We visited the center as part of a school group, so we were able to take advantage of the hands-on activities as well as watch a movie about the Oregon Trail. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable. Our 10 year old was able to help pack a wagon with supplies, keeping below the maximum weight. He also made a stick candle that he was able to bring home. The movie provided a glimpse into the lives of a handful of pioneers on the trail. Before we left, we visited the large gift shop and came home with a great book on other historical places in SW Oregon. Next time we're in Oregon City, we'll stop in to buy a t-shirt to commemorate our visit.
Growing up playing the Oregon Trail on the computer made this a must visit. The movie was a good introduction. The museum is informative as well as a NPS passport location for fellow stamp collectors.
End of the line… and the trip! This marker is where the Oregon Trail ends. If you played the game back in the ’90s, you know the struggle—keeping four oxen, the kids, and your spouse alive all the way from Independence, Missouri. We skipped the sickness and made it by plane. Seriously, it was great to find the end of the trail. Even with the modern surroundings, you can get a sense of what it might have felt to finally find a new home.
Nice museum with friendly and knowledgeable staff. Interesting exibits with historical artifacts.
Got Sr. Discount! Docents were all very helpful and informative. We were there on a Thursday morning in September, after kids had gone back to school. Not crowded at all. So much interesting information about the trail itself, what prompted people to embark on a trip so long and dangerous. I liked the myth vs. truth information. It definitely dispelled some of the myths we have all heard. I am looking forward to reading more about this era in westward expansion. The museum is self-guided so you can walk and read at your own pace. The wagons on display are fascinating. There is a lot of hands-on that would keep kids engaged. We also enjoyed the items on display on the outdoor path. Very nice, informative way to spend our morning!
Really interesting museum that has indoor and outdoor exhibits. Took us about an hour and a half to go through everything. Many interesting journal entries to read as well as hands-on activities. Handicapped accessible. The docent was very helpful and informative. We did not have time to watch the two movie presentations, but will be sure to catch them next time we go. Best suited for maybe age 10 and up because there is a good deal of information to read. We really learned a great deal and enjoyed our visit.
This was our 2nd visit & we loved it! The history of the Oregon Trail is self guided, well laid out with interactive activities for students. Definitely worth the time to explore. We’ll be back!
Our 3 boys spent almost 3 hours here! They loved all the hands on activities

It’s so beautiful. This wonderful sound of the waterfall and the beautiful sunset. If you really want to get closer to the waterfall, you can go from below on kayaks or on a boat. This will be an unforgettable moment in your life!😉
Pretty cool place, with all kinds of history! This is at a pull out on 99E.
Side of the road viewpoint. The old industrial buildings really take away from the beauty of the falls.
Meh. You can see better things elsewhere. It's rather underwhelming.
Kayaking to the falls at sunset was breathtaking. There is an old paper mill right next to it which is kinda creepy cool. Highly recommend kayaking as close as you can (the falls are so powerful you can’t get crazy close- but if you hover near the edge, you can get a pretty good view)
Cool local spot stopped in here to see the water height from all of our flooding, this is usually a 30 to 40' drop
Canoeing up to the falls is truly amazing! So easy to Falls back into time. Stunning and beautiful
Willamette Falls is the 2nd largest waterfall in the country (by volume) averaging 30,849 cfs. Beautiful at high water, or low. A staple attraction of our area!

Such a historical gem! Awesome info from Beverly at the help desk. Tons of free views and historical strolls to be found. Check it out!
Elevator worked as expected! Very useful and fun. The construction at the top part was pretty loud but that’s not the elevators fault. I totally recommend this elevator for getting up the hill instead of taking the streets. 10/10 overall would ride again.
Very cool place to visit. When you first cross the street to the entrance, there's a moment you feel like you're about the enter a time machine. There's a certain feel about it. The elevator works as it should and it's a direct, fast ride to the top. Once there, you see a panoramic view of the what below, and beyond. Definitely check it out. From there, you can exit and go for a short stroll.. Lots of green space in the neighborhood area where you are free to picnic and relax.
