Nice shopping area with a mix of shops, restaurants, and a grocery store. Ample parking available but can be congested during peak periods. Nice spot to walk around; there is a green space in the center where they occasionally have live music, movies, and Santa Clause during the holidays.
We all enjoyed a wonderful Friday evening listening to music in the outdoor amphitheater…brought chairs, wine and our relaxing attitudes.
Easily accessible from Bohicket Marina and has everything we need for shopping and provisioning!
Beautiful shopping center to visit while in Kiawah. Get groceries, dinner, dessert all your souvenirs. Even a gas station with a car wash.
Better than corporate chain subs. And you get a 6 inch bag of chips and a drink for $7. You can't beat it, watch out subway!
This a great place to stop and walk around before hitting the beach. They have an old style pharmacy/soda fountain that makes you feel like you're in a "Grease" movie set. It's a charming and quaint American village.
Freshfields has just about everything that you need while vacationing. There’s a grocery store, coffee shops, great restaurants, and more. There’s a nice lawn in the center where kids play, and I believe there might also be live events held there.
Beautiful shopping village directly across from the Andell Hotel. Games and evening movies for the kiddies. Live music as well. Pizza, pasta, burgers, beer, and Ben and Jerry's all in one place. Skin care and bookstores also in the village. Quaint, not too crowded. Decent parking. There's also a small parking lot in the back of the village, near the pond.

Paid $25.00 to park. Nice boardwalk to bathrooms/changing rooms. Pretty drive to get to the beach also. We enjoyed this beach. Weekends, go early or in the early evening otherwise lot may be full of cars already.
Very beautiful and clean beach. Has restrooms, changing rooms, shop to buy refreshments, and picnic areas. People are polite and it's not over crowded.
There are tons of beaches around Charleston, but this may be one of my favorites. Yes, you do need to pay to park, but the amenities are very nice. There are lifeguards and condition warnings, there are quality bathrooms and changing areas. The beach itself may not be the biggest, but it is in good repair and has a lot of places that you can walk to. I would not count this location out!
A great place to go to spend a day at the beach. A lot of beach to walk on.
The place is just absolutely stunning. No other beach in the area can simply compare! The dolphins are so friendly and the pretzels at the snack bar are better than Philadelphia’s pretzels 🥨
The beach was clean and peaceful. The restrooms and changing rooms were clean. There was an area to rinse off before heading back to your car, and even a place for fresh water for the dogs. Parking was a bit expensive but all the parking was expensive!
Fantastic beach with thin sand, very comfortable to walk , feel the sea breeze and spend a relaxing moment. There are nice clean restrooms and outdoor showers. Unlike other beaches, this one has very restricted access, I believe there's only 150 parking spots, so plan to arrive early or you'll have to wait long time. We went there on a Saturday at 10am, and the staff put us in a waiting app and had to wait 50 minutes to be called, they text you once a parking spot is available, but you cannot wait in the premises so you'll see yourself just driving around until then. Despite the parking hassles, once you're in everything is perfect! Parking price was 20 dollars on the weekend.
This is my chill mode beach. Usually, it isn't busy, and you're able to walk the beach. The scenery is different from any of the other beaches around. There are not a lot of shells to collect, but not here for that. Well maintained beach, restrooms were immaculate, changing area, rinse off area, rental place open throughout the day, nice walkout area, and Dog friendly, (have to be on a leash) You will not be disappointed if you try it!

It is one of the cutest parks on the island and a family favorite. New playground, tons of parking and overall a very safe place.
The Nest offers amazing selection of coffees, teas and snacks. Great gift shop too. Lots of seating, kid friendly. Park itself is clean and several climbing structures for kids of all ages.
There are endless activities happening here in the summer. There is also a soccer field, disc golf course, and playground. When you arrive check the schedule to make sure that you don't miss anything. You do not have to preregister for many activities, but most activities do have a change.
My kids will never again be able to vacation at a resort with a “regular” pool! This complex is amazing with everything you need for a fun vacation. Besides the pools with kid-friendly water features and slides, the park also has a playground, market and cafe, poolside restaurant with great food and drinks, and fitness center. There are plenty of complimentary towels, lounge chairs, and shaded tables for having a meal. There are family activities throughout the week, and the highlight is the festival every summer Wednesday evening with games, entertainment and $3 ice cream!
This is an amazing park! It has so much stuff going on! On our most recent visit we used the nature center (the one in use right now is temporary until they build a bigger one) and the playground. There Is also disc golf, a pool, a coffee shop, lawn games, a basketball court, a gagaball court, a stage, and so much more that I can't even think of! We will definitely be back often!!
A really nice park with a very impressive grid basketball court. Lots of other activities for littles as well.
The nature center and park alone are worth several trips. We did not stay with the resort while we were on the island. So, we did not enjoy the waterpark. However, the animals, events, playgrounds, and fields are great for people all ages!
Night Heron Park is a very relaxing. Plenty of tables to have picnic lunch. There many planned activities throughout the week for kids and adults. The is swimpool to cool off. The highlight of the park is the Nature Center. They have many of native animals for you see. The nature center staff is wonderful.

