Well and Truth we arrived after the park at closed but it looks really amazing. To commemorate the moment we left one of our#wanderrocks for some future visitor to find.
I visited Stately Oaks after the Road to Tara Museum as they are located only a few minutes’ drive from each other. The house has no direct affiliation to the movie Gone with the Wind but it represents what a plantation home in that era would’ve looked like. I was a bit disappointed to learn that the home had no direct affiliation to the movie, as for some reason that is what I assumed (as did others who were touring with me). I recall seeing it advertised somewhere as the “official Gone with the Wind home,” when it really isn’t. The home was originally located nearby but was physically moved to this location. During the tour you learn about the original owners of the home and you are able to view different rooms in the home (upstairs and downstairs), as well as the outside grounds. No photos are allowed inside, and tours are given only certain days of the week and at specific times of the day. Be sure to call prior to visiting and do not assume that it is always open. I just happened to arrive as a tour was beginning and was able to join without issue (and with no wait). There is a fee for the tour.
I enjoyed the staff and creativity put into the recreation of the living quaters at the time set period, however some of the history of the masion, its original location and the enslaved peoples living conditions were unexplored. If you ask me I would recommend visiting the Stately Oaks House for the architectural design and welcoming staff.
Historic, charming, beautiful, tranquil, educational. Takes one back in time! Feels as if time stands still. Memories of a period long ago. The friendly south, loving to all! An awesome place for special events, such as a wedding. Volunteers love it.
Our tour guide was so into it that you had no choice to enjoy the tour. Very knowledgeable and authentic
Absolutely love this place. Quite and peaceful. Every step in the house, feels like wandering in the corridor of time. Breakfast was delicious, owners hospitality left us an unforgettable experience.
I did travel from Los Angeles area to Atlanta a week before thanksgiving 2022 I have always been fascinated whit American History, Being in this place it was like traveling back in time, the lady in charge of the tour did a great job explaining details about the house and how life just to be back then, great learning experience.
We had as lovely tour with Miss Connie and learned a lot during our visit. The enthusiasm and knowledge of the guides was infectious and our time there was a delight! I loved the dresses the docents wore which added to the charm. I’d love to have been able to see some of the merchandise to remember my experience.

I felt so emotional when I entered. Super friendly girl at the reception, price absolutely great compared with the amazing and lovely collection of original pieces and informations. Every penny worth it.
If we'd known what we were walking into, we wouldn't have gone. We saw a sign for a historic train depot and got excited. We went inside and found a teeny tiny store. We were asked if we wanted to go to the museum. I looked around for a sign or price, but saw nothing. We agreed, even though it was twice as much as we normally spend on such things. As we went back outside to the wheelchair entrance we joked about how it better be a really good museum. False Advertising! We went inside and found it was nothing but Gone with the Wind history. I LOVE history, but I like the real stuff - I'm not into the history of a movie, book, and such. We tried to make it worth our while, though it was very difficult to maneuver my wheelchair in. Eventually we gave up. It's the first time in my life I've left a museum without reading/listening to everything. So if you're into cinematic history, you'll probably enjoy it. We were extremely disappointed.
A nice little museum located in an old train depot in the center of the small town of Jonesboro, GA. It’s definitely a must-visit for a lover of the movie Gone with the Wind. I would allow 1-1.5 hours to get through all the exhibits and truly enjoy the experience. The movie is always playing with sound, which adds to the ambiance. I enjoyed reading about the lives of the book’s author, the movie’s actors and actresses, and viewing all the memorabilia. Note that some of the items on exhibit are replicas and not real pieces from the movie, but still very cool to see! A comfortable drive from Atlanta - I definitely recommend!
Great museum friendly staff. Loved all the Gone With The Wind artifacts and all the behind the scene information.
We stumbled upon the beautiful quaint town of Jonesboro while visiting Atlanta & the neighboring towns. We fell in love with the charm of this small town and had to stop the moment we saw the stunning mural of Scarlett O’Hara & saw the Road To Tara Museum. As a big fan of Gone With The Wind, I saw this wonderful happenstance meant to be. We were greeted warmly by a warm wonderful young lady and the museum had all the amazing artifacts and original props from the movie and all the interesting facts about the cast and characters. It was nice to see the costumes and memorabilia. The museum is clean & well kept. They also have a lovely gift shop w/lots of interesting GWTW & Georgia souvenirs. I’m so glad we came across this town while passing through. It wasn’t on our itinerary, but the stop here made our visit to Georgia even more memorable & wonderful.
I love walking through historical sites where I can get a small glimpse of the past. Although this train depot is small I did stay for an hour enjoying the videos, quizzes and costumes of the time. It’s a testament to how far we have come in America and the road ahead. God Bless America and all who share in the dream.
Very interesting stop! If you like it appreciate the book and movie Gone with the Wind, you'll enjoy this place. Not expensive to visit the museum and it's not too big so you really only need maybe an hour to 90 minutes to view. I appreciate the information on all the actors and tributes to Hattie McDaniel and Butterfly McQueen. Wonderful costume replicas as well as a few actual costume pieces.
Great for even a casual fan of GWTW. Self guided tour can be done in an hour or so - or longer for sure. Emily in the gift shop was so pleasant. Nice stop off. Great bath room too !

