Outstanding experience! Sean was great! Professional and personable. The studio is simple and clean. It only takes about 30 min total! We got the most simple base with the bronze finish and had it shipped to New York. The total cost was $500. It took about 2 months to arrive. We feel like the quality was worth it! The detail is surprising! We plan to have this forever and it will be fun to compare to our "old" hands some day. Highly recommend!
So. My husband surprised me with this for our first anniversary. I’d bugged him – repeatedly – to cast our hands: in wax, in plaster – I didn’t care. I just wanted this romantic little trinket to stick on a shelf and look at. But I was woefully uneducated in this medium. I had not considered that this is Florida – and wax melts. Plaster crumbles. Enter Sean of Garman Sculpture Works. This sculpture is neither wax nor plaster, but some sort of futuristic stone creation that tings like metal if you flick it (but don’t – it hurts.) – and that will last a lifetime. It’s a masterpiece to pass down the generations (and believe you me, my kids will be getting these hands, and they will like it.) Sean is funny and engaging. He spends time explaining the process and showing his clients some of his finished pieces that set in the gallery. He walks you through the molding process with humor and good natured ribbing. The sculpture is not inexpensive – but please keep in mind that you are commissioning a work of art and that the price is reflected in the quality of the piece. The detail is immaculate. I was struck upon holding it, that my husband’s sculpted hand feels like my husband’s actual hand. It is eerily perfect. This is a gift – and experience – I will keep with me for a lifetime. Thank you, Sean!
Surprised my Wife for our 6 year anniversary... From start to finish, this was an awesome experience. Sean is definitely fun to be around and kept us comfortable and laughing even with our 7 month old screaming most of the time lol. We chose a pretty awkward pose in which was not easy for any of us haha. Probably made Seans job very difficult during the casting process but he pulled it off flawlessly. Our sculpture is now the centerpiece in our living room. The detail is absolutely incredible. Sean, thanks again!
This was a one of a kind experience! Sean is an amazing artist and has a great sense of humor. Jamie is also a wonderful young man. This experience is not just about having a lifetime mold made it's about feeling good and laughter. Its an overall experience. Thank you Sean. You have an amazing gift not only with your art but with your heart💜. I would recommend Garman Sculptures to All! Can't wait to see the final work of art. Thanks again guys! Keep making amazing art👏🤝👌
This will be a Birthday I will never forget! We had and Amazing time Sean was so personable and funny, he was absolutely great with the kids. We had an Awesome experience that will last us an lifetime these sculptures are over the top! So Detail he deserves 10 Stars for his work. I would recommend to everyone 🤗
What an incredible experience so far! They were attentive and so thorough when explaining how the mold was going to be done. Very funny couple and my husband and I enjoyed the visit. It was much quicker than we thought! We were there about thirty minutes which was great! Super excited to see the finished product.
I surprised my hubby and take him to have our hands sculpted, this was the best thing I have ever done. From the mommy we step our feet in the shop Sean was amazing until the time of pick up. We love our sculpture, thank you so much we will definitely be back for a family one. Keep on the great work.
I was searching for something interesting to do in my area (on google maps), and Garman Sculpture Works popped up as the first thing, and I clicked it and thought, This would be the perfect gift for my partner who's birthday is in a month. I easily booked the appointment online through Garman's website, which was extremely easy. Got a confirmation back, I think that day, and a follow up reminder the day or so before the appointment. Arrived early to take a look at the studio and speak with the artist Sean, who was incredible. Funny, knowledgeable and completely thorough on how the process works. Point by point he explained everything. Sean was such a great guy that my partner and I felt like we were already with an old friend. And did I mention funny? He's hysterical. We don't pick up our finished piece for 4 weeks or so but the molding process was such an incredible experience, I already want to do another, without even seeing the finished one. For something completely unique to do as well as your own personal sculpture... this is hands down (pun intended) one of the best things I've found of the Internet. Thank you Sean. You're the best!

