Very cool establishment. Found a $1 from 1982. Food was really good. Little tough to find a table because my daughter and I didn’t want to occupy a four person or more table as they were crowded. We scored a two person table in the bar area. For as busy as it was, service was really quick. Definitely will go back. Food was really good also. Very juicy burger and burro ears were a good side.
We rode up to Oatman on motorcycles from Phoenix. We stopped in at the Oatman Hotel Restaurant and tried a couple of different breakfast meals. The burritos were flavorful and filling, packed with great taste and generous portions. I had the toast, bacon and potatoes, which were cooked just right – crispy bacon and well-seasoned potatoes that hit the spot. The atmosphere of the historic hotel adds so much character and makes the dining experience even better. Friendly service and hearty food make this a must-stop when in Oatman. Make sure you leave a dollar on the wall as it's a tradition you can't miss. FYI I did not stay at hotel so I cannot review. -
What a fun and unforgettable stop! The Oatman Hotel & Restaurant is a place you’ll never want to forget. The staff are incredibly friendly, the food is good, and the prices are very reasonable. But what really makes this place special is the ambience — it’s pure Old West charm from the moment you step inside. Between the historic walls, the dollar bills covering everything, and the lively cowboy atmosphere, it’s an experience you just have to see for yourself. Come hungry, come curious, and come get your cowboy on!
This great little watering hole is in the cutest town on Route 66. The bartender was so attentive and friendly. All the customers are pretty friendly too. What a great atmosphere. Highly recommend!!! (It's called a Hotel, but this is just a drinking/eating establishment)
My friend and I visited midday on Thursday, 10/16/25, and it was busy. We ordered burgers with chips which were very good. The table next to us highly recommended the carrot cake and fudge saying they were freshly made on location. My friend had the carrot cake and I had the fudge. They were also very scrumptious. The place was very unique with defaced one dollar bills everywhere. Neat place to see!
We loved visiting the town of Oatman and it was at the top of my must-see towns, however the Oatman Hotel wasn't what I expected at all. The sign out front is rotting! Inside, the cheap Halloween decorations looked out of place. We decided to not eat there because there were flys everywhere. May I suggest fly strips? We had an ice cream cone instead and got to listen to dirty rap music coming from the open door of the kitchen while we tried to enjoy our ice cream. The profanity in the music was horrible! It ruined the experience of the hotel for us. The girl at the ice cream counter was nice, though I feel sorry that she has to be subjected to such trashy music in her workplace. What could be a beautiful nostalgic hotel is a hole in the wall and was a total disappointment. It could be so much better with a little ingenuity and elbow grease.
The entire place is a wax museum with a pulse. The restaurant’s food is delicious, the service above and beyond, and the atmosphere mind blowing. Feeding the donkeys is a nice touch. I make sure to always bring my friends and family when they visit.
It's an amazing place to visit and hang out. We bellied up to the bar, and to my delight, Carrie, a sweetheart of a bartender and a total doll took care of us. Carrie helped guide us through our food order and drinks. The Wild Buffalo Burger with a side of Burro Ears is delicious! It's a great place for tasty food with a beautiful bartender to make you feel special. Highly recommend! Stop in, look around this amazing place, and definitely eat. Maybe you’ll get lucky and Carrie is working.

I purchased the Cherry Butter in early Nov 2023 and it is so very very good. If I had realized just how good the quality of the butters were I would have purchased more than two. Perhaps I will have to order them now.
Loved our stop in Oatman & this place was a special stop with the motorcycle Museum! Along with the wild burros made it even better.
Ladies were rude, outside smoking and could care less about taking care of the visitors. Go to other places to spend your money
Interesting, quirky, quaint, historic, artsy, old west mining town from the early 1900s that got resurrected for the tourist trade. Lots of domestic donkeys gone wild wandering about. Worth a visit if in the general area and you have a few spare hours .
Great gifts. Some pretty cool antiques and off the wall stuff. Definitely recommend
Purchased a lawn ornament during our travels in our rv. Confirm with clerk it was the correct item without opening the box. Upon return home I opened the box to discover we had the wrong item. Upon contacting the store they provided a full refund . Very pleased
Pretty interesting place! I liked the motorcycle museum up stairs. Fun day with the jackasses roaming the street! Plus you can say you drive on Route 66!
It's hot outside, but this place is cool.

