is pleasant and is a good prelude to stopping at the Parker ranch mall with some good food and shopping options.
Had a great time learning about the history of the Parker Ranch. Incredible to learn about one of the oldest ranches in Hawaii. The home is grand and beautiful, many items intact from the early 1900s
Walked the entry Lane to the headquarters, such a beautiful day, the intermittent sun was painting the hills bright green behind the Parker house. Sturdy eucalyptus trees bent by the wind ushered us in. Wonderful history of a benevolent family.
Stopped by on our way through Waimea on the recommendation of a friend. Cute little place, with the original Parker House and the newer house serving as the main building. It is a self guided tour, and only took us about 20-25 minutes to walk though. Overall a nice little side stop.

Awesome farmers market. The perfect place to spend a Saturday morning with the family. Both times I went to the market, there was live entertainment - including one of the local high school bands playing classic rock music! The food booths are great - full of delicious, locally grown foods. There is also a vendor run by a couple that sells flavored coconut chips that they make themselves. They are incredibly addictive. I highly recommend this farmers market. It's cute, in a beautiful location and full of booths that are worth stopping by.
Local merchants selling fresh produce, handmade items, and some tourist items. Parking is difficult when full to capacity. A limited number of booths. A country style musician was playing music near the food merchants.
Never Disappoints with the Eclectic Mish Mash of Vendors! From Delicious home made chocolates, Honey and Lomi Sticks!! Meet New Upcoming Creative Jewelry Artists and Unique Gem Collectors! Oh yeah! The Veggies are Plump and Fresh!! Enjoy your Sunrise Here!!
Such a great escape from everyday tourist traps. Local eats, plants, art and people. Lovely for an early morning excursion away from the resorts.
Small market with mainly local fruits and vegetables. There was only 6 vendors on 6/30. We spent only a few minutes here before heading to the Town Market, which had many more vendors.
I ALWAYS love coming here! Great vendors, great products, friendly welcoming atmosphere. Go experience it!
Great for prepared food but very few local produce
Small, some things are pricey, but others are a really good deal. Worth a visit.

Ok, my wife, for some reason, thinks this place is creepy. Too open to the ocean. Thinks sharks might go there. I’ve never seen one here. I personally really like this place. Know before you go: 1.) There is NO beach here. It’s an old cement pier with a ladder that you use to lower yourself into the water. It’s nice though. Otherwise the shore is lava rock with no place to enter the water. 2.) My wife is correct in one regard though… this is very open to the ocean. Deeper water than most snorkeling places. Can be exposed to large swells. Getting in and out on the ladder in a swell can be very challenging. 3.) If you have mobility issues, then getting in the water could be very hard. 4.) Snorkeling can be very good here. But if the wind or swells are up then the water can be a little murky. 5.) Popular with spear fishers. 6.) It’s over an hour north of Kona. 7.) Definitely NOT for little kids. I’d say 10 or even 12 would be the youngest that should swim here unless you have been on a swim team or are accustomed to ocean swimming. 8.) You should probably be a strong swimmer to go here. The ladder itself is straight up and down and can be tough. Once you’re in, you’re in ocean water with all the swells. It’s a cool place and unlike anywhere else on the island. See what you think… creepy or cool?
Relatively quiet area! Great place for a swim or snorkelling! Couldn’t find a proper trail to the nearby lighthouse. Lots of reef fish around! 2 parking areas with plenty of parking!
Cool spot for snorkeling and free dive. 2 different areas to park, water seems clear with a ladder entry on one side. Not very busy on a Friday afternoon.
Great Snorkeling! There were so many fish, urchins and coral to look at. There is an old anchor and chain that are fun to look at and not too far out. Easy in/out with a ladder too. It's also a great place to watch the sunset.
Great place to jump in and snorkel around. Did some diving here too and the visibility was great!
Good but not great. 3 star for snorkeling but probably higher for diving beyond a buoy? Mostly 15-25 feet depths up to the buoy. Metal, sturdy ladder for easy entry/exit. Be aware of bigger swells but still relatively calm water. Unfortunately the corals are half dead and the snorkeling area is probably not what it once was. Larger (~3 ft) trumpet? fish.
This very unique park makes use of a former sea port and railroad depot that once serviced Hawaiian sugar plantations. The best feature is the harbor which is awesome for swimming and snorkeling. The concrete docks, stairs and ladders make ocean access very easy. The waters are calm and protected with lots of beautiful tropical fish. There is also a 0.1 mile path that takes you out to a historic lighthouse and a bench that offers a spectacular panoramic view.
By far the best place to snorkel on the big island. But, you have to get out on the edges by the black rocks to be in the fish tank with the big fish. Better than Captain Cook or two-step Beach. Worth the drive and the views coming down are incredible. Stop at big Surf Burger afterwards.

