I recently had a fantastic experience with BJ’s ATV Rentals near Pismo Beach. After a bad experience with another rental place, my family and I decided to give BJ’s a try. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. The lady at the desk was super nice, and the entire staff was cool, polite, and friendly. We even got a ride from the beach to the ATV place from a staff member named Maui, who was really cool. The pricing was fair with no hidden costs or extra charges, which was a pleasant surprise. I recommend renting an ATV for one hour, especially if you’re going with kids. It’s the perfect amount of time to enjoy the experience without it becoming overwhelming.
Had a good time riding the dunes on a rental 400ex from BJs. One issue I had renting here was I chose a 9am-11am rental time. Showed up 30 min early like their email says. Office didn't open till 9. So I wasn't riding till 10am. It was 1.5 hrs from when I showed up to when I was riding. Lots of wasted time. If they can't get rentals out that early, maybe just remove the 9am start time option since time is precious while on vacation. Hopefully they can keep these 400s for a while since they are the last company at Pismo that rent real sport quads.
Ashley needs more training on giving friendly customer service. She was rude as seem bothered and overwhelmed. We rented 7 ATV and we have done it before in the past and never have we felt mistreated. It's looks bad for business. After this experience we will not rent from here again. We can always go elsewhere to get better service.
The equipment is garbage. Helmets were needlessly old and heavy, my atv broke down, the carburetor was messed up, shock absorbers were laughable and rusty, gas and smoke blew in my face, the lack of protection on the atv caused my leg to burn, and it took them over half an hour to pick us up in the first place after we were there on time. The only reason it's not one star is because the staff was polite and understanding, and giving us extra time was great, but compared to other atv experiences in pismo, this is not worth a visit. Places such as for example Sun Buggy are way more competent and have an overall better business.
Had a great time. The atv dunes where very fun. Some dunes are a little hard for beginners. But overall very good. By the way the drops are anywhere from 5 feet to 150 feet.
#1 Best Price... Thank you BJ's ATV Rentals for all your help. Cheapest price, Amazing Staff, very friendly & helpful. Took care of all our needs & renting was a breeze. We were 8 ladies rented 2 Honda Pioneers great Vehicles to drive. We decided to have an adventure & the thrill of driving our 15 passanger van on the beach. When we got to BJ's ATV Rentals pick up location, all excited parked our 15 passanger van in soft sand & when we tried to move it...to our surprise our van got stuck in the sand. The STAFF there told us to go enjoy & on return will help us get it out. When we were done, they were ready to help us. Moved all the sand out, tried to reverse, did not work. Then they tied a rope to our van & finally got our Van. We ladies really appreciated them. Made our trip worth every penny filled with fun, adventure & excitement.
Great experience at the dunes with BJ's ATV Rental. Good price, correct organisation, extremely friendly staff at your disposal. The car was powerful and fast, the team was helpful and professional when we got stuck in the sand. I can only recommend them to all! Thank you Team!
We went in a group and booked a dozen of ATV in advance. They did not have enough automatic ones and hence we had to hire two manual ones. The sand dunes are great and big enough for wild ride. We enjoyed the ATV ride. Vehicles are not in great condition.

Absolutely my favorite nursery! Everything I buy there is of the best quality. Staff is helpful and personal and Ron is always right there for any question or to just chat. My daughter and I are frequent customers. Thank you all for being there and for being so kind!
Ron’s Nursery is “the best” plant / home decor local business I’ve ever been to and seen. We have followed and supported Ron’s for several years. When we travel south on the 101 and have an opportunity to stop in, this shop never disappoints! Ron and Peggy’s customer service has always been top notch! We shall always continue to support this wonderful shop!
2023 - New Location on Halcyon! Not quite as much selection as before; however, there are big plans for expansion. Go often - keep checking back 😜 Whenever we're in town we have to go to Ron's. We spent a lot of time there looking at everything. We always find something to take home too. Very friendly staff.
Great little nursery in Oceano. Lots of succulents and a great variety and selection of African violets. They also have a great little gift shop enjoyed browsing and picking up a couple of things for gifts. Will definitely revisit next visit here.