My guess is that people come here expecting some kind of grand contraption, but —-hate to burst your bubble —- it’s just a regular metal box with doors, pretty generic inside, that goes up and down when you push a button. Don’t get me wrong, the tunnel entrance to the elevator ground floor is pretty cool, and after the ride up (one floor only) you exit into a wild, spaceship-looking circular glass observation deck at the top that hangs over the city, giving you bird’s eye, 180 Degree views of the area. But at the end of the day, it’s a functional elevator. It’s the only outdoor municipal one in the US, but still. Also, there is a nicely-designed but long-ish stone stairway you can take as an alternative. Bonus: mini-waterfall at the top of those stairs
This is actually a really cool place to visit. Lots of plaques, pictures, and posters on the history of the area and the elevator. Elevator is free use. It was really neat to go up to the top and take the walking path towards Willamette falls and see all the old hydro electric dams and paper mills. Willamette falls is only second in volume flow of water in the USA, behind Niagara falls off course.
It was alright had to pay for parking and got beautiful views of the town and the river You will have to pay for parking most likely if you came in the way I did although I’m not sure how often they check it out here
This is a great place to enjoy a walk and see a nice view of the Oregon City downtown, the waterfall and, and if it's sunny, the mountains!
Very cool attraction and it's free. This was my first time in the outdoor elevator, interesting historical info, nice view of the city and the river. Guide at the top was wonderful, she pointed us to promenade, stairs and local area. Public washroom at the base was a welcome site after a long walk.

I love being a vendor here! The market manager, Jessica, and the market staff are wonderful and do a great job at every market to bring the best vendors to the area. Everyone works very hard to bring the highest quality produce, handmade products and food to the community. You never find fruit and vegetables this fresh at the grocery store. From smaller "backyard" farms to larger farms, OR City Farmers Market supports everyone's sustainability, including Mother Earth in these farmers. Beautiful fresh flowers, CBD products, grass fed beef and free open chickens and pork. Small bakers of bread and gluten free cookies and pastries. Fresh milk! Have you tried goats milk? I thought it would be like goat cheese… NOT! Goats milk is much lime cows milk. Sweet, buttery mild and delicious! Try some, you won't be disappointed. GoodPūD has been so supported by the OR City Farmers Market and the surrounding community. Love in My Tummy Foods is Grateful to you all.
Cute little market with a little mix of everything from veggies, flowers, soaps, coffee and don't forget that fresh glass of lemonade on a warm sunny summer day!
Lively variety of farm goods, baked goods, honeys, jams, flowers, and much more. Live music, Mexican food cart, and Master Gardeners for your gardening questions. At CCC year round on Saturdays.
The Oregon City Farmers Market is a fantastic place to shop and explore! The variety of fresh, local produce is incredible—everything from fruits and vegetables to baked goods and artisan products. The vendors are always friendly and passionate about what they offer, and you can truly feel the sense of community. I love coming here on weekends to support local farmers and small businesses. The market is well-organized, with plenty of space to browse without feeling crowded, and there’s always something new to discover. Whether you’re looking for fresh ingredients, unique crafts, or just a fun outing, the Oregon City Farmers Market is a must-visit!
Farmers market was easy to find once you turn onto S. Beavercreek. Parking lots were busy as it was a beautiful day. My grandson danced to the tunes from the solo guitarist. At the other end of the row was a talented accordion player! There was plenty of room to maneuver through this farmers market with plenty of selection for fruit, veggies, sourdough/baked goods, meat, and fish! Oh, my goodness! I almost forgot about the mini donuts!! YUM! Can’t wait to visit again!
Amazing visit at the Beaverton Farmer’s Market with our family. Everyone is very friendly. We indulged in visiting this year’s garden and went home with a beautiful bouquet of flowers from Mr. Lee from Boring. Fresh baked cookies were divine!
Beautiful and abundant, yet small, intimate market!!! Loveliest vendors and market staff. Only wish is that there were more of a variety of food carts that roll through. Same few food carts nearly every week.
Nicely laid out, great vendors, easy parking. The flower bouquets are bug and beautiful with $15-$25 price tag, great local ciders, fruit stands and unique veggies.

A great piece of history here in Oregon city, about 45 min from Portland. Speaks about how power was first generated from Willamette locks falls and transmitted to Portland - the first long distance power transmission in the United States!! Also has great views of the Willamette locks falls and the power generation unit that was constructed there. You can even cross the road outside the museum to see the falls itself, although there could be quite some traffic.
