Beautiful park with many natural areas. The campsites are a sandy base if you aren't in the pull through section, but there was lots of space between sites and being within walking distance of the beach is great. Showers were clean and there was a foot washing tap if you're just looking to clean your feet. The kids loved the playground, there are a few play structures and swings.
Amazing place to take your family! Fun and relaxing for all ages. The beach was great! The water was just right! Nice and shallow. It would be nice if they kept the sand area cleaner as there was a lot of wood, cigarette butts & debris scattered. Overall, great day! Not busy. Parking was available at a paid price.
Just love this park. We’ve been coming every year for the last ten years. The beach is beautiful and the camp sites are large. The staff is super friendly and do rounds pretty often which is great. The cleanliness could be much better for the sites, the showers, bathrooms and the beach itself. Most mornings we have to wash up with sinks full of sand and bugs and seems they are cleaned only once a day. Same with the showers and seem to have one out of service most of the time. Besides the cleanliness, really love this beautiful park.
Great sandy beach with glowing sands and lots of waves to give you a feel of ocean. I was there in the long weekend and still not crowded at all. I don’t recommend camping here as there are not so many trees like other parks and campsites are small, cramp and exposed. But day use of the beach is awesome. There is no shower, changing room or bathroom on the beach.
Long point provincial park emulates the ocean side, minus the smell of salty air. Some campsites are situated on rolling sand dunes. It's quite a spectacular place to visit . It was very hot when I went so I took full advantage of the outer bay beach line that stretches for miles . Also launched my boat from the boat launch that is in the park . The convenient fish cleaning station is right there and it is cleaned daily whether it's used or not . Very clean park , well kept , and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The third week of September had a full moon so I tried capturing it with my phone which serves the spectacular view no justice . I recommend it but book early it's a popular park . It has good fishing and waterfowl hunting , bird watchers come from all over to view the marsh wildlife. It's truly one of Ontarios great parks . 👍
We have been to Long Point Provincial Park many times for day use. There is a nice sized beach with room to spread out. The beach is shallow and good for kids. Lake Erie is generally warmer than the other Great Lakes so that’s a plus to the kids also. Have never hiked or camped so can’t comment on those facilities however there are washrooms by the parking lots when going to the beach.
The campsite is very nice, great beach. Fine sand, long stretch of beach. The sand helps the water to drain after a rain storm. They have a modern, renovated washroom available by the front gate. Some sites have power available. The camp offers a great star gazing experience due to low light pollution from surrounding municipalities
I went with a group for a day trip to access beaches and have a barbecue. Just loved it. Good washroom. Clean and huge beach. Not cold, not warm water. Not too much waves. If some one loves you can stay as long as you want in the water. Just loved it.

We did a day trip here and liked the tranquility of the area. Lots of trails and scenic areas to explore. There were numerous people fishing, you could clearly see fish surfacing in the water. Spent some time exploring the beautifully preserved historical buildings including a mill and schoolhouse on site. Good place for young children, family campground.
Good place for family fun. One can check in online and pick up the pass later. Large space, good activities, fishing and history sites.
I am a seasonal camper there. It is very peaceful and lots of trails to trek through nature. They also do a great reenactment of the battle of 1812.
I used to camp here as a child almost yearly. It was a very popular place, with lots going on! I brought my child here for the first time, we rented one of the two cabins they offer. It is pet friendly, total bonus. Very clean, and each site is well maintained. Bathrooms available close by. Hiking trails are excellent! The only downfall, is that nothing seems to be open, during the week. We went to use the pool (during pool hours) and it was closed. The front desk was closed .. so we had to purchase any extra wood, ice etc outside the campground.
The firefly cottage was great! Came with a mini-fridge, coffee pot, kettle, and an outlet. Highly recommend for camper that want a bedframed stay. The heritage stuff was cool especially the mill and weave shop. Just wish the other buildings on the heritage site got some more attention. (Lookin' at you blacksmithy)
Well laid out area with lots of hands experiences for kids and modern education center. Reasonable entry price per car. Great example of 1800 's buildings on site.
