Excellent selection of award-winning wines. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating on the veranda or at picnic tables with good sunshades and a beautiful view of the vineyard, lake and hills. Kid-friendly! Our daughter enjoyed a mountain of delicious crusty French bread and herbed olive oil for dipping with her soda. Plenty left to take home with our two purchased bottles.
A hidden gem! We had a lovely time at Pollak this past week. We loved their reds and the quiet setting. The staff who helped us were also very helpful. We’ll definitely visit again when we visit Charlottesville.
Wonderful award-winning wines, amazing pairings, great service, gorgeous views!
Superb service, the woman at the counter was knowledgeable and friendly. Lovely view of the lake and of course, good wine. Can't ask much more than that!
This is added to the MUST VISIT list. The wines are fantastic and the house and property are amazing. Great staff. Highly recommended!!
We totally enjoyed the white & red flights. The view of vines with the backdrop of mountains is pretty incredible! We have heard much about this winery & are very glad to have come by! We will be putting this on our repeat list!
Amazing setting and very good wines. The facility is situated in a very picturesque knoll with vistas to the mountains as well as the vineyards and on property lake. Unfortunately we visited during the ice/snow storm so views were not at their best. They have installed gas infrared heaters on the patios so you can still enjoy the wines outside. The wines were very good with some being exceptional. Whites generally good to very good. The Cab and Petit Verdot were very good. Merlot was good with a very spicy finish. The Rose and Meritage were OUTSTANDING. These two wines are at least on par (if not better) than many California wines. Of note is the fact that the flight pours are generous so that you can both taste and enjoy the wines. Will definitely be back during warmer weather.
Beautiful vineyard! The mountains all over, nice pond. Great aesthetic at this place. This was our first visit to this winery, and we will definitely go back.

Very helpful staff/owner. Interesting place with quality items. Definitely would recommend visiting while in the Wintergreen area.
Beautifully organized antique shop with lots of gorgeous pieces that would appeal to someone decorating a modern farmhouse as well as some locally made items. I was excited to find a piece of mid-century Viking glass! I will check back again soon!
More of a gourmet store than country store. Don't let the outside appearance fool you. Lits of wines to choose from inside.
We loved this store! The store is two stories of visually stimulating eclectic items. Throughout the store, you will find a large variety of things to purchase. Some are old, and some are new. Items for sale are made from a plethora of materials, which include: fabrics, paper goods, ceramics, wooden items, woven baskets, canvas, metals, and glass. There are scented candles and sachets throughout the store, which enhance the already pleasing shopping experience, with delightful aromas. The sales staff are cheerful and helpful without being intrusive. We will definitely return to Greenwood Antiques. I highly recommend this location to anyone who enjoys meandering through a store and allowing it time to introduce itself to you. I think you will enjoy your time here. We did! 🙂
No public restrooms. We drove all the way from Massanutten to visit this antique mall. It should be illegal to be this far off the beaten path and not have reasonable restroom accommodations for potential customers. After covid, too many businesses refuse to allow paying customers to relieve themselves, and this is a problem for those individuals with medical conditions, some senior citizens, some pregnant mothers, among other things. The place was nicely organized and appointed.
Nice tidy antique store. I wish they had more antique items, lots of accessories that are not old. Window for Christmas was wonderfully done!
A fun place to roam around; eclectic finds and great treasures!
Great place, and the picture doesn't do it justice, lol. However, i got a wonderful deal on my fiances engagement ring, and it was a set. The lady that i talked to was very helpful.

What a hidden gem! We visited Septenary close to closing on Sunday. We apologized for walking in 30 min prior to closing, and the staff and owners could not have been more genuinely kind and welcoming. We did not feel like an imposition at all. When they said "Take your time.", they meant it. The ambiance was delightful. The tasting room is lovely and the outdoor setting is gorgeous. The old trees and mature landscaping on the property is stunning, and you can't beat having a good glass of wine while looking at the mountains and sitting by the pool. I did a white flight and thoroughly enjoyed the flight. They have quite a variety to choose from. My boyfriend got a bottle of red and is usually hard to please but gave good reviews as well. I came home with a bottle of sparkling chardonnay which is fantastic! 5 stars all the way around, we will definitely be back!
This is such a beautiful place, the wines are very good, and the staff are so personable. I loved my experience.
One of our favorite wineries in the region. Beautiful scenery with a casual vibe and fantastic wine. Don’t sleep on the Summer Kitchen Rosé!
This place was recommended to us by locals we met on the trail and it did not disappoint! It was so relaxing, and the space was stunning. We had a view of the mountains and enjoyed the tasting. The tasting is pay by the pour, which made it very easy to choose what you like and didn’t. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly, and I would definitely come back!
Beautiful views and the grounds were gorgeous. The off-putting experience, however, was one of the workers (short white hair) who didn't want anyone using any of the restrooms inside the tasting rooms (there is one upstairs and downstairs). Either keep the door closed upstairs or don't encourage people to go upstairs to "look at the art." He seemed overwhelmed with pouring wine and his demeanor ruined the vibe. And this was after someone from our party was purchasing a bottle of wine from him 🤦🏻‍♀️. Not a great way to treat patrons. Also, snacks didn't look that appetizing - mainly packaged and processed items.
Septenary offers a very different experience than a lot of the other local wineries. First off, it's a 21 and older only venue so no kids. Second, the service here has a white glove touch - bottles/pours are brought to your table and the personal service is fantastic! Third, every wine on offer is a banger. It's honestly hard to choose a favorite but we're torn between the Manor House 2016 and the Coleman 2016.
The BEST winery in VA!!! BEST wine and BEST for wedding. We had our wedding here. The owner is super nice and helpful. We did not have a wedding planner, but learned everything from the owner. She is just so thoughtful and sweet. They have several very beautiful places for the ceremony. Very nice room for the bride and groom. The wine is incredible. Amazing team. All of our guests had a wonderful time here. We could not have such a perfect wedding without Septenary!!! We bought their yearly membership after the wedding. The member card can also be a great gift for close friends. I would definitely recommend Septenary for wedding, amazing wine, gathering with friends!
Excellent winery! Gorgeous views, very welcoming host, and incredible wine selection. Hope to return!

The Virginia Department of Transportation Workers’ Memorial and Scenic overlook is a nice place to stop. The monument is a sobering reminder of the workers that have lost their lives on the job. The area is well maintained and decorated and the views are spectacular.
Amazing view, second pull off heading in to Virginia, was so glad they had a second scenic pull off because we missed the first one! Great place to pull off and take a breather. And enjoy the view!
Amazing spot! I always stop here when passing by. It makes you wonder how beautiful and amazing this country is, and also reminds us with those VDOT workers that sacrifices their lives to make us safe every day! Thank you VDOT for the scenic spot and for your services. Restrooms would be a brilliantly addition to this spot.
Beautiful memorial. The scene is very pretty, and this is a nice place to stop when on a road trip.
Sad to see, but an absolute beautiful memorial♡ Also, incredible views of the mountains
Great view from down below the mountains, with only a few other cars. It is nice to see a memorial to the fallen highway workers, but a list of names of those who lost their lives, especially to idiotic drivers, was not present.
Pull off on Route 64 in VA. A lot of parking, great view .
Just simply beautiful and peaceful.
