Been coming here since I was a kid. Parks need to be updated and there isn't as much play equipment for kids as there used to be. However, there is a nice little beach, boat launch, and picnic area as well as flush bathrooms and showers. Kayaks and life jackets for day use can be found by the beach toilets, as well as a paddle board. Lots of little fishing areas and hiking trails, as well as multiple lakes. Picked quite a few blackberries and Raspberries as well! Still love it here!
Loved this SP! Stayed here in the spring and the lake was beautiful. Walking and hiking trails were well maintained, and the DNR staff were very friendly.
Awesome campground, big enough sites that you're not on top of each other. Lake Fortune was lovely. Bathrooms were clean and showers are available. We like it so much we're going back this weekend.
Nice lake, very peaceful environment with nice staff. Cool trail to a very nice island with a nice bridge, could see all different kinds of fish from the bridge. I can imagine many people enjoy fishing here because I saw three fishings boats. Note that there may be mud on some of the trails if it recently rained
First time camping with my kids in a tent and the first experience was amazing the place is quite (minus the weekends) and most are so friendly. If you don't like crowds I highly recommend coming during the week and please adults with little kids please don't let them wonder off alone anything can still happen to those babies. My only other issue was some people thought it was still ok to drive the wrong way when there are signs that literally tell you what way to go throughout the campground which could be dangerous for little kids walking around not paying attention. As far as the staff I give them 10 stars and will be back with my family.
We visited Bewabic State Park one night on our way RVing thru the U.P. We had a spacious and shady site near the bathrooms and fresh water. The trails were winding, but we really enjoyed them, along with our dogs. The fall colors were really stunning in the area.
This is an absolutely beautiful, clean state park. My family and I really enjoyed camping here. The sites are very private and the campground is pretty quiet. Loved it! We will definitely be coming here again.
Very nice. The spots for the most part are very good sized, there are a lot of drive through. Most of the lots are very private, you are not right on top of each other. The bathrooms and the showers are nice also. The bathrooms by C loop are the better of the two. They also have three vaulted toilets that are centrally located in each loop. There are three loops A loop,B loop, and C loop. B loop and C loop are the bigger ones. They have a nice boat launch, great for fishing with four small lakes connected to each other. The beach is very nice also.

I have been going to this unique and amazing craft store for over 30 years and it STILL does not disappoint! Very friendly and welcoming staff, so many gorgeous crafts, not an inch in this shop does not display something! I could spend hours in this great store called WINKS WOODS. ♥️👌
Always awesome stopping by Winks Woods in Crystal Falls, MI. We live downstate and every time we are up here visiting we stop by. JEN is great always a smile and very friendly to all of us!!!!
This store has some amazingly unique Michigan made items! While we were there a local vender literally dropped off more items. Also our car needed a jump and the sweet shop offered their car and jumper cables and even let us take the jumper cables with us just in case!! Stop here and support local it is a very awesome shop!
Was more than I was expecting, but priced way less than you would think. There is so much stuff inside the store, when you first walk in, it can be a bit overwhelming. But, you quickly notice that the store itself is divided into sections, holidays here, camping three, cabin there, etc. Every shelf is filled with stuff, wall, ceiling rafters, just stuff everywhere. Neat and presentable, of course. But, what really shocked us, were the prices. This is more of a specialty shop, not anywhere close to another shop like it, so you would expect the products to be higher priced, but you would be wrong. I actually feel that they are a bit underpriced for what you get, but that just adds to the stores appeal. A very dangerous store, where you can rack up a big bill, but get a ton of stuff. Or a few small things for basically pocket change.
I absolutely love coming here they are great stuff and amazing staff
HUGE variety of unique items. Love this place
Great little shop. Friendly staff.
This shop is amazing! I could have spent hours in there. Great selection of Made in MI decor. Christmas was fully on display and very nicely done! Loved that the children's books were signed by the authors. My next trip to the UP will have me stopping there. It's great to find such cute places as you travel!

