Well worth a visit and supporting a good cause. The Lions, Tigers, and Bears Sanctuary is not a zoo. I was pleased to see that the animal enclosures are very large, secure, and clean. We learned the difference between the San Diego Zoo and Safari Park, is that the zoo is a conservatory and this sanctuary is a rescue. The animals that came to the sanctuary came from backyard owners, breeders, neglect, entertainment industry, etc. It's nice to see the animals live out the rest of their lives at the sanctuary.
We had a wonderful time visiting the animal sanctuary and were happy to contribute by purchasing some donation items for the zoo. It was heartwarming to see the rescued animals being cared for, although it was sad to learn that many had been mistreated in the past. The highlight of our visit was getting tickets to feed the animals, which was an unforgettable experience. Visitors could choose to feed lions, bears, or tigers. My husband chose to feed a lion, which seemed to be the most popular option. Unfortunately, the first couple in line took a long time feeding the lion, so by the time it was our turn, we were only allowed to feed it three times. While we understand the staff needs to regulate feeding portions, it would have been nice if they managed the time more equally for everyone. This sanctuary is best suited for visitors 18 and older, as feeding the animals is an activity reserved for adults. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the venue itself is unique and versatile. It’s a cool place to host events or simply relax while spending time with the animals. We’re looking forward to staying overnight next
We can't say enough good things about the amazing work done at Lions, Tigers & Bears on Alpine, CA, just 40 minutes from downtown San Diego. It's a truly certified & accredited sanctuary - no touching the animals, no photos next to them, they are in huge enclosures with grass and dirt under their paws, and may live out their rescued lives in peace. I have close-ups of the animals, but you don't see the huge areas they live in that mimic their natural habitat as much as possible. The white tiger in with the orange tiger, we saw them when they were almost babies and maybe 20lbs, they are now 150lbs. We always see something different each time we go. Being a member is a great way to go often. San Diego is lucky to have the Zoo & Safari Park out here, but Lions, Tigers & Bears is another not to miss experience if you are nearby. These are wild animals that have been saved from lives of abuse - like two of the lions rescued from that Tiger King scum. Lions, Tigers & Bears help save 70 of all his Tigers and found accredited homes for the other 68 felines. Did you know white tigers are from specific purposeful inbreeding and they have eye and health issues due to it - pretty yes, but WRONG to be bred like that. They also just got a "liger" (pics 13&14) - purposefully bred lion & tiger - WRONG!!! So many health problems. Poor thing. In person, we could see her very faint tiger stripes. She is getting used to seeing people go by and acclimating to the sanctuary. Never stop at an unsanctioned or non-accredited roadside "zoo," nor anything involving wild animal petting, ANY animal circus, animal fights, exotic animal "hunting," or where animals are chained up and/or in small, concrete floor enclosures. Those are not safe for the animals - tell your kids "no" and that you'll take them to a real, safe zoo or sanctuary (and always check their credentials). And if it is a domestic animal farm, still look for cleanliness, do the animals look well feed, humane conditions, no choke-chains, antagonizing, or other harsh behavior. Stop by and see the Lions, Tigers & Bears whenever you can - it should be on everyone's SoCal experience list!
An absolutely beyond-this-world experience! We were deeply moved by Bobbie’s story and truly admire her courage and dedication to rescuing animals and raising awareness about the heartbreaking reality of exotic animal trafficking
Had a fabulous birthday tour by Jeremy & Lynn recently. Our party of 3 was the only tour that day so they gave us special attention. We got to see EVERYTHING & observe a lot of feeding, as well as I got to feed a lion. They were both very personable, knowledgeable, professional, kind & caring about their animals. They shared many stories, anecdotes, & facts. Every employee we met while there were friendly & appeared very joyful to be there. I highly recommend a visit & hope you get to meet Jeremy & Lynn. The animals have an amazing forever home & so happy to know they now have good medical care, loving attendants, peace & safety away from their previous horrible conditions.
