Awesome place to stay.. Just a couple of small updates and repairs need to happen, plus it would be nice to have the whole driveway paved/cemented..
It's a great location in the middle of endless curves, mountain trails, and fishing. Large garage to put group motorcycles is a huge asset. We even had a hot tub at the end of the day to warm up and relax muscles in. House works well for groups with 4 bedrooms in the treetops house, but needs some TLC on windows. Looking forward to coming back again someday.
The ridge was awesome. Big garage and pool table. Parked 8 bikes easy! Clean linens and bathroom. The jacuzzis seemed nice but never used it. I'll be back for sure!
The owner, property, cabin and garage are fantastic. Best place to stay and we are already planning to return.
Super clean, super nice and an amazing host!! CVAMC thanks you for everything!!
I can't begin to describe how perfect this place is. The location, the amenities... I will update when the trip is done.
Great place for a large group to stay. Nice amenities and close to tons of great roads.
Great place to stay. All the amenities you could possibly want. Excellent location.

What a cute little tap room with plenty of Mead to try. We did a flight and really enjoyed it and got some to bring home. If you find yourself out near this place it is definitely worth a stop.
Honey tasting was a first for us! How fun to sample about 10 different types of honey—our favorite was the Appalachian Mountain Honey. We purchased a small bottle to take home with us as well as some soap samples. The adults did the mead sampling and we enjoyed (6) 4oz samples. There is an option for 2oz sampling as well but we decided to share the 4oz samplings since neither of us are big mead drinkers. My favorite was the Yard Sale which has lavender undertones. Our children enjoyed the root beer and cream soda and really liked picking out a game to play while we enjoyed our drinks out on the patio.
Delicious local honey! Wehrloom Honey has a large selection of flavored honey, including chocolate, lavender, vanilla, and more! They offer taste testing of all of their tasty honey on a showcase table inside! Mead flight was unique and awesome!
What a fantastic place to stop after riding the tail of the dragon! The amazing flavors of the honeys from chocolate lovers to cinnamon infused as well as meads and honey sweetened sodas are incredible. A must stop and of course you can order online.
So I ran into some of the fine people that work for/with this company down in Florida this past memorial day. I have to say they were nothing short of kind and offered samples on every type of honey I could imagine. I decided to go with Australlian Bush and try one of the Honey Cola's. I have to say I loved both and continue to enjoy the Australlian honey before I go to bed. I will definately be checking out your website as I do enjoy supporting NC business as I am from the state.
This is a must do if you're in the area or passing through. The customer service was excellent. They suggested several of the meades to try. The pineAPPeno was my favorite, but most of the flavors were amazing. The root beer was some of the best I've ever had. Awesome experience!!!!!
Quaint concept. It's a refreshing change from run of the mill stores. Well stocked with Lots and lots of honey and mead products including their mead tap room, where you can chill and enjoy a cold one after a hot ride. Soaps, honey, chocolates, beauty products, gift sets and tours available. Go visit, you will be glad you did. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Definitely some great products available. Picked up some iced tea, mead, soda, soap and straight-up honey. Awesome quality, amazing taste. Make sure to stop in if you're in the area!

A fun Fall mountain festival. Relaxing, good food, nice people, and beautiful crafts. Especially quilt #19 -- absolutely beautiful!
A fantastic arts and cultural center built in an old school. Very nice gift shop and beautifully maintained interior and grounds. Iris was so helpful, giving us some history of the building and tips for places to visit in the area.
Such a beautiful and historic building. The arts and crafts inside were gorgeous. Would recommend stopping by if you're in the area. We went to the breakfast with Santa, and it was so much fun.
My sister's and I were passing through and needed a break. This has to be one of those hidden gems that I hope more discover! It's the best reuse of a community building that I have ever seen. It's become a cultural center with so many wonderful things to see. Artist and crafters there's several class rooms for events and interesting classes. There's tons of interesting history about the native Americans that lived in this region. And a gift store with so much art that it's probably not correct to call it a gift store... Art gallery of local artists would be more accurate. With reasonable prices to support the local community. It's located in a quaint valley that was also interesting to travel though. Oh and the staff was phenomenal!
Loved it here. There is an abundant variety of incredible work made locally, and a nicely restored school. Very interesting selection of books and stuff. Could spend hours here. Only came for a quick visit, but if I had the ability, I would love to see a band play and take a textile lesson. And the valley is gorgeous.
Beautifully restored old school converted into a visitor's center featuring a gallery of crafted items for sale, an auditorium for seasonal concerts featuring local music of Appalachia. Nice grounds and a large gazebo for picnics. Grest place to bring children.
Very helpful and friendly. The lady that helped me was amazing and gave me a lot of helpful information. I wish could spend more time in this country.
Nice little stop off the road with a nature trail, restrooms and a chance to see some local arts and crafts. Also a dog and kid friendly area. Also has a playground for the kiddos.