Visited our son in Crystal Falls. Came to the show "that 80's music ...awesome.show. Best ever! Will come.again!
Seating was a disaster, none of our tickets purchased together were actually in the same section.
This was my first visit but won't be the last. The theatre is beautifully restored and well worth the hour drive.
So fun! The Verve Pipe was amazing!
We thoroughly enjoyed the concert that we heard at the Crystal Theatre. Certainly the performers (Tim Zimmerman and the King's Brass) were the biggest part of the event. But the venue was certainly impressive as well. I've always thought Crystal Falls was a very beautiful town in the wilderness. This venue seems like a gem in the middle of a beautiful wooded wilderness. I was told (and also read on their website) that the Crystal Theatre seats over 500. Although, I believe this to be true, the setting certainly feels more intimate than that. As I listed to the concert, I thought about the room. It seems no larger to me my than church building which seats about 100. Apparently, that's wrong. The group used the Moller Theatre Organ and the Model D Steinway and Sons piano. Both were amazing. The lead performer (Tim Zimmerman) commented that the building must have been designed by a brass player because the acoustics were outstanding for his brass group.
My husband and I just saw Kelly Jackson and band last night. What a class act!!!! We are never disappointed with the amazing talent the Crystal Theater 🎭 brings in to our community!!! Thank you Crystal Theater 🎭!!! Dr. Bonnie L. and Mr. Earl U. Koski
There is always something good happening at the Crystal Theater. My wife and I went last Sunday to see Grammy Award winner Judy Collins in concert. The place was sold out! If you have never been to the Crystal Theater, we'll you are in for a treat. This place has been around since the 1920's. Probably seats about 2,000 people. The town did a great job restoring this gem. If you ever get to Crystal Falls, Michigan, drop on in and see one of the many top notch artist who perform there. You will not be disappointed!
Amazing Historical Theatre. Must see.

I had a great time fishing on my kayak here today!
Not for the civilized Stayed here for 6 days in their “rustic” trailers (single wide) to hunt grouse. They are a dump. Full of black mold, mice, rot, duct tape patches, and trailer life experience. You can’t lock the front door, the bathroom door doesn’t close, and the bedrooms don’t have doors. No internet. Food at the bar will be served with a side of “worn the same hoodie for 6 days” grit. It is cheap however. The only plus side. I stayed at nicer spots in Iraq. They need to update, clean, and provide a little safety.
It's not fancy, but the people are friendly, the food is good, and the memories are priceless!
We stopped and had awesome double deluxe cheeseburgers. Great food great service.
My friend took me where he grew up and his brother took us here. Rode In a side by side for the time and it was epic. The burger was delicious. Definitely can't wait to go back!!
Best burgers in the UP! This place is a hidden gem. We go once a year or so and it’s worth the trip. I can’t speak to the resort itself because we haven’t stayed there, but the restaurant is legit! Don’t go in a rush, but with time to enjoy pac-man and the june box. It does not disappoint!
Simply the best, truest "U.P experience"! It's like stepping back in time to a simpler life. You'll feel like John Candy on the Great outdoors. Way Dam is one of the best bodies of water on the planet in my personal opinion. Sandy beaches, hidden coves and amazing scenery. Just be careful on the water. It's a reservoir and the water goes up and down changing the depth of the water. Be cautious and always expect the water to suddenly be only a couple feet deep. Even if your way out in the middle of the big water. Ample camping surrounding the body of water and Way Dam Resort is THEE home base for the entire area. Make a reservation today. You WONT regret it!!!!!
Quiet lovely cabin & RV resort. Pretty good fishing. Rock Bass and small mouth on demand along with Pike. Caught a bluegill the size of a football but that was only 1 all week between the six of us. Same with 1 perch keeper I had too. Walleye are there if you fish deep enough. Cabins are adequate but old, beds not that comfy. Bring your own towels/soap/napkins etc. Their is a nearby bait/trading store. No WiFi or cell service with Verizon. Bar is small, quaint and serves just a few food items but breakfast too!

LOVE this area because it's close to my parent's camp and LOVE the location!! 💖💖
Looks good . Beautiful in stretches. Canoe , kayak , Float , good access. But , RELATIVELY lackluster fishing . Sections have fish. Many parts are STERILE for miles producing only the occasional Sm. Mouth bass.
Such a beautiful scenic place. Good for fishing too
Great place to fish relax. Highly recommend seeing

Good food every time I went there great atmosphere!
