Art museum
Museums
Celebrated museum & performing arts center highlighting the work of contemporary artists since 1999.

I'm not into some modern art, but I feel like Mass MoCA does a really good job curating a wide variety of things, and they have a beautiful space to display them that really highlights them. I enjoy creative 3D or immersive art and this place is perfect for displaying it. They also change out exhibits so I saw almost entirely new things. I will say the museum is sometimes difficult to navigate due to the floor layout, but if you ask for help, all of the employees are very helpful. The ones who have learned in depth about the areas they are covering and give you very good insights on the meanings of the works are great. It makes me appreciate and understand the pieces so much more. Not to mention the booklets that go with that go with the bigger exhibits, they're fun to collect and you can learn more about the artists. Other plus I like that there is free and easy parking and the entry fee is very reasonable.
Very unique museum - inside and out! We went in a few hours prior to an evening concert and wished that we had budgeted more time, because we didn't get to see all of the exhibits. Hourly guided tours are available if you're looking for a more in depth look at some of the art showcased there. I highly recommend a visit if you have the opportunity!
An amazing museum in the middle of nowhere! The renovation of this museum is spectacular, and we really enjoyed our visit. It’s huge, so we didn’t manage to see everything, but the artworks were beautiful, and some were truly surprising. One of the highlights was being part of a piece: you could leave your wish in a box, and once a week the artist incorporates them into the artwork—so clever! We drove an hour to see this museum, and it turned out to be a wonderful surprise.
I'm not big into modern or contemporary art, but my daughter loves coming to the kid space to make art projects. It's free and they have different art projects. I would definitely recommend bringing your kids if you're looking for something to do with them. Plus you get the added bonus of checking out the old industrial buildings of North Adams. Or look at some "art" if you're so inclined.
Mass MoCA was a great time. Spend the good part of a day there if you can. So many buildings to explore with all different kinds of art. This time there was even a tea drinking immersive exhibit which was delicious and thought provoking. Another favorite was our Milky Way fashioned out of lights, and a fun collection of New York notables around the punk era. I love getting lost here.
MASS MoCA is one of my favorite places in the world. There is so much art that you will need to spend at least two days to see everything. It’s an amazing museum for people of all ages…especially good for babies and young kids who like to make art. The kids can run around outside or go into the free artmaking space. Babies love looking at all the bright colors, big shapes, and strange rooms. For young adults, it’s a really cool spot to meet a friend or lover because you can walk around in the AC, just chatting about all the artworks. Plenty of intriguing things to keep the conversation flowing. Grab an ice cream cone. For older adults, you can think of this as your own private paradise where you can speak as loudly or as quietly as you want, grab an affordable and delicious meal at Lickety Split, buy gifts for everyone in your life at the two awesome gift stores, and get an education in contemporary art.
We came to see the New York State of mind photo exhibit. We saw many other fascinating art including the heart of a glacier exhibit. The building and the museum and it's sub buildings are magnificently fascinating labyrinthian. The staff are all over the place and very helpful. At times they needed to tell us where we were in the museum. I personally also liked the very dark room that you couldn't see anything and it would growl at you. Lastly we got something from the art dispenser. It's a magnificently small but very interesting and colorful painting of a cat.
I've been here several times. The exhibits are ever changing so it's always a treat to walk through the buildings. I attended a discussion from two author/artists which was thought-provoking. They've opened new buildings since I was there a few years ago. The lickety split cafe has delicious and reasonably priced food so you don't need to bring your own lunch. Definitely worth a visit. I was moved to upgrade my day pass to a membership.