It was a great experience! You have to buy your ticket in advance, because the experience consists of an organized tour (1.5 hrs), and then you can roam the grounds on your own. Eddie the Jaguar was amazing. The sanctuary was very clean, with well-maintained enclosures and spaces that made both the animals and visitors feel safe and comfortable. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, always ready to answer questions or provide more information about the animals and their stories. You can also feed some of the animals, which is cool. The sanctuary itself was beautiful, set amidst picturesque surroundings that added to the peaceful atmosphere. It was easy to get to as well. Large highways most the way, and NO winding mountain roads, which is nice. I left feeling inspired and grateful for the work the sanctuary is doing. It’s a perfect place for animal lovers and families. However, small children may not like some of the images of abused animals during the 20-minute video at the beginning of the tour. Great experience. Highly recommend!
My husband and I visited the sanctuary from the east coast as part of a week long vacation in California. Even though this was only two hours of our trip, it’s all we’re still talking about now that we’re home. We did the Feed With a Keeper tour and had Chris as our volunteer guide. I was impressed with how passionate and knowledgeable she was about the animals. She went out of her way to make sure we had a great experience. We even got to talk to Bobbi briefly and the lead keeper, Cody. Our tour was closer to 3 hours, even though we only paid for 2. She wanted to make sure we had plenty of opportunity to meet and feed all the amazing animals. Being that close to and interacting with the big cats and bears was absolutely awe inspiring and I’ll never forget it. I work in the animal behavior field and spent many years working in an animal shelter and was impressed with the care and enrichment the animals at the sanctuary received. Truly a special place. I wish we lived closer, we would come back again and again!
Lions, Tigers, & Bears My family of 6 adults and a 10-year-old visited LTBs last week. The sanctuary is in a nice setting just off Route 8 in Alpine. The visit was prebooked as is the requirement, which made entry pleasantly efficient, and limits crowd size to a small tour group. The staff handling visitors were mostly volunteers. They were all very welcoming and the overall atmosphere is relaxed. Upon arriving bobcats and lions can be easily viewed, which was fun to see. They don't really cater kids which was actually refreshing and helped keep the vibe chill. The tour kicks off with a video explaining how the sanctuary started and the overall mission to save abused wild animals and to lobby for laws preventing future abuse. This theme is emphasized throughout the tour. The walking tour lasted over an hour and introduced us to many big cats (Tigers, including a beautiful White, Lion, Jaguar), a couple Himalayan Black Bear, and a Grizzly. When we arrived, we had purchased an additional ticket to feed an animal. I had the special privilege of feeding a lion some chicken, which was a great experience. Overall, Lions, Tigers, & Bears was a fun family half day away from city crowds that offered a valuable learning experience about the plight of far too many animals and the good work of some trying to remedy the problem.

I recently stayed at this amazing hotel, resort, and casino, and it truly exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I arrived, the staff greeted me warmly and professionally, making me feel instantly welcome. The rooms were spacious, spotless, and beautifully designed, offering both comfort and elegance. The bed was extremely comfortable, the view was breathtaking, and every detail—from toiletries to Wi-Fi—was perfect. The resort amenities were incredible. The pool was pristine with attentive service, the spa was rejuvenating, and the fitness center had top-notch equipment. Dining was a highlight: delicious, diverse cuisine served with excellent attention to detail. The casino was exciting and well-organized, offering a wide range of games and a friendly, professional staff. What truly sets this place apart is the personalized service. Every staff member went above and beyond to make my stay smooth and memorable. Whether you’re looking for luxury, relaxation, or entertainment, this hotel, resort, and casino delivers on all fronts. I highly recommend it! Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Viejas is a beautiful Casino. The chandeliers and lighting are exquisite. The rooms are beyond beautiful and the decor is priceless. They have many new slots I've never seen before with high end graphics. The only thing I found odd was that we were not allowed to use the refrigerator even though we had purchased the food at Viejas. But all and all a fantastic place. I highly recommend it. The snack shop has a lots of healthy food and is open all nite and is very reasonable. I found an interesting way to get up there rather than just taking 8 frwy. There's alot of side roads that offer beautiful scenery and no traffic at all.
