Love it. Cannot wait till they have Gelato in stock. Get all my gouda here.
We arrived soon after opening on a Thursday. The person working there at first was kind of standoffish at first, but once we got her talking we found that it was her second day... And once she opened up she was very friendly and as helpful as she could be. We had to ask for the cheese samples, which she seemed a little surprised about. The cheese was... Ok. We got the smoked Gouda which was probably the best of the lot. The others ranged from 'okay' to 'no thanks'. But, worth trying. It sounds like the gelato is the best, but it was 11am, so not available yet and we weren't up for it anyway Worth a stop, but keep expectations moderate
Staff was super kind and helpful. Got to sample any of the cheeses I wanted to. Ended up buying the Sage and Peppercorn flavoured Goudas. Also grabbed a pint of Raspberry Gelato and a cone of Coffee Gelato. Sooooooooo. Good. Worth every penny. No pictures - just enjoyed it
They have good cheese and ice cream. The lady running the counter likes to joke around and is quite funny. You can see some pretty happy cows and they usually have a friendly cat or two wandering the premises.
Locally prepared homemade style dairy products available here. A good store fro families and children to about cow farms and its operation. Ice cream is and additional attraction. Very beautiful scenic location of this well maintained farm.
Purchased 2 different kinds of cheese, as well as Gelato. The Gelato was fantastic. Both cheeses (cranberry, cumin) tasted really bitter. They ended up in the trash instead of on the charcuterie board. There is a nice outside area to sit and enjoy the view.
Not impressed. Not very friendly, felt like we were disturbing her. Not many options for icecream or cheese. Expected cheese samples, but nothing. Store seemed like the didn't have much stock and we wondered if they were closing for good.
What a nice little spot to stop in. We sat and watched the cows and chickens graze while enjoying gelato and 5yr old cheese. Would recommend adding as a stop when visiting Wolfville

It's a great hidden gem! Make sure to drop by this place for a unique wine/cider/fruit fusion! It's so worth it! Great selection, unique flavors, and you will love the owners! Thanks for the excellent experience today! I'll be back!
Beautiful winery! We had a tasting and tour with Ella, she was informative and well spoken. The buildings and vineyard are beautiful and the food and wine were great. The bigger vineyards are nice however, I loved the more personalized and mellow feel of Planter’s Ridge.
This isn’t my favourite vineyard and the wine wasn’t the best I’ve had, but the view is absolutely amazing. We ordered the sparkling flight and it was nice to sit, relax, and enjoy it while taking in the scenery. Worth a visit for the atmosphere alone.
This Winery was apart of a tour we did and I’ll definitely be back! The workers were a delight to talk to, and very kind. The entire set up is so cute. Let’s not forget about the wine 🫶🏽👏🏽. I’m not a big red wine drinker, but i had to purchase a second glass it was so good.
Excellent staff, beautiful view, delicious charcuterie board, interesting wine tasting (the server properly helped me choose the right ones to try). Highly recommend!
great wine, the atmosphere was perfect—very relaxed and welcoming. It's clear the team here is passionate about what they do. We'll be ordering more online!
We stayed at Planters Ridge Winery for two nights in room 3. Upon arrival we received an email with the code to the room. The room was very nice and spacious, but the fact that there is nobody there to greet and welcome you is very strange and it seems like Planters Ridge is uninterested in their guests. We went upstairs with our bags a lady came in the hallway and asked if we were the travelwriter... Does that mean that the travelwriter gets an other reception then an ordinary travel person? Even at breakfast there is nobody, little notes are put on the table with your room numer. After some time while having breakfast, a staff member came in and asked if everything was ok. Checking out means getting the bags out of the room and close the door. Nobody asked how the stay was, if we enjoyed ourselves, very very impersonal. We have been travelling Nova Scotia, PEI and Cape Breton for 2,5 weeks and this was the most impersonal welcome of all the 9 accommodations we had. After arrival we had some wine tasting on the terrace and the lady who served us was very kind. The views are great, it's a nice place to relax. If you want people to stay at your place, make them feel welcome, show your face as an owner or staff member and show some kind of interest. We are paying guests after all. To us it felt like we didn't matter. This is really a setback for Planters Ridge Winery. Otherwise I would have given 5 stars.
During our wine tour, we had the pleasure of enjoying lunch and a tasting at Planters Ridge, and it was a great experience! The staff was wonderful and attentive, making us feel very welcome. The food was incredibly fresh and flavorful, which made for a delightful meal. It was the perfect spot to unwind and relax on a wet, cold November day.

