We went kayaking and paddle boarding at Blue Lake Park yesterday (last Monday in June). The water was warm and many people were swimming on the roped off and sandy swim beach. There were only a handful of people paddle boarding and floating around with us and sometimes it felt like we had the whole lake to ourselves!
First time I have been here. Very large park with plenty of tables for lots of families. The bathrooms are clean, the grounds are nice. There is a few playgrounds that are nice. Looks like you can rent some canoes to row around in the water. I, myself, did not. I prefer land.
Beautiful park. Perfect for birthday parties or other event. It is usually crowded nevertheless there is still a lot of space. Good place to take kids or just yourself fishing. There is a very nice fishing pier. There are two enterances there left and right of the pier. It also stretches out for a good distance and has few covered areas. Some picnic areas have fish cleaning stations. Plenty of playgrounds and a water playground. You do have to pay to get in
Drive from Beaverton took about an hour. Parking is $5. They have a cute splash pad and plenty of shaded area. The kids loved it. The only complaint was the constant high pitch screaming from the little kids enjoying themselves (gave me a headache). I'm glad they were having fun. I just couldn't hang too much longer after a few hours of that.
This is an awesome park. 64 Acres of fun. The water also stays pretty darn warm. Docks that extend about 100 feet out into the lake. You can swim pretty much anywhere along the water line that stretches about 500 yards. More parking than you know what to do with
The family and I have been going here over 60 years,Alot has changed, like everything in the world. The grounds are clean. The Swimming area is Completely Gone, they have replaced it with a wrap around dock that people fish from. They used to have a Huge Metal Talking Pig that was a Trash receptacle and every time you put trash in it would talk! It was pretty cool and encouraged kids and adults to throw away your trash instead of leaving it lie around like lots do unfortunately. The wood xylophone is broken and has been for awhile so not sure if the park is maintained much as far as those things.
Lovely place with big open fields perfect for dogs but dogs aren't even allowed on leash sadly. Google maps gave me the wrong entry which led to me not realizing there's a fee.
I really enjoy going paddle boarding here! The lake is always really clean, and you can see Mt Hood so clearly! I feel like this is an underestimated little hidden gem. I would highly recommend it!

Lots of walking paths either by ponds or through woods. Pots potty. Dog friendly, use lease and bring poo bogs, garbage bins available, fishing, and wildlife.
There's plenty of parking on Glisan, enter the apartment complex & immediately turn left. Google maps indicates an entry off Fairhaven Parkway but that doesn't appear to have any parking. It's a pleasant spot for a short walk.
Had to park in a gated area which meant if I went during the wrong time I would have to drive around the area to find another spot to enter the trails to the pond. It was cold due to the wind maybe coming off the Columbia River. Nobody was catching fish. Heard from a bank fisherman who was fishing with two poles, nightcrawlers and floating bait, that in the spring it's people everywhere. Photos show the entire pond.
Love to go and fish here, all ages are there. I haven’t seen anyone get out of hand either. You can just walk or even sit in the peace. Personally for me I just wish they would restock the ponds.
The wall around the pond is peaceful and soothing. Only saw ducks but it seems like they are used to ppl feeding them as they drew near when we were on the dock. People walking their dogs so it seems like a good place to bring your pet as long as they don't like to chase the birds. It was really cold so we didn't spend much time out there but I imagine e the people living at the apartments must enjoy having this trail soo close. I would definitely enjoy come again. The parking is to the left when entering the entrance to the apartments.
2 nice size lakes. A good walking path that is flat not hilly. Great for walking dogs. If you like fishing there are plenty of spots for that. A nice reserve in the city that feels country like.
Super confusing to find - you have to go through some apartment complex nearby. Drove all around it with no clear entrance. There are parking spots designated for people going to the pond / park. Cute ! lots of ducks and dragon flies. Nice trails not too steep or anything. Has a small dock for fishing
Excellent path to see ducks, geese, and CAREFULLY let your little one roam free!