This is a large building with a small museum. The first floor has a small library, a small gift shop and the offices. The second floor has the museum. The third floor is an event space. The event space probably pulls in more money than the museum. This is an expensive modern building in a big city but, it looks like their visitor count is exceptionally low. For its size this museum is expensive. It has a beautiful view of the Willamette Falls and some explanation for what you see there. They have some beautiful Native American artifacts, but limited explanation for them.
Came here with a 6 year old and a 70 year old and they both enjoyed themselves. For those who are older and interested in the history of Oregon City, there is a lot of information and great visuals. For kids, there is currently a place where they can decorate a wood cookie and make a pretend fire. The there are buttons to press and a few things that might be interesting for them to see. I believe most kids will breeze through the space. There is a place to practice Morse code and play with 'powering locations' that is interactive. It is a small museum for the price, however the tickets count for another historic house that is only a few minutes away and are good for a month, so they could be used at another visit apparently. This was the first museum I was ever encouraged to "touch everything", which made it especially enjoyable for my 6yr old who felt freedom to open some drawers and to truly touch with our too much restriction. Staff is super sweet and very friendly. Veterans get free admission! Parking lot is pretty good sized and we had no problem with parking or waiting on a Thursday mid day. In fact, we had the place to ourselves and it was quite fun as part of our morning exploring of Oregon City. The bathrooms are nice and clean too! There is an elevator for those who might need it and it is roomy enough, you'd be able to get around with a wheelchair unless it was a particularly busy day.
Excellent museum. So many cool artifacts. Currently a new exhibit about the original people who lived there (indigenous) with history of hoew OC was developed and the pre and post industrial history of Willamette Falls. So great, highly recommend.
This is a freemason establishment that is deceiving the public. The two obelisks in front of the building are symbols of freemasonry. The gals at the front desk were aware of this when I asked if they knew that the museum was a masonic establishment. As we continued to chat, one of the staff members even tried to tell me that humans evolved from fish, not monkeys... I replied back and said those are both lies. Charles Darwin was also a deceiving liar freemason. “That is why I am here today, to sort out the lies and notify the public.” They have a few native artifacts on display with very little information about them. The story about the falls that is shown behind the petroglyph upstairs, is mockery towards the natives! The natives lived here for thousands of years before they were purposefully tormented and murdered. They were not incompetent dumb animals as these stories seem to suggest. The natives were highly intelligent and completely dependent on nature. The information shown at this museum does not tell the truth and does not show respect to those who were here before. It is a maze of deception with bits and pieces of the truth. I have been to every museum in the area and have had enough of the lies and freemason deception. Look up pictures of the Lewis and Clark exposition and old world fairs and other old world expositions. You will start to understand and look at things differently. Old world buildings are everywhere, Oregon city has plenty. The museums don’t show them openly though. Even the Oregon city elevator shows glimpses of old world buildings that are in the form of holographic pictures. A deceptive way of showing the old and new without being able to see the differences clearly. Hopefully this museum will redesign their space and showcase more of the people who lived on this land for thousands of years prior. Such as the Molalla Indians which were not mentioned at all in this museum. The past will not be forgotten especially the natives who lost their land, resources, family, culture, and lives.
Cute and informative museum that gives discounts to those with EBT cards for entry costs. Great place to learn about Oregon History
Great displays that tie in well to the ever changing themes at this museum. Small enough to browse through quickly, enough detail to spend a couple of hours learning about the area around Oregon City and Clackamas County. Photos are part of the regular non-rotating exhibit. Old pharmacy items.
It was a very nice, informative museum about the local history of Oregon City.

Hiden jewel in Oregon City. The house was closed-but walking around the property was amazing. The fall foliage was beautiful. Nice to see the community walking around taking advantage of the paths that connect the downtown area to this district. Wonderful place to take photos.
If you love learning about the history of the area and the people who helped shape it, this is the place to visit. My husband and I brought our two children, and the four of us enjoyed every moment of the tour. It began at the Barclay House, where our guide Richard, who was full of knowledge and insight, shared the story of Dr. Barclay, which then led into the story of Dr. McLoughlin, his accomplishments, and his life. Our tour at the McLoughlin House was fantastic. We never felt rushed, and Richard took his time to answer all of our questions and more. Once the tour ended, he recommended we continue our history journey at the Rose Farm Museum, about a mile away. If you have time after visiting the McLoughlin House, it’s well worth the stop!