An abandoned marble quarry with a naturally formed arch & a man-made dam, both of white marble.
Slide 1 of 8
We stopped at this nice little, historic, state park yesterday. It had some beautiful autumn scenery, while offering historical knowledge of the areas past. They have picnic tables on site. There are bathrooms inside the information building. There is also hiking here available too. We had no problem finding parking. It was nice to be able to go here and not have to pay a fee.
Family, kid friendly but too many fences are blocking the view. I would like to see that place in a more natural untouched way. Good for a 30 minutes hike but nothing longer.
Great little free state park, donations accepted. Awesome staff, clean restrooms, plenty of picnic places. Come for the bridge stay for the hikes! Make sure to hike down to where the brook and river meet and learn the history!! The nature trail was great too. Fact signs abound!!
I had planned to visit the Elk Memorial at sunrise and continue east, so the 9 AM opening time here wasn’t ideal. Still, I’m glad I came back later, because this turned out to be one of my favorite stops on the Mohawk Trail. You’ll find the only white marble dam in North America, the only natural white marble arch, sweeping views of the old marble quarry, and fascinating insights into how water shaped the land. Highly recommend a visit!
Wonderful short walk with a beautiful & unique marble crevasse, marble rocks, abandoned quarry with dramatic clifflike face, white marble dam, and historical information. Cannot see the natural bridge. NOT DISABILITY ACCESSIBLE. Very small visitor center with loudly gossiping and inattentive staff. Bathrooms and an excellent diorama of the quarry in action circa 1940s are available in the visitor center.
The former Marble quarry was a pleasant surprise. Knowing that we were standing on a 550 million year old bedrock witnessing nature's beautiful artwork carved by over 13,000 years of erosion was humbling. Beautiful.
Interesting local attraction. Abandoned marble mine with some interesting geologic features.
So amazing. This park is one of the coolest I've been to since moving out here from the Midwest. Don't miss out on this beauty. Going at the end of the tourist season was awesome. We spent 25 mins in the Noisy Cave before running into another set of people. This park is truly beautiful!

What a great brewery! Atmosphere was welcoming with large outdoor space to eat and play yard games.Food truck was an unexpected surprise.Good variety of entertainment for all ages. Beer was exceptional! Will definitely tell friends to check it out!
Really great atmosphere, enjoyed Czechs out their small batch seltzer a lot but was sad I couldn’t get any seltzer cans to go. Highly recommend!
When it comes to grabbing a great local made brew, enjoying outdoor seating, and making new friends, you can’t beat it! Everything form “beer that tastes like beer” to funky fun stuff that teases the tastebuds. Cheers!
I’ve long enjoyed periodically visiting this brewery for its very good beer and nice atmosphere in this old industrial complex. The brewing team clearly knows their craft, making it a place I genuinely look forward to visiting. Most reviews reflect that. Unfortunately, a recent interaction with a staff member at the counter completely spoiled the experience. When ordering, I asked a simple, clarifying question about one of the brews. Instead of a helpful or even neutral response, I was met with an immediate air of defensiveness and disregard. Not only did the server dismiss the basic understanding I offered about the beer style, but the answer she provided in return was demonstrably incorrect regarding the brewing process. This interaction raises a serious question about customer-facing roles in the service industry: What is the purpose of working at a company whose primary goal is hospitality if you spoil the customer's enjoyment? When a staff member not only lacks the fundamental product knowledge required to answer a basic question but then reacts unprofessionally to a guest, it undermines all the quality work done by the rest of the team. While the beer here is excellent, the experience was very disappointing. Management should invest in comprehensive product training and coaching on positive guest interaction, as a bad attitude and poor knowledge at the counter are enough to make me hesitate before returning. I give this one star because the only reason to visit the place is the atmosphere. Else I can buy a can of craft beer for much less in a shop and drink it with friends and family at home.
Beer was great but the bartender applied a 20% tip when I purchased 2 camping cups... didn't show me the screen for tip select and just showed me total on the debit terminal. It was a $4.80 tip he gave himself for merchandise I purchased. Boo on that.
Hi there, I wanted to share a quick experience I had when I called to ask a simple question about your beers—specifically whether any of them were vegan or free from animal-derived ingredients like lactose or isinglass. Instead of being met with understanding or curiosity, the response I received felt dismissive and condescending. I was spoken to as though my question was strange or burdensome, and the tone left me feeling embarrassed and disrespected. I ended the call politely, but even my thank-you was met with what sounded like forced sarcasm. I say this not to attack, but because people are becoming more conscious of what they consume—for ethical, health, and spiritual reasons. A question like mine shouldn’t be met with disdain. I hope you’ll take this as an opportunity to train your team to meet all customer inquiries with kindness and professionalism. It matters. Thank you, A hopeful (and now hesitant) customer
Good brews right in the Mass Moca complex. Has outside seating and does flights. Pleasant staff. Doesn’t have food but you can order right across the courtyard from Big Daddy’s which specializes in Philly Cheesesteaks and other pub grub including vegetarian options.
Nice little brewery in a touristy area. Very good beer and a cool atmosphere. Definitely worth stopping by for a really good beer. The DIPA is a must drink.

