This is one of the prettiest lighthouses I’ve ever seen. It is set on a small island with beautiful blue water. There is a gift shop with a variety of items and bottled water. Each of the employees I encountered were helpful and friendly. When you visit, please bring insect repellent, the flies were brutal and bit us relentlessly.
if you are up in door county and love to get your steps in while also being surrounded by historic and beautiful scenery….visit the cana light house!! there is so much history to be discovered and such a beautiful place to explore!! it was so awesome climbing to the top of the lighthouse! i will be back here!
Wonderful park! Beautiful park! The grounds are well kept! Nice walk to the lighthouse and a great spokesman at the top of the lighthouse for questions and wonderful tidbits of information!! Very minimal fee to get to the lighthouse and certainly worth it! Well worth the trip down Q hwy and the wonderful fall foliage!!
This is one of the amazing must visit places in Door County. You can climb on the light house to have a view from the top. The tickets for adults are $12 and kids 10. the lake shores are amazing too. If you want to experience wagon drive I would recommend it for kids. Total 97 steps to go to the top. Read the history. The only recommendation is to maintain the rest room a lot better.
The Cana Island Light is located at Baileys Harbour, Wisconsin. The admission to the grounds and the light is $17 and are purchased at the vistor center/gift shop. There is a walk across a rocky causeway to the main grounds. There was a free wagon ride across the causeway during October. The lighthouse was built in 1869 and was enclosed in metal casing in 1902. The climb to the top is 97 steps to the top. The last step is through a hatch and would be difficult for persons with mobility issues. The climb to the top is steep but worth it for the beautiful views. The lighthouse and grounds are worth the admission.
What a beautiful piece of history!! Wear your walking shoes! It's a little walk but places to sit on your way. Very doable if you take your time! Well worth the price!! Fabulous photo opportunities, even if you don't go up in the lighthouse!
The walk over the causeway was difficult because of the rocks. Sometimes, they have a truck that will take you over to the island, but it was not offered the day we went. Only one of our group took the 97 steps up the spiral staircase to the top of the lighthouse. He said the view from up there was great. That climb was too difficult for the rest of us. But we still had great views of the lake, and the grounds were well kept with pretty flowers everywhere. We did watch an interesting movie about the history of the lighthouse and the island.
Had a great time exploring the lighthouse. It was beautifully kept and with minimal crowd it was easy to look around and enjoy the views. Great place for a weekend getaway.

Fantastic! Stop in and enjoy a craft brew! Live music was incredible on the night we were there. GM Mike was amazing during our visit, and knew the answers to all our questions Tried a variety of beers and left with a flat to fill our mini fridges! Stop by, you'll be happy you did! It's a must-stop for beer lovers!
A Must-Stop for Local Brews Door County Brewing Company offers a warm wooden interior with a modern spin, creating a lively and welcoming atmosphere. It’s a must-stop spot in Door County for those looking to enjoy locally brewed beers. The brewery also features outdoor seating and a dedicated space for live music, adding to the festive and celebratory ambiance. The staff is helpful and welcoming, enhancing the overall experience. I liked the beer taps installed directly into a unfinished wall 😜, which adds a modern and sleek touch to the space. While the beer selection is excellent, the potato chips were a bit disappointing due to the heavy saucing and sweetness, which overpowered the flavor. Street parking available. However, Parking is difficult to find during peak hours. Restrooms are clean. Entrance faces east. Indoor and outdoor spaces are wheelchair accessible but not the entrance. That said, I would definitely return for the beer and highly recommend stopping by whenever visiting Door County. The entrance faces east, making it easy to find and access.
Great drinks here! We came during non peak hours as we explored Bailey's Harbor area. We wanted to try something from the food truck just outside but ended up going further into town to eat. I wanted to take home growler but I had no way to keep this chilled as we were still on vacation for a few more days. This definitely a great stop to have a few drinks when a live band is playing.
Atmosphere is amazing! Love the fireplace and cozy feeling. Glad they were open since alot of other places were not. Mac n cheese is AWESOME!! Highly recommend!! Only negative is no sour beers on the menu. Love they have games also. October Fest beer Highly recommended!!
Been to many taprooms...this has to be in my top 5 for sure. What a great Saturday afternoon with friends, great music and craft beer at an amazing venue with even better service. GM - Mike looks after all the customers ensuring their palate is very satisfied. We even had a fun little tour of the brewhouse! Will definitely be back in spring and plan to bring friends to show them our Wisconsin hospitality; Door County style.
Such a cute place! Love the live music! The beer and set up is awesome! Friendly staff and well priced drinks. This is my new spot when I'm in town
7:20/2025 it’s nice that they’re open until eight on a Sunday. A lot of other things are closed. They have a variety of wines and mixed drinks and alcoholic drinks tap beer and beers. I got the cherry limeade. It was not awesome so I’m gonna try something else next time the beer was good though and they have games and a lot of good seating inside.
We are delighted with DCBC! On our second visit during our Door County vacation, we were warmly received by Mike, the owner and fifth-generation Bailey Harbor resident. His brewery embodies a hometown atmosphere, exuding warmth and hospitality. Following our initial visit earlier in the week, where we enjoyed Oktoberfest, we purchased six-packs as gifts for friends and family. Today, after exploring the Ridges Conservatory, we returned to DCBC, appreciative of Mike's exceptional brews. We strongly endorse a visit to DCBC, confident it will exceed expectations! After our visit Lori suggested we visit Toft Point. It was just the icing on the cake for a perfect day! Thanks for the recommendation. Educational and beautiful hike! Cheers until we meet again!🍻