Beautiful little treasure tucked a way. Spent a few minutes reading and hiking.
We arrived just after some young members of the Eastern Band of Cherokees had cleared the trails. Traditional medicinal plants had markers along the trail. There were also markers for notable figure from the Native community.
Very small area but it's a nice place. Takes about 15 minutes to walk through the entire thing. Nice to see if you're in the area but not worth a long drive or anything.
Amazing place to take the family but great for couples too

What an amazing experience…kind and friendly owners who love their life and craft. The vegetables from this farm are so amazing and fresh and love the selection of beautifully chosen high quality antiques. Looking forward to them bringing back their fruit bounty. This is my dream life.
Idyllic little farm up on a hill! The woman running the place was very friendly and welcoming. I bought some veggies and did PYO flowers, even though it's close to the end of the season there was a nice variety of colors + textures and I was able to make two small arrangements when I got home. Would absolutely go back next time I'm in Nantahala!
Beautiful place to visit. We vacation in the area every summer and always stop at Stoney Hollow once or twice for produce and flowers. They also have an interesting collection of antiques for sale. The folks running the farm are very friendly.
We stopped by to visit on a whim as we passed through the area. The antiques were beautiful and well chosen. Vegetables were fresh and mouth wateringly delicious looking. The flower fields were an inviting riot of color.
Beautiful farm. Nice selection of locally produced products and antiques. Great friendly staff made our visit a highlight of our vacation.
Love visiting here bought several antiques that I love. Hope to be back soon the owners are very friendly
Small family-run seasonal selection of organic produce and u-pick flowers alongside an assortment of antiques. Worth a stop for the fresh tomatoes alone or to build a bouquet of flowers. Wasn't sure where to park but found a spot that worked. Surprised that Covid-19 mask wearing not being practiced by the owners and some customers though it was fairly easy to keep a safe distance most of the time.
We have been there twice. The first time was by chance on a lazy drive in 2004...we happened to notice a "u-pick" sign by the side of the road. Years later, we very much desired to return and we traced our steps to see if the owners were still open to "passers by". To our delight, they were open that day! We picked a bucket full of an assortment of berries in no time. We entered the barn to pay for our summer treasure and found that fresh blueberry pies were being sold by order to local clients. I wish I had pre-ordered one!