I haven't been here in years. Live in Pittsfield and only come up here once in a while. It was nice to cool off in this heat but I didn't know you have to pay but they let me go. I would come here again but for the day I would also camp.
Best experience here really amazing nature and more to experience
Gorgeous little Lake , and a good spot to just throw a towel down on the grass near the beach and kick back and unwind
What a great place to enjoy the water and get a swim in! Plenty of shade or sun depending on what you want and a nice little beach and lots of swimable water. Wish the snack bar was open more.
A great place to take kids to the beach! The playground structure is geared towards older kids, but there is plenty of fun for the under-5 set to have exploring the water. There's also a really good frisbee golf course for the grown-ups!
Great place to bring the kids and fish. Concerts on Wednesday nights during the summer. They have a concession stand open during the summer. Historic Valley Campground is on the backside of lake. Tent sites and RV sites available. Some sites have electricity and running water.
A very pretty local lake. Great for bring your kids for a swim or a picnic. They have a lifeguard during the day in the summer. Also, free concerts all summer long on Wednesday nights at 6:30 with local musicians.
Nice place to go swimming, fishing, kayaking, picnicking with a pavilion, picnic tables, and a few grills. Newer playground there also.

This was my second time visiting the museum which is a bit hidden in the center of the park (building 4) but worth finding. This time I brought my dad, an engineer who was interested in learning more about the building of the Hoosic tunnel after reading "Buried Dreams." The same knowledgeable park ranger, Robert Campanile, was there with the same enthusiasm about the building of the tunnel and the town of Adams. The film portrays the fascinating true story of the building of the tunnel. I also enjoyed learning more about trains a d the local area We also ate at the Freight Yard which was very popular and quite tasty.
I am absolutely fed up with this “State Park” being “temporary “ closed! It has been over 2 years it has been “temporary “ closed. Maura Healy and her “effeciant “ state government. One and done in my book.
It's absolutely beautiful in North Adams lots of nature and mountain views close to the ski resorts and hiking trails just ignore the local riff raff and focus on the beauty.
Very informative history. Free! ( donations accepted). Learn about the tunnel and the innovations and setbacks and disasters, the railroad industry and the politics involved, about immigration maonly in the 1800s, and how the first settlers to the area lived in the 1700s.
Go drive through the Berkshires and enjoy the beauty of nature! Late Sept and early October will be perfect for foliage!
Lovely spot. Be sure to check out the North Adams Historical Society and the Train Museum and grab a burger and pint at the freight yard pub.
Still CLOSED!!!!! Not impressed with the people responsible for this park 5/7/24
Closed the train museum. Sad I didn't get to show it to my little boy who loves trains.