This is the home of John McLoughlin, although he is currently residing in a small ivy covered lot next to the house. There was a rumor that he had died, but given that he was well known to be a powerful wizard, well versed in both Celtic and Native American craft, the rumors of his death are greatly exaggerated. There is a small fountain next to the house, and a path that goes under the street, past a small water fall, and can be used to get to the Oregon City Municipal Elevator.
McLoughlin's home, saved from demolition by the McLoughlin Memorial Association and moved to its present location in 1909, was added to the National Park System in 2003 as a unit of Fort Vancouver National Historic Site. The unit includes both the McLoughlin House and the neighboring Barclay House. Park staff and volunteers help keep it open on Fridays and Saturdays from 10 AM to 4 PM. Tours are free, and depart from the Barclay house located nextdoor, at the top of every hour.
Every person on the west coast should pay their thanks to this man. He was essentially the first person at Fort Vancouver to look south and envision what Oregon and California for that matter would become. He did all this as a British citizen, only becoming a citizen of the United States in 1851. 1 year before he died. I don't know what you think of the British, but I do know what you should think of this guy if you live anywhere on the west coast.
Interesting historical site in Oregon City, and annex to Fort Vancouver National Historical Site in Vancouver, Washington. The former home of John McLoughlin, Governor of much of the future United States northwest (and western Canada) for England's Hudson's Bay Company, the home is an interesting historical side trip. The docent on hand had a terrific knowledge of McLaughlin, the house, and Hudson's Bay Company history. It is only open for tours on Fridays and Saturdays, and only during the warmer months of the year. (They close the site for the winter, but you can still walk around the outside.) At the time of my visit, I was told they may be closing the house soon so that some restoration work can be carried out. They said the planned work, once started, will take several years to complete. I gave the site four stars because the structure is in desperate need of that renovation. But it was still worth the visit.
I was wowed standing in a historical house that my 5th great grandfather stood in asking John McLoughlin for advice before he signed the treaty of 1855. And the gift shop left me loving this pic of my 5th great grandma's brother chief Joseph. We truly need to value the history and historical places we have here. They truly are few. I left smiling and felt happy from this piece in our history here. By the way Ancestry DNA is awesome!😁😊 I also discovered that my 4th great grandparents were that indigenous chiefs daughter and a high ranking worker for the Hudson Bay company for John McLoughlin. 😀🙂So wow!
It was a bit of a lackluster National Park. Not my favorite. Historic for Oregon for sure.

The tap list is incredibly vast and everything is brewed by them! I thoroughly enjoyed the SMASHable IPA as well as the soft on the palette Elevator IPA! A wonderful and friendly place to drink delicious beer and listen to the tunes from the record player. I'll be back 🍻
If it could do more stars, I would! I'm pretty picky about my beers... but i got a flight plus 1 and loved all 5 that I tried!! Atmosphere was great! Food trucks had amazing variety. I loved the painted signs about the beers they had too. I will be going back!
Large variety of beer styles on tap. Friendly bar tenders, sample trays available as well. Fresh hop pale and IPA were both pretty good. About 8 or so food carts on site (we tried 3 different ones, all very nice). Indoor and outdoor seating available. Parking can be an issue.
Bought from 3 trucks The one with Tandoori chicken fried rice was the best! It was fast hot fresh different and delicious! Ordered there last and got it first! The Peroshki took forever and was basically like calzone. To heavy to much bread and took 40 min after ordering. Got a blended lemonade, had to wait as no one was there then after ordering took over 20 min for a frozen drink! We wanted to try different things but was only pleased with the first truck Sizzling Tandoori Hut. Super fast super good!
Great selection/variety of beer. Old school vibe but with a twist, there is a pizza window out on the patio but also they have 8 or 9 food carts to choose from. Very nice shaded patio area with fans during the summer or heaters during the winter. Very cool spot.
This is a great stop while traveling through the area. There are multiple options for food from the food carts. They have a great selection of different styles of beer. They have the beers separated into easily identifiable categories for any beer novice. Definitely recommend getting a flight to try different beers!
We had a great time here! There is indoor and outdoor seating (with umbrellas for shade.) So much interesting stuff to look at on the walls, including the extensive beer menu! The staff were funny, friendly, and knowledgeable. Fun retro vibe with the vinyl sound system too! The dining area seemed to be kid friendly as well.
