Wonderful!! So relaxing, next to windjammers restaurant. The parking attendant asked if we were here for the beach, $20 parking , or Windjammers, $ Free, umm say less! “Windjammers please!” So I got a delicious hot, buttered lobster roll. My husband got I don’t remember something spicy and then we got crab puffs… Food was great. The view was amazing! Beware of the seagulls they are ruthless! So then we just walked right over to the beach, which had very soft sand. It wasn’t crowded and this was on a Sunday. It was wonderful. My husband kept finding these cute little shellless crab things, and was having a great time finding them and putting them back in the water, we forgot to bring a pail and shovel, and my husband didn’t want to stop at the store, (Benny’s, my usual spot, has closed down 😞) as not to take up our beaching time. And lo and behold, someone has left a pail and two shovels by the trashcan in the parking lot! Bonus! I brought it over to my four-year-old and he was thrilled. We made Sandcastles and my husband used the bucket to collect his new little friends. No lifeguard, but it didn’t feel dangerous at all. Definitely going back!
Beautiful views with an extremely nostalgic-feeling boardwalk. Reminds me of the boardwalk scene in the movie Big. It was pretty quiet when I came here, so I honestly don’t know if they are overrun in the summer. But it sure is a peaceful stop during the fall months.
We love Ocean Beach!! Easy parking, clean beach, amusement park for the kiddos, park, pool, and a super awesome swimming hole for catching crabs!! We come twice a year at least. It's 30$ a car to get in, but it is so worth it!
A clean beach to enjoy. Enough parking. There is a small amusement park for kids. Waterpark seems to be closed. Fee is 20$ after 6 pm.
The water was full of dirt / seaweed and very cold until after a few lapse the cold goes away so long as you in the water. Wish It were cleaner and less rocky. The tiny rocks hurt my feet and the sand worked against me in terms of gravity. Ill find a cleaner one next time. The bathrooms were far off yet VERY CLEAN with someone constantly maintaining it. One of the 2 showers weren't working so we had to wait our turn and this made me catch a cold as I was freezing. The kids caught a cold too. It wasn't a great time. They had life guards too which was a great addition. As a mom who is not a great swimmer, knowing there are life guards gives me a tiny bit of hope for eventuality but I still Caution my daughters not to go too far. To stay where I can reach them if I need an emergency rescue. You can definitely go n sit around. They have an entire kids area like an amusement park.
This is our families favorite CT beach! We love the boardwalk, ice cream shop and water slides. The beach is much cleaner and less rocky/broken shell-y than other CT beaches. I wish they banned smoking/vapping and enforced it though- it's my only complaint.
Clean water...lifeguards on duty. Unfortunately the last 2 yrs alot of F-bombs and LOUD BOOM BOXES with huge personal sound systems dominate the beach now. Used to be safe..semi-quiet with giggles from children..clean sight to the ocean..ALL age groups. NOW sift your fingers thru cigarette butts and bottle caps. Disgusting. Sorry not worth $180/year for parking -no $ break for nonresident seniors. I miss our beach!!!!! PARKING WILL GO UP. Daily parking is outrageous . Was great until it wasn't. Privately owned. It's supposed to be a Public Beach . Read the history outsourced for Management. $30 weekday parking.. $40 for weekend and $50 holidays. Sorry not worth it. There are other beaches just as nice that don't rob you. I've been coming for more than 20 years. Two weeks ago there was a violent confrontation on the boardwalk. How can you relax? Not enough food venues or choices. You would the think more visitors.. more money.. better bathrooms and choices. Nope and there are riptides so WATCH YOUR CHILDREN!!
$30 parking fee for weekdays and $40 for weekends. We went on weekday afternoon and it was not too busy. Water slide was not open yet. Amusement park rides are very old but cute. Great for young kids. Boardwalk was nice and new. Loved the splash pad and playground for kids. Pool was closed. Beach was beautiful and had a variety of different sea shells. Unfortunately, there was quite a lot of garbage (dirty tissue, cigarette butt, food wrappers) on the sand from people who did not use the garbage cans. Alewife Cove nature trail was nice and the water was shallow. It was great for wading in and seeing cute little crabs and hermit crabs in the water.