I feel like I'm at home whenever I visit Viejas Casino. Atmosphere is so casual & friendly. But you can dress in the finest too & feel very comfortable. Great selection of games & there promotions & free offers are outstanding. The whole surrounding area is so Serene and a beauty to look at. I feel very tranquil looking at the scenes from anywhere at Viejas. The rooms are outstanding. Very clean throughout the whole place. And every staff member are so nice, friendly & helpful. I felt like family & like I belonged. And plenty of great places to eat with some of the best food I've ever eaten.
I Actually Like This Casino, Hotel & Outlet Center. I Definitely Had A Good Time In Casino With My Friends From LA. I Definitely Found Some Good Sale's @ The Gap. We Had Lunch @ The Grab & Go. Oh Yeah The BBQ Sandwich, Fries, Clamchowder, Free Cold Drink & Cheese Cake. Oh Yeah Everything Was Delicious. I Totally Recommend This Awesome Casino.
A three sounds about right for this one. The staff is nice in all departments. The variety of slots are nice. The variety of table games isn't the great compared to others. Food is really good. Did have a problem with the pool at The Willow. I don't know how they would let someone bring glass candles to the pool. They had to shut down the pool and re drain it. I do recommend this location to other as long as an incident does happen like that again.........
We didn't stay at the hotel, we went for the ZZ Top concert. The only service we used was at the bar. Great service and a generous pour. The venue is nice under the stars but the folding chairs you sit on were not at all comfortable. They are zip tied together so you can't move them which makes sense, but the main issues are: The chairs are too close together, I was shoulder to shoulder with the guy next to me, not comfortable. The other issue with the seating is there is no center aisle. Our seats were in the middle so to get out, I would have go past about 22 people! Seriously, the rows had 45 chairs in the row and we were 23. Great seats for the concert and ZZ Top was amazing! They still got it. Loved the concert, venue, not so much.
I love this casino.... especially playing "2cent whales of cash" and the workers are nice..... they do have alot of informants walking around trying to snap a quick picture of you , acting like they are on the phone, knowing dam well theres nobody on the other end of the line.....
Coming from a NorCal avid casino goer, this was a very good casino and only 40 minutes from SD. Rooms were a little cramped and the floor had a ton of machines only feedback was the weird layout. Food options were great as well as a 24hr grab and go.

The Viejas outlets are great because there's always plenty of parking, great selection of stores, there's a skating rink, coffee, chocolate, and food. I would rather go shopping for clothes here than any mall any day! Plus the layout of the place is really neat with statues and interesting facts about the Native Americans who have been in this area of the world! Thank you for all of you who designed this place and keep up the grounds here!
The Levi Store staff was attentive and very helpful. They were busy but everyone seemed to be satisfied with the staff.
There weren't that many stores of various brands, but there was a Nike Clearance outlet, so I shopped very cheaply. There were only a lot of restrictions on size, but it's highly recommended for those who wear a big size. I bought shoes, hats, and many other products at a low price. Please check it out
Viejas casino was an exciting place to spend Sunday Just as I know every casino for the 1st hour it seems that slots are easy to get Bonus with $20 But from experience when I lose 2 $20 bills it's time to eat. But an 3pm just click work slots are are easy to win with $20 Here i will provide 2 slot tickets But viajes has great customer service
I'm not sure what happened to the outlets. They used to be busy and full of stores. They still have some stores but nothing like it had before. I honestly won't waste my time on the outlets and head right to the casino instead. The casino is really nice and worth the trip. Just an additional note: during the holiday season they have an outdoor ice rink to skate at.
After visiting for the first time in the year 1999, we came back in 2024. Still very good for a stop in-between.
We love it here we have our lunch & ready to shop afterwards. Especially Nike’s
Great experience and feel, my wife and I enjoyed ourselves. Some business have shut down due to COVID-19.

Amazing experience! We took our daughter to Sky Falconry to celebrate her birthday. Our family loves birds especially birds of prey so this was very special. We got very up close to owls and a falcon which was wonderful. The staff was professional, informative and fun. We highly recommend this experience to anyone who loves animals and wants to learn more about these beautiful birds. Memorable day!!!
We had an excellent experience at Sky Falconry. The drive up offers magnificent views. Kirk was a brilliant host with an excellent knowledge base who gave a humorous introductory lecture which was both informative and entertaining followed by a fantastic hands on experience with a Harris Hawk. My 8yo son and husband loved their lesson and myself and our younger children had a great time as observers. Highly recommend.
