Fair amount of parking, huge walking area at high or low tide. (Better at low tide to see starfish clinging to the bottoms of the rock formations). TWO wizard hat shaped rocks. Great view from the parking lot if you can’t go down the stairs. The sand was firm here which is easier for walking on. Kid friendly and dog friendly. There was a bathroom at this parking lot but I didn’t use it.
This is a nice viewpoint. Stopped here on my way back to coos Bay. Really appreciate the restrooms here. They were nice and clean and very new and updated. The parking lot looked like it was freshly striped. If there wasn't as much wind, this would been a far more enjoyable. View stop for us but with two little ones under two there really wasn't much opportunity to take in the fuse. There's lots to see here and apparently a trail that leads down to the beach. As you can see, there's even some horseback riding that goes through this area which in and of itself is impressive. I love to come back and revisit this place when there's less wind. It's definitely worth checking out if you have not been there yourself
We were there on a perfect sunny day with the tide out so we could venture into the rock and check out the tide pools. Sea Stars, Sea Anemones, Crabs 🦀 and more.
Great little beach area with some explorable sea caves. You can avoid getting wet in the caves if you come during low tide. The beach can be quite cold and foggy, be sure to bring footwear equipped for sand as well. Don't forget your sunscreen!
Very scenic place with lots of neat rocks/boulders. Neat time to visit is during low tide so you can wander around the base of the rocks and see sea life in the tide pools
This was so cool once it was explained to me which rock it was. It's the white colored rock in the back. Envision the left part as a forehead. It will look like a head tilted toward the sky. Maybe it should be called Head Rock.
One of our favorite viewpoints along the Oregon coast. Yes, it does look like the head of someone floating in the water! Lots of other striking rock formations here too.
Absolutely beautiful night before King Tides it's getting restless.

I absolutely love it here! ❤️ I have been visiting here since I was young and finally made the trip with my own little ones, my siblings, and parents! It was such a wonderful trip. The kids absolutely loved interacting with all the animals. Especially getting to pet the big cats & small critters. Of course the goats roaming around were a big hit as well for my kids!
Visiting from WA for a road trip, Pretty cool place to visit a bunch of different animals & interact with them. You can buy food to feed them but it can get a lil overwhelming with them surrounding you especially for kids but it's fun They brought out the baby camel and some type of cubs that were just born. Mostly every exhibit had something in it. More than what I thought there would be Be prepared to step on pebbles of poop everywhere from all the roaming animals haha
Lots of deer and straight haired sheep (looked like goats to me) that follow you around for food handouts. Our timing wasn't great as the big cat handler wasn't available. We got to pet a baby camel (2 months old), a fox, chickens, goats, and big rodent (don't recall the name). Yes, you'll get poop on your shoes, which should be expected.
It was fun. Animals were happy and friendly staff was well educated on Animals and the lady in charge was amazing cool gift shops the deer and goats come right to you and we got to pet a few Animals.
Front desk was very short with us and very rude. Wasn’t a ton of people there but the “viewing” of the baby bear and jaguar was very frustrating. There is a large obvious zigzag chain line and everyone is supposed to move through so people in the back of the line can get a chance to see and take pictures as well. The keeper doing the show didn’t seem to care that there was kids in line that didn’t get to watch or see and all the rude parents didn’t bother to move and keep the line moving. The big cats looked very “rough”. I’m not an expert by all means but the tiger was throwing up and most the others looked very lethargic. The cages are very small. The free range animals including deer, goats, sheep, chickens, alpacas and more were fun for the kids to see and touch up close. For my family to go it was $129, I don’t think I’ll be coming back just for my kids to experience a petting zoo. Edit 5/20/25: Seeing the recent news about the raid, I found it odd I gave 2 stars to begin with. I always had bad vibes about this place and even asked Portland zoo where I could complain, as the animals seemed to not be in good health or conditions. Very sad to see these animals suffer and die, I hope the responsible parties are held accountable and get what they deserve.
This place is so cool! Animals walk right up to you and are very friendly. Great place for kids. Just wear some shoes you don’t mind getting dirty because there’s some poop and mud, a small price to pay for such a fun experience
A must stop off Hwy 101. Staff Is fantastic- friendly-Awesome. George the Chimpanzee is my friend of over 12 years. Lucifer the Black Jaguar recognizes my daughter. Great opportunity to pet animals.
Besides having to pay more because the website is wrong and they can't change the price because they don't own it, it was fun. We had a good time. I like that you can see the animals at a closer distance than at the zoo and have the interaction with the roaming animals. The combination makes it a fun experience. Really should honor the price on the website though, until they can fix it.