Such a fun course. The conditions were perfect. Everyone there was friendly and helpful. Driving range grass hitting areas were in great shape. Electric carts all worked well. The course itself is beautiful. Lots of holes along the water lots of trees and plants make you feel like you're in nature. There are houses but well hidden. Never felt like I was going to hit a house. Greens rolled true and most had some slope but nothing terribly hard. All in all a very fair course for a variety of skill levels. I had a great time and highly recommend it.
We played in late Feb so it was pretty cold and our tee time got pushed to later due to early morning frost. The starter, Larry, was somewhat rude and rigid in his approach to starting players on the first tee. He turned us off to wanting to play this course again. Additionally, there were no Marshall’s asking people to speed up play. We barely got done before the sun went down due to slow play in front of us. The saving of the day is we truly enjoyed the couple we played with from North Carolina and the golf course was lovely.
Awesome golf experience! Fairways and greens lush and smooth. Not so difficult that it took the fun out, yet challenging enough to make you want to go back.
We played Osprey Point during our annual guys’ golf trip to Kiawah Island, and it was an awesome experience from start to finish. The course was in fantastic shape — lush fairways, smooth greens, and just an all-around beautiful layout. Osprey had more of a relaxed, resort-style feel compared to some of the other courses we played, but it still kept things interesting. Wide fairways gave you a little breathing room off the tee, but the bunkering and water hazards definitely made you think on your approach shots. Every hole had its own look and feel, which kept it fun the whole way through. The staff was great, really welcoming and kept everything running smoothly. Pace of play was right on point too — no waiting, no rushing. Osprey Point was a perfect part of an unforgettable trip, and it’s definitely a course we’ll be coming back to next time we’re at Kiawah.
This course is amazing! As someone who has played nearly a quarter of all Golf Digest Top 100 Public courses, it amazes me that this course did not make the last in recent years. The course is in immaculate shape, even for the end of winter. The course is very scenic and provides a lot of challenge, and provides no ounce of gimmicks. You will be challenged with intimidating shots over water, and tight out of bounds markers. But, you will still appreciate plenty of scorable holes. The greens are in fantastic shape, however they are just a little on the slower side. Additionally, I was disappointed in the quality of the courses carts, lacking features, jerkiness with the brakes, and I was disappointed to find that on the first hole our tire was completely flat. Lastly, I was very surprised that the clubhouse offers minimal food options on Sundays throughout the entire day. After being offered a microwavable Jimmy Dean sandwich, I was a little turned off. However, If you have the opportunity to play Osprey Point, I would highly recommend it.
Course was in great shape. Loved the views. Plenty of wildlife. Ranger with cold wet towels was a nice touch on a hot day.
Beautiful, Peaceful, Relaxing. The Veranda at Cherryeood is an amazing place for lunch or dinner. Food is delicious.
Employees of this course run stop signs in their carts— going the opposite direction of play— and nearly cause accidents multiple times a week. Never any apology or even a wave from the old man with AirPods or the cart girl. Today I had a cart nearly collide with me on one of the many areas where the cart path overlaps with a bike path. Get your act together Osprey Point. It’s one thing for tourists to be uninformed but for your staff to do it is a problem.

The Sanctuary is the nicest hotel we’ve stayed at in years. It was my wife’s 70th birthday and they upgraded our room to club level with excellent views of the ocean and one hole on the golf course. Dinner at the Ocean Room was excellent as well as the service. The hotel is expensive but you get your moneys worth with superb food and service. We had great hamburgers at the Ryder Cup Bar outside on the porch w ocean and golf course view. Doesn’t get any better. The coffee shop in the hotel had very good lattes and almond croissants. Service again was excellent. The staff at the hotel are always friendly and really try to please you at all times. We only stayed two nights but are heading back in October to celebrate our anniversary for 3 nights. The hotel is only 30 minutes from Charleston another fun place to visit.
Excellent ocean views from our room, classy hotel and great vibes; staff was friendly and management will go the extra mile for you. Definitely book at least one dinner at the Ocean Room. 5-star all around was our experience! Note: villas on the island are completely unrelated to this hotel, the 1 and 2 star review people are confused somehow and writing reviews in the wrong place.
We tried this place for one night as we are looking for a new regular beach spot to frequent. Incredible property and setting on the beach. Everything is tasteful, attention to detail is outstanding from the heavy towels and robes to the turn down service. Only disappointment was some noise from the room either next to or above us, very late at night. Woke us up for a good hour. I'd expect such an expensive, high-end property to have thicker walls.
I love this place so much! This is my 3rd time here ,and its always amazing! They pay attention to literally every detail! The beach is extremely clean and peaceful, even the busiest months its not crowded or overwhelming at all! The hotel staff is super professional, really a well organized place! I highly recommend staying here!
This is truly an amazing resort, the staff is so accommodating and the attention to detail is outstanding. You can tell everyone here wants you to have the best experience from start to finish. Hotel grounds are so lovely and the restaurants were all great. Having traveled to many resorts this is hands down one of the best. Highly recommend.