Absolutely beautiful building, very helpful and friendly staff. Clean, organized, quiet.
I don't live in North Adams, but this library is wonderful for the area. Besides having a wonderful kids area with numerous books and toys, they also have a beautiful interior with sections for every age and interest. The librarians are wonderful, friendly, and incredibly helpful. There's always activities and groups to attend, I wish more teenagers would go so programs can keep running (low attendance is an issue for several of the clubs). My only issue is the lack of parking; not sure how/if that could be improved. Check out their Facebook for current events and then check out a book or two.
Such a lovely library! I stopped in to visit and read some magazines. They had a great collection. There are a couple of rooms that are gorgeously decorated. It was a lively place with many people coming in and out and even a knitting group met there. It looks like they have some great community programs there.
Great people staff this place! Good place to play D&D, on Wednesday night. Join the astronomy club!
Very well put together. Staff was more than helpful even with other activities going on, including a job fair. One of the better serviced libraries I have visited.
We love our gorgeous public library. They have a good selection, access to Kanopy and great programming.
My first time visiting the library today and everyone was super nice and welcoming . very comfortable and good vibes . Definitely a good place to go even if you’re just stopping in to say hello . Thank you will certainly be back soon
I've been coming to the North Adams Public Library ever since I was born. As a child, my mother brought my brother and I for the children stories. As we grew up, we visited the Library quite often. I volunteered there for a summer and everyone was amazing. This Library is one of my favorite things in all of North Adams.

I see some negative reviews here so I’ll address their issues first. The views .. they are not spectacular. If you are looking for that this may not be for you. It’s a track out and back. So don’t expect some long mountain journey .and yes they stop at the crossing without gates to flag traffic and keep everyone safe . It a nice slow trip so if you want speed try Amtrak🤷🏻‍♂️😆 These cars are vintage and amazing ,RDCs are unique and wonderful bits of history. Being able to Ride in one was a great experience. But you know what comes with old historic trains ? Smaller spaces and old accommodations. We had plenty of room ourselves so it wasn’t an issue . And yes the AC isn’t comparable to what you may have in your car . It’s a 1950s car. Expect it to be old . Now if you’re a train fan getting to experience an RDC will be the highlight ! Friendly and knowledgeable volunteers as well. We loved the experience. Just do your research and make sure this is what you are looking for . 😊 but I do highly recommend giving it a try . Just know what to expect . The history and riding the way our parents and grandparents did many years ago .
We rode their new 1953 Budd car, today was the first day it was in operation. It's not a particularly interesting train, it's only 70 years old and it was just a commuter train car. The staff is informative and did a terrific job. We took the past peak foliage trip. This wasn't a great year for color but never the less the views are great, there are mountains on both sides of you.
Thought we would be riding in a long train, through the mountains but we turned out to be only a single car that was passengers as well as the engine of the train. Which was really cool except the train that we just happened to be in, it's AC didn't work and of course it was a wicked humid sunny day. I thought it was awesome, The whole tour in the history of the train in that area of Western Massachusetts, I was like a little kid in a candy shop. We even stopped at an old train yard and checked out some really cool trains and got to walk through some of the compartments and even see how a diesel engine train started. When we got to go into where the conductor would sit and got the blow the whistle and toot the horn.
Great experience for the whole family! Kids will love this and it’s not hectic at all. Parking is easy and it’s a short walk through the building with the bathrooms and then behind to the left across the street you will see the trains. Keep walking up the rail trail path and turn at the sign, the first train car is the ticket and gift shop area. The train car is warm and clean with ample seating for you and your family. Four people can sit facing each other and the seat backs can flip on some to change the seating. The scenic view is really the houses and industrial area between Adams and North Adams but it’s a train ride that includes Mrs Klaus and Santa himself! The kids and family can take photos with them and each child receives a coloring book as a toy. The stop in Adams provided Free (included in your ticket) hot chocolate, s’mores and a chance for a photo op in front of the train! The ride back Santa and Mrs Klaus depart at there own station and it’s all in reverse back to the station! It’s worth the ticket if you are looking to get into the holiday spirit and take your kids to see Santa! I tried to include photos to show the experience in its entirety! You can also purchase a Christmas tree at the lot during your stop but you have to go to another location to pick it up about 10 minutes from the Train Station.
It’s really bad experience. No scenic view . Just garbage and cemetery you can see . Waist of money and time .
My girlfriend purchased a special drive the train experience. We were never contacted, no answer on emails or call back. We got a confirmation of the purchase and that was it. 350$ gone. I'm all for helping a volunteer organization but if you can't make the event happen refund the people. A sorry we couldn't make this happen would been nice too.. but nope
This train ride was awful! We drove an hour and a half to get there and then we were so disappointed! We were a party of four and we were sitting face to face so close. Once you got your legs intertwined with each other there was no moving. Very uncomfortable and all we saw were old buildings, Cumberland Farms, 7 Eleven, houses and an old cemetery. Definitely false advertising! We saw more foliage on our drive there than on the train! Save your money!
Everyone was super friendly and the ride was okay but not what I expected. There are no real views of the trees. Most of the ride is spent between buildings and run down industrial sites. It may be more fun for little kids but if you're looking for views of the fall foliage you're better off skipping this and going to the top of Mount Greylock. Amazing views from the Veterans War Memorial.

