OnTree has been a staple every summer for the last few years, and it has always been a phenomenal experience each and every time I've gone. My partner and I decided to go last week as he had never been there before but had been wanting to go for a long time, and as always, it was a fantastic experience! We actually ended up buying season passes, as buying one this late into the season not only gives you the last two months of the current season but also gives you the entire next season! Not only that, but going this late into the season means minimal waiting time on the courses due to fewer people having the time to venture out that way, as well as cooler weather to climb in. The owner is almost always present, he is one of the friendliest people you'll have the opportunity to meet, and his team are some of the sweetest people to ever rescue you (if need be). I honestly can't say enough about how well run, how well maintained, and how much fun this place is - thank you so much for continuing to bring fun and challenging courses to us every year! • Course 19 is the most challenging of the Medium/Hard (blue/red) courses and does require a lot of upper body strength at the beginning of the course. If you look directly above you when you are near where you end your initial training, you'll see why - with two longer metal poles to walk across on each end, its the three hangman knoose in the middle that will drain your strength as it can be hard to get your foot out of one while trying to get to the next, and the next is always moving while you're attempting to get your foot into the loop. • Course 13 is the course with the four to five hanging X's suspended high in the air, they are each suspended at their points and they move incredibly easily as you're trying to move from one to the other. • Course 14 is the one you want if you want the high zip line, and a lot of zipline. • Black diamond 7 does not count towards being able to access the double black diamond (course 4) and it does get easier after you get past the first three obstacles. • Black diamonds 6 and 8 MUST be completed in the same visit in order to be able to access the double black diamond (course 4) and the double black diamond has something like a 96.6% fail rate with how challenging it is after having already completed the other two black diamonds required to unlock it. 🌲🍂🧡
Took family here. Amazing place and great staff! The easy courses were perfect blend of thrills and simple obstacles for first timers. And the smaller courses were just enough for our 8 yr old who didn't want to go up too high. Highly recommend to anyone
This was our first time at ontree, The courses and the activities in themselves exceeded our expectations and we would love to come back to enjoy the courses again, however I have to mention the unorthodox behaviour from one of the staff members I noticed while walking through the park. I understand how important it is to make sure all of the guests are using the equipment in a manner that both keeps them and everyone else around them safe, and in our training, this is explained to us. If someone is spotted incorrectly doing something we get an orange helmet, if we do something again we get removed from the park. On numerous occasions, I heard this staff member being unnecessarily rude to climbers, more notably, children. If he noticed someone doing something incorrectly, instead of explaining to you how to correctly do it, his first response was to try and make a witty comment trying to indicate that you’re just “stupid”. We seen him walk up to a group of young girls and ask them if they’ve ever been taught how to read, as the group of them didn’t notice a small sign beside them. Instead of pointing out the sign, he continued on with them just being stupid and not being able to read or understand. The comments are completely unnecessary, as a staff member and a trainer. This is absolutely not the way to go about safety. You can absolutely explain to them that they’re in the wrong and tell them what they should be doing without degrading them, and as per the park rules if it happens again, remove them from the park. It was extremely disheartening to see how confused, distraught and upset The young girls were during the interaction. Hearing these interactions as we walked through the park definitely changed the experience for us. It’s really not that hard to be kind and helpful, even if someone’s doing something wrong, you can let them know in a better manner.
Ontree is a must for our family at least once a year! It is a gorgeous area, lots of beautiful big trees and obstacles are both fun and sometimes challenging. Ziplines are so much fun! It is a great time to have kids outside, thinking about clearing the obstacles while everyone is safe with the extra safety precautions. Staff is always helpful, and knowledgeable.
Absolutely love coming here! It’s super fun and the staff are incredible. We make a point to go at least once a year, if you’re looking for an active and challenging adventure this is the place to go. Anyone who has left a bad review obviously didn’t read the rules, pay attention or are simply not fit enough for the activity.
Amazing place! The easy courses were just enough of a blend of thrills and simple obstacles for first timers. And there were lower courses for my 8yr old who didn't want to go up high. Staff was friendly and very helpful whenever you got stuck. Highly recommend
It's a cable walking climbing with zip lines are the end of each course
Amazing fun day! Kids had a blast! Owners were very friendly, staff seemed to have had ESP, and would show up on their quads the second we needed somebody. Never felt unsafe at any point. Well worth the money! Exercise and the outdoors, wonderful way to spend a day. 3 hours was plenty of time. You are tired and hungry by the end of it and ready to leave. Bring lots of water in a cooler with ice.

