Tasty cookies and strudel. Cider. Wine for sale. Eggs and so much more. Great okay area for the kids, no to mention apples for sale and picking. Had a nice visit here and it's not to far from the city!!!!!!
Another great orchard. The apples are delicious. The prices are reasonable. The apple strudels are delicious and fresh. There is a playground for kids. You can feed the cows which is great. Great atmosphere. You can even get a ride to go to the orchard and back. Highly recommend for family outing. You will enjoy it so much. The staff are great and everything is very well organized. Definite 5 star.
Last Saturday, we went to Wagner Orchards, many people were feeding the cow with apples, picked sweet and delicious different flavors apple s. Enjoyed and nice weather. We had never been this orchid, short distance from Windsor, less than an hour. This was a good choice for us.
Our go to for our annual apple picking. The play yard, feeding the cows some apples, picnic (there are about 6 or 6 picnic tables), hayride is always included in our trip before we crack open a bottle of the wine ($15) we purchase there and head out to fill our apple bag. ($23 to fill your own bag, $28 to purchase a ready full bag.
Been going here for decades and always had a good experience. Great customer service and top quality products, natural and without the hormones, pesticides, and all that crap. We had a nice day out there today, got a tractor ride to the apples, we relaxed and had some of their cherry apple cider and came home with a full bag of freshly picked apples and their delicious apple strudels!
No entrance fee is a huge win! Very nice spot to pick apples. Tractor ride for the kids, plus a play gym. Store sells pre-picked or pick your own apples-Cider, apple cider, pies plus more. Only thing I would improve is mowing the grass in between trees would make it a little more accessible. Would visit again!
We had my daughter's baby shower today at Wagner's. It was such a wonderful experience. The room was set up so nicely and the brunch was so delicious. Katrina and her staff were so helpful and accommodating. I would highly recommend them. Thanks Katrina and staff!!
Cute shop with pastries, cider, apples, maple products and honey. So much better than Thiessan's, still has a cute play area for kids in some hay, none of the expensive gimmicks.

Dominated by marsh/wetland, this conservation area boasts a beautiful stretch of beach with natural shade. Take a leisurely stroll along the beach or hike the trail the winds through the shores tree line. There is a picnic area directly to the north of the parking lot which has a very natural feeling. While here, take a walk up the lookout tower to get a glimpse of the marshland.
A beautiful and secluded little spot. Plenty of parking for all. Clean Porta John on site, always a bonus! A watchtower in the corner gives open views of our ever invasive phragmites :( A lovely trail to be followed all the way to the end where the nicest beach is, though plenty of little beaches to stop at along the way. This trail is pretty rough and if you don't have full mobility then it could be tricky. Lots of exposed roots and rocks and changes in the grade to trip you up on. Fair warning. Wheelchair accessible for the first 2 minutes but not much more, still a nice view of Lake St Clair to be seen. Thank you ERCA for maintaining this conservation area and God bless!
A beautiful place to spend the day. The water is beautiful, for swimming or kayaking or for a canoe. The trails are great and lots to see. You will definitely want bug spray as thise fries , mosquitoes and lady bugs aren't messing around there.
It's not much of a beach as most of it has been washed away. Still a little neat spot worth exploring just not on foot. This would be a really nice spot to go for a paddle.
Great and cute local waterfront conservation. But pollution is serious problem in area. Agriculture runoff pollution need to be tackled. Lot of dead fishes. But it's beautiful place.
Great trail not long at all, many little areas to stop before getting to the end point, when we went there was a lot of grass washed up on shore though so most areas not very beachy, but the end point was so we had subs and enjoyed some time there water was cold but not that bad for October, trail is pretty short but clear good time
Excellent place to go for a walk along the beach and a nice picnic area. During the summer the water washes away most of the trail and you can’t access it.
The beach is mostly washed up, but if you wear rain boots you can continue on a trail alongside the shoreline up to a canal. It's lots of fun to explore, and there's a lookout tower by the parking lot.

Better late than never. I've lived in the area for close to 30 years and have driven by the John Freeman Walls Historic Site many times, always saying that I would drop in for a tour one day. Well, I finally made along with my daughter-in-law and granddaughter. We had the please of meeting the founder of the museum Dr. Bryan Walls along with two young family members who were our tour guide. If we don't seek to know our history we are susceptible to repeat it. In encourage you not to wait as long I did to find out not only some local history but the very essence of what it was like to be a black slave in days past. The museum would be grateful for presence as well as any contribution you might offer to keep this valuable piece of history alive and well for generations to come. God bless you.
This site is open June, July, and August. *By appointment only May-October
Wonderful tour of the property, enjoyed meeting Dr. Walls and Michael. The buildings, mile markers and exhibits made true to life the ordeal, the miracle of survival and exhilaration at the end of the railroad and reaching freedom
Dr. Walls is a very interesting man. He is very intelligent and shared a wealth of knowledge. His ancestor is the original settler of the property. We wish Canada would contribute to the restoration of this amazing historical site.
Brian and Ana were the most gracious tour guides. Even though I had come before they officially opened, they gave me a full tour of the area because I was from out of town. They blend the history of the Underground Railroad, their personal history (they are descendants of escaped slaves), and the history of the MLK civil rights movement beautifully. With a positive focus on freedom and partnership, this site is must.
A poignant reminder of the slaves' journey to freedom. Bryan Walls and his three students help us venture back in time by leading us on a "journey" through the woods, describing the terrifying escape to Canada. A must see, or rather "experience," for all ages. Purchased Dr Walls' book, "The Road That Led to Somewhere," a true story of his ancestors journey via the underground railroad.
My family and I absolutely loved our experience at the John Freeman Walls historic site and Underground Railroad Museum. I HIGHLY recommend the site and museum to everyone.
Great tour, inexpensive, and an important part of Canada's history. Really enjoyed our visit! The whole tour took about 1.5 hours.