Applied on their website for an auto loan, which was simple to do. FCCU was able to offer me a better rate than the dealership. I worked with Angela for all the paperwork and what not, and she made things easy and was very responsive and great to work with. Would highly recommend checking this place out!
This branch is awesome they actually know who I am. Micah the branch manager actually answers his phone and answers my questions. I love being treated as a person not just a number! The interest rates are the best I can find.
Kailyn and Angela worked together to get me taken care of. They were friendly, courteous, and helpful. My questions and transactions were answered quickly and professionally. Thank you Kailyn and Angela for your efficient kindness.
Most financial institutions have similar programs that they can offer their customers but each institution has its own set of employees and that is where First Community Credit Union shines. These are the nicest professionals you’d ever want to deal with. That also says something about management because any manager can hire people but not every manager can hire great people and keep them. Everyone here has a sense of humor and a great attitude about wanting to help you do the things that you came there to accomplish. I recommend this credit union to anybody and everybody.
Had an excellent experience getting an auto loan and checking account opened. Angela provided top tier service.
Made us wait for a auto loan check, after waiting 15 minutes we were informed that the person that could help us was getting coffee. As we were waiting wife asked to use restroom but they refused and told her she could walk to Target and use their restroom. Pretty bad customer service.
I've been a member of FCCU since 1995, and would never go back to a dealing with a commercial bank. They have some of the best loan interest rates available and the people at the Gresham branch have always been great to work with and very helpful. Their website and available on-line banking is very easy to use as well.
I’ve always been very happy with the service I’ve received at First Community Credit Union, that is until today. I can shop anywhere as long as I wear my mask due to Covid 19 concerns. However, an appointment is needed to enter the lobby of the CU. This is ridiculous and inconvenient to say the least. When I checked the hours online this was not shown unless I scrolled down on my phone. Then once I was allowed inside only to discover they could not process my stimulus “card” for a deposit or cash. I’m now sadly considering switching to another credit union due this fiasco.

This local dive joint has everything you need for a casual weekend morning, sporting entertainment or a lively weekend hang. The food and drinks are great, service is always nice and welcoming and the sports betting keeps it entertaining whether you’re people watching or participating. We love this place!
Love to chill at this place! Cozy atmosphere where you get well taken care of. Brittany is one of the bartenders who has made me the best drinks lately (see pictures)! So tasty! Strawberry lemon drop and reese’s cup hot coco.
Very very nice establishment... Great place to watch a football game of your favorite team on Saturday and Sunday!! I didn't have a chance to even see if minor's are allowed in there at all. Like during certain days and times. Anyway definitely recommend going to this place. You won't be one bit disappointed.
I can't fairly rate some aspects. It was Kentucky. Derby day. It was jam packed and they were really really busy. Staff was great and cheerful, people were happy all around. The place looked nice.
Ok, so this is our new neighborhood bar, they have delicious Greek gyros, great burgers, yummy fries, and some of the best onion rings I have had in years. Also for some of the best prices in the PDX. Service is great, they have karaoke on Monday nights, and so far we have always gotten a seat. Oh and their ranch is spot on.
Alek's is an absolute gem of a restaurant that I stumbled upon recently, and I cannot recommend it enough. The star of the show here are the smoked wings, which are out of this world delicious and truly unlike anything else I've ever tasted. The flavors are perfectly balanced, and the meat just falls off the bone. If you're a fan of wings, you simply must try Alek's smoked wings! But it's not just the food that makes Alek's a standout establishment. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, which really helps to create a warm and inviting atmosphere. Whether you're a regular or a first-time visitor, you'll feel right at home here. And speaking of feeling at home, the drinks at Alek's are also fantastic. They have a great selection of beers, cocktails, and wines, so there's something for everyone. Whether you're looking for a refreshing beer to pair with your wings, or a handcrafted cocktail to sip on while you catch up with friends, you won't be disappointed. All in all, I highly recommend Alek's for anyone looking for a great meal, friendly staff, and delicious drinks. This place is a real gem, and I can't wait to come back and try more of their menu!