Beautiful, enchanting shop with a very wide selection of healthy-looking succulents and other plants. A lot of the arrangements they have for sale are very nice and well put together. Absolutely love the kitties that roam around. Also found this cute jumping spider among one of the arrangements (he seems to like living here as much as the plants do!). I'll definitely keep coming back.
Great little nursery and nick nack/home decor shop. They have indoor plants like African violets and outside plants that fit the climate here in Pismo Beach. Very nice people and answer your questions. Have a selection of decorative painted pots. As a side note they are moving to a new location in a around mid August they hope. You may have to look for them, their new location is 1.5 miles away. Believe it's new location is 969 S Halcyon in Red Building.
I love coming here. We try to come every time we are on the Central Coast, since E was 4, almost 11 now. We have cute pieces of furniture we have bought, candles and plants. Everyone is so welcoming, friendly and kind.
I loved Ron's Nursery! Very cute shop. The owner Ron, greeted us upon arrival and was very kind. He offered us cold beverages while we walked around. We talked to him and his wife, they seem like a very sweet couple and give off great small-business vibes. We were traveling from out of town for our anniversary weekend. I make my husband check out local nursery's wherever we go, and this was the first one he actually genuinely enjoyed. I found several unique succulents and a beautiful variegated pothos that came home with us. Highly recommended! Will go back next time we are in the area! Thank you Ron!

The owner was great and the food was delicious! My friend enjoyed the pulled pork sandwich and was so full from it that neither one of us could even think about starting on the delicious salad which we ate the next day. I had the mac and cheese with sauce tossed pulled pork. I am sure that it was enough for two but I was truly ravenous when I got it. I can't believe I ate the whole thing! It was so good and I was so stuffed that I ate nothing more until the next day. The pretzel was great after microwaving for thirty seconds and fresh and delicious the next night with beer. I highly recommend this place and I will go back to get the fish and shrimp combo for sure!
Had lunch at 3 Fat Guy"s Diner in the Mongo Sallon building ( same owner). Very good food and lots of it! Jessie, our waitress, was very fun and helpful. We will come back.
Great place, food and atmosphere!
Band South 65 was playing. Great music and food. Loaded fries with brisket mac and cheese and bacon with fries.
The food was great. The waitress was quick about getting our order. However we were shuffled around because a birthday party came in and took over the entire back area where we were. I love to come back and experience it again without being shuffled and skirted around. We absolutely will return and we'll order take out items as well. I highly recommend this place especially, especially for the food! Do not miss out on the appetizer / happy hour specials. Z's are worth the trip alone
3 Fat Guys restaurant was a terrible experience! It took over an hour for us to get our food. They have about only 20 tables, so you wouldn't think it so hard, but it was a busy Sunday morning. The real disappointment came when we got our food. A breakfast here is about $15, which we felt high, we thought maybe it's really good and large portions, but when we got our food it was very small portions. My wife's plate was not even what she ordered and it took them over 15 minutes for someone to bring back partially what she ordered and even after bringing this out 2 more times she never got what she ordered. I ordered French toast and got three small slices of thin sandwich bread as my French toast and again this was a $15 breakfast. The waitress was so embarrassed she asked the manager to come out and talk to us (she had only worked there 3 days but we really liked her, and we did not ask for the manager) and he was hardly apologetic and you could tell that he was upset, even blaming the waitress. A real manager owns what happened and takes care of the customer! This manager did not attempt either. A little while later another manager or owner came out and apologized and said our breakfast was free and he hoped that we would come back again. You could tell he also was not an experienced manager, nor did we feel his invitation to return seem very inviting. The quality of the breakfast may be compared to a Denny's breakfast yet they charge much more. To be fair we were there so long we saw lunch coming out and they seem to have very good looking, large hamburgers. So at least breakfast is not recommended by us at 3 fat guys.
Love this place even with all this covid-19 issues. Tom has made every effort to keep us happy on the outside. He has set up a great backboard that has I believe four TVs that he sets up in the tent outside he has brought in a heater that actually warms up a very large area. I have ordered the wings with my little Yorkie absolutely enjoys and I love them they're cooked perfection. Couldn't ask for better company great servers great bartenders and happy to be able to go there. Go there often each week and always happy.