I came here to see a concert. I liked the fact that I could use the valet service to park my car even though I was not staying at the resort! The concert area was nice! When they said they treated the outside so that there weren't any mosquitoes, there wasn't a single one-and I thoroughly enjoyed that! Flies-there were a few but not so many that you couldn't eat and enjoy yourself! There was plenty of space to watch the show and dance if you wanted to. The views behind the concert area was the Atlantic Ocean so that was nice plus! If you need to go to the bathroom, be ready to walk to the nearest one...and the bathrooms are gorgeous!! The outside food that they served during the concert was $30 for a hamburger and chips! We ended up going inside and ordering from one of the restaurants and even the kids' meals were starting to $20! I can't eat a lot so I ordered a kid's hamburger meal which came with fries and a drink and let me tell you...that filled me up and it was WAY better than what my friend ordered outside!! I wish I knew what was in the burger meat-lol! This is a very upscale hotel so if you are planning on staying, you are looking at $300+ a night. Getting on the resort was a PAIN because there's only one check-in line and if you are in the wrong line, you are SCREWED!! If you are visiting, stay to the left!! If you need to get there early, plan on arriving at least an hour beforehand! Kiawah island is mostly upscale resorts and golf courses so if you aren't into that, I don't recommend coming here.
Whatever you do not book in the Villas. They have no Regulations on how the owners of the villas take care of their unit. We initially checked in and the AC in the villa that we booked that was newly renovated in the Shipwatch villas did not work and apparently they couldn’t fix it. They put us in a villa that was not even close to the beach and not even comparable to what we had originally rented. Not only was there a cockroach that fell in my daughter there was blood on the sheets, and there was a car in the garbage disposal. They moved us the next day to another villa that was completely dated, but at least was in the area that we wanted and originally rented. This island is supposed to be five star from the hotel to the villa and I am telling you that They should not be renting the villas if they’re not up to standard. They gave us a discount, but they truly don’t care because I have emailed and And given reviews and no one responded.
Had the best facial I’ve ever had and I am super picky! The lady was a doll too so it made it even more amazing, if you get a facial ask for Kat! Shes the best!!!

Excellent course with great views. Our start was delayed due to an early thunderstorm but the staff there was able to get groups up to speed and out on the course in a timely manner. Will definitely be back.
Very fun course and extremely well kept. Some difficult holes, with tight fairways. One of my favorite courses in a while and a great option on Kiawah.
Great course but service lacking this summer. Rain delay on hole 16. Marshall was quite abrupt and rude about exiting the course 30 seconds after horn went off. Cart girl closed us out with maximum tip percentage since we “left the course”, which we hadn’t since trying to ride out delay to finish. Waitress told us she couldn’t get us drinks at patio table but we could walk inside and order ourselves. Couldn’t get drinks at turn (10) with our tab with the cart girl as to “not take business away from halfway house”. Left item in cart and was told they gave it to our son. I don’t have a son…
Like it more than the ocean course. Love that they have water bottles everywhere and great halfway house!
Beautiful! Had a blast. Only able to play 13 holes due to time constraints. Great place to golf and sip on a few with friends.
The most playable course on the island. But that does not mean it is boring or easy... stunning views, yes it is short so if your long you're gonna go less than driver a lot. The holes along the marsh/river are gorgeous. Plenty of room in most places if you are trying to score then it demands a little more. However if you want a stress free round to enjoy a beautiful golf course and hanging with your friends and family while you're getting your golf in, this is it.
Wonderful course. Conditions were perfect and the course had a nice variety of holes (difficulty, dog legs, water, etc.). Had a great time.
Rudest staff at any golf course I’ve played. Tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, but after 54 holes it got progressively worse. Canceled my 4th round because of the rudeness of the bag boys. Save your $220 per round and play somewhere else where they actually care. I will not be returning. Needs improvement.

Did not play golf, but it looks absolutely beautiful and pristine. Watch out for the big alligator too. The restaurant has fantastic views on the back porch, service was excellent and so was the food.
Our annual golf trip with the guys took us to Kiawah Island this year, and Turtle Point definitely did not disappoint. The course was absolutely amazing — one of those tracks you could play over and over and never get tired of it. The layout was super fun. A great mix of challenging holes that made you think, but also a few forgiving ones where you could be a little aggressive. You could really feel Jack Nicklaus’s touch in the design — strategic but very playable. The conditions were top-notch. Fairways were like carpets, the greens rolled fast and true, and the ocean views on a few holes were just incredible. It made even the tough shots easier to laugh off. The staff took great care of us from start to finish, and the pace of play was perfect — never rushed, never waiting around. Just a relaxed, first-class experience all around. Turtle Point was an awesome part of an unforgettable trip, and we’ll definitely be making a point to come back next time we hit Kiawah!
Had an absolute blast playing Turtle Point. This course delivered on every level. I shot my lowest score of the season here (81 from the Blue Tees), and I can see why. The layout is wide open, giving you the chance to be aggressive off the tee without constantly punishing you for it. The conditions were top tier. Greens rolled true, fairways were pristine, and the overall course maintenance was impressive. You can tell the staff takes pride in this place, and it shows. Everyone was incredibly hospitable from start to finish—friendly, helpful, and made the whole experience even better. Also, pro tip: try the chicken salad in the snack shop with some chips. A perfect mid-round pick-me-up. If you’re heading to Kiawah, Turtle Point needs to be on your list. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a rewarding round in a beautiful setting.
Fun course on the ocean, tight fairways, pretty difficult but very fun! Very well kept course!
This is a very well manicured golf course. The clubhouse is pristine. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The starter informed us that this is a very narrow course laid out by Jack Nicklaus. Still reasonable places to lay up and not get into trouble. Trouble may be in the form of alligators.