This is one experience that I enjoyed with the kiddos very much. The pieces and the legacy behind all of the exhibts are immesurable. It is a free art gallery. Admission is free. There are curators or guides happy to help and share. They have items, such as jewlery, that can be purchased and all are handmade by local artists and all the pieces for sale and on exhibit are tied to Hawaiian history, the Hawaiian race and are results of artists that have loved the Hawaiian Islands and the people of Hawaii.
Amazing art center! Mollie and Charlene were super kind to my girlfriend and I, along with the lady at the front desk I forgot to get her name. It was a great experience, if you're lucky enough you'll also get to meet Mr. Siam. Thank you, til next time!
This is our second time we're have been able to view the Hawaiian wood working show. If you are into fine woodworking this is a must see!
Take Isaacs Art Center located in Waimea is a wonderful place to visit. Each room displays authentic art by Hawaiians. The carvings of Master Wood Carvers were especially notable. Furniture, vases and sculptures featured beautiful natural woods. There are also Paintings and other items.
What a beautiful place. I loved the work the kids displayed. What a magical way of transporting history into the new days.
Great gallery with real art and real artisans. Sales benefit the school. Don't miss!
This place has amazing art of all varieties and of Hawaiian arts covering the past 200 years Woodworking, jewelry, stone, glass and more. Don't be put off by looks outside, as the building itself is a historical interest. Parking is behind the building. Best rating!!
Great gallery to learn a lot about Hawaiian art and the artists that poured their life in the work. Appreciated that it wasnt just trying to get you to buy the pieces (although a majority of the gallery was available to purchase to support the local art scene) but the staff wanted you to walk away impacted from the collection.

We had a really good time. The riding itself actually lasts less than 2 hours, not the mentioned 2.5 hours, but for beginner riders that's better anyway because your legs get very sore from that kind of a ride. The extra time is for a quick lesson on how to tell the horse what to do, and get ready to go. When you reach the meetup point, you'll be taken on a very cool drive down in the valley on an extremely steep road with the most gorgeous view. The bits of trivia they give you while riding is very interesting. We got to see some wild horses from up close too!
Jamie and Grace did an exceptional ride and the scenery and history is very engaging. Both guides were knowledgeable and open with information. The van ride to the bottom of the valley can be a bit harrowing (only county road in HI that pedestrians do NOT have the right of way). Well worth the -$90/ adult rider.
Staff was very nice and friendly. Probably the best trained horses we ever had. Definetely recommended for parents with kids or people who haven't sat on a horse for a while. Also newbies will definetely enjoy the valley way more from a horseback rather than from a tourbus. Unfortunately the horse ride itself didn't last the promised 2,5 hours. In total it wasn't even two hours on the horse. Also we missed to trot or canter - it was just walking speed the whole way. But still this is probably the best way to experience the beautiful Waipi'o Valley!
SUCH A GREAT TIME! The views from the valley were unbelievable. It was an incredibly fun activity for the whole family, which included novice and seasoned riders. The only thing I'll warn you about is the van ride down- now that is not for the faint for heart- but once you're down there it is SO SO WORTH IT!! Cannot recommend enough!!
This was one of the best experiences my husband and i had on the island. The guides are very knowledgable and friendly. The view is to die for and you have a great view of Hiilawe falls and other falls. The horses also very friendly and easy to ride.
The horseback ride to waipi'o valley is surreal. The valley is truly a paradise and more. My wife and I went to visit big island, October 2021. This is our first horseback ride. Grace and Jamie were both excellent and communicative. The horses were gentle and well trained. The instructions were simple and clear. The tour was in between 2 and 2.5 hours total. The valley itself was beautiful, it was calm, soothing and just being there was therapeutic. Interacting with the horses just makes the experience even more wonderful. I would highly recommend this tour.
Great trail ride experience! The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and took care to match horses to riders. I’m an experienced rider and my husband is a confident beginner, and we both really enjoyed it. The horses know their job and are well cared for. We’d definitely ride here again and recommend it to anyone.
My husband and I had Grace for our tour guide. Grace was professional, warm and a lovely person full of knowledge about the local way of life and the area! We felt comfortable on the horses, with a mix of beginners and advanced riders in our group. The guides matched the riders to the horses with loads of thought and everyone's needs were catered for. the ride itself was amazing and should be noted as a must do when in the area. I can not recommend this place enough! Thanks so much for the Hawaiian welcome girls!