Historic coastal fortress with a museum offering tours, trails with harbor views & a fishing pier.

This is a massive fort rebuilt three times. The museum is very informative and interesting. It has an elevator so access if you are handicapped. You need your walking shoes to tour the fort and its surroundings. Watch your step on the circular stairwell going up and down. If you are too old or disabled don’t do it.
Nice park full of Connecticut history! Plenty of parking with paved walkways and ramps for wheelchair/walker access. There are picnic tables on the grass with water views and benches off the walkways. The park often has special events, like the docking of the USS Normandy prior to being decommissioned. There are restrooms in the Visitor Center and also at the bottom of the hill below the Fort close to the docks. There's a helpful video on their website that gives you a glimpse of what to look forward to at the park!
This place is amazing. We get to see some history here. Not only did we enter the fort we got to board the coast guard ship was fun! The views in some areas were great as well. Definitely coming here again. 😊
The history this place holds is amazing. The Fort itself is a great build and the views of the river are beautiful. Great place for a nice family picnic or fishing off the pier. Best part is it is a Connecticut State Park and free to the residents.
Great place to stop and learn more about the history of the area. The visitor center was nice and informational $6 to enter and has clean restrooms available. Gift shop was closed for the season when we went. Plan to spend anywhere from 1 to 3 hours here walking the grounds and the visitor center.
Very good history imformation. It was a capsule of American history it's long history from the war of Independence all the way to the cold war and naval history
Hard to find the entrance but really cool spot, would recommend walking through. there's restrooms by the pier and picnic tables around the fort itself, great for looking at the bay
A good trip but they weren't open nice grounds to walk around at beautiful view of the water

Ferry service
Transportation
Slide 1 of 8
Love this ferry! Saves so much time for getting over to Block Island, as opposed to driving all the way to Point Judith in Rhode Island. Quick, easy and friendly staff. Reasonably priced too.
No shade unless you pay extra for a priority ticket, waiting for the ferry in new London. This is a safety hazard Especially with the heat we have had this summer. Really frustrating to see an empty tent over empty seating and wait on asphalt in the heat. I can’t imagine how painful/dangerous this is when it is 100 degrees and humid, seating next to ticket booth also has no shade. Last time I was on the e ferry a day excursion group of kids threw trash into the water and was behaving extremely poorly and they were not talked to or under control by the staff at all
Good ferry service, it take about 1 and a half hours to cross. Staff is friendly. The AC is turned up high inside so it can get quite cold, remember to bring something to cover yourself up. Make sure to book your tickets in advance, we booked ours one week before and some ferries were not available anymore (we went in July). It is hard to social distance on the ferry and you are required to wear a face mask (unfortunately, staff does not seem to actively monitor this rule and it’s each man for himself). There is very little parking space near the dock, so we parked in the nearby parking garage. $15 for a day and safe.
Pictures cant discribe Block Island! You must go there and enjoy the beauty of the Island, the shops, great foods, cool activities, and spectacular scenery. Two recommendations wear good walking shoes and sunblock! I hope you love it as much as I did!
The worst travel experience. -90 round trip for a day for me (an adult and my 11 year old) -48 more to bring our bikes round trip -15 to park ( a day) Buy your tickets online and with your bikes and stuff and kids and dogs and strollers and coffee walk to another booth far away from where you parked to get hard copy tickets to now manage with all your other stuff. Dumb! Paying all this money for chaos!
It's like ratings the DMV. There's no competition so it doesn't really matter what I say. They sould throw people off the starboard bow and I'd still need to use them the to get to BI.
I took a round trip to block Island, Rhode Island with two friends. We left on Friday mornings 8:30 a.m. ferry - it took about an hour and a half. It was a nice ride and it did have moderate waves. We came back on Sundays 10:05 a.m. ferry from block Island to New London Connecticut. The ride was a bit gloomy but not as wavy. I do notice that the boat in some areas are a bit run down, it would be nice if they were to keep up with that and I'm not sure they're wiping down tables when people leave. I say that because there were food crumbs on our table when we got on board. This weekend we went is the week before kids get out of school and it's not extremely busy as it will be from here on out through Labor Day. I really like that. The ferry did leave and arrive on time and the price I feel is more than fair. $70.50 per person round trip. You can also park your car at the New London lot for $10 a day - $30 in total for a Friday through Sunday. You can then literally walk 2 minutes to the ticket booth, restroom and ferry. You are not able to bring your own alcoholic beverages, at least not to drink there - you do have to buy their drinks. They do not start serving until 9:00 a.m. and they serve a really good bloody Mary for $12. They have all kinds of snacks and breakfast pastries/muffins, coffee and tea, juices and water.
BRING YOUR PORTABLE CHARGER! There are no USB/C ports, only several wall outlets. Passengers were nearly tripping over cables plugged into the outlets that are located on the bottom of several walls. On Block Island, I saw several people walk into stores, looking to purchase portable chargers. BRING MOTION SICKNESS MEDICATION AS WELL! The ferry sold out of it, so my traveling companion had to purchase some on island. She got sick despite the gentle ride. The Bloody Mary's were tasty and strong, the crew including the bartenders was pleasant, the restrooms were spotless, and the ride was smooth. The four stars is because the ferry left New London 42 minutes late due to mechanical troubles.