An original 1750s prefabricated wooden Blockhouse in a Vauban style earthwork fortification. Free admission. Excellent walking trail with interpretive panels. Hosts 18th century military reenactment from time to time.
Beautiful area. Big place, not sure if allowed to Picknick there, but lawn very well maintained. 2 big gravel parking lots. 1.2 km walking trail, no camping and no metal detectors allowed. They have signs with explanation about the history of the fort. You can see some canons spread around the place, as well as a monument and block house. Block house was closed at the time of visit, due to structural concern. Didn’t walk the trail, but at the main open area, didn’t see any benches or shade.
Not a lot here but worth a look if you're in the area. Oldest blockhouse in the country! Great views over the bay.
Great place to take the kids/Family for a walk. Dogs allowed but you need to pick up after them. Parking is big enough as not many cars if there is no events happening. Located in the Town of Windsor a d walking distance to coffee and other shops including main street. Great views of the area. Lots of history and plaques to read. Gravel walking paths. Not a long walk but good for quick outings. Lots of grass and areas to have fun or a picnic. Great place for photos and such. In the summer they have events, check the website for the events. Possible development near this site in the future. You can see the textile building in the distance and the highway. Good place to check out and worth a stop if roadtriping in the valley and close to the highway ramp.
Nice historical area with free parking and no restroom amenities (reason for one less star). Beautiful walk in a good weather with picturesque views from the fort. Unfortunately, blockhouse is opened only in July/August. It is not a destination on its own but could be combined with other destinations in Wolfville area.
Fort Edward, containing the oldest blockhouse in Nova Scotia. There is not much of the original earth works walls left, but it has very well maintained lawn and panels to give you all the information about the fort and its past. I hope one day the federal government and government of Nova Scotia restore this proud fort to her former glory.
This was really fun. My husband & I did the Valley Ghost Walk tour on October 30, 2025 & it was fantastic. The guide was amazing. Definitely would recomment
Lovely place with a 1.2 km trail to walk around. Spotted a few pheasants too. They were renovating the main building at the time. Normally it's open July & August with an interpreter.

What an awesome fall experience. This is an absolute must visit for any family or person that loves the fall in general. The amount and variety of pumpkins, squash and gourds are staggering. The family who owns and operates this farm are very friendly and took the time to explain to our very inquisitive boy what every different species was that we couldn't identify. The contest they have to see who can grow the biggest veggies and legumes is no joke and is worth the trip there alone... I have never seen a 1500+ lb pumpkin before. The pole gourd that was over 12 feet was also quite impressive. The items for sale were more than reasonably priced. They have not only an amazing variety of all the above to purchase in a good selection of sizes, but also carry a wide range of seeds and local artisan products as well ❤️‍🩹
Such a nice gentleman. I could’ve talked hockey and life with him for hours. Very welcoming onto his historic piece of property.
This is the best place in Nova Scotia for pumpkins! Dills never disappoints! Worth the drive from Halifax for sure.
This is the best place for fresh produce. The Dill family are wonderful people and children absolutely have a ball with all the activities designed for them. It wouldn't be complete if you didn't visit the Dill farm while in Windsor. They hold high standings in this community for everything they have contributed. I highly recommend Howard Dill Enterprises.
Chef Dilly's 👨‍🍳 A great spot to grab lunch, afternoon snack and or supper! Food is hot and freshly prepared just the way you like it! Have fish and chips, and Scallop burgers, and chilly Dilly dogs and Howie's double bacon cheeseburgers and Hilda's old fashioned fried chicken tenders, the list goes on and on and on!
It is a very nice place to go with or without kids. It’s awesome to see the big pumpkins
Awesome place to see giant pumpkins. It is impressive. Definitely worth to visit while pumpkins are present.
We have been going for over 20 yrs and never have we been disappointed with the pumpkins, the pies are delicious. Great place to get out in the fresh air with your family.

We went here as we were spending the day in windsor. I had always wanted to see the birthplace of hockey museum. Addision for 1 adult is just under $4.00. You get the clifton museum, which has some really cool artifacts, plus the home is really neat if you like interiors and history. Part of the clifton museum is the hockey museum. Small, but worth seeing once. What's really impressive about this place is the grounds, theyre stunning. Id recommend brining a picnic! They also have disc golf. At the time of visiting they werent renting discs, I can see why as they can get lost if youre not a great shot. So bring your own! Worth a look. For the 3 in 1 component, I give this place 4 stars.
A fascinating home from the 1830s vintage. The original owners were frankly despicable and don't merit discussion, but that is history, warts and all. The home has a very interesting tie into very early hockey in this country and great displays. A beautifully appointed home.
Need a spot for wedding photos or prom or family? I highly recommend this location - the grounds are absolutely beautiful.
We went for the hockey museum not knowing the Halliburton house museum was in the same spot but we were pleasantly surprised. The grounds are beautiful and the staff really knows their stuff! The lady at the front gave us a nice tour and it really felt like she was passionate about the history and not just a memorized script. It was a great tour and the hockey part was also amazing especially the diversity section. Very much worth the entrance few of a few dollars
I came to the park to play some Disc Golf. Nice open course 9 baskets each with 2 tee pads. Didn't check out the museum.
The guide who greeted us was very knowledgeable about the house, Thomas Halliburton, and the town of Windsor. She made the experience truly memorable.
This was a cool place. We saw the birth place of hockey and all the cool stuff they used. Old hockey sticks and old goalie pads.
Great little museum - actually two museums in one. Very affordable and a worthwhile visit for a couple of hours.