I have been coming to this beautiful conservation park for many years. It is tranquil full of nature, wildlife, fishing, camping, swimming, nature trails, heritage village, museum, events center. Practically has everything a family needs to have a beautiful vacation. You also have Turkey Point, Port Rowan, and Long Point Beach close by. Definitely recommended. Thank you to the staff for keeping it very clean. Umberto Inchima
Had a chance to check out the decoy museum which was a great find. Also beautiful views throughout - the kids enjoyed fishing.

Loved my recent visit to Front Road Cellars at Blueberry Hill! We went on a weekend and it was fantastic. We were greeted right away and sat on the patio. Their tasting menu is quite extensive, so we did not have a lack of choice. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable about the products (as a wine lover, I super appreciated that!) and made some great recommendations for us. Every cider and wine that we tried, we loved! Of course we also picked up farm fresh blueberries on the way out. Definitely will be back, one of my most favourite spots to go!
Walking in the Wine Maker’s Shoes was such a great event. The entrepreneurial spirit of both Nick & Amanda shone bright and it was such a treat visiting the vines from which Nick makes some fabulous wines. It was an educational , culinary , & sensory experience. Front Road Cellars is such a hidden gem in Norfolk County. Their innovative spirit to grow new & more hardy varietals is starting to pay off. Not going to spill all the beans here because you simply need to go & taste & experience for your self…you will not be disappointed!
Lovely place! Delicious food and good drink!! You need to have the baguette!!! The lemon olive oil/blueberry balsamic that you dip your bread in.... oh my goodness! Amazing!!! Beautiful location both inside and out. Staff is wonderful and very informative. Definitely a place to add to your list!
Very welcolming and friendly family-run winery and cidery. Their blueberry jalapeño jelly is a must! Beautiful setting!
Another delightful stop along the Toast the Coast trail, Front Road Cellars has great wine and cider and such a cozy tasting room. Sadly, some of their ciders had already sold out, so I'll be planning a visit earlier next year to not miss out. A warmer weather visit will also allow for outside sipping. We met the winery cat, a very friendly little one who spent much of our visit in my lap. The one cider I did have a chance to try was great. We'll definitely be back.
We were fortunate to have Blueberry Hill create a beautiful charcuterie board for our Wine and Paint Night at Fin and Feather Marina, with Hannah serving a wonderful selection of their wines.
Kelly and I were fortunate enough to attend “ Walk in the Winmakers Boots “ As with every event that has been put on by this group of out of the box thinkers, it was another first class event. From the welcoming cocktail , to the pairings to listening to Nick talk about his passion for wine making and his vision for the future. If you get a chance to attend any upcoming events you will not be disappointed. Thanks again to Nick & Amanda and their dedicated team. CHEERS 🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷
We had our wedding at Blueberry Hill Estate back in July, and it was absolutely PERFECT! It was a dream working with Alayna and Amanda and they were so kind and patient as I navigated my way through everything. I would recommend this team to anyone looking for their wedding venue! Lastly, their wine is amazing, they have great customer services and I'm so thankful to have this winery in out neighborhood! 🤍✨️

Such a unique place. You can spend hours looking at all of the interesting treasures. I decorated most of my cottage from the wonderful things I found. A must visit if you are in Port Rowan
This place was amazing! So many cool things, everything was displayed so beautifully in the store. Two levels and sooo much to see, will definitely be making another trip back!
Nice clean place. Lots of great antiques and collectibles. Will definitely go back.
Beautiful store, in the old Howey Hardware building. Spectacular ceiling and old bins on the wall. The merchandise is well presented, interesting, with lots of hard to find collectibles and antiques. Definitely worth a day trip, the nearby lake view, harbour and lakeside park are a bonus.
Good size and filled to the rafters with antiques and home decor, surely some of it as old as the creaky floors, stairs, and iron floor vent. Some unique pieces and collectibles with a mix that would keep anyone looking at all the nooks and crannies for that piece they are looking for. The staff was very pleasant and helpful even though the store was quite busy at the time. Will be back to dig some more when we are back in the area.
Nice store! Tons of cool antiques and homemade items. The building is a historic hardware store.
Excellent little place to find those hidden treasures at ok prices!!! Two levels of stuff to look at and purchase, store owners very nice and helpful, would definetly go back!
Love checking this place out every summer. Always a friendly lady behind the counter.