For New England history buffs, this is one of the best local Historical Society museums I've been to. They have many artifacts from North Adams's history as a factory town (home first to Arnold Printworks textile factory and subsequently the Sprague Electric manufacturers.) Fantastic history display of the East West railroad expansion to the northern Berkshires and beyond

Loved it. I understand this style of art isn't for everyone, but I throughly enjoyed the juxtaposition of walking among the art in such a beautiful setting. You can tell how much time and thought went into making each space. The rotating galleries were wonderful as well. I think we spent about an hour looking at everything. I only wish I knew at the time I was speaking with the artist, so I could have told him how much his art spoke to me! The second location, a very short walk away, was also incredibly worth the visit. I'm so glad he mentioned it or I would have missed out. I've never experienced anything like it and can't recommend it enough!
Affordable and interesting but sadly the basement exhibits are molding and there is visible water damage/drainage issues. This may be due to the recent flooding issues in New England but something needs to be done ASAP to save the art. Until the mold is gone they should not allow visitors downstairs.
My child was given a spot and then it was taken away, so much for reaching kids with the inability to pay, right. So disappointed and upset for my child.
Small local art museum. in an old converted church. We were at Mass MoCA which is just several blocks away, so we drove over. Several interesting exhibits and pieces. Not worth a trip unless you are in town. They have a second converted church a block and a half away with a rather odd (creepy) installation. If there worth the walk over.
Mold is part of the experience people don't be a wuss
Nice funky modern art museum in a church. Mostly focuses on the art of the man who bought the church but other interesting exhibits as well. Small, takes maybe an hour or so to go through.
Signs of water damage in basement, musty/mildew odor throughout.
An unexpected gem across from the North Adams Public Library.

This is the gateway to the North end of the Appalachian Trail in North Adams. Cross the street from the parking lot to walk up a private driveway into the forest as you enter the trail. This was a little confusing at first but the "A" on the driveway and good signage points it out.
They NEED to take down the old posts that tell hikers they can park in the Greylock Club parking lot. Greylock Club is will to take hikers information for emergency reference, for free, but DO NOT allow parking for non-members.
Clarification (as waypoint in wrong spot) : parking is actually across from the Greylock Community Club and replaces the former parking at the community club to make room for parking for the Greylock Works venue space, etc.
Had a handy cap card and got to park there. Otherwise there wasn't any room to park

Great walk along a ridge. The only views are at an opening with a bench. We did not make it to Spruce Hill, ran out of time.
Not a difficult hike but you will still feel it. Approximately two good view points at Spruce Hiil and Sunset. Not as SCENIC as some other hiked. Small trail for other hikers going the opposite way. You will have to step aside. Small parking lot.
Easy to moderate trail winding up from parking lot to a bench with views (about .8 miles) or continue along mostly ridge walk to Spruce Hill for amazing panoramic views.
The bnrc website says the hike to spruce hill is difficult. It's not, moderate to easy at best. Mostly well marked trail until the very end when it connects with a blue trail and you need to figure out which way to the summit, but when it doubt go up. Some slightly overgrown parts but still easy to maneuver, but you might want to wear long pants bc they are thorn bushes. Nice lookouts at 4 different places but the one at the top of spruce hill is definitely the best. Great views of Mount Greylock from there and down into the valley.
I really enjoyed this hike. It is relatively level and for long stretches you are in the forest with no real views. As you approach Spruce Hill, however, you catch more and more glimpses of the views to come. Spruce Hill itself is magnificent, with distant views that include Mount Greylock; the towns of Adams, North Adams, and Williamstown; and more.
The Hoosac Range Trail to Spruce Hill is a lovely hike! The slope is fairly gentle the whole way except for a very short section right below the summit. The woods are beautiful, and there are a series of interesting moss and fern covered schist outcroppings along the way. The views from the summit are outstanding! There is an unobstructed panoramic view of Greylock. Well worth the trip!
Perfect trail for little kids. My 3 Y/o was able to do the sunset rock loop trail without being carried. Very mild incline and no bugs on our late August trip
Beautiful hike, especially in winter. Nice summit view and lots of interesting rocks and views along the way.