Course was in great shape. Fairways were some of the best I have ever seen, felt like butter puring a wedge shot. Greens rolled a little slower than expected but nonetheless true. Staff was knowledgeable and friendly.
Incredible golf course! Loved the layout and it was in perfect condition. Greens were receptive but still fast. I'd say Turtle is either 2nd or 3rd best on Kiawah with Ocean being #1 and Osprey the other
Course was in great shape. We had a great time and the three holes on the back 9 was worth the greens fee!! “Chelsy” the “The queen of liquid courage” was great and did a great job of keeping us all hydrated! Looking forward to coming back sooner rather than later!

If I could give zero stars, I would. This resort being advertised as “5-star luxury” is an absolute scam. My family and I stayed in 2 of the 2 bedroom Tennis Club Villas - one “Premier Villa” and one “Deluxe Villa” for a conference. Replace the advertised “luxury, premier and deluxe” with “dated, disgusting, dirty, run down, smelly, and gross”. When we arrived, we were met my the worst musty smells in both units. The first thing we saw when we entered the deluxe villa was a pile of trash and dirty linens that had not been removed by housekeeping from the previous occupants! In addition, the sheets on the twin beds had clearly not been changed between guests as they were rumpled with visible hair, dirt and eyelashes. The king bed had a sheet that was laid over the mattress pad that was too small to tuck in on either side. The blinds in the twin room were broken and could not be lowered. The carpets were stained, dead bugs were behind the nightstands, it felt filthy, damp and disgusting. What we found even more disturbing was that our concerns about our unit’s condition were met with no apologies or real concern. They also required reminders to follow through on things they said they would do. I believe they are so used to hearing complaints, they aren't even phased anymore. We had to go to the main check in villa to pick up a dehumidifier for the unit along with air purifiers, but they did not have a bucket to drain the dehumidifier so they said they would send someone with that (after several reminders, we got the bucket late that night). They eventually sent someone to change the sheets on all the beds and to get the trash several hours after check in. Because of this, someone from our group had to remain available in the unit instead of being with the rest of the family at Night Heron Park. They did not offer to fix the blinds until the next day, so we had to tape blankets up. Their blind “fix” with paper tape up blinds lasted 2 hours…so we ended up using clips to hold curtains in place over windows for privacy. We asked to be moved and were told it was not an option, and that we could be put on a waiting list if another unit was available. We spoke to other guests who arrived later than us and were moved to another unit when they complained that their unit was unacceptable. It made us feel lied to and unimportant. Multiple members of our group were inconvenienced for the first day and a half of our vacation making calls and in-person appearances to dismissive staff and never feeling as if anyone really cared to “make it right”. While the facilities / park areas / biking trails are lovely, we would never recommend staying in the villas unless you have no sense of smell or sight. Do not be fooled by fancy pictures or descriptions on the website.
The resort as a whole is beautiful. I hate giving a bad review, but I would not recommend the villa accommodation at this Resort. I was there for a work conference and left a day early due to the accommodations. I hate that I charged my company for the dump that I was assigned to. If I had been paying with my money, I would have checked out on day 1. The villa was old, musty and decorated in awful outdated 80’s decor. The unit needed a good paint job, new lighting and a deep clean. I would recommend trying a VRBO if you’re not staying at the Sanctuary. This Villa was booked through the resort.
I can't express how much I wanted to pack my bags and leave as soon as we got here. We were here on business, so I couldn't leave. The outside walkway coming up the stairs to the villa, looked like no one had swept it out in a decade. Debri, spider webs, and whatnot littered the entire stairwell. I felt like I was in a Friday, the 13th movie at one of those old cabins. The condo was ok. Pretty much updated but smelled like mothballs. Overall, the villa was clean and located right at the beach. HERE COMES THE KICKER and the reason for a 1 star rating. The whole entirety of our luxurious, 5 star resort stay, we had to listen to beating, banging, machinery whirring and something that sounded close to a jackhammer all day (when we weren't out of the room). I'm not even going to tell you how mad I am right now as I write this review but they shouldn't put people above, under or beside others renovating. I understand that they must do this, but DON'T put people in villas near this crap. If so, they should, by law, have to tell you about the renovations and offer another villa. I wouldn't book through the resort but through Airbnb, etc. We stayed in the Windswept villas. So, you may want to check ahead of time before your stay, see where you'll be and if any renovations are being done. It is a total S-show over here. The island itself is beautiful and I'm glad I got to experience what it offered and the golf ⛳️ was amazing.
The pool and beach were great! Could not have imagined a better resort experience. In unit washer and dryer was amazing and necessary. However, our 3 bed “Premier” villa had a leaking ceiling the entire week in our main living space. Water damage was visible throughout the villa, cob webs, and dead bugs from sub par cleaning. The resort offered to move us to a different villa on the second to last day.