Beautiful drive and views! Lots of tight curves though on drive and roads are not very wide so take it easy and recommend a car vs large vehicle.
Awesome drive. Beautiful scenery. Abandoned mines and old wrecked cars can be seen off the the side of the road. "Sitgreaves Pass is a historic, narrow, and winding road on Route 66 in Arizona's Black Mountains, known for its steep grades and scenic views. Named after Captain Lorenzo Sitgreaves, the pass has an elevation of about 3,550 feet and is considered one of the most challenging sections of the old highway, with steep switchbacks and sharp drop-offs. The route is often traveled by locals and tourists alike, and it is famous for the burros that roam near the town of Oatman."
This is a very windey section of road but it is manageable. We took our 32' class A motor home over it. very scenic but slow goin do sure
Wow! Lovely natural beauty. Not without perils 🫣
If I only do it once in my life time. It was the highlight of my ride to California. I remember this pass the most out of my 2400 mile Oneway ride. The Real Wild West is right in front of your face. (5600 total miles).
Definitely worth the detour, take it slow and easy. Seriously tight turns and steep drops. Well worth it for the view, interesting to see all the old cars that didn’t heed the speed warning.
Fantastic drive with incredible views. Take it easy and use the various pull offs to take photos. It is less scary to head up the road from Oatman than coming from I40. A top 10 drive in my book.
Such an amazing drive with majestic vistas! Take it slow and easy and enjoy the view!

As the name says cool place to stop off and have a look around and use the loo. Lots of T-shirts and gifts and a visitor book to sign. Really friendly chatty lady. Big route 66 sign on floor outside.
Friendly staff, rock building with the prettiest view, happy these historic places are being cared for. Stop in and look around at this unique place.
Cool Springs is worth the drive!! The trip here makes you take your time on the historic Route 66. It transports you!! The views are spectacular! The shop sits atop the edge of a ravine that overlooks a mountain scape that takes your breath away. The shop is everything! The perfect route 66 stop. It has all the necessities and all the tourist needs and wants. Plus, unique gifts, crystals, rocks, and super cool scrap metal art. If you're lucky, you'll get to meet the owners' sweet kitties, Junior was super cuddly and loved on us the whole time we were there. Again, it is worth the stop. It has a place in my heart forever. You will lose cell service until after you pass through Oatman (the next stop that you can not miss after cool Springs).
Big thanks to Geneva. Her heads up about the road ahead likely saved me from the giant patch of gravel, and her mention of the hill above the 90° kickback had breath taking views. Stop in and take a cool drink and get the heads up!
A great places to stop and it's famous from the movies. Inside is a ton of souvenirs everything you would want. If your looking for a route 66 pins stop here.
Our family is on vacation driving Route 66. We stopped along the way and found the original "Raditor Springs" with Mater, Lighting McQueen, etc. If your child lives the Cars movie series they will live this little stop! Must 👀! We ❤️ it!
I brought friends that were visiting from out-of-state they all left with a bag full of goodies and we're very excited with the stop....
This is a Great stop!! The gentleman working there was very knowledgeable about the area history and the gas station history. This is the actual location of Radiator Springs in the movie cars, so your kids will enjoy it too. There are pictures on the wall of the history. If you like rocks, thus is an awesome place to see and buy some amazing rocks and crystals. If you want some souvenirs, they have everything you could possibly want. There are some awesome mugs, jewelry, t-shirts and of course sticks & magnets! Check them out, you wont be disappointed!