Amazing evening, Aloha Style. Food, song, hula...wow. Felt like a member of the family and a part of the land by the end of the evening. Rich in culture and heritage 🏝
I loved painting at this venue for a wedding! The wedding was so picturesque and the staff was so wonderful to work with. I definitely hope to be back and would recommend it to any couple looking for a gorgeous and extremely special location.
I just popped in on a weekday afternoon and gave myself a self-guided tour of the property. Although I did not enter any of the buildings or the gift shop, I was overwhelmed by the beauty of the very well maintained grounds. There were gorgeous gardens and a treasure trove of interpretive signs that detailed fascinating information about Hawaiian history and culture. And there are stunning volcanic hills surrounding the homestead that make it even more scenic. Highly recommend stopping here, I will be back to tour the buildings.
A Hidden Gem along the highway. Not to be missed. A quiet retreat worth the "recommended" donation. Beautiful skies, green hillsides, and a lovely garden walk. A family history waiting to be discovered! Enjoy!
Nice tour. Good food. Talented hula dancers
The Waimea area has a long history of ranching on the island. This ranch at the foot of hills still used for grazing, has preserved some of its past. A pastoral setting worth the experience. The place was open for a self guided experience.
We shot a wedding here a couple of years ago and absolutely loved working here! Beautiful wedding venue tucked away in the hills of Hawaii!

Just went to a concert one usually dances to and felt particularly uncomfortable dancing in my seat. The juxtaposition of lecture style seating and Anuhea just wasn't for me! That was my bad, this was my first time at this location and my 5th Anuhea concert, and couldn't pass it up! I wasn't sure what to expect so I'll share my abbreviated experience. At this reggae concert, there wasn't an intermission, as I was expecting in a venue of this sort where the median age was like 60. They also didn't serve booze or snacks. (I've been to similar venues pre-covid and they at least had drinks for sale before and during.) It is a drive. If coming from Hilo, give yourself at least an hour and a half. If you're a tourist, the drive is gorgeous and you will be tempted to pull over and detour if it's daytime and your first time up that way. There are some places open for before an evening event, but as much of the island is, expect things to be closed or closing when you get out of the event. Eat/drink first! I saw people with water bottles, but that's it. Now why the 5*?! It's a beautiful drive, a gorgeous location, every seat is good as far as I can tell! There are plenty of places to eat nearby before the event. The sound was beautiful and the place was well kept. If this is your thing, go! Maybe just not to a reggae concert, unless they open up a dance floor!!! 😂
This is a great venue for all sorts of experiences. We love the local plays and great music@
Recently saw A Little Night Music. It was excellent, complete with a professional pit orchestra. The seats were comfortable with a full audience. They have a coffee bar with snacks. The single stall restrooms are clean and roomy if you have to use assistive devices. The staff couldn't ha ve been any better. We really enjoyed the show, it would have been nice if the AC was just a little cooler. Otherwise no complaints.
Great theatre, clean, updated, and friendly service. Keep in mind that it is not air-conditioned as Kamuela is usually a cooler temp city. Shows starts on time, so do show up early.
We are visiting Hawaii for the first time and decided to check out the Robert Cazimero performance. The venue was lovely and the staff was great. We absolutely loved checking out the art gallery before the show.
Great community theater! Art gallery inside, and they always put on some really awesome events and productions.
An amazing theater! Not a bad seat in the house with incredible Acoustics. The house was packed for Christmas with Na Leo.