I was very disappointed with the accommodations at the tennis club “premier” villas. We arrived to a front door that was stuck and needed to be forced open revealing a huge scrape on the floor where it had rubbed. We found left over food in the fridge, empty beer bottles on the screened in porch, crumbs on the floor in the kitchen, cob webs and dust everywhere(fans, curtain rods, floor, credenza, etc.) broken shutters in the bedroom, broken exhaust and no bulb or cover over it in the bathroom, broken parts on the washing machine, flat bed sheets just draped over the mattress so they just rumpled up at night because they would not tuck in, dishes in the drawers and cabinets with food stuck on them and stained furniture. When we turned on the vacuum to try and get the crumbs up it smelled like wet dog!! As though all that was not enough the final straw was roaches!! We chose this resort because it is rated as a top 10 in the US, but I would beg to differ. The amount of money we spent to be there was certainly not worth the price by any measure. I was offered a 15% discount but based on our experience I would expect more if not a full refund. On a positive note the grounds were beautiful and the staff members were very polite and attentive. If anyone from the management/quality control team at Kiawah resort is reading this I would appreciate being contacted for review.
Stayed in a Windswept oceanview Villa. The Villa was in disrepair and not very clean. The island itself is beautiful. There is a lot of wildlife around you. The beaches were clean and not crowded. That is the best I can say about the location. The villa was well below my expectation for the price they charge to stay there. Service was awful. When I requested some clean towels for my villa because my dryer would not work I never received them.Front desk staff were not helpful or friendly.
I’m writing to express my deep disappointment regarding the way my family and I were treated by the resort’s management and concierge teams during our recent stay. What was supposed to be a joyful and memorable celebration for my husband’s 60th birthday turned into an incredibly frustrating and upsetting experience. Let me explain what happened: I first reached out to the concierge on March 28th to make dinner reservations and, most importantly, to organize my husband’s birthday dinner for July 19th. I was initially in communication with Alea from the Small Concierge Group. After receiving no further replies, I learned she was no longer with the resort. On May 16th, Kristina from the Sanctuary Concierge took over. From that point on, communication became inconsistent and confusing. Kristina failed to respond to emails in a timely manner, making the planning process unnecessarily stressful. On May 14th, I requested a dinner reservation at the Ocean Room for 18 guests. Chelsea Speight, the Ocean Room manager, responded to inform me that our group would need to book a private room with a rental fee. She was willing to waive the fee if we met a $3,250 minimum spend—which we likely would have reached. However, we ultimately chose to dine at Jasmine Porch on July 17th, which was satisfactory. After many follow-ups, Kristina eventually confirmed the cake, music, flower arrangements, and set menu for the Atlantic Room dinner on July 19th. We arrived on July 17th. The property was beautiful, the rooms comfortable, and our group enjoyed golfing. On the morning of July 19th, I checked in with the Atlantic Room to confirm everything for the event. I showed the on-call manager the flower photos and explained where I’d like them placed. Then, just one hour before the dinner, I received a call from the Ocean Room manager saying the party was canceled due to a power outage, and no alternative was offered. Naturally, I panicked. My husband and I rushed downstairs to speak with the hotel manager on duty, Andrew, who apologized and tried to arrange a new location. Meanwhile, our 14 guests were waiting in the lobby. Andrew informed us that the Atlantic Room would accommodate us at two tables next to each other. However, when we arrived, we were told the tables were actually on opposite sides of the restaurant. My husband calmly questioned this, only for the Atlantic Room manager to aggressively confront him, saying, “Don’t be a D with my host.” This was completely inappropriate and humiliating in front of our friends and family. When I approached the same manager to clarify, he told me, “You are not allowed to eat here.” I returned downstairs to Andrew, and fortunately, the power was restored at the Ocean Room, allowing us to move the dinner back there. However, the flowers I ordered never arrived, and the music I paid $633 for was barely audible and entirely disappointing. To make matters worse, on the morning of July 20th, my sister-in-law was incorrectly charged for the entire party, even though I had sent written instructions to Kristina to charge my credit card. When we spoke to the manager on duty, Michael, he brushed us off, saying he had more important things to deal with than billing. When I returned with receipts and confirmed my room number (#414), he became agitated, wrongly accused my sister-in-law of requesting my bill, and ultimately called me a liar. When I raised my voice in response to this unjust treatment, he threatened to call security—a deeply upsetting and unnecessary escalation. From that moment on, what should have been a joyful and memorable trip turned into a stressful, chaotic, and even traumatizing experience.
I would rate everything else 4 or 5 except for the property we stayed in. Dust, ants, and a few roaches were present. My family and I suffered allergic symptoms that we don't typically experience. That certainly took away from the fun and I am still suffering a day after we left. These allergens are tough to get rid of without deep cleaning, hence, my disappointment to find dust in certain areas of the property. I would recommend deep cleaning before guests checking in I have been visiting Kiawah Island Golf Resort for many years and I have always been impressed with the location and amenities. Apart from the room mishap, it's a good place to visit.

We went to Peyton William to find a gift for my mum, and not only found a unique and beautiful necklace, but also experienced the nicestes help by the owner/ employee. Thank you very much again!
I’ve never had so many issues with pieces of jewelry. The first necklace I purchased from this store rusted within two weeks. Yes, they did kindly replace it with another piece for free, that then also broke two months later. These items are not nearly as luxurious as advertised & are absolutely not worth price.
I am so sad to be leaving this review since I absolutely loved my ring when I initially purchased it. Less than a month after buying it and with very little wear, the gold plating is already very damaged and dull and has completely worn off in several places. I take very good care of my jewelry and am careful not to compromise the materials. I reached out to the company twice via email for help or recommendations and have received no response. I paid a lot for one ring only for it to be damaged and unwearable in less than a month. Very disappointed.