Excellent, personalized tour. Guide was friendly, knowledgeable about the area, pointed out extra sights and tips and gave us plenty of time to enjoy Peggy's Cove, Swissair 111 Memorial Site and the "Titanic" cemetery. Highly recommended especially if you don't want the big bus tour experience. Thanks, Craig, for a great tour.
We did the cove tour. It was amazing! Our tour guide had great, in-depth history of each site we went to. Highly recommend.
My friend and I took the Peggy's Cove tour and it was my favorite of the entire cruise. Our tour leader Laila, was on time, and her directions to find her were easy. She was energetic and had great information about our "tour of death and destruction" in the Halifax area. She used a microphone so everyone inside the van was able to hear her. The van was clean and not over crowded. She had a fun game for us to play too. We ate a Lobster roll for lunch at a local restaurant. We learned about the history of the area. Everything about the tour was excellent. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the Halifax area!
My wife and I had an absolutely wonderful experience with Laila on our wine tour. She is extremely knowledgeable about the region and all it has to offer. The vinyard/wineries that we visited were outstanding with personal service and a very friendly atmosphere, plus excellent wine tasting and a superb lunch. All in all a great experience and I would highly reccomended to anyone who is interested in a friendly, professional and well organized tour.
Just participated in a tour yesterday as part of a workplace event. The tour guide worked hard to show everyone a good time. The three spots we visited were all quite nice as well. Kudos.
Isla was a wonderful guide. So friendly and knowledgable about Annapolis Valley history and the wine industry in the region. Had a wonderful day. FeFelliwFellow

Love this place! When you arrive for the first time you might confuse the tap room in the adjacent building with the wayfarers the taproom. Wayfarers tap room has the same entrance as the wayfarers brewery, as seen in the photos I took. Yup, I love this brewery! They have good quality beers! All of them! They have discontinued the British ale. It was my absolute favorite beer. Although I am sad to see it go, I know it is because not enough people bought it. Likely because IPAs and extreme IPAs have taken over from the brown, red, amber and ESBs. This is an industry wide trend. Hoppy beers have a dry finish. The styles I mentioned have a sweet finish. New England IPAs have a cloudy appearance and a finish that is much sweeter than other IPAs. Wayfarers has a few really nice beers in the New England IPAs style. The tap room has good pub food and is nice and cozy. It has a TV for watching sports games. We live in the Halifax area, unfortunately. If we lived close to wayfarers it would be our "go to place"! The staff member I talked to was very patient, knowledgeable and kind. I would like him to know, I will definitely be back every chance I get! Cheers!
Great vibe, great beer and beautiful view! Enjoyed a cold beer on their patio on a hot day and Michael was extremely kind and helpful. Provided great insight on their offerings and the area.
Nice place for a sunny afternoon on the patio. Food was good! Staff were very friendly. Great views.
Absolutely loved this restaurant! I didn’t know about it until I seen they were participating in burger wars. The freshness of the food felt like it was all local and tasted wonderful. I can wait to come back later in the summer and experience there outside seating.
Awesome and friendly staff! Our large group of 20+ enjoyed our dinner and drinks here! Thank you!!
A great spot for more than just a beer. We had a pizza there and enjoyed a couple drinks on the patio and watched the tide come in. For those who have never witnessed that I would suggest it for sure. Service was great and everyone was super friendly.
Had the chicken flatbread, which was super fresh and tasty, as was the ravioli! The IPA beer, and cider was also cold and refreshing! Great service to match the great food. Can't wait to come back next time I'm in the valley.
It was our first time and really enjoyed ourselves; beer and the tide coming in was great, restaurant was closed due to holiday Monday but we'll be back again to try the food.