Great park for anyone that enjoys the outdoors. 2 mile trail for people wanting to walk, run, or cycle. There's a playground for kids. Water Park during the late spring and summer months. There is a large dog park space. There is a gazebo for grilling and you can also purchase food to feed ducks, either $.25 or $.50. 4 Beach volleyball nets and tennis courts. There is currently a fair in progress near the water park. There is also an indoor gym you can have a monthly membership for that has membership options for Clayton County residents and non residents. They have fitness classes, indoor pool, weight room, spin room, rental spaces, lounge area, concessions, and a mini rock wall. The scenery is great just take your allergy medicine if you have pollen allergies lol.
This park is well done. I walked there today with a group of friends, and we loved it!! The other walkers were friendly, perfect balance of tree shade, and the trail was super clean. Kudos to Clayton County, this is a real gem to have on the Southside of Atlanta.
So I decided to take a mental health day. Away from work and the world. Found this great park with a waterfront. Meditating , writing and stretching near the water is what brings me peace. So if you need a place to visit to recharge , reset and release. Here’s the place.
Nice paved trail with some good scenery. Went on a Sunday and it wasn't crowded. I ran down to the golf course and then came back and went around the park, and was able to get in 7 miles. There is plenty of space for different activities. Nice lake view. Will definitely be back.
Beautiful park great for walking, running ,biking ,and cooking out ...also has an area for kids to play and they have movie nights at the park ...loved it !
Love the trail at this park. I walk here almost everyday. There are trails of different lengths for different fitness levels. There are playgrounds and a waterpark for children, as well as parks for small and large dogs. The park is very green and has several nice areas to picnic and cook out. Periodically the park has festivals and when these events are happening, parking is limited.
Overall, it is an excellent place for a variety of outdoor activities. I mainly focused on the paved trail for running (2.3 Mile loop). The paved trail has a lot of workout stations around it and standard park benches. Once you enter the park, the “Get Fit 5K” trail is alongside the main street. You will definitely get fit due to the steepness of the hills. I saw trails outside the paved trail, where you can walk around the woods and see plenty of wildlife. I followed along with the AllTrails app.
Clayton County International Park has a lot of hiking trails to walk on. They have a lot of areas to play sports, like: Pickle ball and Tennis. It is fun to play with your family when you're bored or need to get your daily exercise. They also have pools to swim in (a huge water park btw). The park is very spacious. The restrooms could be improved on though (the cleanliness aspect of them) Dogs are also allowed here (a bonus part of the experience). The playground's space is adequate as well.

THIS was the cemetery I was looking for yesterday!! Everyone, everywhere kept pointing me to the wrong cemetery yesterday— I had gone to this little gem a year ago on a tour, and was looking for it, only to be pointed everywhere else. THIS cemetery is what you look for when you want to learn about the civil war. The history is rich, the cemetery is old, you can see the old house up the hill, where many a soldier fell, and many went to their final rest, after they didn’t survive the homestead turned hospital. It’s small, quaint, and you will be undisturbed. Beautiful. The magnolia trees and the lovely simple markers harken back to a different time.
Well kept and easy to get to. Do your research about the area prior to coming so you can view and understand the context. Sad so many soldiers were buried as unknown after being moved here. Understanding it was hard to keep records under the conditions.
Hundreds of unmarked grave stones for unknown Confederate soldiers, plus scores of other markers for known men. Unfortunately the historic marker sign is weather worn far past the point of being legible, but don't let that stop you from visiting.
Very good eye into the history that truly happened here. Make a stop here part of your tour.
Very nice spot to visit, well kept and neat. Nice shade trees to walk under while there.
Very informative and yet solemn. Being new to Georgia, I am amazed at the amount of history here.
Cool place to see some of the soldiers who died in this 3 day war. A lot of soldiers with just head markets. And some with names, rank, platoon & years they lived and died.
Very somber thought so many were unknown