I don’t know what the fuzz is about, this are custom jewelry. My experience here is nothing but pleasant and bliss. The owner of this boutique is very nice, if you bought something here and it broke you can bring it back and she will fix it. If your purchased jewelry broke it’s on you, you need to be very careful handling fragile items. If you want something sturdy you should buy handcuffs, screws and bolts. I buy custom jewelry from Neiman Marcus etc, it’s all the same. Even my most expensive jewelry breaks if I handle it like a brut.
In short, I have spent around $400 on 3 items, all which broke after minimal or no wear at all - purchased both locations. A few months ago I purchased a necklace at the DT location, it broke within a few weeks. Eventually I brought it in to Kiawah to be fixed. I figured it was a fluke that it broke because a jewelry artist in both locations must have to be good - so I bought 2 more pieces while in. (Including the shark bracelet written by another reviewer that broke the day I brought it home.) The o ring on the necklace I bought broke a few days later - I was able to repair that myself with jewelry tools but it shouldn't have needed fixing. I brought them in a week after purchase to return, but they do not accept returns, only store credit. I exchanged for pendants because those can't really break. A few weeks later I received a call that I was expected to pay for shipping for the original broken necklace. They conceded and are shipping back to me. But at these price points this is nuts.
Terrible craftsmanship. I bought an $85 dainty bracelet with a shark tooth last week. While I was in the airport going home, the string broke holding the gems. Although I picked it up, many of the gems fell off and it is now too short to even have it restrung. My friends had bought rings there that also broke quickly. I will never go there again!
We had a very pleasant visit. Very nice selection of jewelry.
Beautiful shop with gorgeous handmade jewelry! Great customer service too!

Took the family out for an off shore trip with Captain Brad and it was awesome. He was great with the kids and so very knowledgeable along with being a great host. Thank you Captain Brad, we had a blast and we'll be back. The Dolans
My family has now been fishing with Sonny Boy Charters for over 8 year. We love him so much that we go fishing with him twice during our summer week visit at Kiawah. Captain Brad is a born and raised local and knows all the best spots to hit. We have been fishing in the rivers, the reef, and have even gone shark fishing. Not once has there been a trip where we didn’t come home with a smile on our faces or fish for dinner. Being a family of 6, it can get be easy to get overwhelmed or stressed with us, especially while on a boat, but Captain Brad always remains calm, patient, and carries a positive attitude. Once, by accident, I caught a pelican, although I was a little freaked out, he knew exactly what to do and was able to unhook the pelican without injuring it at all! Also, his mates are very helpful and always have a bait in their hand to put on your hook when in need. Wouldn’t go fishing with anyone but Sonny Boy Charters!!
Captain Brad "The Legend" provided an excellent dolphin tour during our trip to Kiawah! He was extremely patient and understanding of my mother, who was struggling to get onto the boat due to health concerns. He kindly and gingerly helped her get on and off the boat. My nine-year-old daughter warmed up to Captain Brad immediately. He let her steer the boat and answered her one million questions. He engaged her with conversations and let her talk to other boat captains on the radio. Brad was knowledgeable about the area and could tell us the history of many houses and islands. He took us to an area he knew was likely to have dolphins. We had a close encounter with many dolphins, and Brad was considerate of their space while making sure we had a great experience. We will certainly use Brad to charter another trip the next time we are in the area. He is an excellent boat captain, but more importantly he is an excellent human being!
Going fishing with Captain Brad and his mate was the best fishing trip I have ever taken. Captain Brad is not only geniune, caring, and friendly, but his knowledge and expertise of fishing is surreal and he knows everywhere to go for all types of fish. After my first trip with him, I quickly realized that I just had to go again. The environment he creates plus the fishing results we obtained made it impossible to not go to Captain Brad. I highly recommend using Sonny Boy Charters for your next fishing expenditure.
I have not had a better experience on a fishing trip, period. Captain Brad is very knowledgeable about the area and is just an incredibly funny and welcoming guy. We brought food for the trip but never had time to eat it, because we were always pulling up fish. I would also highly recommend with kids. Captain Brad showed the kids how to filet a fish (only if they wanted!) and then showed us his crab pots under the dock where he puts the scraps to work. Brad is super attentive and we can't say enough about the experience. His charter will be one of the reasons we come back to the region!
Captain Brad has been a leader in the local fishing and boating scene for years. If you are looking for great fishing, he knows all the best spots. Looking to just cruise around, he will show you the most beautiful scenery the lowcountry has to offer. What I enjoy most about Captain Brad is his fun loving attitude and unwavering appreciation of what a day out on the water provides his clients. I've recommended SonnyBoy Charters to many friends who have ALL raved about the great time they had. If you are looking for a memorable experience out on the water, Captain Brad is your man!
Sonny Boy Charters was one of the best fishing experiences my family and I have ever had. Captain Brad is super knowledgeable about fishing and a great person to have a conversation with. If you're looking to catch lots of fish and have fun, this is definitely the place to go. Can't wait to go back!
Great experience with Capt. Brad on 4 hour inshore charter on a muggy June morning. Booking a fishing guide can be hit or miss, but Sonny Boy charters has a sterling reputation and we saw first hand why. Clean boat, easy booking process, and most importantly an engaging, friendly and knowledgable captain. Fishing was good for trout and reds, but the highlight of the trip was landing the bonnethead shark that my nephew had requested. Highly recommend Sonny Boy Charters.