This is a cute little lighthouse. It was open with a small gift shop inside. There is a small trail along beach that wraps around to parking area. Yons of driftwood lining the trail. Lots of places to get to beach
Interesting bit of local history but if you expect to see anything but empty old lighthouse you will be disappointed. The circular stars to the tower are closed as we were told they are unsafe. The room that held the fog horn and equipment to produce steam is now a small museum . Very nice volunteer staff who answered questions. Some photos of when it had been surrounded by water or was in use would have improved the experience.
Loved this scenic and historic stop on our day trip! The gift shop was quaint and the shopkeepers were super friendly and lighthearted.
Short walk from the parking area to the lighthouse, which was open at the time, and contains a gift shop. Cute lighthouse with waves lapping at the rocks below. Though the lighthouses have been made obsolete by GPS they are a treasure to be protected for future generations! Make the visit while you still can! There are vault toilets and picnic tables at the parking area. Beach with a ton of driftwood near by and a jetty you can walk out on, just use caution, we made it about halfway down before I got too nervous to continue. We will come back!
Fun place to stop and visit. Great park at the front with plenty of trails. The jetty is nice to walk out on and enjoy the ocean. Lighthouse was closed for the winter months.
Fun weekday visit! Scenic setting with friendly volunteer staff. Free admission but donations were welcomed.
Love seeing the Oregon coast light houses! Really awesome part of history. Right on the jetty which on a calm day you can walk all the way out on and right by the best beach in Bandon.
Such a beautiful walk. We walked all around the lighthouse and nearby paths. Weather was perfect!

Nice state campground with sites with decent space, good showers and flush toilets. Not all sites have dump for full hook up. Power poles are lighted which is nice. Friendly rangers and hosts. Firewood for sale with point of sale machines to buy it with cards. C28 has a lot of shade.
Beeeeautiful!! There are fossil rocks there. The tide pools are wonderful Just amazing views. Nothing disappoints.
We enjoy visiting this park when we are camping on the coast. The staff and volunteers can't be beat, and the facilities are clean. If I had to be critical, I'd say the sites are very close to each other and if you want water, electric, AND sewer hookups you have to be very careful when choosing your site on the website. The dump station is handy if you don't. Lots of hiking and bike riding, as well as a gorgeous beach and lighthouse.
This campground was very well-maintained and had decent privacy in most of the campsites. Bathrooms we well maintained, clean and definitely have been updated or recently. Handicap restroom and shower were also available in each of the restroom/shower buildings. Some sides appear to have better accessibility with pavement around the fire pit instead of just dirt and grass. There was some boat parking at the front of the campground – probably something that needs to be reserved ahead of time. There were several Yurts that would be great for people who do not want to deal with a tent or camper available also. A loop was more open with less privacy between the campsites. B Loop and C loop had lots of different good site options. The campground provided different information or educational programs each day. There is a permanent cornhole game that is set up, but you have to bring your own beanbags. Beach access was not as great as we hoped. It was about a mile to the beach from the campsite. There was good parking if people wanted to drive. We found most of the week the beach was extremely windy the point straight out from the campground. We went across the river to the beach near Bandon and felt like it was more sheltered. The town of Bandon was very fun to visit. Tony’s crab shack had great food and even a pet crab named Walter, who was friendly! Overall, a fun experience, just not a big fan of all the wind, but on the Oregon coast, you kinda have to expect that.
Sunset is beautiful here. It is extremely windy and cold so make sure to layer up. But definitely a must visit beach.
Great little walk through a pretty cool little forest out onto a gorgeous beach!
Great place to camp, shop, hike along the beach. Nice cool weather at beginning of September. Cranberry festival soon. Good fish cafes. Enjoyed very much.
I went to view the King Tide happening that weekend. No King Tide, but a beautiful sunset was a satisfying trade! The lighthouse is nice and close for great photos, too. There's plenty of parking, beach access, and bathrooms.