Absolutely amazing experience! We participated in the Private Raptor Experience plus meeting an Owl and it was incredible! Kirk and Cory were so friendly and knowledgeable about these beautiful birds and educated us about them. We got to hold the birds, walk with them, and fly them! I would 10/10 do this experience again. Lifelong memories were created! Thank you!
This was such an incredible birthday gift for my partner—truly an experience of a lifetime! The falconry staff were knowledgeable, witty, and so much fun. Their passion for what they do really shined through and made the entire experience even more special. I especially appreciated how they incorporated education around animals, wildlife, and environmental conservation—it added so much meaning. We did the basic falconry lesson with the Hawk and absolutely loved it. Can’t wait to come back and try the other experiences!
My experience at Sky Falconry far exceeded my expectations, which were pretty high to begin with. I had wanted to get close to birds of prey for a long time, but due to personal issues, I kept having to postpone it. Perhaps being forced to wait made things better. First of all Sky Falconry is located in one of the nicest parts of the back country, and on the day that I showed up the weather was phenomenal. The drive to the top provided nice views of Alpine and the surrounding area. Kirk and Corey, the guys who run Sky Falconry, are passionate about the birds they care for and show off, very knowledgeable, and just really nice. When everyone arrived, we gathered together to learn about the birds we were going to come into contact with, the history of falconry, and some of the habitat and environmental issues affecting birds of prey. (If you weren't careful, you might actually learn something.) Kirk and Corey saw to it that everyone had an opportunity to interact with the owls and the falcon, and true to what they told us, the two species of birds were very different. Both bird are truly amazing hunters and flyers that with little more than an outstretched arm, come right to you. (Okay, maybe a little food also did the trick.) I could go on for a long time trying to describe the experience, and I wouldn't come close. I left feeling much more positive about the world. I highly recommend trying it for yourself.
Really nice views of Alpine and the surrounding area on the way to Falconry. Kirk and Corey are amazing guys! Very knowledgeable and passionate. Our kids enjoyed interaction with birds and we had absolutely wonderful time! Highly recommended! Thank you so much, Kirk and Corey!
Was our first time out there and we brought relatives from out of state to join us. We all learned something from the education portion and the hands on expert was amazing! Kurt and Cory were so good with the birds. The love and respect for them was refreshing. The two gentlemen worked so well together and had a good time with the group. Thank you for an absolutely amazing experience. We will definitely do this again.
Absolutely amazing! Our guides were incredible and it was quite an experience. We learned so much. A great bucket list item! Highly recommend it.

Always enjoy walking our dogs here. The peaceful beauty of the land is like eye candy, especially in the Fall and Spring seasons. Be careful once weather starts warming up as snakes will be up and about. It would be wise to keep your dog on a leash during warmer times. We sure appreciate having this area to use, but it would REALLY help if park management could scrape a few of the main trails as they are very uneven... Making it tricky to navigate for us humans LOL, not our dogs.
Beautiful, open space. We didn’t make it too far down the trail as we got there just before sunset but it was a nice walk with the pup and family time. Will be back soon!
Nice enough, not worth going out of your way. No official parking
Wright’s Field in Alpine California is. 230 acre nature reserve. It has approximately 26 trails that cross back and forth through the reserve that are used for hiking, dog walking, trail running, and mountain 🏔 biking. Not really a destination to visit but great for locals to run and walk their dogs 🐕.
Great spot for an easy stroll through a wide open space. Pretty flat with lots of smaller path options aside from the main trail. It's a hidden gem nestled in an Alpine neighborhood.
It’s very barren, but there are a few people so you feel kind of safe, but it’s also kind of lonely sometimes and it gets scary when I see these giant paw prints
Beautiful place to go for a hike. Its an open field with fairly flat ground. An easy trail you can walk on for 20 minutes or 3 hours. I personally prefer it at sunset.
This is a lovely local spot for a hike, that is not too strenuous.