I enjoyed the Classic Lighthouse Cruise. The narrator did a fabulous job of speaking clearly so that you could understand what was being said. I was sitting on the top deck outside and didn't have any issues understanding what was being said. The narrator was very informative about all the lighthouses and the surrounding areas that we cruised through. It's worth the 2 hour cruise to see and experience the history of the area in a different way.
This is an absolutely wonderful lighthouse cruise. It is narrated, there is a bar/snack shop on the ship, restrooms, and 3 decks to choose from! I'd do this activity again, anytime!!!!
The ship approached all the lighthouses as closely as possible. On the lower deck there are windows that are about 4 feet wide and 6 feet tall so you have a wide open view. The ship is piloted so that it spins around at its point of closet approach so all sides get a good look at the lighthouses. The guide doing the chatting has good notes on all of the local history for each stop. Very interesting stuff. From 8 yo to 61 we all had a good time.
The Lights and Sights Cruise was awesome! We had a perfect day for it. Got to see beautiful scenery, several lighthouses and lots of nice houses. Second level outside was a nice place to sit. At the sites, they turn the boat around so everyone has a chance to see without having to move. Only complaint is that the speakers are old and hard to hear clearly unless you’re inside.
Very interesting way to spend your time, either as a final destination or if you're waiting fo the Block Iskand ferry. You'll see a number if really cool lighthouses and hear interesting stories about them. The only improvement I would suggest is to stream the commentary via headphones. With the noise of the engine, wind, and water it was difficult to hear at times
This was a great cruise that covered a lot of locations. Prior to the cruise itself I looked over the route that is taken and was impressed at the distance travelled in a two hour tour, but when the ship can go at a fast pace of 27 knots I can see how it’s done. It’s got some serious horsepower. When not tearing across Long Island sound (very very smoothly I must say) the captain stopped at the places of interest to give people a good chance to look things over and take pictures, turning the boat around slowly so that people sitting on both sides can get a view. The trip was well narrated. The food counter had a good array of food and beverages at a reasonable price. If you are looking for things to do while in New London or its surroundings this lighthouse cruise is a great option.
I was in town for the Ocean Beach half marathon and after the race and a few hours soaking in rays on the beach decided to jump on this tour. It was a great decision. It was about 75 degrees that day so it actually got kinda chilly when the boat started speeding up! We saw about 7 lighthouses. The tour guide is this old dude that really loves his job and told great stories of the light houses and the history. The drinks on the ship was great! Clean bathrooms and plenty of seating.
Absolutely lovely time. Highly recommend to all tourists in the area! I want to bring my parents! this tour covers many sites and is very comfortable! Gorgeous photos. They spin the boat around each lighthouse so that you can stay in your seat and see everything. They also explain a lot of folklore and history of the area.