Loved it, absolutely loved it. Wow what a selection of 🍺. All made in house. Have fresh sodas for the kids too. The outdoor patio is a great place to hang with friends and get a bite over great pint. Try the sampler tray, I did and found two I loved. You can take home your favorite brew in a can, which they can right there in front of you or a growler. Food wow great pub food really enjoyed our meal and the drinks. Staff was very friendly and helpful. One more thing, you will be here the sounds of classic vinal records as there music. Great fun place.

I like this park... Ample parking spaces most of the time (I'm sure it can get busy at certain times, just that I've never experienced); Water access is an easy short distance walk from the parking lot; Space to sit is usually enough for multiple groups to recreate comfortably without being directly on top of each other (although this does depend on water levels and the people recreating both in number and behavior). Park is mostly clean (some random litter like plastic drink cups or cigarette butts are discarded inappropriately on the ground instead of taken with them when leaving, but not excessive and is gone when coming back the next afternoon)
Capone and Blaze love this park. They have a great time here. And of course, they have a skate park. Pretty awesome. We didn't have too many skate parks when I was young. Nice to see skaters aren't treated as criminals these days.
Bathrooms were a bit dirty but over all usable grass was green river was beautiful
Free Entrance! There are boat launch! People fish here! There is a playground for kids with public restrooms and a lot of shade. Great place for picnic.
Gorgeous place.. very nice and good for a family
My fiance and I love this place. It gets packed when it’s hot out, but it’s a great place to kayak, fish and swim as long as you mind the current!
My hubby and I enjoy making a quick stop here some mornings before he drops me at work. It's so peaceful to watch the ducks, geese and other birds in the water and the trees in the morning light. It's the perfect start to my day.
Situated at the point where Clackamas River merges into Willamette River (where the name of the park is from!), this park offers beautiful river views along its quiet beaches. Not much else though. Outside the park is a RV park and across the highway is a big shopping center. So the location feels a little bit weird, although for folks who don't drive it is easily accessible through the Clackamas River trail and a 20 minute walk to Oregon City downtown.

This is a beautiful example of art-chitecture . One of many in Oregon City. A must see on the way to the visiting center and falls lookout. It's narrow so pull your mirrors in when crossing I've seen more than one get knocked off by another mirror sticking out. If you found this review to be helpful, please like it.. 👍👍👍👍👍
When it comes to bridges this one is the best! Believe it or not but this one reaches both sides!
Best advice is to walk across and bring your camera. Gateway to the last small town in the greater Portland area and if the falls project goes through soon to become the experience real estate as well. Go now while you can.
The view on the bridge is quite nice and there are elevated shoulders for pedestrians on the bridge. If you bike or run into Oregon city from West Linn, this is the bridge that you will tale. Oregon City downtown is right at the end of the bridge which is very nice and also there is a municipal elevator that takes you up the steep hill.
Use it every day, never fails me! Except when headed south! The "no left turn" signs were not clear and I got a ticket. I politely disagreed that it was not marked clearly, and he wasn't having it. I asked him to go have a look with me and he refused. I saw him cirlce back to sneek a peek. Low and behold, a month later there were 3 new signs posted.
Frequently cross this gorgeous bridge and it has fantastic views of the Willamette River and the Locks.
Moving closer to this river view guarantees natural mental wealth.
Love it. It's so beautiful to walk across on a sunny day.

First time subscriber this year. I will definitely be returning next year! Both shows have been amazing and one more to come. A lovely theater space too. Excellent productions. You will be impressed!
This is a great theater. The stage is at the bottom of the stadium seating that surrounds it across half the stage. The way it is set up, you walk along (and to some degree through) the stage itself to get to your seats, giving you a close up of the stage. Wheel chair accessible seating is available, as well as some seating at the stage level that avoids any stairs. Update: We've gone back several times, and it's still a great theater. Excellent performances on an excellent stage with above average seating.
This was our first show at Clackamas Rep. We signed up to get season tickets for next year. Dial M for Murder. Great show. Very comfortable theater with no bad seats.
I was highly entertained. Surprisingly good show from the past brought to the now(ish). Engaging and simply done with no big sets and well acted.