Good safe and friendly place to go. Food continues to get better every time I order. Had office New Years Eve party there and they set up buffet style. Over 20 guest and all where very happy with quality, taste, service and value. Music was fun and though we had a large variety of personslities together there wasn't one complaint. The manager Tony is funny as can be and will make sure you hsve a good time.

I went here on my birthday at around 12pm and it only took 20 min max before I was in the plane and ready to go. The plane was small but it was an amazing experience regardless. Morro rock looked like a pebble from 13,000 ft! The instructor was great and explained the whole process along the way. I even got to jump a day earlier due to weather conditions which was very accommodating! I am definitely going back for another jump!
So many good things about this place! First off the staff is incredibly kind and welcoming. We were in morro bay on vacation for a week and tried to go sky diving during the week but the weather was super cloudy but the staff was trying to accommodate us the best they could and we ended up going out last day. It was my first time so just like any person I was so nervous but Lyle did a great job of making sure I was calm and made the mood totally relaxed the whole entire time till we landed! Now the location is beautiful! We couldn't clearly see the beach since the clouds were low but the view was still magnificent and I can't imagine how it would look on a clear day! So if you haven't ever been skydiving this place is incredible!
No second chance at a good first impression. My wonderful girlfriend planned a sky diving trip for my birthday at Skydive Pismo Beach. We arrived at a shady looking little shack with no parking lot, no restroom. As we entered this "office", there are 2 young ladies who also planned a sky diving trip from out of town. They had a "buy one get one free" coupon that clearly states it does not expire yet the manager would not honor the coupon nor would she contact her superior at the young ladies' request. When it came time for us to pay, we are being charged more than we were told over the phone. The manager stated that there is an extra fee per policy, yet could not provide the policy in writing, and would not contact the gentleman who helped us over the phone when we had asked for details and paid a deposit. We had just witnessed the extortion of two young ladies moments earlier, and now it was happening to us. Thanks to the manager the business lost out on making income from jumps and media packages. Instead of sharing beautiful memories with friends and relatives I'm sharing a horrific experience. Awful customer service!
Cool experience! Lots of waiting but worth it for the dive. If you get lucky and go on a clear day there is an amazing view of Pismo beach and the surrounding area. The instructor I dove with had jumped more than 5,000 times! They offer picture packages that are a must too. Felt safe and had a great time.
This was easily one of the best experiences of my life. I had never been skydiving before, but my sister took me for my birthday after she jumped with them a couple months before. I now understand her excitement - not only was it such a thrill, but the guys we jumped with were awesome, the pictures and video were amazing, and the view from 10K feet over the coast was phenomenal. It felt safe and they were super encouraging so that you could just focus on the fun of it all. I plan to skydive again with them soon! You guys are awesome!
We arrived to alittle shack in a grass field it's was really chill. but don't let that scare you off it doesn't matter what the building. We had tom an Christian as our jumpers they were great very knowledgeable they like to joke around with you to take your mind off the jump an Mike at the front desk was a good help with questions an easy to talk to an let us know what to expect. The weather kinda put us on a delay me an my buddy Brad jumped pretty fast but my sister in law an friend Tom had to wait for the fog to clear out. The plane was a tight fit but not like it mattered due to the fact we were jumping out it. All in all this was a great an very safe experience I definitely recommend them there really friendly an professional. I'll be back to jump the 13k 10k wasn't good enough for me
I bought a gift certificate for a friends birthday and prepaid the $50 deposit for my jump. Our appointment was canceled three separate times (twice for weather and once for logistical reasons). Their last email stated "We regret to inform you that due to unforeseen logistical issues that we will have to cancel your skydive. We are working hard to solve these issues but currently do not know how long this will take. We are refunding your deposit and please contact us to receive a full refund if you do not wish to wait until a future date to complete your jump. Again, our sincerest apologies for any disappointment or inconvenience this may cause. Sincerely, The SDPB Team." To this day I've left several messages and sent multiple emails and have not heard back from anyone. I'm not even sure they're in business. I have not received any refunds and I'm now out $250. Save yourself the trouble and don't use this company. Thank you Pismo Skydive. Class act!