Walmart is an excellent place to pick up all your needs in one convenient place. The cashier's are very friendly and helpful. Charlene is one of the best people in there. Pharmacy and money services are just as helpful. Thank you everyone for making our visit pleasant.
I bought some stuff online and had WM ship it to me, two of the 4 or 5 things were glass jars, when I got home, 45 min after the delivery, the box was on the ground but one corner looked wet, and kinda smashed on the bottom. I opened the box and my peanut butter jars were broken, peanut butter splashed on one side of the box, big jars, big mess. I got some paper towels but ended up taking it to the sink, washed the mess off a bag of lentils, the other side wasn't splashed, so lots of fun later I looked at the delivery notice and saw a picture of the box, smashed bottom, NO WET MARK, the peanut butter hadn't melted through the box yet, he just slammed it down, so no mark yet, not so 40-45 minutes later, even the concrete where the box was still has two distinct stains, it was iaround 90 that day so it soaked in deep, this is more than a week later. I've tried to clean them but no good luck 😕 Then I got a email saying that because of the picture of the delivery, NO REFUND, regardless of broken jars of peanut butter, jagged glass, how do you return that? Not the first time the Fed ex guy has done that, the 1st time they said not to return it, and this time too. Why no refund, you think it's my fault?
Aisles are laid out strange. Hard to find some items. The greeter was very nice. The cashier, not so much.
We have shopped here for years. But I have recently been comparing with the other stores and you can definitely find better prices elsewhere. The quality of food is ok, some times. Other times u really have to be careful what u buy! In the last half yr I bought big bags of whole raw chicken. Both bags of 2 birds they were SLIMY! GROSS! And I've stopped getting the bagged romaine Lettuce. The last 5 times I went it had turned. Gross! And just try to get help! If you're lucky there is someone there to help. Like where they have high theft items behind glass. Such a bummer that that has to be so. I used to really like the delivery service. But it's really not wise to buy produce, dairy, meat and eggs that way. The reason why? Produce, you might order bananas and they are either green green, or badly bruised. And like before with my bagged Lettuce, even if it's all browned they still deliver it. Yuck! Meats: I like looking at the prices and expiration date. Dairy: it's the expiration date. Eggs: they really don't check for broken eggs. At least I've had eggs delivered I never would of bought. The cashiers: some are very nice. Others u can't wait to be rid of. We usually shop big once a month. After pay day. We use 2 shopping carts as cases of water, big t.p. and other items take up a lot of space! So one shopping day we were going through the checkout and for the longest time there was no one behind us. The cashier says, "So do u just go through the store picking up random stuff just to get a full cart"? I said no this is our monthly shopping. So she says, "So u know every single thing u have in your carts"? I said yes. I don't always, sometimes the hubby throws stuff in I'm not aware of. But not that time. Just sayin.
Update. Self check is 15 items now and there is ALWAYS a shortage on cashier's. Great Walmart supercenter with ALL the amenities. Tire service, outdoor living (propane tanks and exchange), full size grocery with Hot Deli and all the basic depts for whatever you need. This location also has a gas station with great coffee and lunch necessities.
The Fort Mojave Walmart has helpful and friendly employees, it's always clean and well stocked. Their prices are definitely better than any other store in this area.
Product was available. Denise who check us out was helpful, paid attention to detail when bagging and was friendly. Denise was happy in her job and made us feel welcome to be shopping at Mohave Valley Walmart.
Girl in sporting goods not rude but didn't seem like she wanted to be there

We heard about Yellow Hammer's place from an acquaintance and drove to Oatman to see his shop. He has a display of his hand-made jewelry outside of a big shop. We bought two beautiful matching rings, and he even adjusted one of them to fit perfectly. He is very kind and a talented jeweler.
Yellowhammer makes beautiful homemade native jewelry. He's no longer inside his store but you can find him posted outside most days.
Yellowhammer’s jewelry is well-made and beautiful! The prices are great and he’s a very personable and well-traveled man. One of my main reasons for visiting Oatman.
Yellowhammer creates beautiful jewelry and is so personable. My boyfriend's Grandmother had a great experience with him and he was so happy to meet him in person on a recent day trip.
I grew up visiting Yellow Hammer's place with my Father. We were always welcomed with opened arms by him personally.. I wish I could go by and tell him hello in person, but here I was just looking on Google Map's and had just happened to come across Oatman, AZ and seeing that name brought me right back to my childhood .. wow how amazing..I was so happy when I clicked on the little store icon and it read Yellow Hammer's place, I was worried I wouldn't find it.. I sure hope you read this one day YH. Thank You very much for making an everlasting impression in not only my heart but my life forever.. sending you big hugs, from Me, 😁 now that I'm 34 with two children.. One day I truly hope I can take my children there to feed the donkeys and see the cool live scorpion in your shop, that you showed me when I was small .. take care friend.
EXCELLENT jewlery and very satisfied with what I bought. Custom fitted jewlery by a expert silversmith. I recommend every one if you are looking for good jewlery check Yellow Hammer out first. Quality and expert service. Don't spend money on crap. Buy quality first.
YellowHammer...a very nice man. Did a Native ceremonial blessing over my youngest daughter for her birthday. Nice jewelry, good prices.
Yellow Hammer! I have tried to locate you on Facebook! Jeniffer, maggie, Katie and I had such a great time on Friday in Oatman. We all want to come back! We sure would like to show you our pictures and see if you still have ours posted. Miss you already. Blessings, Bobbi, Katie, Jen and nena!

Had a blast visiting the candy shoppe! Even got the chance to help them bring in some boxes from a delivery! (If you like pickles, you've gotta visit!) Love small towns that look out for each other. Can't wait to head back and visit again!
Absolutely the best candy store anywhere close to where I live. They have such an amazing selection of all of the 'old fashioned candy'! Which has been and always will be the best kind of candy ever. This shop made me feel like a kid again with all these candies! The prices are also very reasonable! Love this store and will be going back really soon!
They have an impressive selection of quality chocolates. I purchased 8 different types and loved all of them. The standouts were the salted chocolate caramels, the chocolate covered gummies, and the cappuccino chocolates. My wife bought a dark chocolate bar that was from Iceland (?!?!?!?!?!?!). They also have normal candy options, drinks, and snacks.
Awesome place, huge variety. Friendly srvc. They have the old-fashioned Xmas candy, taffy, chocolates, sugar-free and so much more.
Lots of choices in taffy, fudge, chocolate, and hard candies. The staff is also very fun to chat with. This is a fun little place to check out and spend a few minutes. Also, I highly recommend the Huckleberry Licorice whips.
We went in to browse the candy selection and the shop owner immediately made us feel unwelcome asking where we came from and if we made a wrong turn. She then started talking politics unprompted and assumed our political stances. It was a very strange and uncomfortable interaction and unfortunately left a sour taste in our mouth for the rest of the town.
Went too Oatman on Sunday had a good lunch at the hotel and on the candy shop . Yummmmm What a great little side trip.
Smells like chocolate heaven! There are Sugar free options . Like you walked back in time to the ole candy shop