Always enjoy their plays. Very professional. Recommend becoming a season ticket holder

You’ll hardly believe you’re in Oregon when strolling the grounds of Villa Catalana Cellars. It feels like you’ve been transported to a European chateau, where every corner invites you to slow down and savor the experience. The owners' passion for rare plants is evident throughout the lush, curated landscape—a true delight for plant lovers. The Dinners in the Field event was exceptional, and wine tasting here is always a pleasure, thanks to the enchanting ambiance. A quick tip: wear flat shoes! The grounds feature uneven surfaces and a gravel hill leading up from the parking area, making comfortable footwear a must for exploring.
Villa Catalana Winery is a true gem! From the moment I stepped onto the property, I was transported straight to Italy. The ambiance is so charming, with its Mediterranean-inspired architecture and lush, picturesque surroundings. The wine tasting experience was top-notch, with a great selection of wines.
I can't decide which was more stunning at this hidden gem. The lovely stone architecture or the gorgeous gardens and surrounding walkways. Lime and olive trees, eucalyptus, cactus, and so many flowers, vines and bushes. My husband and I felt like we stepped into a countryside winery in Spain or Italy. The Pinots, Sauvignon Blanc were delicious and we even lucked out by going on a day when there was an opera singer sharing her voice with the crowd. $15 a person for 6 generous tastes is unheard of these days!!! Tastings are offered only on Saturdays from 1-4 pm, and they require a reservation. You can bring your own food/picnic. We really enjoyed learning about the owners' journey and how they built this must see paradise tucked away in Oregon City. I will be going back many more times and bringing friends!
As a Portland Engagement Photographer I absolutely LOVE Villa Catalana for sessions. No matter if it's an engagement session, wedding or family session, this venue has it all. The staff is super friendly and professional. The grounds of the property as always well maintained and the greenhouse is the perfect spot for when it rains.
This place is absolutely gorgeous but the wine tasting experience was not what I expected. We reserved a time slot for wine tasting at 3pm but did not realize you have to wait in a line to get each one. They also close at 4pm so we were rushing in order to get through the tasting before they closed. Once you find an open table you have to walk back to get wine, walk back to your table, then the tastings are so small you take a couple sips then have to walk back to get the next one. Sure you can buy a bottle of wine but I wanted to try them all before I chose one. I also didn't want to just go through the line, drink it, and get back in it. I wanted to sip it somewhere pretty. By the time we got through the tasting it was almost closing time so I didn't bother getting a bottle. The way the wine tasting is set up just doesn't make for a very relaxing experience. They should give you small flights to take to your table so you aren't running back and forth the entire time. That would have made the experience much more enjoyable. It was lovely exploring the grounds. I just wish it was more of a relaxing experience.
This stunning location is perfect for photos, and the wine tasting experience is only $15—definitely worth it!
The garden is nicely decorated. Great scenery and great wine! We had $55 wine tasting and we walked around the garden with our glasses to enjoy the weather! The only food they offer here is pizza (boxed), we think it would be good if they can provide cheese or dessert, which is a little pitted…
Great place to visit, try different 🍷 . Great to walk around.

We got married here this September and loved every bit of it. So grateful for the support and help provided by everyone here! 10/10 would do it again.
Such a lovely and peaceful venue. The Pioneer Church is surrounded by tall green trees, and the whole atmosphere feels inspiring and calm. We had the pleasure of working here as florists in September 2025, and it was a joy to be part of this space. Truly a hidden gem in nature, perfect for meaningful gatherings. With love, Kvetka Flower
Wonderfully preserved cabin next to an equally wonderful church. Check website for any interior tours, but I went when no one was there, the buildings were shut, but things to see were still plentiful. There is a gravel road that leads to the cabin, but it was gated off. This was the only wheelchair accessible way to see the cabin, however, it's only a short stroll through the lawn from the free parking lot.
Historical Park. Perfect for a short, reflective visit, where the old time of early settlers will speak to you.