This place is great for agate hunting. There is tons. This last time we visited there were a bunch of seals. We highly recommend this beach. Very scenic and great for pictures.
If you have the opportunity to watch a sunset here it is a must see! Absolutely breathtaking!
Beautiful paradise! Don't miss a walk on the beach. A hundred steps down from the parking area.
Gorgeous! Great spot to stroll down the beach! Awesome tide pools @ low tide!!
Crazy cold and windy but worth the view. Lots of driftwood to crawl over to get to the beach. The lighthouse is locked, but nice to walk to.
This is a good sight seeing place. But the bathrooms, water fountains, etc.. are not maintained as well as the other parks in Bandon. Plenty of parking.
Nice place to see the bay and ocean. Older restroom and all gravel. Lots of parking space and big enough for RV
Free parking, clean bathrooms, and the beach is beautiful! Filled with such a variety of rocks, I could easily spend days sitting there collecting buckets of beautifully unique rocks for my collection! Further down the beach, the rocks fade to soft sand for a lovely walk.

This gallery really gives me hope in humanity that we can be creative to find trash that humans throw in the ocean and make strong statements about it.
My husband and I were driving home from Gold beach and looking for something interesting to do on the way home and I found this place. Let me tell you this was right up our alley. If you are anywhere near this area it is a must stop, they have an indoor seafood market, a coffee shop, spices from local places and a farmers market (that day was plant starts) The main reason we stopped was to see the art work and it was beyond amazing!! All the sculptures are made out of the plastic that has been washed ashore. Just don't forget to look up.
I was very impressed by their ability and artistic vision. They utilize trash derived from the sea, all of humanities detritus, junk and cast-off's to make some really cool sculptures. Unfortunately, during the SARS-CoV-2, they were closed but the outside exhibit was still fun and reasonably well attended.
unusual art and good cause for ecological awareness
This unique art exhibit is free to visit. They take trash found all around Oregon's coast and recycle it into art. Its "sadly beautiful". There are signs for each of the pieces to raise awareness on how individual species are affected by the trash in the sea. It's all done though volunteer work and you can help them by creating pieces for their next exhibit. A great place to take kids for the interaction and education.
Such incredible art. This is art with a purpose. They take trash that has washed ashore and turn it into incredible pieces. The greeter was very friendly and informative. No charge to enter. They have a small gift shop that sells repurposed plastics. You can sign up for a volunteer workshop and become a part of the solution. Visit their website for info.
Washed Ashore is an artist that takes garbage, plastics, anything found on the local beaches and turns it in to art...jelly fish, puffin bird, sea horse, sword fish, etc. It's was hard to find the gallery. So look for the Sea food market and there's a warehouse looking building there with a lot of different local artists. It's must see
Beautiful sculptures made from plastic waste cleaned up from beaches locally. Also very sobering and depressing. Really has me rethinking plastic use. Very informative on what and where the waste comes from and actually proposes realistic alternatives to plastics. A must see!

We came here during high tide, luckily we got to see a tide pool, sea lions resting in a cove, splashing waves and so manycothers. I've always wanted to see Bandon and glad we did on our 1st trip to Oregon.
Beautiful walk about. Wish there was a restroom.
A lot of dead logs and driftwood pushed to the top corners of the beach. Elephant Rock dominates the landscape. The fog rolled in so fast that it gave a magical surreal feel to the beach below.
I LOVE the Pacific. And this must be one of the most beautiful places on the Pacific coast of the U.S. I feel lucky to come from Denmark and to stumble on this gem by coincidence. It is definitely not the last time I go there ...
Definitely walk down the stairs and set your feet on the beach its well worth it. Its another part of Bandon Beach but further up north. It doesn't have much dry sand so its more for walking around.
So beautiful! Loved walking on the beach! Able to walk a very long stretch...love the stairs going down as well! Nicely spaced with good hand rails and spots to stop and rest
Such an amazing place!!!! So in love with it. The view is beautiful, it’s like a piece of heaven. I love Oregon Coast💙🌊

We have been regular visitors to Bandon for 20 years. We finally checked out this museum. This place was chock full of great history and learned so much. What a gem!
So much to see and learn about Bandon. Staff informative and pleasant.
Worth your time to visit and explore! We loved this museum. So many things to enjoy. The staff was so friendly and helpful. They provided so much additional information that made the exhibits even more interesting.
Our second time there. We love it & can easily spend 3 hours there, although 1 hour is still mesmerizing. Best historical museum in Oregon!
So much information from the start of Bandon to today's events. There is a wide range if historical information on the fires, military and founding but other great things such as daily life including highschool and day to day items. Would totally recommend and on Sunday it is free in the summer!
Museum was awesome! Please was packed full of history! We just loved it. Must stop!
I really enjoyed this museum. So much history of individuals from the community. It was all put together very well.

