Beautiful park! We really enjoyed visiting Dogwood Canyon. The property is very well maintained. We liked the trails and the history inside the buildings. The kids loved the treehouse. We were wanting to go on the tram tour but unfortunately we arrived too late and they were sold out. So make sure you get tickets early if that is something you are wanting to do. I recommend coming here to spend a day outdoors exploring nature.
OMG what an awesome place! Spent the whole day there. Every staff member was so welcoming, friendly and informative. The whole place is just beautiful. Johnny Morris did a great job with his vision and design. Took the 2 hour tram tour. Well worth it! Lunch in the dining room was very good! Museums and gift shops were great. We’d go back again in different seasons to experience its wonder again!
Wow! This was our first time at Dogwood Canyon and we had an incredible time! We took the tram tour in the morning- the waterfalls and wildlife were incredible! I honestly didn’t expect to be so up close to the bison and elk, it was an amazing experience! Our host Debbee was a lot of fun and very kind! We also went on the one hour horseback tour in the afternoon which I would highly recommend! This was our first time ever going and the guides were all extremely helpful, especially Stephanie! I was super nervous, but excited, and they take care to set you up with the right horse for your experience level. Special shoutout to Ghost for being patient with this newbie!
This is the most beautiful place to be for all of the seasons. I try to go once a year, if not more. The staff here is always so helpful and make you feel like you're family. The restaurant has wonderful food (bison burger is my go-to). The park is so clean and very well maintained. The environment is quiet, safe and calming to be in nature. Definitely make it a point on the map to come visit. Horseback riding & tram rides are highly recommended!
Gorgeous little park that is perfect for an afternoon stroll or bike ride through the best fall foliage. Rent cute little bikes if you don’t have your own! Cute little patio where you can grab a glass of wine and some bites after exploring. Lots of areas to sit and have a picnic with your own food and drink if you want! You have to pay an entrance fee, but it’s worth it!
My family and I visited the park today for my birthday and it was amazing!! The park was beautiful with all kinds of photo ops. All the buildings are full of cool animal scenes and lots of historical items. We went on the tram ride and loved seeing all the waterfalls, fish and the best of all were the elk, bison and longhorns! There were several bison babies and getting to see the white bison was so cool! 😎 Larry our guide was so fun and full of lots of information about the park and animals! Well worth the money and the drive to see the wildlife up close!
Dogwood Canyon was a wonderful experience. We went on Nov 4 and the fall color & scenery were fantastic. We took the tram ride (we're not hikers!). Our driver was very informative about the history and the animals. An all around great experience and I would like to go back in the Spring for all new scenery!
We had an unforgettable experience at Dogwood Canyon. The chapel, waterfalls, and trails are absolutely breathtaking. During our visit, a sudden thunderstorm rolled in, but the staff was quick to respond and guided everyone to safe shelter areas. Their attentiveness and care ensured that families, including ours, felt safe and comfortable. Truly a memorable visit!

So much fun!! What a beautiful farm and the blueberries 🫐 are delicious 😋 we're headed back for their largest variety ripe for picking. Looks like early-mid June is the sweet spot and we'll be coming back next year! They also have blackberries & shitake mushrooms. Grab a bucket and start pickin', you'll be addicted too 😁
We've always greatly enjoyed our trips to Persimmon Hill. We would always stop by after picking up the kids from summer camp, since the early 2000s, to enjoy those delicious thunder muffins! We recently stopped in to grab a couple muffins and get a box of blueberries. I highly recommend trying all the things and especially the blueberry cinnamon rolls. They are amazing! 😍
What a great surprise! After many years of dropping my kid off at camp nearby, I finally decided to check this place out. I was expecting a kind of rinky dink little operation, but wow was I wrong. They really have their act together there. Whether you want to pick your own blueberries or buy one of their cobblers or blueberry cinnamon rolls (yes, blueberry cinnamon rolls) and comfortably eat it in their air conditioned dining room, it's all wonderful and truly top notch!
Blueberry picking for next 6 weeks! Plus fresh berries and various blueberry inspired jams, desserts, etc. to buy.
Bakery- The best blueberry muffins I’ve ever had!! Scones were equally impressive. If you get there and they’re out of items, wait 15 minutes and supply becomes available. Coffee is very good. Berry picking was going to start soon. The fields looked well maintained and easily accessible.
What's up my peeps! Time for another Today's Best! So let's it right to it shall we. Go pick some blueberries today! The season is ready and ripe. Have fun with friends and enjoy a homemade blueberry scone the size of your head. You will love it guaranteed.
Very well run and a wonderful experience for young children and adults! We picked so many blueberries and enjoyed the frozen drinks at the end. We’ll be back next summer!
What a charming place for all ages! We picked 2.5 pounds of blueberries in an hour and had so much fun. Such a treat to unplug and just enjoy each other’s company. Employees were so friendly and helpful, and if I may recommend the gigantic Thunder muffins, I strongly do! We got six and ate them in 12 hours