Naturally wooded campground with showering facilities, overnight sites for tents & RV parking.

We stayed at the campground and it was very nice. Tons of trees giving great shade for your camper. The laundry room and showers were spotless. The staff and security were very friendly. The location brings lots of road noise between I95 and the railroad but the location is great to be able to see south Florida as you are centrally located. I'd definitely stay here again.
Beautiful park! The camping area is well spaced and most spots have shrubbery between. Absolutely loved everything except the trains going by every 10 minutes. If you don't mind the extra noise this is a fantastic campground and park.
Beautiful nature Park that offers camp grounds, Frisbee golf, play grounds, pavilions, volleyball and nature paths, bbq grills, picnic areas with plenty of area to run around and play for the babies or dogs and all surrounding a huge pond. The park is very well kept. The park has wildlife abundantly, 🐿️, 🦆, wild 🕊️, coyotes, iguanas are just a few. This is a special place to go and just take a walk or watch the scenery. This is one of my favorite parks
This is a county park and campground so there are no rooms. However, the restroom are clean and well maintained. The trails are well kept. The parking areas are well defined. Trash is very well picked up. And the staff is very very friendly. It’s a nice middle of the day getaway.
I was disc golfing. The course has 20 holes. A handful are long enuff for a "bigger arm", but most are rather short. The tricky part is on the technical side as there are very many trees. Very fun rounds can be had there. Additionally, the park is well used by people grilling and celebrating under pavilions and kids play area. Oh and finally there a full campground area that accommodates tents and RV's. Clean too. Enjoy it. (Fee on weekends) free weekdays.
I took my 100yr old veteran of WWII father (Marine Corps/Semper Fi) for a drive thru the park and unfortunately he needed to use the bathroom at the campground, because the only other facilities are adjacent to the entrance which is fairly far away. Well, after parking in the handicapped spot and helping him to the bathroom with his WALKER, it was LOCKED on a Sunday afternoon (lunchtime) and after getting him back to the car to drive to the other facility, he had already went in his pants in my brand-new SUV’s cloth interior. I know there is a sign saying campers only while entering the campground, but this was totally understandable under the circumstances! This is a BROWARD COUNTY PARK that property owners that reside here help pay taxes for and the bathroom facilities are LOCKED DURING THE DAY! We are both property owners and tax payers here. I frequent state parks, county parks, and national parks all over our great country and this is the first-time I’ve ever encountered bathroom facilities LOCKED DURING THE DAYLIGHT HOURS and most especially on the weekends.
Well maintained, small but comfortable RV park in the heart of Ft. Lauderdale. Very easy interstate access. Downside is the high speed rail line that runs all night.
Beautiful public park. Very fun pitch and putt disc golf course on the property.

Words can not explain how much Blessed Sacrament Church Blessed my family and I. With my water off and the power due that day I had all but given up what little hope I had to paying both. Putting my pride away I got on my phone and Google and God lead me to them. As soon as I left a message I got a call back and like that they took care of both. I am still in shock at how fast God worked to solve my problem that was so big for me but nothing for him to handle.
Beautiful mass, message and music! I always leave feeling full of hope and joy! I attend mass here, whenever possible!
I needed an place to stay because I recently became homeless and being the fact that I'm an single black girl on the street is quite scary. Father Bob and his staff at the church made it their job for me to feel safe and protected. Honestly I couldn't pick an better place to be. Thanks father Bob. Thank you so much 💋
I recently attended Sunday Mass while visiting my family . I am from NY and Pastore Bob immediately welcomed me to the parish . The parish is warm, energetic and inviting . Extremely upbeat and positive feeling the music allows the parish to engage . At the end of mass the Pastore spent time talking with the parishioners he invited everyone to pray together . I left mass feeling truly touched and welcomed . Definitely visit the church and don’t miss Sunday Mass !!! Thank you 🙏☀️❤️
Great church, it’s helped me through some tough times and fed my family when I was out of work. The adjacent park is a great place for the kids and I to walk around and enjoy fresh air. Father bob has always spoken kindly and helped me and my family.