We really enjoyed this beach! Park at Spencer Beach park. There is a footpath to the south of the bathrooms. 10-15 minute walk. We went to this beach several times and it was never crowded. South end of the beach has decent snorkeling as well.
Secluded beach, only a 15-minute hike south from Spence Beach. Totally worth the effort.
This is a bit of a hidden gem. The couple of times I've been here, there have been only a few other people or families. The beach is accessed by parking at Spencer beach (no parking fee) and taking about a .4 mile hike. The path is pretty good, we had no problem walking it in sandals and flip flops. It is basically flat with no hills, a very easy walk. You used to be able to get here by getting a parking pass at the Mauna Kea guardhouse and driving down. I heard that Mauna Kea was no longer giving access, but I have not verified that. The beach has beautiful fine sand and seems to be fairly sheltered from the shore break. There is moderately good snorkeling around the beach. I would say that it's a great beach to relax and have a good time without a lot of other people. There is probably better snorkeling and boogie boarding at other places. It is certainly worth checking out to see if it fits what you're looking for.
This is a great beach tucket away between Mona kea resort and Spencer Beach Park . Dog friendly short hike from SBP down the coast line . You will find the trail next to the pavilion 15 minutes hike on the kings trail . Safe parking . Very nice secluded beach . Very much worth the look !
Nice beach, not crowded but not secluded either. Is it worth the 15 minute walk to get there? Spencer beach is nice and the parking and bathroom services are right there but maybe not as picturesque.
This beach has everything you need! Plenty of room to spread out in the sun, but many shady spots to avoid getting burnt, as well. We went here many times during our time on the Big Island, and it was never too crowded. The surf was big enough for boogie boarding but not big enough for surfing. Perfect for swimming, I'd estimate the temp of the water to be around 75°F, just brisk enough to be refreshing after laying in the sun. The water is absolutely gorgeous, and there are plenty of stops along the way from Spencer Beach, enough to have plenty to look at along the way, and to appreciate getting there. The most notable spot on the hike is the "wall of cats" (an old stone wall structure where all the local stray cats hang out). Mau'umae beach has really nice sand, lovely views, and is fun to hike to (or you can obtain a parking pass from the nearby Mauna Kea resort, but there aren't many to be had).
Fabulous small secluded beach. The water is calm and soft white sand. If there aren't any parking passes available at Mauna Kea Resort gate, just make the third right after the gated entry. It looks like it's for employees only, but an employee told us to take that road. You will go over two small bridges before you come to a parking area. The walk down to the beach isn't difficult for most people. There aren't any bathroom or shower facilities, but it's a fabulous beach. Spencer beach is 1/4 of a mile away if you need facilities.
Beautiful place to spend the day! Great for enjoying the sun & the beautiful blue waters..take a little hike through the forest to only reach yet another beach if the main one is to busy..loved it here!

Fun weekend market for fresh produce, meats, foods, arts, crafts, jewelry, and other local products all made on the Big Island. I especially enjoyed the BLT I bought from the Mai Bacon stand. Yummy! Fresh fried local bacon, Hawaiian bun, local produce, with a tasty aioli sauce. The macadamia nut caramel tart was tasty from another stand. Elsewhere I had one of the best apple turnovers I’ve ever had. Parking can be a challenge.
The Waimea Town Market is a very popular farmer’s market which beautifully locally grown vegetables as well as local bakery products, jewelry and all kinds of local vendors. I know the market is open on Saturdays from 7:30 am til ( I think) noon!
Great selection of local fruits, vegetables, food and various craft items with live music. Don’t miss Le Magic Pan and her AMAZING Crêpes! They are scrumptious. Sweet and savory options available.
This farmers’ market is absolutely amazing. The temperature here is refreshing, and so is the food. Unique, delicious, and rare things fill this mouthwatering place. So many foods to choose from. You must come here!
The farmers market is so amazing great vendors with a good variety of food options. The best thing I had there was to smash burger, hands-down the best burger I’ve ever had in my life. Also, next to the Smashburger tent is a unique fermented veggie vendor so I picked up some pickled veggies to go with my burger. It was honestly the best meal I had on the island.
Great market located right in the heart of Waimea. Open on Saturdays until around 1pm. You can find nice local products, fresh cooked foods, local farm harvested fruits and vegetables, flowers, handmade knives, jewelry and more. Easy to access and not crowded. Look at the weather before you go as the coastal area weather is different than Waimea. Enjoy the Aloha spirit and the beautiful city.
Saturday’s Waimea Town Market satisfied my appetite. One vendor sold me a double Kona espresso to go with the neighbors Mexican tamales. I ate my breakfast , while, I watched people forming a long line to buy baked goods. A cheese vendor sold me a variety of sample size pieces of goat cheese to eat later, while driving. I purchased a pineapple, papayas, and lemons. Vhuntermassage LLC