Nice challenging course. Will test your skill right at the first tee. Very nice greens and well manicured fairways. I enjoyed all the holes played and would recommend this course for a visit. Manage your errant shots or your ball may end up in someone's backyard. I enjoy the par 3 hole 6 with the carry over the pond and sloping green.
I left Lake Spivey Golf Course feeling disappointed and frustrated. The fairways looked like they hadn’t been cut in weeks—uneven, patchy, and unkept, making it hard to enjoy even basic shots. The greens were just as bad, covered in black spots that ruined any chance of putting smoothly. From the start, I found myself in a negative frame of mind because of how poorly maintained everything was. Unfortunately, the course did nothing to change that attitude. For the money they charge, this experience was absolutely not worth it. There are far better courses in Georgia that take pride in their upkeep, unfortunately Lake Spivey is not one of them. On a positive note: the clubhouse attendant was nice and easy to work with. Without that this review would be a zero.
Really nice spot if you’re new to golf or just want a laid-back round. The staff is super friendly and helpful—great customer service all around. The course itself could use some TLC, but they’re clearly working on it and making improvements. From the recent reviews, I was expecting a lot worse, but I have played on more run-down courses than this. Clubhouse is nice and clean as well.
I don’t usually write reviews but this needs to be talked about. I am by no means a snob when it comes to conditions of the course but this place is borderline unplayable. Booked the tee time morning of because of last minute plans. Only booked it here because it was a Saturday and everywhere else was booked yet this place was wide open, which should have been the first red flag. Right after booking I realized not everyone was gonna make it in that time so I called right back and asked if we could move it back 30 mins. The very nice lady who answered the phone said it’s no worries it doesn’t matter when you show up, which was another red flag. We paid the highway robbery of $55 and got on with our round. HOLE 1:After teeing off 2/3 people in the group lost their ball in the middle of the fairway because it hadn’t been cut in weeks and was riddled with weeds (This is the case for next couple holes) CART: As we approached the 1st “green” our cart ran out of battery. I called the Pro Shop and the lady said she would get someone out there. 25 minutes go by so I call again and she admits that she had forgotten and told me she was THE ONLY PERSON WORKING (IT WAS 1PM ON A SATURDAY). 15 minutes later a cart boy does show up and give us a new cart. GREENS: The greens are absolutely unplayable. half of every green is uneven sand and is filled with weeds. I can’t speak for the back 9 because we determined the course was simply not possible to actually play golf on. The course does have a nice interesting layout but if they want to remain in business they seriously need to sit down and figure some stuff out.
Just left this golf course, nice staff. Big open fairways and pretty properties around to admire. The greens were good and the course looked good. Definitely coming back. Just be careful because some of the houses are kinda close.
I think some of these reviews are a bit dramatic. We played here this morning and after reading these reviews my expectations were so low that I was pleasantly surprised. I think this is a great course for beginner/average golfers. There was some tall grass and some of the greens were in need of repair, but overall the course was playable and enjoyable. in fact, i played my best round of golf here! There were some challenging holes and some easier ones that were a breath of fresh air. The course was overall very pretty and had nice winding paths through a cute neighborhood. Some spots in the concrete path were bumpy due to tree roots but that’s every course i’ve been to. The clubhouse was so pretty and looked newly renovated. bathrooms were clean with nice tile and beautiful fixtures. The bar was stunning as well. One thing that did stand out to me at this course was the customer service. I have been to plenty of courses where pro shop employees turn their nose up at you and act like you don’t belong but the man working in this pro shop was so kind and absolutely delightful. He made sure we were aware that that grass was not in the best shape first thing and then continued to greet us with a smile and kind gestures. he let us know they were low on staff and to just call the clubhouse if we needed food, drinks, or anything. when we got done the boys taking the carts were super kind and offered to clean the trash out of our cart and take care of it for us. this may be standard everywhere but the genuine kindness offered by these people was noticeable. So overall, yes the grass could use some work. but it’s clear they are aware and doing what they can to make it better. What stuck with me the entire round of golf was the kindness and sincerity of the staff here. being treated with respect and genuine warmness makes it all worth it.
I’m not one to write reviews but I feel like I have to. Please don’t waste your money, 55 is outrageous for the conditions on this course. Tee boxes were hard as a rock and half were bare. Yet somehow the greens were worse. It looks like the grass hasn’t been cut in weeks, every putt was left short unless you actually smack the ball. I booked thinking the reviews were overreacting, they weren’t. Friendly staff and nice course layout but that’s where it ends.
I’m 29 yrs old. This is my first review I’ve ever left. This course is actually garbage. I lost balls in the middle of the fairway, bc the grass hasn’t been cut in atleast a month. Round took over 5 hrs looking for balls inches off the fairway that were lost in tall grass! Greens haven’t been attended in months. DO NOT BE A SUCKER LIKE ME, AND WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!!