Great experience to do with a group. Many wonderful smells and a very friendly team that shows you how to make your own custom scented candles.
I absolutely love Palmetto Scent Studio and have had the pleasure of being a loyal customer since the first location opened at Freshfields Village. I visit every time we are on Seabrook Island and make a custom Xmas candle (each year) that is everyone’s favorite gift. I cannot say enough about the owner, Glenda, and her amazing team. Everyone is truly wonderful. Sending my best wishes for this holiday season and look forward to seeing you in early 2024. Cheers - XoXo
My husband and I decided to make our own candles while on vacation at Kiawah Island. Creating our own scents from the wall of oils and drawing on our individual labels to identify our scent on the jar was inspiring. When we returned to pick up our candles I decided to create my own scented body wash as well. What a wonderful way to personalize a gift for someone special and spend quality time together!
Came to Charleston for early Valentines Day getaway with another couple . Glenda , the owner , was incredibly knowledgeable, kind , and fun to work with . They have over 100 scents on a wall that you smell using mini candles . You can then buy candles with those scents or you move across to a swank bar where Glenda helps you mix 2-3 scents into a candle of oil for diffuser . You can also create mask refreshers oils and her daughter ... a budding entrepreneur.. created bracelets with Lava beads that can also be scented ( single oil ) . All of us , including our husbands , had an absolute blast . A great memory . It takes at least 2 hours so your candle to set and the shop is closed on Tuesday so accordingly plan . You could spend as little as $20 for a candle that you scent yourself . We all agreed it was a highlight of our trip . Do yourself a favor and go !
Had an excellent time here for a birthday weekend trip. They were extremely helpful, pleasant, and super friendly. Would extremely recommend to anyone interested in making their own candles/wax melts. Reasonably priced for those concerned!
What an amazing experience we had! The ladies behind the counter were extremely helpful and friendly. My wife and I really enjoyed making a candle together, and it's a nice memento of our trip to Seabrook. The ladies walked us through the process of making a candle, helped us make sure the scents we selected didn't clash, then helped us mix the scents into the candle. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.
We were her pre COVID when they had just opened. Great scents, great people. This is our first visit back since then and we are so happy the business survived and is thriving! Love the interactive mixology, selection and dispersal methods. Scents for everyone. Soothing, energizing, relaxing, you name it. Even Charleston Harbor! Great for individuals, couple and groups!
My family and I came in to make some room sprays and oil blends. We had such a great time! This is an affordable, creative, and unique outing for anybody to try. Their selection of scents was huge - they even had bacon. Super friendly and helpful owners, and a great space big enough for large groups and families.

Absolutely incredible boat ride. The owner Duane is nice and accommodating. He will do any style of boat trip. We did a sunset cruise to celebrate our anniversary. Tyler was a great captain and super informative of the wildlife. It was educational, fun, relaxing. It was truly an experience we won’t forget.
Tanya took us on a magnificent dolphin cruise this week and she was an incredible captain. Super welcoming and very knowledgeable about the area. Duane kindly answered all our questions when booking the trip and even took time to make recommendations for dinner and a tour of Charleston. We highly recommend Tidal Trails!!! You will love it!
5 stars! Tanya and Mike took our small group of 2 couples out on a sunset cruise. Absolutely fantastic experience, beautiful scenery, saw lots of birds and dolphins. Definitely recommend this!
Gorgeous coastal trail through sea grass, in a continual loop. Our guide was great fun and informative. We saw Dolphins and the weather was perfect. We've kayaked with this company in the past and loved our trip those times too. Cannot recommend enough!!!
Captain Duane was just as enthusiastic about the wildlife as we were and he was very friendly and knowledgeable as well. We saw many dolphins, a bald eagle and osprey nest and a bald eagle perched on a tree near the nest. Plenty of other birds and oyster beds as well.
Fantastic kayak tour of Kiawah’a beautiful marsh waterways on an early Friday morning! Dolphins aplenty to keep us company! Even found a guy’s wallet floating around! Shout out to tour guide Chris from NY who alerted me to Victoria’s Secret “Bombshell” to keep away the pesky bugs…lol!
Ryan took us on a great ride, dolphins were swimming right near our kayaks, Ryan was very knowledgeable on the area and the different species we may see, highly recommend
We had a lovely experience, kayaking with Tidal Trails. The guides were knowlegeable about the areas and the dolphin viewings were plentiful!

We had an amazing time on our sunset trip with Tony. We saw several dolphin up close and Tony was the perfect captain and tour guide. He shared a lot of interesting tidbits about the area I’d never heard before even though I’ve spent 30+ years here. Worth every penny.
We had the most wonderful and outstanding experience with St. John’s Kayaks. We pushed off in a tandem at 8am and were out until about 10:30. We saw shrimp, fish and birds of all kinds, and dolphins! It was so relaxing to be out on the water and take in the serenity of the river and marshes at our own pace. Even as beginners/amateurs, we found it very simple and relaxing! We will be back.
Love our kayak tour with Will! We did a 2 hour guided and it was just enough time in a wonderful area!