Mike was a wealth of information and a pleasure to listen to on both Clifton House and Birthplace of Hockey and how they are tied together. Great memorbility, pics, artifacts and history. Only disappointment was there were no XL T-shirts for me to purchase for my husband.
Great museum, lots of history and and things to see. Lots of parking and washrooms. The staff was excellent. This house is completely beautiful, we loved seeing the hockey history as well. The basment with large fireplace was really cool. Love seeing how large the rooms. Great place to visit when in Windsor NS. Lots of fun photo opportunities and history to take in. We went on Canada 🇨🇦 day and it was not very busy, worth the visit.
Loved this little museum. It is just a few rooms, short and sweet. It shares the same building as the Halliburton house museum. The had lots of old skates hockey sticks pucks and jerseys to look at. There was also a diversity in hockey room that had a section on women in hockey! Loved it worth the couple dollar admission. (Admission to get it covers both Halliburton house and the birthplace of hockey).
Just a road sign we saw on the highway! Turned out to be so cool!
Went to visit this museum excitedly on a Sunday drive with my mother only to be disappointed to find it closed on a Sunday afternoon. The website says it should be open on Sunday, and if any time it should be open, the middle of summer is definitely it. So they lose a point for that. I didn't get to see the actual hockey museum, but I did explore the grounds and see the Clifton Estate, Disc Golf Course. That was really fun to watch, as I had never seen it before, and had never even heard of it. There were many people playing it and the grounds of the museum/park were very lovely. Well worth visiting. I would just check to make sure they are actually open first.
Visit Long Pond about a mile or two away; it seems to be the AGREED birthplace of hockey. I suppose this is a nice enough little Museum but there's a lingering suspicion that Mr. Halliburton leveraged himself into a position of hockey historical significance that may be...dubious. He is I, I think, a documented plagiarist - that - accidentally let slip from our docent.
Fantastic museum with very accommodating staff who worked with our limited availability Many thanks to Lucy the museum director who was amazing!
Loved the trails... Beautiful spot..closed but still a nice spot for geocaching.. walking.. exploring.. picnics.. frisbee...

The place is well maintained and fun to go. The weather in Nova Scotia might not be the best for winter sports but the team at Ski Martock are working hard to provide a place to ski and snowboard.
Had an amazing time skiing at Martock! The slopes were well-maintained, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced skier, there’s something for everyone. The rental process was smooth, and the overall atmosphere was fantastic. A perfect spot for a fun winter adventure!
My husband is a regular. We live close by and in the winter he is there often. We recently checked out the fall event. I loved the experience of going up and down the lift to view the fall scene from above. Thank you for that experience.
When I was paying for my rentals and day pass, the workers were nice, and when i was getting my skis. The atmosphere is blissful, the hills are fun, but when i ordered a black bean burger, i had to wait over 30 minutes for it, and a couple staff were being rude. But most of the staff was nice. But other than that, the experience was amazing and I am definitely going to come back
Good place to visit during Fall season.
Not bad for Nova Scotia. We aren't exactly a mountainous region. Lol but I've skied here for years and it's perfect for beginners and kids. Those who are expanding head to Wentworth or perhaps Marble in NFLD or one of the great ski resorts in Quebec...
Booked a ski lesson here with Grace- went from knowing nothing about skiing- to being able to go down all of the hills from the top. Fantastic time and fairly priced. Great atmosphere, and will definitely be back!
I fell alot :< but it was fun, the staff was really helpful in learning and I had a great time :3 but the cheeseburger I had for lunch looked really depressing, didn't taste the best too