I called father Bob for advice and help in a situation where only the words of god is what you wanted to hear and only hear it to help me or guide me through the situation my family and I are going through. I thought a father a priest wouldn’t deny help or the words of god to a family looking for help or to anyone but I was wrong father bob denied my family and I the help we need just because he didn’t know us and we didn’t go to the church ? How is that possible ? My family and I have been to that church multiple times with are good friend Norma and her family and we thought father bob was such a nice priest but we was wrong everything father bob does in mass is all act he showed his true colors yesterday and like it says in the Bible — Luke 6:38, NIV In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” But sadly we were rejected and didn’t get the helping hand we were asking for I truly hope that father bob knows he is doing wrong and asked for forgiveness I’m never going back to this church nor recommending this church to no one.
I am in a lower income bracket, and have 2 young children living with me. My daughter overdosed, and I took my grandchildren in, so as not to have them go through the system. Pat is the wonderful woman, distribites food to low income,, and homeless families.. who stands out in the hot sun, every Friday to give food to families in need. We'll, this time was the most horrific experience I've ever had, at any church, that . I have a friend in town, on vacation, from Indiana, and he was kind enough to drive me to the church, par on the side, and wait for me, as I am a walk up. I don't own a car, and take 2 busses to get there. She came stamping over to the car, when we pulled up, and started accusing me of, basically, taking from church. I would never do that, nor would I ever, disrespect a person, the way she distesped me. I will not tolerate being accused of something I haven't done. There was a woman, older than myself, who asked if I wanted some of her items, being she didn't use them, and didn't want them to go to waste. She flowed me to the car with those items. I graciously thanked her, and we went on our way. I have called the church to speak with The priest, and have been told to call Monday his direct line. I have also called Fort Lauderdale, Broward Archdiocese. The last calli made was to the better business bureau. I know the church is funded by the county/state for the beautiful sanctuary they have there. It's truly a wonderful place for wildlife to feel safe. I will not stop, until I get an apology, for her horrific behavior. No Christian, I know speaks to another human being, like she spoke to me. She also mad certain go tell me, she would not serve me today, if my friend from Indiana, didn't get on the car line. I have never been so embarrassed to be a part of the cathic family, as I was today. Something needs to be done. I have seen her treat walk up horribly, and never thought I would be one of them. I've treated her with kindness and respect ALWAYS. I would hope something is done immediately. My family in New York, are looking into other things for me to follow up with. That is to be sure, she is held liable for her horrible actions. I have never taken anything extra, and have said often, to please keep that extra bread or cream, for someone else, who may need it more. Thank you for all the help that your church has given me. I hope to still be able to come on Fridays. One more thing I've noticed. She picks and chooses who gets cards from Publix, and McDonald's. She has denied me a couple of times, and given the person behind me one, stating she had no more.... Not very Christian of her. Please address this situation. I'm putting this out all over media, if it isn't addressed in a timely manor. I spent the last hour crying because, I could Not understand, what I had done wrong... Kim Carfagno. I've been coming for 1 year, and couldn't have made it, without the help from your wonderful chirch
They really contribute to good mental health by providing good old fashion love unconditionally ...and they are just on the other side of the bridge separating the beach.

Hope! Oakland Park is a poorly educated, high crime, very low income city adjacent to Fort Lauderdale. This makes the Ethel M. Gordon library all the more important in improving literacy and bringing hope to this blighted city. The library is decently sized and serves as a community focal point dedicated to improving literacy. I applaud the efforts and those willing to travel to the area and volunteer.
I used like this library but I was leaving early today and I asked the librarian if the library closes today at 4 and she started arguing with me saying no at one. The librarian was so rude and all she could have said we usually close at 4 but this is our Christmas hours.