We had a fabulous lunch - hot beef sandwich with fries and veggies. Brianna our server really paid attention to our service. Thank you
It was a quick stop on the way home, and we heard highways were super busy, so we decided to spend some more time after visiting the nearby town where we went for a scenic hike. Parking was easy, and the restaurant experience was awesome. I remember visiting here, way back during the emergency, when a next-door building was under construction, now fully built. Staff is friendly and atmosphere was welcoming. We ordered two double haddock with fries, and it was yummy and filling. Usually Tartar sauce is readily available, especially when we order double fish, so I expected two sauces, but it came with one, so we had to pay extra for additional Tartar sauce. Later, we ended up ordering their delicious bread pudding, and it was well worth it. Portion was large. It was not too sweet, which is good, and we could hardly finish it. If you're in the area, do visit this restaurant and enjoy the lake Erie scenery. Don't forget to take a peaceful stroll near Port Rowan Harbor. I still believe that if someone ordered double haddock with fries, they should offer two Tartar sauce and not one, or at least ask if two are needed.
Right outside of Port Rowan, decently walkable, nice water location. It's a cool building with a pirate/boat theme but it was kind of gloomy vibe. Our server was pleasant and friendly, but the service was slow, Because there was only 1 cook. But the chef 🔥Cooked🔥 (Literally) Smash burgers were good Hot cocoa was yummy 😋. The dill pickle fries were really good. After a Meal I would recommend walking down the pier or heading to twins ice cream 🍦. It's super good. Overall I would recommend for you to try the boathouse. -Hyde Park Review team.
Date of Visit: Saturday, June 14, 2025 After meaning to visit The Boathouse for ages, we finally made our way there for the first time, and it did not disappoint. Nestled by the marina, the restaurant offers a lovely patio with a relaxing view of the harbour—perfect for soaking in the atmosphere while enjoying a meal. We opted for the perch and chip dinner, which came with a light panko breading that added a satisfying crunch. We also upgraded to the Dill Pickle fries. The dill pickle fries were a unique and flavorful twist, complementing the dish well. Everything was cooked to perfection and served promptly, making for an enjoyable dining experience. The service was phenomenal—warm, attentive, and efficient, adding to the welcoming atmosphere of the restaurant. The Boathouse has a charm that makes it worth a visit, especially if you're looking to enjoy a waterfront meal in a peaceful environment. We're glad we finally made it and can see why it's a local favourite. Prices are very reasonable, menu options are plentiful, the location is lovely, there is plenty of on-site parking, and a lovely patio to dine at. What’s not to love?
Do we really enjoyed our time there. My breakfast was so huge I could have fed my family for a week on it. Our server Abrielle was awesome. She has a very nice way about her and is very likable
Avoid this restaurant. First time we went we waited almost 2 hrs to eat. This was near the start of the season and they had “not anticipated being this busy” - half or less of the tables in the restaurant were occupied. The server offered us free fries for the long wait - we never got our free fires, in fact the fries we got with our food was totally a jip! Almost like we were being punked (being offered free fries and then getting way less than expected of what we paid for), as the fries we got with our food were ridiculously less than expected. Food was all right to mediocre at best. We had fish and minimal chips, a burger and souvlaki. My partner liked her Greek food this visit which is why the food score is a 2 and not 1. Basically no one else was that satisfied with their food. Also, why chintz out on fries??! lol Second visit, and we were hesitant to go, it was the rest of our group that insisted as they hadn’t tried it before, and it was even more disappointing than the first time. I’ve attached the image of the food I got (with an insert of the menu description). I ordered the "jumbo sausage" that is stated as a foot long. As you can see in the image I therefore have a two foot long hand and now realize I am about 18 feet tall. Also, remarkably, the tomato, onion pickle relish and mustard topping was of the invisible kind. Baked potato was about 40% cooked. This was after waiting an hour for our food. Sarcasm aside, when I asked the server if I could get a menu again she sighed, this was not close to the first time that she did this. For real, a clear, audible sigh. When she brought a menu back and I looked to verify what I had read (the title and description of what I ordered, again refer to the attached image to see this) I asked if I had been given the wrong sausage and she said no this is what you get. I asked why does it say footlong and she said it is a typo. I said "so you knew about this when I ordered this" and she confirmed she did. I asked why she did not tell me it wasn't a