The Ridges actually is three properties – I was fortunate enough to have the time to hike all of the Logan Creek property, and then went onto the actual sanctuary down the road and hike to the longest loop trail. In both cases, I saw a total of only seven people between the two properties. For me, that was delightful. The trails are absolutely lovely with, for the most part, wide mulched paths. For the paths that are deeper in the wooded areas, they are well worn and clearly marked with tape. There's so much to take in as far as the flowers and fungi and the sheer beauty of it all. Both parks are extremely well-maintained – I saw no trash at all. Five dollars is an incredible value for admission – and it is an honor system.
Parking is really strange. There’s multiple parking lots in different areas but google can’t find any of them and there’s no signs posted on the roads. Apparently you have to use Waze or Apple Maps to find them. I dropped one star for the parking headache. Other than the parking it was a nice relaxing hike through the ridges. We didn’t do a guided hike or anything, we just enjoyed the trails ourselves. The boardwalks really helped because it can get pretty swampy in some areas. The Range Lights were interesting and there were a couple of tour guides giving a brief overview of everything. We saw some wildflowers and heard lots of birds on our hike. There weren’t any bugs out yet thankfully.
This is a nature walk area in Bailey's Harbour, with boardwalks all the way throughout the trail. The end of the boardwalk leads you up to the two lighthouses at either ends. The larger lighthouse has a small museum, with living areas showing how a lighthouse keeper would have lived there. There's a fee to check out the trail, and visit to the lighthouse museum is included in it.
Peaceful and educational day/walk. A very nice lady told us about the lighthouse keepers home. They used newspaper to insulate back then. Highly recommend to all!.
Not your average Wisconsin state park or state forest. The plants different, the ridges-and-swales topography is different, and the whole idea of a wild native iris sanctuary is different. Plus, it's nice to walk through; the loose soil and sand combo is easy on your feet, and not as soft as hiking through sand dunes. We're already hoping to return.
Beautiful boardwalk that meanders through. I enjoyed hearing a variety of birds and a great egret even landed in one of the marsh areas while I was visiting. Unfortunately, the visitor center was closed for a staff training when I arrived. I’ll be back!
Great boardwalk and sandy trails. Quiet woods with abundant vegetation and wildlife. Sit on a bench and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature.
Absolutely lovely! Great board walk, with an excellent assortment of trails. Welcoming staff, and very clean grounds. A very peaceful hike!

Learning in Retirement hike on 10/10 10 AM and a Door County Land Trust hike on 10/14 9AM. Varied terrain from upper farmland fields and forests. Escarpment down to lake. Easy to moderate 1.5 mile trails over flat to rocky conifer and hardwood forests. Some photos were taken a few years ago and later in season.
Couldn't find the entrance, but was surprised to find a gorgeous strip of road (North Maple Road) to slowly drive through, watching brilliant fall colors in the afternoon
It was beautiful and quiet! The trail is easy to follow, just be aware it is narrow and you will be going downhill and uphill. We went in the fall and the colors were lovely!
Quiet and secluded, with trails that lead to Kangaroo lake. No bathrooms and small parking lot. Went there for sunrise and didn’t see any other people.
Amazing spot. A little more challenging than some of the other land preserve parks nearby, both in terms of distance and terrain.
Easy to mild hike. Lots of roots and rocks so it can be tricky with lots of leaves covering them.
We got less than a half mile into this and had to turn around because we're getting attacked by biting flies. You definitely need to make sure you have some really good bug spray. I can't speak to the beauty of the lake cuz we didn't get that far. This was early June.
This is a nice hike of 30 to 40 minutes duration, with modest elevation changes and reasonable footing....a few roots and rocks. Much of it is under tree cover and out of the sun. Their are views of the lack at the far end. The parking area is not marked with a sign, and the google maps is a little off with the location.

Great antiques! Always look forward to visiting this store on our trips up north. We always leave with a new purchase.
Hands down the best antique shop I've seen in door county or Madison. The place is small, and has carefully arranged pieces displayed quite nicely. Prices are appropriately high for the high quality. The owner (I assume) was very knowledgeable. This isn't a place where your going to find old junk, just old treasures reflecting a good mix of old expert craftsmanship, old industry, and excellent examples of diy farm/pioneer tools.
Stop here every time I'm in Door County. GREAT antiques ! Always shop the market next door, too. Never leave empty handed. ;-)
It's a nice antique place not very big we bought two cast iron door stops from there but only cash or checks
Pretty expensive items.