I love this place but lately the cigar smoking is causing me to want to puke! I can deal with cigarette smell just fine. But when there's 4 old men puffing on their cigars it makes me sick! 🤮 I'm thinking of going elsewhere. This review is from a bunch of regulars!
This is really fun place the food is outstanding the bartenders mix the best drinks I go here play the video poker there poker machine's seem to pay out more than anywhere and there bigger payouts my brother wagers on the dogs and horses they have all the best horses racing tracks and they have the Oregon lottery you can buy scratches and play power bsll mega bucks keno and win for life the people's that hangout are very nice never any drama just when some one hits the jackpot on a video poker or a big win on horses bet or a dog bet the owner is super great person he runs the place great make sure to tip your bartenders bring your friends and family have your birthday party and celebration

Taco Tuesday Extravaganza Indulging in Taco Tuesday was an absolute delight. I found myself savoring not just two, but perhaps nine of these delectable creations. The culinary experience was exceptional. The bartenders, with their impeccable service and warm demeanor, truly elevated the evening. The ambiance, reminiscent of a classic stagecoach setting, added a unique charm to the night.
The wife LOVED her bacon/mushroom burger and loved it. I had their top sirloin steak. Being a rib-eye lover, I was a little disappointed to have to settle for the top sirloin. That is until the 1st bite. It was the most favorable, melt in your mouth steak I have had on a night out. Price, flavor, tenderness.....you will NOT regret it.
The food here was great. My friends and I went here for dinner, and got the 8oz sirloin steak meal. It was a little tougher than you'd like a steak to be but it did taste really good, so I was happy. The loaded mashed potatoes and garlic bread was great as well with it. We then went here again in the morning for breakfast and that's where it really shined. The bacon and eggs with country potatoes were delicious! My only complaint is that it's a very country/western themed place which is pretty obvious on the outside. I'm just not into that at all, but I won't doc them for that as it's my own personal preference. Worth a visit if you're looking for a decent place to eat and I suppose get drinks too if that's your thing!
Oh man, this is the best hole in the wall bar in the area hands down. The waitress was ON POINT, the drinks were great, and CHEAP. But I'm getting ahead of myself. I had the western bacon cheeseburger, it was much larger than I expected, and came with the perfect amount of fries. The fries were crinkle cut, and came out a bit under salted, but that's probably a preference thing and was easily remedied. The burger was juicy and thick, the bun was amazing(I think it was potato bread, but not sure). All in all, we got 2 mixed drinks and 2 burgers both with fries and only spent $35(before tip). Well worth the stop if you are in the area.
Went here for Karaoke on a Friday night with friends recently for the very first time. This place rocks! Friendly locals, great KJ Bryan E., fish and chips didn’t disappoint. We also found out that KJ Bryan is available for hire before the 8ish to whenever time for Karaoke, since there was a private party there from 6-8ish. This place is an awesome getaway from Portland. Down to earth & fun!!!
They try to have a country bar in a crazy part of Portland, and do a pretty dang good job. No pool table, no shuffle board, and no dart boards. 6 video poker machines... Staff is friendly, considering the area they're in. Julie & Gauge were awesome!!
Burgers are pretty damn good for bar food. Especially the Baco-licious and Double-Double burgers. Tap list is alright. The highlight of this place was definitely the friendly staff. Shay remembered my name and what beer I had after only the second time I came in! Never had a bad bartender, they were all great.
I highly recommend the Stagecoach. They have great nightly food specials and the food is always so good! If you need a place to have a birthday party this is your place. We had my son's there last week and it was perfect! Teresa, the new owner, went out of her way to accommodate us. She was there for the party and made sure everyone was comfortable and taken care of. We had a blast! Thank you so much!