Visited here thanksgiving 2017. Enjoyed the experience of talking to the owner, and browsing ceramics and tasty cheeses. Took some quaint photos too.
Very cozy and comfortable. All the supplies you need to cook. One double bed, downstairs and one bedroom, upstairs. One nice bath, all towels, etc furnished. Unique, they sell homemade cheese, and raise chickens up the hill from the house. Beautiful scenery, not far from Smokey Mountain National Park. Beautiful, breathtaking mountains and awesome roadways. Picturesque little towns that have little sandwich shops, fantastic bakery, neat little restaurants!
Incredible cheese & amazing pottery here! It was difficult to decide on just a few pieces of pottery. The women we spoke with were incredibly nice too, we could have talked with them longer if time permitted. They will be retiring after Nov this year so please be sure to visit their shop before then!
Karen was incredibly generous with her time and tour of the pottery studio! So enjoyed meeting her and the cheese and pottery we purchased! The farmstead cheese from their own Jersey cows was creamy and delicious! Mark will be back through here in October so he is already planning to stop back in for more! Don't miss this off the beaten path treasure!
What a hidden gem in the mountains of Robinsville. First, we got there close to closing and Karen, who was such a sweetheart, stayed opened past closing so we could sample the different cheeses she had. She took the time explaining the differences between all the cheeses and the process involved in making them. She even allowed us time to "check out" the pottery barn that is still in use almost 40 years later. She even makes her own complimentary Ghirardelli chocolate chip cookies. What is there not to love about this place! Thank you Karen for the free ornaments as well. The family and I are still enjoying the cheese we purchased and the ornaments look great on our freshly cut tree we got that weekend. Sadly, I did not take any photos whike on this visit. We will take some photos on our next visit.
I have not personally tasted the cheese that you and Bruce make...but I currently own 2 sweet jersey milk cows that came from your farm. :) I can not tell you guys enough how much we love our girls. Bruce took the time to let us watch him work, and watch the cows in action!!! Very well trained and mannered cows :) not to mention beautiful milk :) I will definitely be ordering some cheese real soon. I am just now learning how to make (farmer's cheese) lol
Really beautiful spot with neat selection of pottery, fine work & glazes, and excellent cheese (we got a wedge of the basil one - yum). There was a beautiful garden. Was only a quivk visit, but the place & potter is so inviting, i would have loved to spend the day & play with cows & clay. Lovely spot to see, 10/10 highly recommend.
I have been buying pottery and cheese from Yellowbranch for 30 years. We have a full set of dishes and a few lamps from Karen. Just great people and a great place to visit. You must stop and say Sam and Anne Morgan from Tampa said Hi!

Less than a half mile out on a compact trail with some tree roots. The mountain laurel blossoms and waterfall at the end made for an excellent, easy hike.
Beautiful, a few places in the trail were very wet, we had to navigate the rocks to go around. One of my pictures shows the bridge the was taken out. I would rate this a moderate hike. It's a pretty steep climb but it's only about 4/10 of a mile.
Beautiful falls, but the hike is definitely challenging at points. Lots of incline, tree roots, and muddy in some areas. Take your swimsuit and hiking shoes, leave granny in the car with AC running and plenty of gas in the tank (since you won't be back anytime soon). After hiking 0.3 miles, it will feel like 3 miles but the cool refreshing water will be worth it. Don't forget to hang on tight when crossing death trap bridge going up and down on your journey.
This may be the best waterfall hike I've ever been on. The entire creek is a cascading wonder. The geology of the rocks and boulders along the hike are unlike anything I've ever seen - many stops were made asking the question "How did that get there?" Do not pass this by.
.03 miles to the falls
Shirt hike but had some elevation gain to it. Was worth the hike as it was very beautiful and remote
Very nice easy hike to beautiful waterfall. Certainly reccomend for families with young ones.

I’ve been enjoying Lake Santeetlah every summer for about 5 years now. We’ve rented our boats from here every trip & we always have a great time. they are always very informative about boat safety, lake locations. Looking forward to the next one.
We had a great time on the pontoon boat this weekend. The guys had a blast tubing on the river. All safety equipment and safety brief was included. The boat had blue tooth connection so we got to jam on our tunes. There is someone to call at all times if you have an emergency. And there is cell signal on the water too so you can upload all those photos of you driving the boat to all your socials.
We rented a pontoon boat from Santeetlah Boat Rentals and had the best time! The views were absolutely breathtaking, and the boat was perfect for a relaxing day on the water. Mr. Steve, the owner, was super nice and made everything so easy. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a fun and memorable day on the lake!
We rented a Pontoon boat for 4 hours in the afternoon and had a great experience. Lake Santeetlah is incredible and it was fun to explore via boat. We saw osprey and eagles. Great service and kind people!
Marcella and Steve were great to work with and very responsive!! We rented a pontoon and a tube for 4 days and the boat was clean, well kept and in good mechanical condition. A boat is a must if you're visiting lake Santeetlah because it is so beautiful and one of the cleanest lakes we have ever swam in! We will definitely rent from this wonderful couple again! Thank you!
The experience was incredible, the Pontoon was clean and had no issues at all when it came to functionality. Me and my family really enjoyed ourselves on the water. The owner was an amazing and kind man that explained all the safety regulations and gave us a map of the water to use. Overall, J highly recommend this place for someone that wants to get on the water without much of a hassle. 10/10!🔥🔥
The couple that own this rental company could not be sweeter or more accommodating! They were so kind and flexible when we thought we might need to reschedule our boat trip, and then when we ended up keeping our reservation they made everything smooth and enjoyable. Pricing is very fair! Cannot recommend them enough!
We just returned from our 2nd day in a row renting a pontoon boat! We sure didn’t plan on 2 days but the lake was too perfect, we couldn’t get enough of it! This was an awesome experience all around from booking the rental to docking it the last time. Steve went out of his way for us, showing us the best lures to toss, explaining the lake layout, and honestly was just great conversation! Wish we could do another day and will be back in the future!