Still a great brewery. Now offering a full menu, the pub is a really laid back place with both indoors and outdoors seating both with a beautiful setting. The beer, as always, exceptionally good and the food is equally good. You have your typical pub food, sandwiches, burgers, finger food, plus BBQ plates. The beer battered fries and onion rings are delicious compliments to the food. You have a variety of sauces including one with peaches, which is delicious. We have a dessert which was a peanut butter sandwich, fried - as all things should be, with pairs nicely with a stout. Cheers to Tyler and Eddie for such an awesome service.
Stopped by here driving through Alpine for some beer and snacks. The beer was really good, the guys had a bunch of different flavors, all were great. The broccoli thing was really good. The wings and pizza are great too!
A great venue with a lovely outdoor patio. Pet friendly, handicap accessible, plenty of parking, a large variety of ice cold beers & tasty bar foods. Fast and friendly service.
1st time trying under new "owners" and wow I wish I came sooner. Delicious pizza dough and the meatballs were great. French fries yum. New fav place. Oh ya the beer rocks too.
Aside from the beer, the food is ok. I love to support Alpine, but the food here could be a bit better. There’s really only two BBQ places in Alpine, so I’d rather be at this one since the atmosphere is great. The patio seating is nice if you have kids. It’s worth trying it out.
I stopped by with my son who wanted pizza. I went to this business because my sister and several friends recommended the place. I am glad I did. My son loved his food which came with strawberries!! See photo.
Still giving 5 stars even with the hour long wait. Hehe Was worth the wait. Besides the food being absolutely delicious, our server, Linden was AWESOME!! Did everything with a smile. Very personable and engaging and always check on us. Their pork ribs and their house bbq (assuming thats what the unlabeled bottle was) was AWESOME!! Potato salad - Awesome! Brussel sprouts - Awesome! Flourless cake - AWESOME!! With vanilla ice cream on the side - AWESOMER!! HAHAHA
Worth the drive. Great beer. Great food. Friendly people.

Viejas Bowling is where fun meets soccer mom energy! The atmosphere is awesome, and their party planners are so helpful—you can even use your players card for group discounts. But let’s be honest, the real magic happens when the beer flows. Nothing brings out my competitive side quite like a few strikes and a pint with the other soccer moms. Trust me, after a few rounds, we’re all ready to trade in our minivans for bowling shoes and pretend we're in the big leagues. Cheers to beer, bowling, and moms night out
We had a great time! The bowling alley is clean, and the staff is really friendly and helpful. The lanes we were on froze up a few times, as did our neighbors, but they were quick to help rectify the issue and issued us extra time for the waiting. $30 for an hour (about 2 games with 3 of us) plus shoes ended up around $45 for an hour of bowling. We've been coming here for years, and they have always kept it clean and well maintained. They have pretty good food, a few tv's with sports, and a small bar with beers on tap. This hidden gem is just that, a gem.
We had a company party - All DJM Insurance Services loved the place and had so much fun!
My family and friends recently celebrated a birthday at Viejas Bowling in Alpine, California, and it was an absolute blast! We opted for the Platinum Bowling Party Package, and it exceeded all our expectations. The package, priced at an affordable $28 per person, included a fantastic array of offerings. The two-hour bowling session, complete with shoes, allowed us ample time to enjoy the lanes. The pizza slices were delicious, and the large salad provided a refreshing break. The two drinks per person were a thoughtful touch, with sodas for minors and beer for the adults. The gift bag for each guest was a delightful surprise, and the personalized sign and balloon bouquet added a festive touch to the celebration. The bowling sports cup was a great keepsake! Making reservations was a breeze, and the staff at Viejas Bowling ensured everything ran smoothly. The environment was clean, well-maintained, and had a vibrant atmosphere. The personalized sign and balloon bouquet made our area feel extra special, and it was clear that the staff went the extra mile to make our celebration memorable. One thing that stood out was the additional food and drinks available in the cafe area. The options were not only affordable but also tasty, providing a convenient and budget-friendly way to supplement our celebration. Overall, our experience at Viejas Bowling was fantastic. The Platinum Bowling Party Package was worth every penny, and the combination of great service, clean surroundings, and thoughtful inclusions made it a day to remember. I highly recommend Viejas Bowling for any party or get-together — they know how to make your celebration special!