jumbo footlong like what it is called and what I ordered and again she acted like I was being ignorant to her. I had been given 45% of the bun and meat I was to believe I had ordered and about 5% of the topping you’d expect. Yet at no time was anyone at our table anything but nice to this young lady. The staff there are pretentious and full of themselves. We’ve observed the attitudes of them on both visits. Staff attitudes are a direct reflection on management. It goes top down in the service industry. At this time your rating is 4.0, according to google: (Customer Perception) Many customers prefer restaurants with ratings around 4.6 to 4.7, finding them to be trustworthy and reliable. There is another restaurant in this small town (rating is 4.7) that is the exact opposite of this place. It actually has great food, friendly staff and you don't wait an hour to two hours to get your half cooked disappointing food. Otherwise make the journey to Simcoe or Port Dover, there are some fantastic options there. Shame on you Boathouse! Oh ya, also, both times here we have been put at a table that seems like it is covered in sap. It is sticky. Literally you have to peal the laminated menu off of the table! They explained that it is the finish on the table. I guess if they can't afford some sharpie to mark out the word "footlong" on the menu then they can't fix a gross table. Both times I was there we were with different people and it was comical watching the others trying to clean the stickiness off of the table, my mother insisted vinegar would work, and it didn't. But she sure tried! Truly it is so weird there honestly. Last thing, the French Onion Soup. It is tasty, I’ll give it that, but It is not French onion soup. Technically it is actually a dessert item made of super sweet caramelized onion syrup. I could not eat this as a diabetic. I shared tastes of this around the table and everyone was shocked at the sugar content. It was onion, but it was not French or soup!
Loved this place. Set in a beautiful little town. We had the Pickerel dinner and enjoyed better than what we have had in PortDover. Highly recommend :)
It was a good place to eat, nice vibe, friendly stuff, foods are also good.

Whenever we go camping at the provincial park, I wake up early bike to the building and watch what birds they find in the nets, even for beginner. Everyone is friendly and welcoming, and loves to pass on the knowledge of my favourite places
A great place to observe and learn about birds. The staff is professional and friendly. You can borrow binoculars, but please do not touch the birds in the nets. The staff will promptly rescue the birds, band them, measure them, weigh them, and release them back into the wild.
Great place to stop and see the visiting birds lots of birds feeders in place and a short walking trail through the woods. Volunteers will do guided walks and bring out birds in their hands that were caught and logged and you can watch them process the birds.
A Fascinating Window into the World of Birds: I had a truly enriching experience at this bird observation site. It’s not just a place to watch birds—it’s a place where science, conservation, and curiosity come together. The staff are incredibly professional and welcoming. They answered questions and shared insights about the birds and the research process. One of the highlights was seeing how they safely handle birds and put identification bands on them. The trained staff during the banding procedure, measure, and weigh the bird before releasing it back into the wild. Whether one is a seasoned birder or just curious about nature, this place offers a rare opportunity to witness bird research in action. I left feeling inspired, informed, and more connected to the natural world. Binoculars were available for borrowing to observe birds in greater details.
This was really really cool place. Easy parking (free), very friendly staffs, cute gift shop, short trail around the facility where you can see birds. Birds are banded between 9 to 12 and you can watch them ID-ing the birds, weighing, and banding . Highly recommended place to visit. There is bathroom too.
Saw a green heron for the first time. A lot of Goldfinch, grackles, afew hummingbirds. Very pretty.
They say you can find as many as 50 species in a single day here! The researchers are banding birds caught in their nets from 9-12, so do be careful not to walk into them. The staff are very knowledgeable and welcoming and you can watch as they band the birds. Very fascinating!
Great work is being done here. As a tourist, best to go in the 6 hours after dawn to see the banding research being done. Friendly informative volunteers on hand. They run on donations and purchases from the small gift shop. Not too big. Boots a good idea. They even have binoculars to borrow.

Judy was very sweet, rented a double kayak for half a day, it was very clean and reasonably priced. The wildlife was beautiful with many big bird flying around. Overall great experience would definitely recommend.
Awesome paddle up Big Creek. This family business is run by friendly, helpful people. Definitely recommend rentals from them.