My family had so much fun here! Bowling was fun, the golf simulator was cool, and the bar/pub inside was super accommodating! The bartender didn't know what was in the drink I ordered, but made an amazing Caribou Lou after I told her what it was.
I want to share my opinion about my visit to the bowling alley. The service provided by the man with no hair was poor. It would be great if he received training to improve his patience and empathy towards customers, especially families with children.
So, I'm a advid bowler. Travel to Chicopee, Great Barrington and even East Longmeadow to practice and just to throw a ball in a non competitive atmosphere. I drove 35 minutes because I seen they were open. I get there they were open, so I proceeded to go in and I notice must have 2 ppl to bowl. I got to the desk and was told need 2 ppl to bowl. I hit them with ill pay your regular price per game. And I was still told no. The part that gave me bad vibes was there was 26 available lanes out of 30. And ligit 2 ppl in line to also bowl. Like I didnt know business was that good were you could turn me away. Was gonna join the scratch league on thursday night next year but pffff forget that. Ill bring business someone else where it's appropriate . I remember why it's been 20 years since I bowled there.
Great Bowling - terrible “All Around” entertainment. I cannot believe the Very poor managed facility with regards to the bowling alley. In order to get food, while bowling, one must venture their way through a bar and try to wave down only one of a very few busy bartenders to place a food order. After spending more than 10 minutes waiting on a bartender to finally take my order my food was delivered to the lane, however nobody said my food was there so it sat getting cold until I went up top to see that my food was delivered. I spoke to the cashier about why the bowling alley portion of the establishment, which by the way had the majority of customers present, didn’t have any service. He politely said you must just go to the bar to order food. It blows my mind that this place doesn’t cater to the bowlers, due to it being a bowling alley, but rather caters to the bar. The management can’t see the trees through the Forrest. Very Sad! I guess they go off the notion that this is the only thing in town so one will come and visit. Not the way I would think about customer service. Anyway Good luck. Bottom line - Great place - terrible management!
The bowling part was great, but the few games they had there stole all my kiddos money, so he was upset about that. Love the blacklight and lights, and the jams were good for my 90s self.
We went to the bowling alley this morning only to find out they wern't open. My 2.5 year old son and I are visiting from NY and I have been promising to take him bowling. We were also meeting my cousin and her two kids there. I thought Valley Park would be perfect for his little hands (we don't have candelpin bowling in NY) and he was heartbroken that we would have to leave. A man that works there came outside to straighten up and when I told him our sad story he opened the bowling alley for us to bowl. He said he would be there doing a few things and he would open up a lane for us to bowl. I was overwhelmed by his kindness and generosity. Why a wonderful show of excellent customer service. Needless to say we had a fantastic time and will definitely go again (during normal business hours) whenever we are in town. I never caught his name, but to the man who opened for us, thank you so much!! Watching my son hurl the ball down the lane was pure joy.
Our lane kept messing up um NOT OUR FAULT he made a comment what are yall doing I looked at hubbie and said going home never going back that is so rude but that happens to us alot at certain establishments
It's always a blast! There are a ton of lanes so you don't feel cramped or surrounded by other people. I love this place. A+. Great bowling.