Great experience! Jumped for my buddies birthday and we had a blast. My tandem partner explained everything from what to expect to ow to, and although its a small operation, all the bases were covered.

Love this place! Super affordable and very friendly. Great spot for beginners and fun for any other level too.
This is a GEM of an executive style, all par-3 golf course. It will steal your heart as it has mine since I was but a wee lad, but I am more than happy to have left it in the hands of such a deserving destination. The beautiful layout/design requires just enough skill to score well and to hold the interest of experienced players but it certainly isn't overwhelming or intimidating for the novice or even 1st time golfer, with the exception of hole number seven, which requires a 100 + yard carry over a large pond. For such a highly trafficked and well loved course, the condition is good. The only area of concern is that the greens are a bit on the bumpy side of the "bump-o-meter" spectrum, but this is more a reflection on the golfers' casual or even innocently ignorant attitude towards fixing ball marks than it is a actual course maintenance problem. For that reason I cannot deduct a star for this review... all said, my 5 star review is meant to give confidence that you won't be disappointed in the cost/quality ratio, and btw, the green fees are very reasonable. I am 57 and didn't quite meet the senior rate requirements, but it still only cost me an $18 greens fee for the twilight rate. Do yourself and any of your golfer friends a favor by making plans to play here the 1st opportunity you get to visit the Central Coast area of California. Happy golfing trails! 😎
This is a nice par 3 course. Great weather most of the time. Friendly staff. The prices are reasonable. I just wish they didn't charge full price on the electric golf carts for a second trip around the course. I will be back in August.
Very nice golf course wedding venue. Yes, I wasn’t there to play golf but to attend the wedding. So, I can’t talk about golfing experience there, but the tent they let us use for the reception was great! Plenty of space for all the guests. We had a outdoor wedding, which I suspect is most of the cases, and it was just perfect. The beach is quite close, and the venue let the bride and groom to use the gold carts to travel to and from the beach for the mini photo session at the beach before the ceremony. It isn’t a huge problem but their restroom in the club house is small (one person at a time), so they had two (men and women) porta potties outside the tent, but for the amount of guests there were it took a while for people to use it. Other than that, it’s a pretty good venue for events like that. Parking isn’t the biggest one I’ve seen, but it wasn’t nearly full, and I saw quite a few people parked along the street by the tent for easy access.
Super fun course to learn on or for a quick 9 hole round and follow it up at Finn's restaurant and catch an epic sunset!
Left my golf club at the course a few months ago and called to ask if they had it, they found it and said they could keep it for me until my next trip to the coast. Well I just called them to make sure they still had it and if I could come pick it up. The lady was extremely rude and not helpful. She laughed at me and said “you can come here and look for it but I don’t know what else to tell you” Hmm maybe ask me what brand and club it is for starters? It blows my mind that someone could be that rude for literally no reason. You can keep the club!!
Not sure why they offer electric golf carts other than for disabilities. There are no cart paths, so carts are driven all over, including right to the edge of greens. Course needs a lot of work: gopher/squirrel control
I'm a golf newb (i.e. I golf once or twice a year) so this course is perfect. It's cheap and low pressure. It's mostly par threes. The guy who works here is pretty sassy. Watch out for rattle snakes. We saw one nesting here a few years ago. Its easy to lose all your balls in holes seven and eight.

I had the pleasure of spending my last hour in Grover Beach before my train ride home at this cozy little tasting room with 2 of the nicest women (and an adorable dog!). I had a tasting and enjoyed every single wine, but was especially impressed with their delightfully dry rosé and zinfandel/syrah blend. The wine was excellent and so was the conversation and welcoming atmosphere. If you're visiting Grover Beach, I would highly recommend making this your first stop so that you can stock up on wines for your visit.
This is a bus station that offers wine tastings. The bathroom is absolutely disgusting.