It's worth the effort to visit this historic look at the "evolving story" of Hawaiian society. You will be impressed by how the infusion of cattle and horsemanship was quickly incorporated. The "Paniolo" (Hawaiian cowboys) and the Hawaiian Royalty (supported by the leadership of riding women parading while dressed local Hawaiian style) impacted society and enhanced their lives. Please check for special events and visit. Their Heritage Shop supports efforts to educate and maintain history and facilities.
We were there to enjoy the museum, arts and crafts, and farmers market. Did not disappoint. Met Steven Foster again and bought his new book, saw all the different fresh fruits, great food venders, bought nuts, also enjoyed meeting the artist Bobbi Caputo and bought one of her unique tiles which represented her history in Hawaii. So interesting.
Great place to spend a couple of hours to learn more about the Paniolo culture and lifestyle of the Big Island. Self guided tour of famous Paniolo, cattle ranching, celebrations and female Pa'u riders. Small gift store too. Free parking and free admission. Glad I visited. Check website first to make sure of operating hours.
Great place to learn the history of the Paniolo. Enjoyed all the original saddles, pictures, and other artifacts. Friendly knowable staff.
Fun stop. Parking and restrooms available. The tour is self guided and two areas to explore.
Great small heritage museum that captures the history of the Parker Ranch as well as other large ranches in the islands. Tells the rich history of the Hawaiian cowboy heritage. Enjoyed it very much!
Very cool place with great exhibits in a very fitting setting
One of the highlights of my Hawaiian cruise was the Saturday visit to the Farmers Market at Pukalani Stables in Kamuela. Blue Corner Coffee, local and fresh roasted! Price is right & supporting locals! Raw honey from Big Island Moonbow Farms, Mamaki tea from Wynnwood Farms, bakers, home made soaps, handmade cards, excellant falafel for lunch. We could have spent more time at this market. If I lived there, I'd be there every week! The fresh produce looked amazing! Definately on my Return To list.

Busy, but great! Fun having it at the stables, which are open to walk through and learn about the paniolos. The market vendors are spread out around the stables, so it’s easy to miss one or two as there isn’t a linear path to peruse them all. Appreciate having handicap parking spots near the front. Not much for spots to sit down. A nice mix of prepared foods, produce, crafts, plants, etc.
Variety of Food , drinks, and fruits. small businesses I Would recommend to have cash on you
If you are on Kona, you have GOT to take the time to go here! This place has so many great vendors and wonderful authentic goods, and it was hard not to buy everything!
Can't complain. Love to fresh fruit and veggies. Usually some good food trucks, or local stands.
Found great local freeze dried fruit vendor. Like candy but healthy! Not as many vendors as normal due to rain but still worth the trip for a taste of the local community.
My family and I loved the snack stands, Aunty selling the freezer dried fruits was operating on Aloha that morning and gave samples with a free bag, I was so stoked to see Lock jaw was there - omg yes!
Excellent place to find fresh locally grown products and produce. I had a great Sandwitch and scored a few bags of 100% Kona coffee.
Mostly sells products and garden plants etc. Food vendors are good. Limited fruits and vegetables but pretty good selection

This is one of my favorite big island farmer’s markets! Gorgeous mushrooms, hydroponic greens, tasty exotic tropical fruits, local butcher truck with a great selection of grass fed beef and other meats, fresh vegetables, prepared foods, food trucks and more! So worth checking out! I go every week. Come early for best selection.
This was a really cool experience in Hawaii. It’s a great event to take your kids to. My girls are 17 and 19. They really enjoyed sampling things at the different booths. All the vendors were so nice.
I don't think this market needs much more promotion, but I'll add our experiences in case someone needs more convincing. In North Hawai'i, of the more mainstream farmer's markets - this is the best. It has great locally grown fruit and veg. As someone else mentioned, unusual and delicious mushrooms. Good prepared foods. If you're there for produce, suggest getting there by 7:30. If you want breakfast, its better after 8:30. Some vendors take apple pay/cards, but its good to have cash as well.
Good selection of produce. Smaller market but it had what we wanted to get. Lovely flowers. One stall we purchased jam to bring home to the mainland
Very pleasant community farmers market on Wednesdays! There are produce, mushrooms, crafts and food. As an Asian food afficiniado I was pleasantly surprised to find steamed Japanese abalone and Thai dumplings 🥟😋
10 out of 10 Farmer's Market! They had the nicest vendors! A different selection of items from local art to local produce to local jewelry. The food trucks were great, especially the pineapple pizza! If visiting the island, this is a must do! We drove from Kona and the drive was beautiful!
Favorite farmers market on island. Open on Saturday morning as well. We got some great Thai food, falafels, and Ukrainian Pyrpgki.
The Waimea Midweek Farmers Market at Parker Ranch was busy at 10:00 am. I bought a pineapple and bananas to eat later. The Red Barn food truck caught my attention. I ate a crispy sandwich of sautéed greens and cheese ( the green garden ), while I fed the wild chickens the potato chips. Vhuntermassage LLC