Absolutely best choice for a venue, zero regrets!!! It made for stunning photos, the size of the church is perfect for an intimate wedding or elopement. We had 30 people very comfortably in the Church. Communication was wonderful and everyone was extremely accommodating, we ended up staying past our time slot taking pictures and we felt no rush from staff to leave, they were so kind! The attention to detail here was just darling, the dressing room is so sweetly set up and everything is very thoughtful. I asked them if it was possible not to mow before our wedding to keep the flowers in the field and they did which was so kind of them. We had plenty of parking for 30 people as well, but do note it's a only a porta potty. We didn't have our reception here we had it at my family's event barn, but the ceremony was terrific here and i'd do it over 100 times. The price was also outstanding for the beauty of the venue. My only complaint is the road it a little loud but it's not the end of the world, we had people honking and waving while taking pictures and lined up but i thought it was sweet, to each their own.
My mother, Sharon Hall , ( Clark, Bostick ) was born in Burke South Dakota in 1941. When she was around 11 or 12 yrs old the family moved to Oregon and they lived in the Baker Cabin for awhile. Years later in 1983 I and my husband James Bostick Jr were married in the little white church that sets at the entrance to the cabin. So the whole place is special to me.
Cool site with local history. Cabin has a unique cantilever design.
Fabulous historical site. Very informative and interesting.

This house is incredible! This woman knew what she wanted in a house and she got it. Love all the wood work and amazing preservation of everything in it! Fridge! Pantry! Laundry chute! Highly recommend!
“Stevens Crawford Heritage House is a hidden gem that brings Oregon’s rich history to life. Every room is beautifully preserved, filled with authentic antiques and fascinating details that transport you back in time. The knowledgeable staff and volunteers make the experience even better, sharing stories and historical insights with genuine passion. The house itself is stunning, and each artifact seems to have its own story, making for a captivating visit. A must-see for history buffs or anyone wanting to learn more about Oregon’s past!
Self guided house tour, and what a beautiful old home it is! We were able to take our time and really look at all the wondeful historic details, and we had the small garden/backyard to ourselves afterwards. When we purchased tickets, we were told it also gets us into the museum of the oregon territory and that it was good for 30 days. We didn't have time that day, so we took advantage of it about two weeks later. It's a great deal!
It says he had the largest collection of artifacts and was even acknowledged by the Smithsonian. Although, there are no artifacts on display at this location......Even though there is more than one place in the house and online that mentions his “massive collection“.
Recently refurbished and it looks amazing. Its like stepping back in time to the early 1900s. A must see if you love old homes. This house has been preserved exquisitely.
Interesting look into the past! Friendly and knowledgeable staff.
An original 1908 Foursquare architectural house with walk in closets! The home has been preserved and truly worth visiting. Tour guides' Nadine and Joyce are extremely knowledgeable, dedicated and sincere. Tours run every hour starting at noon.
We had a nice time here today.

Amidst the woodland, deep and wide, Where towering trees in grace abide, A path doth wind through verdant halls, Where nature whispers, sings, and calls. A place of peace, so rich, so bright, With golden beams and emerald light, It stretches far, a trail so grand, A painted work by heaven’s hand. Here once I walked in toil’s embrace, Yet beauty marked my labor’s place. And years ere now, with love’s delight, A wedding shone in golden light. The forest stood, a noble stage, For vows of love that time shan’t age. With canopies both green and tall, It framed the fairest scene of all. For those who seek a spot divine, Where love and nature intertwine, Where moments still in time do stay, Let Hopkins be thy grand display. I found this place so peaceful and full of life, unlike many other trails. It stretches for hours, offering a perfect retreat into nature. As a wedding and engagement photographer in the Portland and Seattle areas, I captured an incredible wedding here, and its beauty remains unmatched. With its towering trees, scenic landscapes, and serene ambiance, Hopkins Demonstration Forest is a hidden gem for weddings, elopements, and engagement sessions. It’s also an excellent location for booktube photoshoots and cinematic portraits, making it a dream for photographers and content creators alike. I simply couldn’t resist turning my experience into a poem to capture the magic of this place!
5 miles of trails. We hiked many of the trails while our kids had an Outdoor School program there. They had fun with their activities, and we had fun hiking with our dog.
So, I guess HDF decided to be sellouts and plaster “Forests Forever, Inc.” anywhere you could possibly imagine. That’s a four-star move at worst, but what really kills it is the obvious effects of this commercialization in the past few months; I’m seeing paved roads now, which is never a good sign. Two stars just for the implications, though I’ll hold off from handing out a one-star rating as long as this place isn’t filled with hikers every day. Nature’s beauty can’t do all the heavy lifting to save this place, as that’s unfortunately a burden carried by the humans. The ironic part is, the less you do, the better; nature already had itself sorted out here and now "Forests Forever, Inc." is over-complicating this forest.