Just a good old bar in a really cool ghost town. Stopped in the buy a cold beer. The folks there could not have been more nice. I don't think they serve food, but I wasn't looking for food! Would definitely stop by again. We even got a local to play some acoustic music. FUN
My wife and I visited, bought a beer, went out on the porch and enjoyed our beverage. Prior to leaving I used the restroom, the female bartender called me out in front of a bar full of patrons thinking I used the restroom without patronizing the business! She was most rude unprofessional woman I’ve ever dealt with! No apology just a smartass response. I will never visit nor recommend this dump!
Extremely unfriendly bartender. We only had beer and tipped 1$ per beer but she kept screaming around that we didn‘t tip enough (and less than we actually did) for all other customers to hear. She was nice enough to other customers so no idea what her issue was. The other guy who works there was very friendly, though. Still wouldn‘t recommend if you don‘t want to get randomly yelled at.
Pretty cool old bar. Pool table, outside seating and restrooms. Small selection of beer and beer on tap and single serve wine available.
Solid bar! Full of locals. Standard beer and wine options. Cash only. Radio on. Pool table. Had a great time chatting with the locals and the bartender. Worth stopping by if you’re passing through!
A Place for a Cold Beer Friends suggested we go to Oatman to see the wild burros and see an old mining town that looks like it did in the early 1900's. We saw a few burrows, walked around a little bit, then went into Judy's for a drink. No soda fountain or tap beer here. Cans of soda and bottles of beer. The older male bartender still has no personality - not sure if he even speaks. It looks like this is a regular stop for people out 4-wheeling. Just as we were leaving, two guys, one with an acoustic guitar and the other with a 1-string washtub base started playing music and they were pretty good. This may be the only place for a beer in this town to quench a thirst.
Cool little bar. Very fair prices and kind service. Decent selection of beers too!
Every place in town was fun and friendly accept for the guy working here. I'm not sure if we caught him on a bad day but such a bummer that he had to be so rude. Our entire party found another place to sit and relax. Definitely do not judge the entire town on this place, just keep walking and you'll find fun, happy, friendly, people further down the street.

The Oatman Escape Room!! Wow what a joyous experience! My family and I had so much fun and we cannot recommend this experience enough. It really fits in with the town and feels like a true old west experience. It's a must-do when visiting Oatman! Make sure you book before your visit to Oatman to make sure you get a time slot!!
We had the BEST time at the jailbreak escape room! This was our first time and it was so much fun! If your going to oatman you definitely want to book this!!! A highlight for sure and the most amazing host, thank you!!!
Hands down the best escape room I've ever done! I've completed over 25 escape rooms across the US and this one is by far my favorite and it's located right on route 66! Doesn't get better than that.
My family was visiting for Thanksgiving. We went to Oatman and did the Oatman Jailhouse Escape room, we had two groups of 5. It was a fun family competition. Everyone loved it. It was very creative and the woman that was working that day made it so much fun. It is a must do when visiting Oatman. The price per person was very affordable. We made our reservation on the website. We were contacted by email. It was very easy to schedule.
Wow!! What a fun treat this place is. We have done a couple escape rooms in our past but this one really takes the cake! Not only is it exciting and challenging but the fact that your downtown in an old original ghost town building - looking over the whole town - it’s once in a lifetime! It seriously is so cute inside it looked like somthing out of a vintage magazine! Perfect for any ages I’d say as well. Love love love!! 10/0!!! We felt like true cowboys running a bank robbery or somthing!
We didn't actually get to try the escape room because we were there on a Sunday and also, COVID-19, but honestly, WHAT A GREAT IDEA for an activity in this little town! There's not much else to do except visit some very kitschy stores and feed wild burros. Definitely recommend someone try it and report back! I wish we could have done it.
So much fun! Great themed storyline and good puzzles to solve. The 2 women that helped us were so friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend!
A must-have experience if in Oatman with family/friends! The owner is a very friendly lady who makes sure you get the most out of your time spent there.