This is my favorite place to drink, great knowledgable owners, adorable dog, and a homely atmosphere. Worth a try, you won't regret it!
We stopped in for a tasting and really enjoyed our visit. Joe was kind and easy to talk to, not to mention incredibly knowledgeable! We were very impressed with their wines and bought a few bottles to take home and enjoy later. Thank you Joe!
The wines were delicious 😋 and the wine maker catered to his consumers by playing the kinda music we would enjoy! we enjoyed our time at this tasting room, despite the noisy construction happening outside 😊
This is definitely a hidden gem. Its a very family oriented winery and is located in a very small building. The owner was there when me and my girlfriend came in for her birthday and for most of our tasting it was just us. He was super kind and showed us some cool tricks to impress customers at our jobs. On top of that the wine flights are very affordably priced. I would highly recommend people buy a bottle or two after your done. The owners dog is also always there and he's a sweetheart.
Super friendly and cute winery! All locally sourced grapes and turned into amazing wine! We really enjoyed put time and tasting. We bought 3 bottles: 2 of the Zin, and 1 of the She Said Red. Highly recommended!
We strolled in on a sunny Saturday afternoon and were totally delighted with our wine tasting experience. A new favorite for all of us. Joe and Cherie are amazing hosts, really fun to chat with and learn about the backstory of their wine business, and the tasting prices are seriously unbeatable. We bought a couple bottles of wine to take home to share, and we'll definitely return when we're in the area!

One of the best escape room locations! (And we’ve been to A LOTof them!) Our game master Cody was great! We were ambitious and did all three rooms in one day! 1985 is definitely my favorite but all three are so well done and you can tell a lot of thought went into putting the rooms together! 1985 room will be leaving :( but we will be back for whatever room takes its place!
The Locked Inn by far has the best escape rooms I have ever been to. The attention to detail, whimsy, and adventure is unmatched and the staff truly cares to make sure you enjoy yourself from start to finish! Shout out to The Almighty Ariel for making our son's birthday extra special, the added details of the happy birthday written on the sequin pillow and the birthday card in the final room were an unexpected plus. Ariel was spunky and enthusiastic, and very genuine. She was very helpful and brought great energy to the "Inn!" Her customer service was outstanding and she was incredibly friendly. We will definitely continue returning again and again. Before we even left, my son and his friends were already making plans to return and attempt the other 2 rooms!
This escape room was super fun. You can definitely see that there was a lot of effort and thought put into the making of the rooms and the puzzles. This keeps it super interesting and stimulates your mind. The staff was super nice, helpful, and led us in the right direction. Overall, I will be coming back again to try the other rooms to see what else they bring. I know there’s only a 5 star review but if I could give it a ten I would. By the way, Ariel is amazing, super funny and extremely helpful!
Absolutely Amazing! Came with students to bond and our department to have fun together. The kids loved the 80s room and we had a BLAST in the Pumpkin King Christmas Cabin! Both groups finished with only a short few minutes to spare! It was absolutely great! Definitely coming back to try another room
My work team went to The Locked Inn and did the 1985 room. It was a ton of fun and a great team building experience. Prices were very reasonable. Heather was super accommodating. The room theming was on point. Book this for your next work retreat.
me and my family did the Alice in Wonderland escape room. It was super great with well-made furniture and puzzles that made your brain think a lot. aerial our host was very fun and energetic, and helped us along the way whenever we were stuck and made the room have a very positive atmosphere. this is my second time going, and I’ll definitely be going again.
Time and time again, The Locked Inn keeps you entertained from check in to check out. We were immediately welcomed by our innkeeper Ariel, who explained the rules and got our stay underway. We booked the Alice Suite, and as soon as we got to our room and our adventure began, the frantic search for clues began, and even that was a challenge. No two puzzles were the same, and each clue you find leaves you shouting out to your group to see if it makes sense to anyone else. Try as we might, we had to as Ariel for clues more than once. Her clues added to the whimsy and fun of the room, leaving you still feeling accomplished because she didn't just give you the answer. Everything about our stay was amazing and I can't wait to come back to try another Room! My only suggestion would be to fix your elevator. We had two teens clutching each other for dear life by the time we reached our floor. Also, do you happen to have a camera in there? I would LOVE a video of it.