A beautifully curated gallery of artwork by a different variety of artists. Great selection of different styles of paintings, sculpture, pottery and clothing.
While golfing at BANDON Dunes in July , 2025 I visited Second Street Gallery shopping for a gift for my wife . What an impressive gallery! My wife and I had 2 retail stores in a southern Delaware beach resort for over 40 years . We imported a lot of our clothing and jewelry from Latin America and Southeast Asia . In the process of traveling the world for over 3 decades , we became collectors of fine handicrafts and artwork . I entered Second Street looking jor a single gift for my wife . I left with a pendant featuring the finest sterling wire work I’ve ever seen , as well as a vase and a pair of soap dispensers. My only regret is that I didn’t buy a second vase . The Second Street Gallery is a world class and specializes in local handicrafts . . Carrie , the owner , is an absolute pleasure to work with and offers wonderful customer service . Her packing and shipping services are beyond reproach. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE SECOND STREET GALLERY IN BANDON , OREGON
A beautiful mix of fine art and quality local craft. My favorite gallery on the coast of Oregon.
I love this gallery and Carrie the owner. What an amazing display of art and more. This is one of my favorite galleries on the Oregon Coast. This gallery stands above many. Great great display of various local Artist and jewerly.
My favorite gallery in Oregon and store in Old Town Bandon. They have expanded since I was there last, so there's even more breathtaking handcrafted art, unique greeting cards and wonderful jewelry...plenty to select something to commemerate a trip to the coasts
I was truly impressed with the range of absolutely stunning artwork in this gallery. At the time of my visit, I was traveling and had no room for anything extra in my vehicle or I would have purchased so many things there. Such beautiful items that will accommodate any budget. Super friendly staff. I was able to roam around at my leisure and when I had questions, the staff was a wealth of knowledge. Thank you for a very memorable experience. I enjoyed my visit immensely and can't wait to visit again.
Local artists, and wonderful staff who can tell you a lot about the artists they host. My only wish is that they carried more post card sized prints, so I could take home more artwork. Absolutely beautiful, like a little museum full of wonders.
Very wonderful staff🙌 I love how much art there really is to see and buy! Endless choices of fantastic art and creation! Bigger than most places as far as size of the Gallery!

First time to this beach & I love it! If you are a rockhound, this is a great spot. Or looking for driftwood or gold. Parking lot is very small and no cell service. Driving onto sand has a drop off, but it's doable. Met some friendly people and there were kite surfers. Not overly crowded but lots of traffic while I was there for 3 hours.
Such a beautiful beach not sure if it was just the time of the year but the only down side was it was super super windy other then that they are some really cool rocks you can find here and not only is it easy access too get to I believe you can also drive your vehicles on the beach if your vehicle allows it would like to see it when the tide is at its lowest
We have lived in Bandon now for 3 years. We Moved here with our two young pups. The First two years we were able to Live About two miles from the Whiskey Run Beach access parking area. When We Had Visited our potential New Location, we Had been Staying in Florence at the time. The drive was Very Easy * for HWY101*, When We where Talking with our Possible new Landlord, He had Given us A few Recommendations for Good Dining, How to get down to The Beach access road. We were very Happy With the property, Left With Antsy Hope That we Might be Picked to Live there.
One of my favorite beaches here on the oregon coast. Out of the way for sure. Sometimes there is a few people or cars(you can drive on it) but generally pretty mellow. Some agates and shells can be found so keep an eye out.
Nice beach with motor vehicle access and lots of driftwood for forts but more importantly bonfires
Great beach, finally found my first whole sand dollar on the beach after 2 years of going to the beach, one of the only you can legally drive on, I think it is a must to have 4 wheel drive, getting on and off beach sand is pretty deep, had to pull one out so people could get off and on, lots of wind, lots of Para sailing going on, will definitely going back
Wonderful place to be a rock hound or just enjoy walking the beach ⛱️. Interesting place to enjoy yourself alone or with a friend or loved one ☺️

