Absolutely loved this vineyard. Not only is the wine great, but the service is wonderful. We did a tasting and I wish I remembered her name but she was extremely friendly and super knowledgeable about the the wine process and gave us a traditional tasting experience that I feel many vineyards don’t do anymore. We left extremely happy! It wasn’t super crowded so we just showed up. There was plenty of seating inside and outside.
This is a full up estate winery and they raise/process/age everything on site. This another of the few wineries that will provide flights of 4 if preferred, but also does guided wine tastings. Between this being a estate winery with good wines and the guided tasting it rates 5 stars in my opinion. This is definitely preferred by Debbie/I and if you do that you'll select with White or Red (we shared one of each) and you wind up tasting a total of 14 wines. The taste is more than sufficient for us to share so we both got to taste all 14 of them. These are all relatively dry wines so don't expect anything sweet unless you purchase a glass of their Port (also pretty good). Overall these wines were good for us, but we definitely had some preferences and wound up purchasing 4 bottles. We purchased 2 whites (2023 Pinot Gris, 2021 Deer Rock White) and 2 reds (2022 1870, 2021 Deer Rock Red). This place doesn't have a kitchen, but does have a cooler with meats, cheeses, etc. along with some crackers for purchase. They do have nice indoor/outdoor seating if you want to purchase a bottle/glass and just hang out. Finally they also have a completely restored log cabin and house available for rent either for weddings or if you're looking for somewhere different to stay in this area.
Enjoyed a beautiful afternoon at Mountain & Vine vineyard. The staff was welcoming and knowledgeable. My wife and I split two flights- the Kermit flight of whites and the Hawk flight of medium bodied reds. Both were delicious. On the day we were there, they had a bluegrass band in the large hall and were selling Barbecue. The setting is beautiful, nestled in quiet valley with a small pond. Definitely put Mountain & Vine on your list of wineries to visit, as the wines are excellent and the staff (including their dog buck) are wonderful.
Came here with my wife and got a bottle of wine while sitting out near the pond. The valley that the winery is in is beautiful and we really enjoyed the wine we got. We also very much enjoyed the big fluffy vineyard dog, Buck, who came and hung out with us for 30 minutes and loved the attention we gave him. Highly recommend this place!
Beautiful winery! The owners are welcoming, knowledgeable, and very passionate. It is obvious right away that they love spending quality time with their guests. The tasting room offers a panoramic view of the mountains, vineyards, and a lovely pond. This winery also doubles as a gorgeous wedding venue with spectacular views year round! Highly recommend!
We had our wedding at Delfosse in November and it was stunning! The ceremony site on the hilltop overlooking the vineyard and tasting room was such an idyllic place to get married. Their team was very helpful and responsive to all of our questions. Even the owner, Mike, spent lots of time getting to know us and guiding us through the process. Everything was set up perfectly and couldn't have gone more smoothly. Delfosse will hold a special place in our hearts forever.
April 23, 2025 drove 30 minutes out of our way to visit this vineyard since my 80yo father chose it out of four vineyards we were going to visit this day. After finally getting there at 315pm we were told my an elderly couple sitting outside that they unexpectedly closed for the day because they were having staffing issues. As a business owner I understand that sometimes things come up, but at the same time they have to understand that this is poor business practices when someone comes so far out of their way, up at the top of a steep mountain on thin winding roads to come there to buy their wine just to find nobody there. As the owner, they couldn’t keep their doors opened for business a couple more hours? Worked out, because we ended up going to Trumps winery which was absolutely amazing.
We had to replan our wedding for three different dates due to Covid, and Delfosse was willing to work with us through it all! We finally had our wedding this November, and it was worth the wait. The vineyard in the fall is breathtaking, and guests commented on how beautiful everything was all night. We ended up having our ceremony in the "meadow" instead of at the top of the hill, but the fountain behind the altar made for an incredible backdrop. The tasting room was great for a chilly cocktail hour, and the event barn was perfect for dinner and dancing. I'm so glad we got to spend our wedding at Delfosse!

Jorge is the MAN! Get the Port he makes! This place is quaint, and the views are stunning. The wine doesn't suck either. Join the wine club.
I want to express my great satisfaction with my visits to Brent Manor Vineyards. From the moment I arrived, the staff was welcoming and knowledgeable, guiding me through a memorable wine tasting. The vineyard’s picturesque setting and exceptional wines were truly impressive. The wines showcased Brent Manor’s dedication to quality, and the tasting notes enhanced the experience. The staff’s passion and insights into the vineyard's history added a personal touch. Every detail of the visit, from the well-maintained grounds to the organized tasting session, highlighted their commitment to customer satisfaction. I highly recommend Brent Manor Vineyards for a top-notch wine tasting experience. I look forward to visiting again soon to explore more of their exquisite wines.
Can I make this 6 stars? George & Tracy are amazing, knowledgeable and immediate friends. The venue is perfect & also built by the owner’s hands. We’ve been coming back for years, each time the wine is better— if you can believe it?! Obviously we will be back for more. This is a definite must during your time in CVille, Nelson County.. you’re in Virginia?? Just go.
We had a great visit this afternoon! It was extremely refreshing to have only adults in the tasting room! The owners were very friendly and knowledgeable! It was a great selection of wine. The winetails were a refreshing and a different option than most places we have been. The lemon crush was very good! We will definitely go back!
Years ago , we loved going to local wineries but in recent years we’ve found the overpriced and underwhelming. We do not find this to be true at Brent manor. Instead of doing the entire tasting, we chose 4, each was excellent! I cannot tell you which was my favorite. The property is gorgeous with lovely seating inside and out. Check it out!
Their wines are first-rate and the proprietors are friendly and interesting people. We sat on their expansive terrace with our dog and had an enchanting experience. We have sampled wines at dozens of Virginia vineyards and this is among the best.
This is a great little Portuguese vineyard in Nelson Co. The vineyard is back to doing regular tastings and they have a good mix of white, rose, and red varieties. They also have rose, white, and ruby red ports that candy be tasted for an additional fee. I can say that I actually liked all of the wines and ports, which is unusual as there's always one or two I don't like, but not in this case. They had 2 whites, 2 rose, 2 reds, and 1 red blend (my favorite). Hands down my favorite of the ports was the chilled white. Currently their facility is relatively small, but very nice with a nice outdoor seating area with an awesome view. They do have a big expansion being constructed that will more than double their space and be able to host events. Finally they don't have a kitchen, but do offer some cheese/salami/crackers. They do not mind if you bring your own munchies. 4/16/2023: Stopped by again this year and like usual for a small winery the wines have changed, but like last year they're very good. I've attached the latest wine list, some updated pictures, and the rating remains 5 stars even though I'd normally reserve that for 'estate' wineries.
Amazing vineyard and husband is from Portugal, so many of the wines are inspired from Portugal, very high quality!