Just out for a drive after church on Sunday and have seen the sign on the road many times pointing the way to this place. So I mysteriously turned off the road and meandered down the road to the preserve. Of course on Memorial Day Weekend all of the buildings were shuttered but the roads and trails were open. Everything appeared very clean and orderly all the buildings were natural and fit in well with the environment. I am mobility challenged so have to pay attention to that. The buildings all appeared to have easy access and handicap parking. I did drive up to one of the lodges next to a fire watch tower and walked over to a magnificent territorial view of Douglas Fir with Loud birdsong. So I just sat and soaked up the beauty for a time. I will review the website and offerings and consider attempting some trail hiking with the utilization of a walker if the trails are all without obstacles such as roots, rocks etc. as a former hiker this may be what I am looking for
Found this place on a drive with a friend and went to check it out. Very cool, really educational, nice walk in the woods and learned some things.
Nice secluded nature walk with several trails. Several BSA projects donated to the forest.
I took the middle school that I work at here for a field trip. It was absolutely phenomenal. There are 140 acres of forestry center that is set up as an educational opportunity that anyone can visit. They have a wonderful facility. The trails are easy to access and take you through lots of Pacific Northwest forest. The bathrooms up top are very nice and there are outhouses on the trails. There's an obstacle course, very old cabin, a fire tower, and lots of other really neat activities. This is a great place for families and schools and anyone else that just wants to enjoy some time outside.
We rented out Everett Hall and it was great for our event. The hall has great facilities, sound system, and kitchen. It's easily accessible and the staff there is so easy to work with. The hall itself is great and our event went off without an issues. This is a hidden gem.

This place was alot of fun. I highly recommend it. They had a good band playing while some friends and I threw axs. They showed us the basics and gave really good instructions. If they noticed a problem they would help you try and correct it. I also asked about learning trick shots and they were more then happy to show me how.
I've been wanting to try this place for a while. I would come back for the ambience. Great outdoor feel and seating. Bar, patio, stage, axe throwing etc. The BBQ ribs were really good. I like Boneyard IPA better than the house personally. I got the meat sampler appetizer and thought the chili was OK and the turkey leg was dry. I would come back to sit outside with a group.
Came here to do axe throwing and was really excited about it. First impressions were quite disappointing though, as we had trouble finding parking in their unpaved and poorly signed parking lot, then further trouble figuring out where the door was. This wouldn't necessarily be a huge hassle, but the place is between two junk yard properties so we weren't thrilled to be wandering around that area, not knowing where to go. The atmosphere is your basic garage brewery, which is fine but you'll get pretty basic service too. We stood at the bar (as one of the only three people there) and had to wait several minutes for the bar tender to acknowledge us. All subsequent bar trips had the same problem, with the barman choosing to answer phones in the middle of taking our order or chatting with other customers. Axe throwing and the beers were definitely the best part of our night! Probably even saved the evening entirely. Warning: the women's bathroom shares a wall with axe targets. You might get quite a surprise while you're doing your business as someone hurls an axe at the wall next to you!
I love this place. Great local brewery with incredible beers and now serving delicious smoked snacks. Happy hour 3-6.
This is a working class style Irish pub set in a scarcely converted industrial workshop. The food and beer are good, my guy thought the axe throwing was fun, but the environment is rough, y'all. Dusty, raw (in a sloppy, unfinished way), almost killed myself going up and down the makeshift uneven stairs. Parking is scarce, the area is in a bed of dirt, and an immediate neighbor chased off my partner with a rake. There is no a/c or decent fans and it's hot as h311. If that doesn't intimidate you, perhaps the prices will. Expect to pay at least as much (or probably more) as a trendy pub in an expensive Portland neighborhood ($14 sandwiches and $7-8 pints), and if you enjoy peeing on a rickety toilet in a dirty workshop while axes are impacting the other side of the wall next to you at high velocity, you might find value in the experience.
Super fun spot. Axe throwing, bonfires, great food and stellar pour selection. Definitely a great place to hang out with a group of friends or family.
Great venue with an ax throwing rooms and leagues here along with good beer.
Stack wagon is the best band. This tavern joint has the best live music.