Website was easy to navigate. They have a great selection of motorcycles at what I thought were very reasonable prices. The bike met my expectations and performed well. I was impressed with their physical location. When I arrived they were pleasant and accommodating. I will do future business without a doubt.
Great experience renting from these folks. Wife and I got the slingshot for a day and had a blast. Super easy and effective communication. All the instructions were given about the vehicle and local laws. We will definitely come back. Thanks.
"I recently had the pleasure of renting a DCT Goldwing from Wolf Creek Motorsport Rentals, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. The Goldwing was in great shape (decent tire tread and fluids were all good) and performed exceptionally well. It survived taking it on the Moonshiner 28 and the legendary Tail of the Dragon. The bike handled beautifully, making for an unforgettable ride and allowing me to truly enjoy the breathtaking scenery. The team at Wolf Creek Motorsport Rentals was fantastic. They were incredibly easy to work with, responsive to all my questions, and made the entire rental process smooth and hassle-free. They have quite a fleet and looks to be well taken care of. Overall, it was a truly great experience, and I wholeheartedly recommend Wolf Creek Motorsport Rentals to anyone looking for a high-quality motorcycle rental. I will definitely be renting from them again in the future!
Julian was awesome!!! Very flexible with pick up and drop off times. He was also very helpful in the operation of the machine. I would definitely recommend this place over and over. We liked it so much we ended up getting the slingshot for a second day on our trip. Thank u
Absolutely amazing experience from booking over the phone to pick-up to return. We rent Slingshot and enjoyed every minute of it in the beautiful NC Smoky Mountains scenic roads. Thanks to the owner and the people who work with him.
Wolf Creek Rentals was an absolute pleasure to do business with. Pick-up and drop-off were a breeze with these guys. I've yet to have a more professional experience with any rental service to date. The Polaris Slingshot was a friggin' blast to drive, with some of the best roads to tour in Appalachia. The Stecoah location for this company is absolutely on-point for anyone hungry for twisties. This area is near and dear to our hearts, and there's no doubt in my mind we'll be back for another Slingshot rental in the future. Thanks Wolf Creek! 🤟😎🤟 - SuperDave
Thank you for the great service. Very helpful! Great selection of motorcycles! The Smoky Mountains are dream roads to ride! Thanks again!
Wolf Creek Rentals to my rescue!!!!!! I frequently travel to Western N.C. with one of my own motorcycles. However, late Friday afternoon my motorcycle suffered a horrific engine failure. I contacted Wolf Creek Rentals and they kindly reserved a motorcycle for me for all day Saturday. I had a tough time picking because their selection is fantastic! I ended up choosing the Triumph Rocket III and spent the entire day visiting all of my happy places!! The customer service is outstanding and the check-in & drop off process is highly efficient--there is no time to waste when you want to be riding!!! I highly recommend Wolf Creek Rentals if you are ever in the area and are interested in a motorcycle, CanAm Spider, Sling Shot, ATV, Jeep, etc.... They even have a couple of beautiful Vanderhalls!!! 2 Thumbs up.