My 12 year old train nut son loved it here . Staff is good . Can be a wait time to go on the train rides but worth it . It's all run by volunteers that love what they do . They are only open TheY occasional weekends so you have to see when they are running . Can pay by card or cash . They have picnic tables there so you can bring a picnic and have a lunch there when we were there there was a lady selling some baked goods as well and some water .
It was initially created in 1988 by Atlantic Model Engineering Society and later open to the public in 1996. The ride is free of admission but I would suggest donate at the entrance to support this fun to be continue. My son love it so much and they also offer picnic space. It beat all other charged mini train ride we have ride before! Check the website for opening days and plan your trip with your little train lover.
Great place for one time visit… Kids will really enjoy… I recommend to check if they are open or not before going. Its totally free to ride and we can book for birthday events…
We had a blast! Cute little miniature trains you can ride on.
This is an amazing place to visit, especially with young kids. Admission is by donation and the rides are free, so the little ones can ride till they drop. The scale model engines are all unique and quite intricate in the case of the steam engine which is actually steam powered. Be sure to check the website as they only open to the public a few days per year.
This small-size train model is a delightful experience for both kids and adults. Featuring both steam and gas engines, it's not only beautifully crafted and detailed but also entirely free to enjoy. While there's no cost to experience this charming model, donations are welcome to support its maintenance and future enhancements. Whether you're a train enthusiast or just looking for a fun activity, this model is sure to impress. Highly recommended!
Visitors will find a few small trains available to ride, which are especially popular with children. The attraction operates on donations, with no entry fee required. Dates and opening times are listed on their website.

Beautiful old theatre to hear Terra Spencer and Friends play tunes mostly from her new album.
Always a fun place to go. Seen the Stanfields tonight waited 2 years because of covid. And it was worth every minute every hour every year. They put on an amazing show and I hope this is the start of them returning to the place they should be. I donated $5 to the theater and the house director made me feel like it was $500. Thank you to everyone that helped put on the show. And a big shout out to the sound guy. ( you made this concert)
Really great show with Lenny Gallant. Comfortable seats and nice atmosphere.
Amazing venue. A hidden gem.
We went yesterday to the International children's Festival of Arts and Saw THE RAINBOW FISH ❤ I Totally Recommend everyone to see this one ❤ It's just beautiful 💦🐟🐬🐋🐳🐟🐠🐡🐙🦀 All Colorful, and Bright, which catch attention of the children ❤ I was In Love with it ❤ and so My Daughters ❤ I hope to see more of The Mermaid theater here in Edmonton Again ❤
Wicked venue and the people who run it are very good to the community and we appreciate it
First timer to hear Ben Caplan and Terra Spencer. Amazing sound in this space that made two wonderful musicians sound even better!

Had the kayaks today. It was beautiful. Visited friends cottage in Canyon point. We went out on seadoo as well. Can do all sorts on this lake. Next time bringing our rods. Mockingjay? Mockinghee..is connected. So relaxing.
Quiet place. Peaceful lake. A few access points to the water itself. We did encounter a few territorial visitors who saw us parking by an empty spot and swooped in while we were unpacking our kids. So be prepared for the possibility of ignorance but based on how quiet it was and the nearby falls, hopefully you are able to find another entry point as we were.
A small provincial park. However, very quiet. A couple of the picnic sights give access to the lake for swimming or launching canoes / kayaks. One of my favorite places to go for a paddle.
Nice little hide away or just to get away for a bit. Small circle around and you're out of there, but I could spend a night here forsure. Seems alot of birds for us lovers of them all. They also do have a outer 🏠 house lol.
Love the quiet and peaceful scenery all around this area.
Beautiful little picnic park. Great spot to launch a canoe or kayak or take a swim.
Nice little park with several options for lake access. Pit toilet closed when I visited 21 Aug 2020 due to Covid.
Always great, refreshing . Never a crowd of people there

My sister and I spent a wonderful afternoon researching our east and west Hants roots. The young lady who assisted us (we think her name is Chloe. Apologies if we are mistaken)was so accommodating helping us go through the process of finding clues for our family search. Thanks so much
Friendly staff. Wonderful exhibits. Great experience.
This is a small community museum with limited resources. There are some interesting exhibits (especially Military and Sports history) while other topics are lacking. The volunteer staff are friendly and helpful.
This group knew their stuff. Super helpful, reasonable prices from the genealogy section. Highly recommended.
The West Hants Historical Society has a fabulous genealogy room that is packed with research resources. The mostly volunteer and some student staff are friendly and helpful. Membership is only $10 a year for an individual and you can't beat that. If you're looking for you ancestors in Hants County, this is the go-to place. And, if that's not enough, they have a wonderful museum. Great place to visit - you won't be disappointed.
Interesting! The volunteers and the summer students are engaging, the building is lovely and it's close to other nice places to visit. The history of West Hants is very cool.
Unique, pleasant people, displays were eye catching, made me feel of the day. Most importantly I felt relaxed and not rushed. Had a good time. Thank you.
Very knowledgeable about the local area. A great genealogy room to study in. And an interesting museum to visit during the summer months.