The Garde is one of my favorite places to go for affordable live performances. There's not a bad seat in the house and the concessions won't cost you an arm and leg. This is a perfect venue for date nights, solo nights out or outings with family and friends!
We saw Black Violin here and we had an incredible experience! All the staff have very detailed directions to our seats. The snack attendant was very friendly. Bathrooms were clean and popcorn was tasty.
Very easy to find & plenty of parking on a Saturday. Easy to check in, pleasant staff and Very nice size. Not a bad seat in the house.
I had the luck of being a band support member here for the ELO tribute, Evil Woman and thus, this was my personal experience. A beautiful Vaudeville theater built in 1926. Awesome acoustics, huge stage. An authentic theater in all its glory. You don't see many of these art deco gems left, so it's a real treat to see the place shine with lights and music. The whole place had a great vibe, I was impressed with not only the beautiful venue but also the acoustics. The secret sauce is always behind the curtain, tho. The house staff here are the real stars, Queen Charlotte and Sara(h?) really made the green room feel like a home away from home. The back of the house staff was impeccable in every way. Everyone I met was courteous, helpful and professional. It was a great experience to see the place from the front and then the back of the house here. I'll remember it for a long time to come. Highly suggest, would suggest again.
What a gem and a historical landmark! I have never experienced a more beautiful, clean, and even spacious theater ever! When one is in consideration of just how old this theater is, it is amazing. The only thing to exceed this is the acoustics and the hospitality of the staff! I look forward to returning very soon!
My daughter attended the Summer on Stage program, and she had a blast. I highly recommend the Summer on Stage. The Center is beautiful and offers many wonderful shows.
The lady who scanned my ticket was nice. I didn't interact with any other staff member during my time here. Beautiful interior and the performance area is amazing! The seats were comfy!
We attend a show here at least once a year. Parking is always a challenge in the city. Bathrooms are clean and well stocked every time I have needed one. Concessions often sell out so you should purchase at the start of a show instead of hoping to get something during an intermission. Coat check has been available in the past and I have never used it so not sure if it is still available. Two levels of seating, I prefer the upper level but have sat in the lower level before.

Vacation week for the kiddo and was looking for something different, decided to check out the Coast Guard Museum in Groton. It's free to get in and definitely worth visiting. Some of the exhibits were being worked on but definitely worth checking out. It's not very big so take your time and enjoy every minute of it. There is also a library in the building also.
Awesome museum detailing pieces and facts from every age of the history of the u.s. Coast Guard. The campus was awesome also. The museum is not overly large but it is very impressive and informative. Admission is free but they do have a donation box that you can donate to on the way out which is a great idea. Just keep in mind because it's on the campus you have to have a valid driver's license or u.s. ID to enter since it's a military base.
Great military museum. There are new exhibits from time to time. A must see for anyone interested in the USCG and Maritime in general.
It was a pretty nice place to go to.
The US Coast Guard needs more federal appropriations to carry out its mission.
Brought our son to the Academy. Checked out the history while we were there waiting to see him sworn in.
Great history museum of the US Coast Guard! Worth the visit!
Small, but very interesting! Love the fresnel lenses!

My wife really likes museums and more art in specific, so we stopped here. I really like the building. You can see that they invest time in any details. They have 2 exhibitions, but they're really nice. One of them were the crystal from Tiffany (sorry typos), a local NE artisan, and other ones a little bit alternative. I like this place and I'll recommend visiting it!.
Surprisingly good museum. American paintings, Tiffany designs, exhibit on China trade. These exhibits relate to the history of New London. Plan on 2 hours at least. Senior ticket is $9 in 2025.
We visited Lyman Allyn Art Museum as part of our CTRoadtrips YouTube channel excursions. We had a wonderful and informative experience viewing the Chinese porcelain exhibit, American perspective permanent exhibit and the Louis Comfort Tiffany exhibit. Staff were friendly and accommodating. HIGHLY recommend.
Amazing place!!! The entire place was so calm and beautiful, the art pieces looked very well taken care of, and the people that worked their were just so kind the entire time, 10/10
Actually went to see the Sweet Dreams exhibit, which was pretty cool. The desserts looked so real and beautiful. The rest of the museum was small. There were some nice paintings the rest I didn't really care for... which isn't important because everyone's eye is different. Overall it was nice to see the exhibit before it leaves and Tiffany at the front desk was very pleasant and helpful.
This is a gem of a small but Worthy museum. Most of the museum has a focus on the history and culture of New London and Southeastern Connecticut. The layout of the galleries is done thoughtfully and I enjoyed the descriptions of the artwork. The gallery on Louis Comfort Tiffany was a especially interesting and well done. The current exhibit on the artist, Marchi, is quite impactful, as I do lean in to abstract expressionism. It looks like they have great programming for young people as well.
Excellent exhibits were being shown when we visited (Tiffany was one). Very friendly customer service there too. Picnic tables were outside for seating with outdoor art to enjoy as well. We were happy we stopped.
Loved this art gallery; it was a perfect way to escape the cold weather and see traditional paintings and sculptures. I loved seeing the beautiful Tiffany stained glass and jewelry on display and learn more about their local history in New London. Must visit if you're a local art fan!