Really awesome place to take all the family to have fun! Employees are super friendly and helpful. We’ve been coming to bowl here for over 10 years now and it never disappoints.
Love this place! But the reason I come back is the service! I have to highlight Greg, who will assist you behind the bar with all of your food and drink needs! He was super friendly and honestly I just loved his personality. He was so pleasant to talk to when I visited. He was super helpful and answered all of my questions. Greg not only recommended my food options, but also paired a delicious beer to go with it! This man should be in the casino as a bartender because his personality is perfect for it. I've been in the industry for over 20 yrs, so I think I can make the judgement of an asset to the company. The food here is super affordable, and the lanes are fun. I had a BBQ burger that was smackin! If you ever are in the area go say hi to Greg and let him display some superior service. Because of the fun atmosphere, lip smackin food, and unparalleled service, it's an easy 5 stars. ✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️😎🤟🏽👍🏽✊🏽
We are apart of the bartech team currently servicing the hotel. Anna and bree have been amazing both times I've stopped by. Super friendly and outgoing! Would recommend this as a go to spot for some drinks and food.

First time here, and we were not disappointed. The food was yummy! My husband did not love his chili dog, BUT I extremely loved my wrap. It was so delicious. My pregnant self was craving buffalo chicken, and that wrap was just... perfect!! The avocado was a perfect touch, too, and the sweet potatoes with the pineapple sauce, just exquisite. I need to go back soon!!
Absolutely great burger, but what really sealed the deal for me was the sweet potato fries. Paired with or without the marmalade and ranch, they were the best sweet potato fries I have ever had. Absolutely recommend this place for its friendly staff and fantastic food.
Order the Steak Sandwich - it was so flavorful and tender. I also ordered the sweet potato fries and they had the perfect crunch, along with marmalade dip. Wow! Super chill mountain bar feel to it and the staff are great.
A nice tavern & grill in Alpine. They have a good selection of draft beer and tavern food, burgers, pizza, sandwiches, and appetizers. We had a very tasty Jalapeño burger and Carnasada fries. A popular spot.
Good food and great service. Be sure to arrive with an appetite. The portions are quite large. We enjoyed the potato skins and split an avocado bacon burger that came with lots of sweet potato fries with orange marmalade -- so good! We ended up taking half of the potato skins home.
Service was horrible. They were training a new girl who completely forgot about one of our orders. We had a party of 6 who all ordered at the same time. All of us but one got their food after about a 30 min wait. They forgot one of our orders, a simple BLT which we then had to ask about 3 times before they said they put the order in for. Good food Bad service. Its a nice atmosphere as long as you sut outside in the shade. Just expect to wait an hour for your food orders.
Friendly wait staff. Very attentive. If you get a chance, check out their boneless wings. And double up on their blue cheese sauce! You won't regret it
I rated food, service, atmosphere all 5 stars because if you dine in its all five star worthy. But my ultimate rating is a 2 strictly because of take out every take out order I've gotten from here something has been wrong and or quantity of food is a lot less than you would get dining in but today my oder was completely butchered. My chili cheese burger the chilli was majorly skimped but when you dine in its heavy pouring down the sides, as well the chilli was quite dry my other order was a bacon chesse burger with cheddar chesse and no raw onion add grilled onions...there was no bun on the burger there was a different kind of chesse not cheddar and the onion were 95% raw and 5% grilled... look weather im dining in or doing take out the quality and quantity should be the same i mean lets be real the price stays the same. The cook should know this!! Also for the cook it dosent matter if the kitchen is just opening or about to close and u just want to get home quality and quantity should be on point from begging to end every minute and every second of the day

We’re new to Alpine and so we bought our Christmas tree at Alpine Garden and Gifts this year and it was a great experience! Free (hot and good!!!) coffee and hot chocolate and the place is magical. Reminded us of Idyllwild and there was Christmas charm everywhere 😊.
Very interesting place, it keeps going and going. The main gift shop was our favorite. Variety of items, jewelry, clothes, wind chimes, home decor. Friendly, personable staff. Good place to go if you want antiques or yard art or succulents.