Pristine chapel was very accommodating of our busy schedule. From when my parents first toured, they were meant with a warm welcome. I wasn't able to see much of the venue before the wedding since we were from out of town, but Eric provided plenty of videos and explanations of how everything worked. Zach was also helpful during a venue planning appointment. Day of was perfect! Symone was really helpful with making sure the day went smoothly even with delays. This venue gave me everything i wanted and I was not disappointed at all! Everyone loved the taste of the wedding cake and the food did disappoint either. The reception was wonderful. Thank you Pristine Chapel!!
Where do I begin... Pristine is the absolute best place to have your wedding or event... From start to finish Perfection! I was told that most people do not like the cake at the tasting, but I can assure you that the cake that was at my wedding was insanely good... So good that my husband and I didn't even get a slice (we got the topper so we can not wait until our 1 year to eat the top)... Book the venue!!!
As the MOG that was very involved in the planning and communications with Pristine Chapel, this was an AMAZING experience. We actually had 2 tours with Tori, the 1st with the mothers and then the 2nd with the couple. Once we saw the chapel and saw that there was a garden ceremony option for the "outdoorsy" bride, we were sold. Everyone was very knowledgeable and accommodating. Our meetings with Melanie and Zac were long, but they made sure that we dotted all "i's" and crossed all "t's" before the ceremony. Even when we unsure of things and sent an email, the responses came within 5-10 minutes. Our coordinators, Simone and Kayla were very helpful. The food was delicious and we all got to do the "fan dance" that everyone had been practicing. It was truly a day that our family will remember. Thanks Pristine Chapel
Pristine Chapels is the epicenter for all your wedding needs! I had a micro wedding and I must say I am very impressed with the outcome. I’m so pleased that my wife and I will double back and do a bigger wedding there later on. Pristine Chapel was so professional and attentive to our needs! What a beautiful facility they have! Big shout out to Zach, Simone, Eric and Bishop Shinn for leading us into the right direction!
THIS PLACE IS JUST WHAT THE NAME SAYS - PRISTINE! From the gated entrance to the chapel, I was blown away. Nice and quiet almost like a retreat. The staff were great and I was equally impressed to see so many young people (teens) on staff. If I could find one "fault" it would be the digital piano. The damper/sustain pedals were not working properly although it was not used for the wedding I attended. Oh and the seat cushions in the reception area need to be secured. Felt as if I was sliding off the chair. But neither take away from the excellent experience.
This was the absolutely perfect place for our wedding. We want to give a special thanks to Tori for making our process and wedding memorable and DJ kayla for setting the party at our reception everything was amazing 10/10❤️🥂
My Sister in law got married on 5/17/25. The Chapel and grounds are beautiful. The Chapel has French accents that reminded me of Notre Dame. The service was very touching. The staff was on point, all aspects of the wedding were executed and on time. I enjoyed the event.
I highly recommend Pristine Chapel to anyone and everyone! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Our wedding day at Pristine was better than we imagined! The venue itself is absolutely beautiful, and the entire experience, from planning to execution, was seamless. With my loaded schedule and my wife being long-distance at the time, the all-inclusive services was a lifesaver.Zac and Tori were phenomenal in assisting us, they very accommodating and insightful. Our guests are still talking about how amazing the wedding was, and everyone loved the food - particularly the salmon! Pristine Chapel truly delivered a dream wedding experience, and I will forever cherish and be grateful that we chose them as our venue.

I typically don't leave reviews, however after my massage today, I had to leave a few words. My massage was simply amazing, one of the best massages I've ever had, she knew exactly how much pressure to apply and where I needed extra attention. Absolutely loved/enjoyed every minute of my massage!!!
Nataki has healing hands. I've learned not to go elsewhere for my massage. Glad to reconnect with Well Balance Bodies. Excellent experience.

Good customer service and the massage was great. Just what I needed, I will be seeing her monthly.
My massage with Nataki was blissful and amazing! I left feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. After moving here a few years ago I’ve been trying to find a new therapist and Nataki is it! She is professional, kind, and good at what she does! She genuinely cares about your health, and even crafted a wellness plan with stretches for me to follow. I am so happy I found her and look forward to more massages with her.