This is such a great museum who has really made it their mission to preserve maritime enthusiasm among many varied visitors. The director Susan is superbly accomodating, doing her very best to ensure that a remarkable time is had by all. She went far out of her way to arrange a Harbor light tour for me on the tail end of an amazing excursion out to Little Gull Island Lighthouse. Her young volunteer who showed me the harbor light was also a remarkable asset to the program. I had such a wonderful day rejoicing in a hobby I love because of the dedication to excellence of this amazing staff. Thank you to all who keep the New London Custom House Museum thriving!
Katie was a wonderful guide. She helped us and gave us a lot of information on the local lighthouses. She also was able to stamp our lighthouse passports, even though the locations were private. We will definitely be back for lighthouse tours!
A great visit and a must-see in New England. The history of our port is amazing. Soon to be home to the U.S. Cosst Guard Museum. The town is in a revitaluzation mode. Come help her along. Great food.
Great museum about the history of New London, whaling, local lighthouses, and the Custom House itself. Upstairs exhibit on the Amistad also really interesting and moving. Tour guide Jim did an excellent job bringing everything to life!
Highly recommend a tour of the New London Harbor Light as well as the custom house Maritime museum. A lovely day ☺️
We heard good things so we were hoping to stop by and have a quick look before going back to the ferry with our baby. They won’t let you go through without a guide. I’m sure it’s more interesting when you can stop and hear the story of each exhibit since there’s nothing written down to read, just a collection of artifacts which is useless without the guide. I also guess we have to just take the guide’s word for all facts because there’s no corroborating evidence for anything they say. But either way we weren’t able to just walk through and take a look and it’s too much for us to hold our daughter for that amount of time and no room for a stroller so it’s not something that worked for us.
This is a very nice little museum with outstanding exhibits, particularly relating to the history of New London. It is a must see if visiting New London.

This place is such a little treasure. This place is so well-maintained. It's stunning. There are so many different types of trees here and they are labeled so you can get an idea of what type of trees that you're looking at. There are several loops in this place that you can loop around different sections. The main loop is around the pond but there's other shoots so you can spend a couple hours here just wandering around checking out the different things. The trails are well maintained. You may get turned around a little only because there are so many loops but just keep your eye on the pond and you won't get lost. I recommend thisplace. It's very easy walk. My friend and I walked around for about an hour and a half half or so just taking in all of the scenery. We definitely plan to come back here in May or June when the mountain is at its peak because there is so much mountain Laurel here. I think that will be stunning at this time of year. I also want to come back in September October to watch the colors of the leaves change. The parking is off street parking. There are signs for two hour parking. I did not see any charged parking, but it looks like you can park on both sides of the roads up and down the street.
This looks like a place I would have loved to attend college. Beautiful campus and grounds. The Arboretum offers a nice serene place to chill or study in nature!
Absolutely stunning in the fall! There are so many beautiful trees to look at any time of year, but they are especially beautiful right now at different stages of turning colors. We also found a lot of mushrooms that were fascinating to look at, and loved learning about the different kinds of trees there. Highly recommend for a family walk or a place to picnic or read/study!
Situated directly across from Connecticut college in new london is this hidden green gem! Beautiful year round, great for a quick stroll or all day. Bring a picnic, a book, binoculars or crafts! Seating is very limited but my favorite is the single wicker chair hidden down by the pond that moves around. My second favorite is there is no jogging allowed lol. So relax people. Enjoy.
A great oasis just at the junction of Conn College, New London and Waterford. Take a quiet stroll or picnic. Check to various tree species and possibly see some wildlife. Free to enter and spend a few minutes or the day. If you are lucky you will catch a Shakespearean play on the grass.
A great place for a walk. If you have an interest in the local flora, you will find the name plates for selective trees and plants useful. Don't forge to visit the lily pond.
The Connecticut college arboretum is very pleasant and quiet. Easy walk and hiking boots are not needed. It can be a little muddy in spots. Parking is easy. Great place for bird watching. However, the most important thing to know is WEAR BUG SPRAY AND LOTS OF IT. I was slathered with Deep Woods Off from head to toe and I was still attacked by deer flies and mosquitoes. Did I mention you should wear bug spray? Not just any old spray. You need commercial grade deet and or protective clothing like burlap and mosquito netting.
Beautiful & serene. Well kept park of native plants. We were here to dedicate "Babbie's Grove," a lovely spot in the wildflower garden in memory of Elizabeth (Babs) Conant.