Loved our experience. Judy was very nice and helpful. It was our first time have a dog on a boat and she accommodated is with a rug and a towel so our puppy doesn’t overheat The price is very reasonable and the boat was in great shape. I highly recommend it!
Had an amazing 2 hr pontoon charter cruise. Richard was so charming, kind, friendly captain. He showed us around the lovely docks, local swan bids and an osprey nest. The pontoon was really well maintained, recently renovated. Highly recommended for a relaxing cruise with your family.
Judy is very friendly and efficient, looking out for customers like we were family or old friends. Clean and well maintained canoes, life jackets and ores at fantastic prices.
Judy was amazing. Gave great advice on where to fish and places to visit in the area. She was very personable.
My family wanted somewhere to rent a canoe and be able to put the rest of our kayaks in the water. We found at the bridge. When we got there Judy was so friendly and helpful. We set out but after a while my daughter had an asthma attack. The rest of the group continued on and I towed my daughter back to the dock. When we got there Judy came out as I was getting warm water out of my truck for her. I explained what happened she put 2 chairs in the shade and gave her cold water. I offered to pay for it and she refused my money. She went way above and beyond for us. We will definitely be back in future years
An amazing experience! The canoe we rented was clean. Judy was very helpful and super friendly. We had such a great conversation learning about the hidden gems in the area. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

It was a slow day but fun. Ran out of propane heat but it was promptly refilled. Plenty of minnows and the guides were very accommodating. Looking forward to booking again.
Went out with them a bunch a couple years ago when we actually had ice and so thankful it's back! Went last week, going again tomorrow and Saturday! The guides are great and attentive and they put you on fish. They also have washroom facilities on the ice for the girls. Day 2 review! Brought the wife for her first ice fishing adventure ever and we smashed over 30 perch in 3 hours. Going back tomorrow!
Great day on the ice. Hut was warm and roomy for 3 people. Would use again.
Great people and great day on lake totally recommend
First time ice fishing. The entire process couldn't have gone smoother. Everything was very straight forward. Arrived, got to the hut where we had a heater and stove. Regularly checked on and restocked our minnows. We left with a feast of perch. Enjoyed it so much we booked again. Highly recommend jimmy riggin
I've been trying to get a hold of this company for close to two weeks now to get a $316.40 refund for a day ice hut rental cancellation; which they cancelled due to a lack of ice on the lake. No one picks up the phone or returns phone calls. When I received notice of the cancellation, it was sent via a text message from a third party; which does not accept return text messages. This company is not being managed correctly. I will post an update if they ever do return my money. Disappointed customer.
Great day, good fishing. Would definitely recommend 👍

Nice little shop. Loved the local treasures they have there like Port Rowan tshirts and mugs. My son got a hand made bracket there. A big variety of candy and pop.
I stopped into the store today because I was very thirsty and I saw they had a fridge of drinks. The gentleman working asked if I had a dollar on me and I said I only have debit. He then let me take the water for free. It was a very kind gesture and very much appreciated. Kindness like that always makes my day. In addition to a lovely and welcoming staff, the store was very clean and well kept. Everyone should check out Dizzy Lizzy’s when visiting Port Rowan!
Fun store with lots of variety of snacks, games, movies, collectibles, and crafts. Staff is really friendly and made us have a really pleasant experience.
Very nice little store. Great for beach essentials and especially kids. Owners are always so pleasant and make kids feel welcome
First time in Port Rowan and we loved this store! What’s even better than the awesome selection was the super friendly owner who was warm and welcoming. Awesome way to end an amazing week at Long Point!
Absolutely amazing experience, I will definitely be back. Great deals and incredible selection; as well as super friendly staff :)
A lovely store with friendly staff and a variety of gifts, toys, and souvenirs.
Disappointed in our experience We purchased an item that is not working correctly. And we were not given an itemized receipt at the time of purchase due to a glitch with the printing system. Went back to try to fix/replace/return the item and was told sorry, nothing I can do without a receipt. Despite the shop having some nice stuff, we will never go back and risk wasting more money and having no support. If you are ever there and unable to get your itemized receipt, make sure you get something, even if they have to write it out so you are not stuck in the same boat.