Everyone was really nice and accommodating (because I'm Pregnant). Shekina helped me relax and enjoy my first massage. I received a few of their business cards and will be passing them out! Thanks yall!!! Shekina Cheeks Since it was my first time Shekina explained things to me and helped me relax. I went home and had the best sleep I have had in a while. I honestly can’t thank her enough and will be sending more people her way!!!
Clea gave me a massage every night during a 3-day 222-mile bike trek. Without her, I don't think I would have been able to walk the next day. She worked wonders and was extremely relaxing!

This is a hidden gem on Tara Blvd. The service was A1, food was fresh and delicious! We will be back!
So we go to this establishment Christmas night because our sisters born on Christmas day she turned 53 said it was a great spot drinks food atmosphere he said was wonderful but I guess because today is Christmas some people don't want to work and don't want to be there. I begin to order food talk with everyone it was already annoying me because yes they're playing Christmas music but we have a table of use no worries it's kind of acting out they're very loud they keep sitting at our table at the end or you know like it's weird. Anyway so I get my food appetizer drinks and they made us a way that they close at midnight it's kind of like you basically need to hurry it up so I said well you know it can I please have a to go box my ticket another drink and a Coca-Cola to go without hesitation they nasty waitresses no he then begins to tell me that you can't have that until you're finished because there's liquor on the table I wasn't understanding what she was saying she was very short and nasty when I asked a question she said well if you don't understand what I'm saying that you need to bring it up with my manager and she kind of pointed off so I was going to look back to see them again up to us as though you know something that already been a problem the manager said yes we don't do that that's our policy that we cannot give you a ticket to go box or to go drink even if it's a Coca-Cola while they're still liquor on the table so explain the term for Washington State I've never heard that you know why is that you don't make me aware and the manager is already upset that I'm or I should say annoying that I'm asking questions but then tells us that the side of town we are people still and their thieves and you know all of this and I said how are you a thief on something you already purchased and what is my liquor have to do with my ticket my to go box you know my to go Coke and she was saying that people can just steal the liquor out of there and they would know when I pointed out it's not a lot of people there like I said maybe about 20-25 people eight of them were workers but they were so nasty and disrespectful the manager and the waitress in regards to the side of town we are on and the race I was baffled and disgusted all in the same time like God I wish I would have known that because you're on a predominantly African-American side of town that you have certain rules that don't apply to other parts of the city or state of Georgia it was a back and forth exchange of me asking questions like I said I've never heard of that I guess that's a thing but predominately in the African-American areas. Disgusted they were rude on Christmas and didn't really care who we were what we were celebrating other than that we were pegged as thieves. When I was going to say something else to manager cut me off and said so what do you want I said you know what don't even worry about the Coca-Cola it's okay you already put the drink in and it says it's not refundable so I'll just take that can I at least get my to-go box and the check and literally they both walk off and are talking right behind us about me mainly the waitress out loud as though I couldn't hear her so I didn't say anything we paid and we just left disgusting it should be sued for discrimination as though because the color of my skin you think that I am a thief and yet you decided to open a business in that area
I have to leave a rating based on my to go order. First off $8 for a side salad is kind of high for the portion received which was full of spoiled lettuce. So disappointing that you would serve that to a customer. Food was mediocre at best, wings dry fried rice bland and definitely over priced. 3/10
This was my first time here and I will be back! I had the 10 honey mild wings(SUPER CRISPY), shrimp fried rice and a tequila sunrise. The tequila sunrise was not that tasty but everything else was great
The wings are really good here. I heard they have other good food as well. If you like a drink that will knock your socks off...this the place 😃
UPDATE: Still a great place to get seafood and drinks. Went recently and still above par for a sports bar. A must try for anyone wanting good food and drinks, plus live music on certain days and many screens. Wife wanted something different, as usual, so surfing around we spotted this place. Turns out that it is some of the best seafood we've had, but it's not a seafood place. It's a sports bar, and the drinks are well made, you get your money's worth... Their menu is very low key, you'd expect an assortment of appetizers at a sports bar, but you'd be fooled. They have crab legs, shrimp, THE BEST CAFE HOUSE SPECIAL fried rice! Get it, you will be thrilled. We order it all the time. Prices are good too. Screens everywhere for sports shows and a pool table area. Dining areas and a bar area. Music is good too. We've been back numerous times and ordered to go. Service is good and they will be sure you have what you need.
Waiters are very lazy but it’s a cool atmosphere