Full disclosure: I didn't walk in because it was closed, and just happened upon it so it was not my destination. BUT, this is a cool little building that was preserved and built around. Nice backstory is posted on the building about it's namesake Nathan Hale. Worth a visit to see a 250+ year old building!
This small but significant red clapboard schoolhouse offers a fascinating glimpse into Revolutionary-era education. Dating back nearly 250 years, it's where Nathan Hale, Connecticut's famous Revolutionary War hero, once taught before his fateful spy mission. The building features authentic colonial architecture with its gambrel roof and symmetrical design. When open, visitors can explore two floors including a reconstructed 18th-century classroom and try writing with quill pens. Note: Currently displays a "Temporarily Closed" sign. The schoolhouse is maintained by the Sons of the American Revolution and relies on volunteer docents. It's located in the downtown Parade plaza area, which underwent renovation in 2010. Worth visiting when it reopens for its historical significance and educational value. The building has been moved six times throughout its history, making its preservation story almost as interesting as Nathan Hale's own legacy.
Very interesting landmark to be at! It’s so cool to see the place Nathan Hale learned the words he used that are still remembered today.
Very cool to step in the same rooms that Nathan Hale our state hero did in 1774 and 1775.

370 years of history, hidden under the towering I-95 travel lanes. Unfortunately, the mill building was locked with no signage as to 'open' hours. Still, a nice peaceful place to sit down, listen to the running water and reflect on the past.
The Old Town Mill was originally built in 1650 by John Winthrop Jr., the founder of New London and later the Governor of Connecticut. Listed on the National Historic Register, the Mill is one of the oldest industrial sites in Connecticut. On September 6, 1781, General Benedict Arnold burned the mill down during his raid on New London. The mill was rebuilt soon after on the original site.
Somebody needs to do some thing with this place. This is an old historic mill, in New London Connecticut. It is being allowed to fall apart. The street people, And the attics in the area love to frequent this place. It’s a shame to see an old historic site like this go into such disrepair. They should either restore it or have it moved somewhere else, or give them to somebody that will give it some love. Hard to get to, no place to park,And sketchy people hanging out. Be safe when you try to see this place.
Very interesting place. The Tour has a little video presentation to go along with it.
Area is very sketchy, drug users, alcohol, trash... Parked and walked over anyway. Cool mill but didn't stay but a few minutes.
Not much to review. Yes, the structure still stands. No, there is no entity providing tours or exhibitions. In a way, the looming shadows of 95 keep this landmark preserved. Nothing else can be built there, so keeping a charming piece of history tucked away there always felt appropriate to me.
In town for training and did some sightseeing. Thought this would be a place to see. The mill and a small area around it looked really nice. However it is located under a couple interstate bridges, the surrounding area is overgrown and not maintained, and there were homeless people all around the area. This was very disappointing.
Beautiful, picturesque little spot of history still here thanks to the preservation interests of many! ...powerful, poetic juxtaposition of past and present with the interstate highway almost directly above.

