Exceptional value for money 9-hole course that has a number of challenging holes no matter your skill level. Also, good use of elevation throughout the course. I would recommend it.
A great golf course however, it’s shady practice to sell beer in the clubhouse and then say you can’t offer change when someone pays cash. Not cool at all. Management doesn’t provide a cash float? Sketchy.
Great place to play! Challenging course with a few par 5s and a memorable water hazard on i believe 7! Reccomended to me by a friend and all of you by me! Enjoy guys! I did.
Great 9 hole course, could be a little cheaper but you know it's Golf
First time visited. Staffs were very nice and the place wasn't crowded. Will visit again.
What a great find! My wife and I played...twice on our little getaway weekend. Was only going be once but came back because of the price for a pretty great little course. The staff was helpful and accommodating for us first timers. The course is in good shape and great fun to play.
Nice little country 9 hole course . Not difficult but the 6th hole is as hard as they come. Fairways and tee boxes are a little rough but the greens are a good speed and have a nice roll to them. Nice place to go for an enjoyable 9 holes
Best conditioned course in my area. (1/2 hour radius around Durham). This 9 hole is enjoyable, challenging and very reasonable priced.

Very Quiet, great place to kayak, or canoe. Parking is small but free so you can't complain. Water is crystal clear.
Doesn't look like much from the launch pad, opens up to be a large lake in 3 sections, beautiful spot for kayaking/canoeing. Favorite fishing spot with the locals (No public washrooms) lots of parking **swim platform in the middle of the one lake is private property.
We found the floating dock in the middle and the lake is so beautiful. But get there early on the weekend to get a parking spot fills up guickly
Special spot. Like visiting 4 hrs north!
Great lake with beautiful peace and quiet. Great if you got the know how to get into the lakes safely. Shallow 2ft and under. most of the rivers that connect the smaller lake with the larger one.
Nice spot for canoeing. The whole lake bottom is covered in a rusty crust, does anyone know the cause?
My kids have been swimming in the lake for years
Beautiful lake, so peaceful!

Stunning and challenging course, with beautiful treelined fairways. The manager Pam is extremely friendly and the owner Harold cares deeply about his well maintained course. A hidden gem!
This place has so much potential. Beautiful views, challenging holes, etc. needs some TLC with better mowing, aerating, signage to know where you are going, garbage pick up. I hope the owners keep upping the game and turn it into a top notch resort that it has the potential to be. Plan to head back and give it a go a second time
Ok, this is a tough one. Really enjoyed the course, and truly felt like my wife and I were alone on the course. There were others but very spread out. The course is nicely challenging, with some tight tee shots, but most open to wide fairways. The front nine has some water that requires some placement, but not too evil. The fairways are mostly generous, and greens are well sized. The greens rolled true, but seemed a little too slow for my taste. The course is well maintained, but these are not pristine fairways. This is a north ontario, out of the way establishment. They (he) does a pretty good job, considering the location and the obvious lack of operating funds. I found the $85 including cart charge a bit high considering the lack of facilities, but to be honest it probably won't stop me from going back. There is no clubhouse, just a tent with some tables. The washrooms are portables. Not sure about food or drinks. We didn't require any, but I didn't see anything that let me to believe there is any. I see a lot of potential here, but it has a lot of work to be done. I will update if/when I play again. Update: Played again. Course was much better today. Had been freshly mowed. Greens were a bit faster as well. Yes, there is food and drink. This really does seem like a hidden gem. I had no problem getting on last minute on a beautiful Saturday morning. Seemed a bit busier later. The tough part - I get the feeling that they would be much busier if they lowered the rates a bit, considering the location and sparse amenities, but then again it would lose that "hidden gem" status. Look forward to playing again.
Beautiful property👍. Its a shame about the lack of clubhouse/facilities but you cant be blamed entirely for that because we know its a township issue😉. As a former golf course manager i know course conditioning comes down entirely to available budget, so hopefully this and other reviews will help increase traffic to your course and eventually the bunkers can have a little more sand and fairways cut more frequently. Tons of potential here ! All the best
Went here on Father’s Day with my family was a nice course but the owner was patrolling the fairways told us to speed up after we were stuck behind another group. He was extremely rude and wasn’t understanding that we weren’t the problem. He then made us skip a hole and kept coming up after every hole saying we needed to hurry up. There was no one behind us and it was extremely frustrating and ruined our entire day. Will never go back!
Excellent course and some of the best use of landscape I've seen. Being from Toronto and cottaging in markdale for years makes this my go to course when away. Plays and look like my home course "pheasant run" If you love long sweeping fairways and gorgeous century old treelined courses this is a gem!
Over priced , course is not kept up . Worst part the grounds keeper decided to lose his mind on us on the 18th hole . He went on and on for at least three minutes about how close we parked to the last green . We were 35 feet away from the green . He accused us of doing it throughout the round but then stated he didn’t see us do it . We are 52 year guys who play golf numerous times a week, we know the rules . Will never be back.
Great golf, for the price. Walking the course is a challenge and a couple of the holes are a few hundred meters from each other. Overall, very fun and exciting course.