Went here for brunch and it was unexpectedly amazing. Bloody Mary rivaled the best I’ve had anywhere, salmon toast was generous and delicious, and radiation bread French toast with fresh fruit was amazing. Not cheap, but not complaining. In an old warehouse with makers and artisans and a distillery. Plus really cool outdoor area that wasn’t open this early in the season. Definitely worth a stop.
I have to give the owners credit, this is an incredibly ambitious project, The mill space has to be at least 25,000 square feet. They have shops, restaurants, and a large open event space. The other side of the complex is the loft/apartment living area. It's clear that a lot of work has already been done to clean up the grounds and install walking infrastructure as the grounds themselves are very well done. It just Excited to see where this project goes!
We are still over the moon from our October wedding at Greylock WORKS! We loved the industrial and open-concept look of the Weave Shed, and many of our guests commented how much they loved having ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing in the same space. It was perfect for our 200-guest wedding. We can’t wait for our professional photos – the Weave Shed and the exterior of the building made for a gorgeous backdrop! Sophia was so helpful answering all the many questions we had during our 18-month planning process. We’d recommend Greylock WORKS in a heartbeat!!
An absolutely gorgeous venue. Beautiful natural light and a blank slate to create your own vision. The owners are wonderful to work with as another vendor.
We were privileged to get to use Greylock Works (specifically The Engine House) for our rehearsal dinner and worked with Matt directly. We really enjoyed using the beautiful room to host an intimate dinner, and we were able to make our event come to life thanks to Matt. The huge windows around sunset made for an amazing evening!
We had our Holiday party here and it was a great venue. Bring lots of cash if you want to drink though, $12 mixed drinks and $10 for an IPA. Great assortment of appetizers and dessert trays. The dinner was good too.
My husband and I got married at Greylock Works in July and cannot say enough good things. We first picked Greylock Works because it was a gorgeous space that we viewed as a "blank slate" that we could make all our own for our wedding day. The space is absolutely beautiful - spacious, with wood and beams and large windows and white walls - a true photography dream. We also loved the wedding planning experience - we were working with true, caring people and having conversations about the event (not just checking boxes as we felt with many other wedding industry venues we encountered). Matthew and the team worked extremely hard to ensure the event went smoothly and all our guests commented on how wonderful Greylock Works is - many of our family and friends have said they'll be back to North Adams in the future :)
My husband and I got married at Greylock Works in November and had such a wonderful experience. We originally booked pre-pandemic, and so ended up adjusting our plans to get married in The Engine House with just immediate family. Sal and the crew at Greylock Works were so helpful in working with us to rethink our event and be helpful given the circumstances. I am a professional planner so I’ve worked with Greylock Works in that capacity and had always noted how helpful they were in accessing and understanding the space. My husband and I picked Greylock Works because of its fresh, modern and urban feel and that (since it’s more of a blank canvas) you can really add personality and lots of design touches. Greylock Works also offers tables and chairs that are modern and beautifully crafted. The team at Greylock Works put a lot of care and attention into beautifully and respectfully restoring the mill into a beautiful and modern event space. We can’t say enough about our positive experience there and we have warm memories of the beautiful campus!

What an incredible gallery! We were visiting Williamstown and found this gem. I fell in love with a hand-knitted white sheep and had the idea of getting it for my sister in black. We have a theme of black sheep in our lives. I posed my idea to Brenda Fitzgerald and she was so enthusiastic! Brenda provided the most outstanding service possible, coordinating with the Knitters in Kenya. The result was this adorable creature and my sister whose pleasure was palpable. Thank you so much, Brenda!
This is a combination store, and fine art and photography gallery. The main store is located downstairs and has fine art and crafts selected personally by the owner from Africa and around the world. Quality appears to be very high- the pieces we purchased from the main store are. The main store is a very unique collection that is worth a trip. Upstairs you will find exceptional photography and other fine works of art. The price range varies from inexpensive, to what you would expect to pay for a fine piece of art.
My honey bought me one of the beaded chicken figures from Roam! It was love at first sight (him and the chicken), and every time I look at either of them I find I am smiling inside.
What a fabulous store - overflowing with love and vibes from Southern Africa
Beautiful, unique and exotic objects you won't find anywhere else.