Drinking and Dragons a charity gaming night is held in the Library 2 or 3 times a year. Third time going here. Great time had by all. Wonderful that the College lets their facilities be use for this Charity event. Cant wait for the next one.
A truly special place, with outstanding education and incredible kids. Lucky to have had both my kids attend, and they were both super happy there.
this college plays a basketball tournament for the youth. The level of cleanliness in the gyms is absolutely filthy. The bathrooms are disgusting, the bathroom stall literally had blood in the stalls. They were never cleaned from the day before. Bottles were everywhere, signs were falling off the walls in the gym it’s just a mess. The gym itself is amazing too bad they allow people to dirty it up so much
Great school, beautiful campus!
Athletics center is the filthiest bathrooms out of all AAU locations. How embarrassing. Ill never use these bathroom facilities. Looks worst than yesterday. No one to clean. Just plain disgusting. Literally.
My four years at Connecticut College was a pretty good oppurtunity to figure out exactly what is wrong with the academic system in America. You can read about Professor Pessin's ill treatment for criticizing Hamas, elsewhere, and my personal "enlightenment" has not left me loving the college from a personal level as well. After expressing opposition to abortion in a class which I was unceremoniously heckled out, I got the distinct pleasure of having a series of rumors spread by students and our irresponsible professors about me somehow finding out which students had gotten abortions(I honestly have no clue how one would even go about this)and going around personally harassing them. No, harassment at this campus is a tactic reserved for the privileged group that more and more dictates what can and can't be said in this stifling, anti-intellectual, echo chamber. If you share the standard "academic" left system of beliefs, and want to have people congratulate you on how wonderful you are for four years, you would have a great time here. If you don't think dissent is some kind of hate crime, however, you would probably be better off somewhere with a view of free speech a little more ahead of the 14th century. Of course, none of this would be possible without an administration willing to allow if not blatantly encourage these witch hunts. After going through a rather idiotic class where I had to have these rather incredulous accusations being bandied about as truth by my professor, I got to sit through increasingly inane conversations with various administrators who similarly were unable to comprehend that people exist in the world that do not parrot their beliefs, and that these people aren't amenable to being treated like some kind of bottom feeder. My favorite experinece in this mind numbing parade of hypocrisies was my conversation in which a member of the "Office of Institutional Equity and Inclusion" told me that the solution to the rather abhorrent treatement meted out to me by by faculty was to "find people who think like me". This was actually the best advice I ever got from admin, who never denied nor denounced that I was being harassed by faculty members. They are, after all, too busy making public statements on carbon taxes, a hillarious fact when one considers that colleges are generally exempt from taxes, and the school president is a flutist, not a climate scientist or economist, so I'm not sure why anybody should really care.
Amazing place to come visit!!!!
A beautiful campus.

Great wedding venue! Historic chapel/church! Wonderful exposed beam ceiling. Not insulated! Our son and daughter in law were blessed with reasonable November weather. Very picturesque!!!
This is such a beautiful church. They have summer and Christmas services. The center of the historic Pequot Colony. Many colony homes built near the church.
Pequot Chapel is a quaint and beautiful old chapel, but the building you have marked on google maps is not Pequot Chapel. Pequot Chapel is directly facing the end of Chapel Drive on Montauk Ave, not on Glenwood.
Great church, beautiful and historic.....loved our experience there.
What a pretty chapel. Looks something out of a fairy tale.
Lovely with good sound

We've previously enjoyed the hop on, hop off harbor cruise, but "Mohegan Life on the Massapequatuck" was our first historical boat tour. We couldn't have been more satisfied with the crew or program. Our lecturer, Beth "Morning Deer" Regan, shared several fascinating stories about the history and culture of the Mohegan Tribal Nation. It was both a joy and honor, one which I highly recommend. We enjoyed this tour so much that we plan to do some of the other historical boat tours on the Thames being offered this summer.

Hidden gem of history, this is the oldest continuous operating Customs House in US. Hank was a wealth of knowledge and a great tour guide!