I received flowers on several occasions and none have ever compared to the floral arrangement I received from A Cut Above. Kathy is AMAZING!! Here arrangements are unique, creative, beautiful and one of a kind. I have also hired Kathy to create an entire way plant for my business. She came to my location, saw the current decor and delivered something beautiful for my office. I get compliments quite frequently about how lovely the plant is. If you want something a cut above the rest, hire Kathy!!!! The garden is great for the whole family and don't miss the vintage market festivals!!
I love this place! You can find the best gifts here AND enjoy tranquil atmosphere...the pond, the parrot, a great cup of coffee. This is my "go to place" for unique gifts and when I just want a little something for my home. Kathy Matranga has put her touch on this shop, it is creative, whimsical and unique...you must check it out!
Kathy designed the floral arrangements for my daughter's wedding at the Water Conservation Garden. The arrangements were a beautiful blend of succulents and exotic flowers. It created a very natural setting for a very special day. She was thrilled.
Alpine Garden and Gifts is a treasure in Alpine. It’s an antique mall, a garden nursery, coffee shop, and a unique artisan gift shop all in one place. There is a tranquil turtle pond and a boisterous parrot which are also unique to the property. This is a great place to stroll, especially after lunch at Alpine Beer Company’s new location which is right around the corner. The prices on the antiques are amazing and there’s a cabin filled with creations by local artisans including jewelry, soaps, candles, leather, paintings, fiber arts, etc. This place is worth the drive to Alpine! There’s also a vintage flea market on second Sunday’s of the month with music and food. Don’t miss a visit to this place.
Today I finally went and checked out the place called Alpine Garden and Gifts. My husband had been wanting a Chinese lantern statue that is made of concrete for our backyard. It was less expensive than the ones we saw in clairemont and better looking. Bought it & also got this really cute bear holding a fish also made of concrete for me. They have alot of plants & collectables to choose from. The lady who helped me was Cathy she was very friendly. A place I will go back to for sure. If you haven't been stop by...
Alpine Garden and Gifts is a magical place. Kathy has a tendentious eye for design. She has helped redecorating my entire living room with simple things that I would of never thought of. Kathy made our holidays delightful by delivering the most beautiful Christmas tree to my house, as well has helping my company decorate for a last min mini trees that smelled amazing. Alpine Garden and Gifts has delivered countless excellent gift baskets for some of my best clients. Kathy and Alpine Garden and Gifts have really gone above and beyond to make gift giving easy and delightful with beautiful plant arrangements. Thank you - Thank you!

Great views of SD county. On clear days you can see San Clemente Island, Catalina Island, the Coronado Islands, Mount San Jacinto, and even Mount Baldy.
This was a beautiful hike overall. That being said there are some pros and cons of course. * PROS: It is an amazing hike! The trails have great plant and animal life and the view hiking up is very cool. You get to see a LOT of various rock formations. When you get to the top you have a breath-taking view of San Diego. In fact with the last photo I put on here, you can see how far you've come and it's gnarly! You're even greeted by the American flag if you keep your eyes peeled. It's quiet and very peaceful. Not crowded at all. * CONS: Depending on your location it is a bit of drive upwards of 30-45mins there and back. So, if you have some where to be afterward, leave yourself plenty of time. Then there's includes the hike itself. For me it was about two hours round trip. Which isn't a bad thing but I would say this is a STRENUOUS hike all things considered. There is a lot of lose rock as you acsend and descend so make sure you watch your footing and pick your spots carefully. Highly recommend brining plenty of water and a first aid kit just in case. Finding the spot was a little tricky. I ran into a lady who was walking and told me where to park and look for the trailhead. There's no signage but there is a "turn out" area where you can park and the entrance is right across from where you park. There isn't a lot of space so keep that in mind. As beautiful as the plant life is, sometimes it does feel like it chokes the trail here and there. This could be very crowded like Cowles if a lot of people were on it very easily. * OVERALL: If you're up for a good challenge and good pay off at the end, this is a hike for you! Make sure to be aware, have good footwear and leave yourself time if needed. Once you make it to the top, it'll all be worth it. ✨ 😀
Nice challenging hike. Short, steep and no shade. 3 miles total to the peak and back
Gorgeous backdrop for the backcountry of San Diego.