Oh my gosh we had so much fun! It was our first time and we didn’t know what to expect. It was much appreciated that they dropped subtle but still helpful hints without giving it away. The room was designed so well and it was honestly such a great time that we have decided to make escape rooms our new hobby. They were incredible and flexible with us. Thanks for the awesome experience!

Good selection but quite pricey. The owner is very friendly and helpful. We couldn't get there until nearly closing time but she was more than happy to stay until we were finished. Even if you're a bit shy she helps you to feel more comfortable and even assists you like a personal shopper.

"Such a wonderful experience at Mayfollower Spa and Massage! The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the massage was one of the best I've ever had. The atmosphere was calm and soothing, making it the perfect escape. Highly recommend this place to anyone in need of relaxation and great service!"
Did a couples massage, unfortunately worst massages we’ve had. More like rubbing lotion on for 90 minutes rather than massaging. Masseuse left several times to answer the phone/door. Was left uncovered and cold because the sheet couldn’t cover much. At the end they weren’t happy with their tip and made it very uncomfortable. 1/10 experience, wouldn’t recommend.
Amazing massage by XiXi so professional & caring. Super soft hands with the right amount of pressure. Will stop by again next week for legs after cycling! 🥰
Mary has the most healing hands and generous spirit. I highly recommend! I will definitely be back for more amazing relaxation. Makes facing another long week on my feet seem easy. After reading the other reviews, I think I should share that this was not the American therapeutic massage you would typically get but rather far more relaxing with a different training.
I agree 100% with Anita. Have to give one star otherwise zero. There is NO WAY my "therapist" has a massage license. Also, #1 the prices on their sheet inside and the one on the door are different. #2 No one speaks a word of English and doesn't understand the common massage words they should know #3 the two therapists talked the entire time we were getting our massages. We got the 1 hour foot. It was 45 minutes and they said OK smiling. Done. We asked back? And then pointed. They lowered the bed and had us put our faces on the plastic hole, nothing around it. My gal got up three times to help a customer, to get the hot towel (8 minutes) and to do god knows what the third time. My friends was good but she will never be back due to the talking.
Worst massage I've ever had... First of all I've never been asked to strip down naked and just lay there on the table without the sheet or anything over me. It felt like all she was doing this by being in the oil she was putting on my body. I had to ask her for more pressure but she didn't speak English so she didn't know what I was talking about. I have been having massages for 20 years and I can safely say this is the worst massage I've ever had in my life! It was very uncomfortable just laying there naked with nothing on you, that is my fault I should have gotten up and walked out but I just kept thinking it would get better. It really was more of a sponge bath than a massage she put the oil on and then went and got hot wash rags and wipes it all off then she took a really rough towel to dry it off. When it came time to pay all she kept saying tip tip tip. Then she handed me a receipt and had circled in red the line to add a tip and she kept pointing to it with her finger, saying tip tip tip you give! I will never go here again I do not recommend it. And it's weird to me that when you walk in there is a sign that has the letters in black sex with a red circle and red line through it. From what I experienced and how uncomfortable it was I seriously do believe that this is a massage parlor fronting a sex selling business. The woman who did my massage had no experience or technique in massage at all.
This is an Asian massage, not what is taught in American massage schools. The ladies were amazing and very gracious. My hour massage was exactly 1 hour, they did not charge for the setup time. They took special care of us because we were husband/wife and we got to get our massages together in the same room. Highly recommend!
The sweetest ladies provide the services here. There is a bit of a language/cultural barrier so please be mindful and understanding of that. They do speak Mandarin, so just whip out your phone and translate, it's an easy fix. Yes, the massage is very..personal. yes, the towels are...small. but I was able to talk with the workers, and they are so so nice and heartwarming. The workers I talked with were very knowledgeable on Chinese medicinal methods. I have a lot of pain issues. And two days after my massage my muscles finally relaxed. I plan on making this spa my monthly go to .