We are locals. I take my son to the library and the park to play on our free time. I like the library. I just don't like the lady in charge of the kids section. She has been rude to me on many occasions. The one time she walked up to my son to tell him to use a lower voice. You should be addressing to me not my son. Disrespectful. They have a sand box on top of the carpet that has a sign and it says don't let your child spill sand outside the box. The sand box has a screen that changes pictures. Make sure you don't touch it. She said; "You wasn't supposed to do that" when I touched it. Rude. Meanwhile there was on other Dad with his kid and she is being super nice to him. Even telling him about programs the kid can go to. My kid is 5 and because he is big in size she assumes I dont deserve the same treatment? I just don't even want to go there anymore. I hope the summer camp is better with the parents.
Very convenient if you need to study , use the printer , get some books , I really recommend and appreciate.
Just about everything you can ask for from a public library. Notable mentions are the elaborate children's section that was recently taken over by Ms Maria - tons of toys, games, books, puzzles, computers, art, dress up, coloring, educational tablets, and various family friendly special events & programming with excellent turnout! This library clearly prioritizes early childhood literacy, by allowing any child who can vaguely write their name to obtain a library card. A diverse & dedicated staff is almost always overwhelming compassionate & helpful to patrons of all backgrounds - you will feel safe & welcome here. However, the facilities are very dated, like the rest of those in Oakland Park, & are overdue (hehe)(by the way no more overdraft fees at this library!) for a state of the art, totally upgraded, impeccably designed, accessible to all building(s). EMG library is ostensibly slated for a relocation as part of the city's centennial overhaul, but any thing less than a brand new blockbuster building would be unacceptable for such a pivotal service to the community.
Clerks don't do much to keep this place feeling like a library: people eating and sleeping on desks....people having loud conversations on their phones or listening to computer audio too loud...and nobody around to correct this..funny part is: there isa poster at the very entrance, with these rules..sad!
Oakland Park Library has no had a children's librarian in a while. Maria's warm and caring nature is a great choice for them. We met her last week and the children are already willing to come back. We're really excited because we're already seeing changes.
The Librarians, Staff, Volunteers and patrons raise up all who connect in person or by phone to this Treasury, Free Nation, Hospital, Institution of Higher Learning, Kids space, Incubator, Community Hub, water fountain and LIBRARY. I heard talk by city planners in 2019 that the library is only important to a bunch of older women. Wow. That would make it the safest, smartest, most welcoming place one could hope to be. Very cool place. Thank you.

Nice walking trail in the middle of Oakland Park. 2 larger than life beautiful portraits and plaque honoring Jaco Pastorius, a native son of SE Florida. Park is On Leash dog friendly & clean. Entrance has a water feature which lights up at night
I am going to give this park high marks for a few reasons. First, they maintain this park very well. There is a circular quarter mile trail that you can. The park has some great landscaping and grassy areas where you can sit down and enjoy a nice day. I find the murals on the park building very well done. You will also find many dogs walking in the morning and in the evening. There is a water fountain that greets you. The park closes at dark and is locked.
One of the best parts I've ever been to with my dog. A lot of people with their dogs go and all of them are well-behaved well 95% of them. Very clean and the people are amazing.
Jaco Pastorius Park is a wonderful destination that deserves a solid 4-star rating. This park, located in Oakland Park, Florida, offers a peaceful and serene atmosphere that's perfect for unwinding and enjoying nature. Jaco Pastorius Park is also known for its live music events and performances- Latin Festival - Movie Nights 🎥
Jaco Pastorius is an absolute legend. Incredible virtuoso that is the Jimi Hendrix of bass. The park is a beautiful tribute to a local hero who should always be remembered.
I wouldnt really call it a park, but it is a nice place to come an jog, walk or even ride your bike. If you have well behaved pets it's a good place to bring them.
Park is well maintained but people do not obey that a dog must be on a leash city ordinance. Often times large dogs are running wild. The city needs to patrol regularly. If a person or another dog ends up getting bitten a lot of people will be sued.
The best place to take your dog! Here is my Murphi after getting a good frisbee workout.