My friend and I had a great 2 hour guided kayak trip through the calm channels of the marsh/pluff mud. Will, our guide, made it easy to enter/exit the kayaks, took photos and provided us water. We went at 8am as the tide was starting to rise, and the water was super still and serene. We saw lots of birds, crabs and oyster beds. More exciting highlights were seeing dolphins, a sting ray and large fish. Will was a very positive, kind and knowledgeable guide - you can tell he loves his job and the place he calls home. You do not have to have much kayaking experience to do this, and it’s not strenuous. You take it easy going out and barely have to paddle as the current carries you, coming back there is some light paddling. Definitely add this memorable experience to your vacation this summer. We booked the shelling tour for the next day and are excited to see more of the low country! Thanks St. Johns Tours :)
We had a great time on the 2 hour kayak tour. Will is a great tour guide and very informative
We really loved the kayak tour. Great and Knowledgeable tour guide. We did the 8 am tour which I recommend given the temperature. Unfortunately did not see dolphins but lot’s of birds and oyster beds. Highly recommend this tour and the tour company. There are restrooms available.
Awesome time with Captain Sully. Beautiful sunset boat ride. Even saw dolphins jump out of the water!
Pat was our guide. He did a fantastic job and we had a fabulous time. We were able to see Dolphins and some sting rays. We kayaked down the creek through the oyster bed area. It was so cool.
The boat tour was delightful. Captain Sully was full of knowledge, there is more history regarding in these waters than I realized. There were about 14 people on the boat -- so there was plenty of space for everyone. We were able to see dolphins and various birds. Everyone we interacted with was very pleasant and courteous.
We had some car trouble and Capt Sully was very kind & accommodating, starting the tour a few minutes behind but still making sure we saw everything! He was so knowledgeable, answering all questions we had about the birds and plants we saw, and told us all about the regatta and the shrimping boats on surrounding islands. The best part, of course, was the dolphins, of which we saw a great many! He stopped the boat and let us drift so we could hear the dolphins come up & breathe. We even saw a calf and its mother! He was easygoing, enthusiastic, and obviously loves being out on the water and in nature- it was wonderful seeing someone so in their element. 5/5 experience & would go on another tour with him in a heartbeat!

Exceptional service! I love supporting a family business… especially one that’s been around for 30 years! The owners went out of their way to give us additional information about the island. They were very nice and accommodating with our schedule. Our family had the best time riding around the island and the bikes were great! My youngest daughter and her cousin loved riding on the bike trailer. We will definitely use Kiawah Island Bike Rentals next time we vacation here.
What can I say - this was a wonderful company! Always professional, extremely knowledgeable and so very pleasant!! They made my first visit to the island much more enjoyable! Will definitely call them again on any return visit!!
These guys are great. We have used them for several years. Never had a problem and easy to work with.
I wasn’t able to make a rental because i was only in town for a day, but the person on the phone was still more than willing to send me links for one day rentals nearby! Very very helpful and kind, even considering I was not making a reservation with them. Next time will absolutely use this shop!

My husband and I had a wonderful experience with Amanda and Peter. Our pedicures were excellent! I needed it more than my husband and after working in our yard the last week my feet were crying out for help. We both relaxed in the soothing massage chairs. When we visit Kiawah again we will most definitely make another visit to this wonderful salon.
Peter did a good job and was so friendly with my daughter however I was shocked by the pricing and should have checked first, $165 for kids nail polish and an adult regular pedicure with no polish seemed wild for a normal salon and a not a spa
The women at kiawah nails couldn’t have been ruder to my 5 year old daughter who I took there to get her nails done. The women yelled at my daughter multiple times and let her leave with her nails completely ruined. It was an awful experience and they charged $125 for my daughters “manicure”. I will never ever go back and deter anyone from going there. I couldn’t recommend them any less.
I was charged $221 for a regular pedicure and a gel manicure before tip. I was shocked and wish I had asked about pricing upfront. I think this pricing is outrageous and won’t be going back.
my friends and i have been going to seabrook for 16 years now and i have never been to such an overpriced, hot, u comfortable nail salon in my life span. my friends came to this salon expecting to have a normal experience and or more/ better experience. this was not true to say the least. to start off, the air conditioning was not on, so they had fans that were not even facing towards the costumers. the liquid they used to clean up the cuticle, burned like a flame. the nail salon itself was not very cleanly or comfortable. the worst of all, for the awful service and horrible inconvenience that they had given us, my friends short, and simple SNS we're $123. My other friends singular nail, that she had asked to make similar to the other nail that she had on the other hand, came out a different shape, completely different shade, and glittery while the rest were not glittery. she payed $25. 25 dollars for a singular nail. the prices are unexplainable because there is no reason to have anything that high in the nail industry. my friends and i will never be coming back to this so called salon ever again.
Yikes!! I went here to get my nails done for family vacation and they didn’t even last a week. I got dip and they all pooped right off. Lawrence did mine - he had inappropriate jokes the whole time. Asked for a partial refund which ‘isn’t their policy’. Soooo bad!!!!
This is a great place to come and relax. The salon offers comfortable and ergonomic footrests, ensuring your comfort during pedicure treatments. They always does an amazing job. Thank you Kiawah Nail Studio for always making my experience a great one. It is the best acrylics with french tip I have ever done.
Best nails I’ve ever gotten done! Very clean, sanitary, smelled delightful, and my nails look fabulous. I came to Kiawah Nail Studio and everyone was so nice when I entered. I went to different Salons looking for the best manicurist, and in the end I am satisfied.