Beautiful scenery! Not too strenuous..just right!
Relaxing and amazing view from the top of the mountain.
When it describes the trail as 'Difficult'...believe it!!

Can’t believe I haven’t left a review on this place yet. I tried Native Dreams because it seemed like the kind of place that offered quality over quantity. And did not disappoint. I truly believe there is no one in San Diego better than Tange at Native Dreams. I’ve had her do my mani pedi and hair and makeup. Especially if you live in East County, literally no one even comes close to the level of service you get here.
Awesome friendly staff, all very professional and skilled. I did the biggest package with a 90 minute massage, 90 minute facial, Mani, pedi, and lunch. Very reasonably priced and and exactly what I needed on my birthday! My face looks ten years younger, my body aches from work are gone, my nails are fierce, any my toes are gorgeously done. And those fish tacos on the menu were on point my friends. Strongly suggest for a spa experience without the snobs and traffic. Will be going again!
My last massage at native dreams was one of the best that I have ever had, and I have had massages from all over the world! I received a 90 min deep tissue from Rose. Her skills and hand strength showed from beginning to end. She had great techniques, and really knew how to pin point and get in to the tense muscles. This place runs a very good business and they really do strive to provide a 5 star experience.
Melissa is simply wonderful!! I have been going to her for massage work for a little over a month and have enjoyed every visit! She works with my and explains the way to get the best results. It's so calm and peaceful. I have noticed a big difference, I primarily started going to her because I suffer from migraines and since seeing her my migraines have gone down significantly!!
Went for a facial and had an hour of pampering. This was the most relaxing experience ever. My entire body felt this amazing experience. Heather worked gently through every application of moisturizers, Peel and hydration. There was a should massage as well. I cannot say enough praise for Heather and her skilled hands. My friend also had a facial with Kat and had the same reviews for her. We will treat ourselves again!
What a great find! Makes me wished I lived closer so I could visit the salon and Tangerine every week to be pampered! I got the manicure / pedicure combo, and it was beyond worth it! The service was top notch! Being unkempt during these crazy times, I was boarder line embarrassed to go in! Tangerine took care of hands and feet, and they look FABULOUS!! Good conversation and feel good vibes! I will definitely be back every time I'm in this area!! Thank you Native Dreams for going above and beyond!! Looking forward to seeing you guys again!!
What can I say? The best service ever!!! Nails, hair, massage, etc. These ladies are first class and provide service and quality second to none. The owner Tangerine makes you feel like family and Kristina is hair extraordinaire!!! If you are in this area, take a load off and go....you won't be sorry!
Highly recommend the spa never been to one my first and greatest experience was Due To Brenda and Yesi were very helpful in providing the Best services. I'll Definitely go back to them when I'm in the area. Highly appreciated and Recommend starting your San Diego Vacation Here First. 😄

We stopped in at For the LOVE gift boutique in Alpine to get out of the heat. What a wonderful shop. I especially enjoyed visiting with Kelly, the owner, to find out about all the hand-made artisan items she hand selected for her shop. There were even some from my hometown, Ramona! Will make this a regular stop.
Very 🙂 nice place and owner.huge selection of one of a kind things .highly recommend it as a wonderfully gift idea place to shop my friends 21 year old cat passed away and I found the perfect gift
The LOVE Gift Boutique is a scam; they stole my credit card info and tried to make payments in India with it. Their website is a total scam. Kelly B is a fraud master.
Very cute! I enjoyed shopping there! Its small but has so many great gifts. Affordable too! The owner,Kelly, was amazing! She was very pleasant to talk to! I will return!
Such a wonderful shop with unique gifts of all kinds. The store owner is very welcoming and helpful. Highly recommend if you're in the area to stop and look around.
FRAUD/SCAM company - they sign you up for services, get access to your checking account and continue to withdrawal money (it's legal since you gave them access to your account) and the don't deliver.
She is a very nice lady, beautiful, some one of a kind items, prices are good too
Just purchased a bunch of baby gifts absolutely love this place wonderful young lady who owns it is always so kind