Amazing 360 degree views for such a short hike.
We went there on March 17 in the morning. It was so beautiful…. Magical place….
Short hike with a slight elevation gain. Absolutely beautiful. Only a few parking spaces so its usually packed during peak season, even on weekdays lately so here we are in the winter! Must hike this and Hooper Bald if you’re traveling the Cherohala Skyway. Wish I had known about Bald River Falls this day, check that out too!
It was a Beautiful day for a short hike with our Youngest Grandson had a great time and Great views of The Mountains there is so much to see here it Tellico and Robbinsvill to see all the Fall Colors..😀
Less than two miles all the way up and back, but over 300 feet of climbing. Path is beat up in areas, but the 360 degree views are awesome.
Couldn’t see the mountains due to the foggy conditions but it was still a beautiful hike, and cool to see with the clouds at our level 👍🏻
This is a relatively short trail, about a mile out and back with moderate incline over the distance. More strenuous in short section's but still not what would be considered intense. The views from the top of the knob make the relative effort worthwhile however.
Good hike with the kids and dog on a leash. Don’t stop at the first meadow. 360 views. Bring a picnic if it’s not too windy that day. If it is windy, bring a kite.

These guys are amazing. I’ve never been fly fishing before, but I’ve always wanted to learn - so I decided to take a guided trip with Jeff and Terry. They are both extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. I took my dad and son out with me. My father is 72, my son is 14. We caught a ton of trout. Rainbow, brook and brown. Never fished before. These guys know what they’re doing and go above and beyond. Jeff even made himself available after the trip was over. Provided me with a ton of information via text about knots, fly line, fly rods etc… lunch/drinks were provided, and Jeff even took pictures so we have something to remember the trip by. These guys really are a class act and I would give them 100 stars if I could. Thank you Jeff and Terry, and thank you Nantahala Fly Fishing Co. We will be back.
This was our first time fly fishing and our guide Jeff was up to the challenge. Polite, considerate and most definitely patient! All the skills and knowledge you would expect and his love for fly fishing is obvious. Highly recommend and hope to go out with him again next time we visit.
What a great day my husband and I had in paradise. As beginners we weren't sure what to expect. Jeff did a great job! We felt at ease from the moment we met him. He was professional, friendly, extremely knowledgeable of the area, and has a genuine passion for the sport. We met some wonderful people, had a day that was both relaxing and exciting at the same time, and caught lots of trout. We are hooked!
Daniel, owner and guide, provided a great day of fishing through his knowledge of the area, stream and more over, where the fish were, what they ate and how to fish them. In addition, he is a very congenial outgoing personality ready with a funny story, history of the area and local lore. That, the fish caught, beautiful scenery and the perfect weather he called up ;-) made for one of the best wade trips I've been on. I look forward to going out with him again. I recommend him unequivocally. AND the photos are by Daniel!
Great Time and Great Fishing! Daniel took me in to a nice stream near Lake Santeetlah. We had a great day of fishing, catching some nice size Rainbows. We didn’t see anyone else fishing all day. I learned some new things that will really help me become a better fly angler. I highly recommend fishing with Daniel Boone. This was my second fishing trip with him and I will probably go back in the Fall. He is a good guy to hang out with and he knows his fishing. Graham County is a wonderful place to visit for fishing, camping and many family friendly outdoor activities.
We have been wanting to go fly fishing for some time now. Jeff made our first time fantastic. He is knowledgeable, patient and just plain awesome. We went to a beautiful spot that was truly majestic. My wife and I truly enjoyed our time fishing with Jeff we highly recommend him and his company for any fly fishing adventures! Fiver stars are not enough.
Jeff was an awesome instructor who worked well with my and my wife’s very discrepant exposure to fly fishing. He helped us both grow, learn, and definitely have fun. His patience and diagnostic skill met us where we were and developed our skills dramatically in 2 days. My wife went from no experience to roll casting, false casting, mending, and placing her casts. He taught me new and exciting options in fly fishing including nymphing. We definitely look forward to coming and working with this company again.
Jeff made our fly fishing trip a great time! He was extremely patient with my two sons and is very knowledgeable. We truly enjoyed our time fishing with Jeff and we highly recommend him and Nantahala Fly Fishing Co for your fly fishing adventure!