Great art gallery with a big selection from local artists. Helpful staff were very pleasant.
My husband and I purchased a beautiful, seaside pastel oil painting and absolutely love it! Lovely, customer-friendly shop with a wide variety of artwork, including paintings, collages, ceramics and more! Very helpful owners. A Bandon must!
22 local Artists share a Gallery in Bandon,Oregon. Art by the Sea. There are individual art works to choose from. The price on many of the works are extremely reasonable. Staff share the working days in the gallery We met two of the artists which werel Informative and pleasant to work with both sharing bits and piece on the history of Bandon. We both were impressed with the works of Art and their cooperative management success. We purchased three items all cut from gords one a fish and the other two into fun, loving, delightful birds. I just might order the lonely one we left on the wall. So if you are planning on going down H-way 101 South . Do try on stopping in Bandon, Oregon . There are great selections of resturants many heart warming shops four art Gallerirsnd cozy bars. Also if your planning on spending the night there is a wonderful, dog friendly, motel on the top of the hill overlooking the Jetty and beach. Everything is within walking distance even in our windy Oregon rain.
The artist, Earl, that helped us today was as lovely as could be. The shop has 24 featured artists and their work was beautiful!
Great art work to admire and walk through. The prices are relatively high and the sales person was not responsive when we considered to buy a piece of art.
Very nice little local art gallery, worth a visit! They're very friendly and they have some good art.
It's a nice place if you want to buy art but it was not for me.
When we travel we always seek ways to support local arts and artists and Arts by the Sea gave us copious opportunities to do so! Wonderful collections in various media highlighting local artists. Everyone has a blank wall in their home (or soul..) that could benefit from a well placed object of art in it!

Beautiful one of a kind blown glass pieces made right on the premises at reasonable prices for the museum quality type artwork. Perfect place to find wedding or special occasion gifts, unique lamps and award winning ornaments.
Love this place and have purchased a few pieces through the years. Lately seems like it’s not open much and it doesn’t match Google times. Call before you go.
Amazing blown glass that looks more sophisticated and classy than you typically see. Also had a great experience watching Bryce and his helper complete 3 pieces. Purchased 4 myself. Overall excellent 1 of a kind experience.
Stopped here on my way north. Such beautiful glass. Bryce, the owner is super friendly. Will also give you suggestions on places to go and see in and around the area. He's going to start doing a YouTube channel soon so you'll be able to watch him create his beautiful art pieces no matter where you are. It's definitely worth a stop to see the glass in person. Just gorgeous.
Stunning artwork. I bought a beautiful vase and an infinity ball. The owners are so nice and offered to let my nephew watch the glass blowing process on site. I plan to go back and get another vase and Christmas ornament.
Excellent glassworks artist. Really beautiful work. Small store along highway.
I was "blown away" by the quality of the glass on display here! The prices that he had were extremely affordable, even for things that obviously took a lot of talent, material, and time. The artist was on site and very approachable, was willing to share tips and even gave me his old man ribbon burner to start my own forge as we talked. I had not budgeted anything for glass blown items, but I simply couldn't walk away without purchasing something, neither could my 12-year-old daughter. I purchased the one photoed on the left for $55, my daughter bought the one on the right for $25.
Loved this little store! Very nice, creative art glass. Friendly couple and reasonable prices. Pictured is the cool, clear glass wall vase I purchased. So happy with it and will remember our 60th anniversary trip every time I look at it.

Rocky beach fronting onto the ocean with a light beacon emitting a hooting noise in fog.

A very interesting and intricate maze that if followed on the day we walked was 1 mile in length. The volunteers create the maze at low tide and hundreds show up to watch and walk. Once the tide comes in the maze is washed away to have another different one created another day.
This was an amazing meditative experience as I volunteered to help "draw the circles". Before the start of the walk, 'Bear' as he is fondly called, the person who started this 11 years ago, talked about the events in his life that started him to draw these circles in the sand. The theme of these practice is LOVE - share love and show love to everyone you meet. It takes about 30 minutes to completely finish the 'walk'. It's a wonderful touch that they have you pick your 'dream stone' when you start your walk. The circles are erased when the tide comes in showing you that nothing is permanent in life, just be in the present.
Awesome! Arrived hours late but got to see about half of the day’s pattern remaining. Definitely want to come back on time sometime and spend a few hours!
This experience was not only visually beautiful but also a wonderful experience for the mind and soul. As you walk the labyrinth, at every turn you pass artful messages/drawings in the sand and items from the ocean that are gentle reminders of our connection to the ocean life.
On a beautiful windblown morning, we happened upon the "circle people" and loved the work they had done. What a wonderful way to celebrate this beautiful place in a low-impact way! I'd definitely join this group if I lived in the area!! 😍
Lots of fun. Super pretty. There is very little parking so the free shuttle from the community center was great! You do need to go down (and then up) several flights of stairs.
Very nice beach but no circles in the sand. It must have been temporary event
A lovely place to stop along the Oregon coast and see some art at the beach. The drawings are pretty amazing and you can see them from the viewpoint above as well as up close and personal. They give you little rocks that you can keep as souvenirs and you can explore the beach at your leisure. Very unique and cool place to see!! Highly recommend!!