Big fan of Tide Gin over the years. Always take a bottle from Liquid Assets airport store when visiting out of province, and it's a big hit. Wanted to try, but had trouble finding, a bottle of the Windward Whiskey as it seemed to always be sold out. Finally found a bottle at the Garlic Festival in Windsor, NS, a couple of weeks ago. Very much enjoying this excellent sipping whiskey. Fares well versus the competition, which would be premium labels from the big boys, and other craft regional distilleries. Only downsides are availability and the somewhat high price @ $67.00 for 700 ml bottle. Will savour this one.
We live in the area so stopped in. The owner helped us out. Great place. The canned gin drinks are amazing. The dark rum made with Crosby molasses is unbelievable. Highly recommend stopping by when in the Valley. Did I mention the rum ? Very unique 👌
I popped into this spot to grab a gift for someone and was instantly charmed when I walked through the door. While the exterior is quaint and tidy, it’s nestled in a small industrial park setting, so to be met with such a grand, rustic beauty when I stepped inside was a very pleasant surprise. The lady who helped me was equally as lovely! They offered beautiful 3x100ml sample sets of their offerings that include a signature shot glass, all for less than $40. I’ll definitely be going back to grab some of those before the holidays!
Was feeling in a "support local" mood at the liquor store and got the 5 fathom rum. Not only is it a good local choice, it's an amazing rum overall. Basically it's the best integration of a molasses flavor in any rum I have ever had. Had it on the rocks and let the ice melt slightly, no bite, all flavor. What a great find! The bottle and cork is a unique touch too.
Great drinks, nice product, very limited space, even more limited seating. Not overly engaging staff. Despite we were the only guess we had to ask all the questions. But again very delicious drinks, especially the green apple
What a great place! Amazing flavors and friendly service. Definitely a must visit if you're in the area.
Fabulous staff who really know their stuff. Excellent product. I loved my purchases. Will definitely recommend and will be back.
Great cocktail flight prepared by Lauren! Fun time and very tasty!! Thanks! Highly recommend.

Finally made it to this historic gem near Port Williams on Starrs Point. Treated to an excellent guided tour just for us and enjoyed hearing about the family and the restoration. Explore the grounds and pollinators garden. Marvel at old growth apple orchard and fast-growing Acacias.
Twice I have had the pleasure of attending the annual Romancing the Writer Workshop held under one of the many gorgeous trees on the lawn of the Historic Prescott House Museum. What an incredible and stunning venue! The staff went out of their way to welcome us and to see to our needs. A nice spread of tea, coffee, cold drinks, fruit, and sweets was provided. During our lunch, the very knowledgeable and friendly staff provided us with a tour of the well-kept Museum. I am looking forward to attending future events held indoors or out in this perfect space.
Lovely old Georgian estate. Friendly knowledgeable interpreters. Nice spot for a picnic when it is hot.
We had such a wonderful experience touring the Prescott House Museum. Collette, our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable and kind. The house has such joyful energy and is carefully and thoughtfully maintained. The grounds are beautiful and the history rich. Thanks for the great visit!
Beautiful old manor/museum. Take the tour as the staff are super knowledgeable and so friendly!
It was lovely to see the house! Great history, our tour guide was lovely, showed us everything we wanted to and more and answered all our questions! I'm slightly jealous of his job and getting to touch all the history!
Lovely visit! Staff was extremely informative. Having the stories of two different generations of Prescott's was an interesting perspective. We were also given some Gravenstein apples from the property!
Great place to visit, step back in time. The Hon.Charles R. Prescott built this house in 1799 ,it took three years to complete. Thanks ,to a very helpful tour guide ,I now have a understanding ,that Mr. Prescott is given credit for introducing apples to the region. Thanks for the summer visit,to a interesting place.

A wonderful rural setting and a beautifully crafted building make this a great place to sample high quality beer, ale and cider from local ingredients. Friendly staff will detail the brewing process for the extensive list of delicious product. Food trucks provide a perfect compliment , allowing a non-food licenced establishment a good workaround. This arrangement also means dogs are often seen mingling with patrons, giving an English pub vibe that is seldom found anywhere else in Canada!
Was my first time visiting the brewery and what a lovely experience! My favourite beer for years is the Blueberry Ale so I came in on my way to pick up a few cans and I was impressed by the selections. Tried their Raspberry cider which was delicious and not too sweet. The location is beautiful and the staff were very helpful.
The beer is great, they’ve done a wonderful job on the spectrum of beers. However, part of the craft brewing community involves being able to fill your own growlers. Having been through several breweries, some of the best parts are striking up conversation with the folks and brewers behind the bar because of the different craft breweries that are displayed on my growler. Sea Level won’t fill your own growlers. While I appreciate that part of it is that they want to pressure fill and preserve the beer for longer, I have to disagree with the reasons and would encourage them to consider starting to fill third party growlers. We had a great time tasting their beer, but sadly we left empty handed.
I'm extremely disappointed in what used to be a favourite establishment of mine- in particular I love their blueberry beer. I would pack my suitcase full of it when I would visit, so now that I've moved back to NS I planned on visiting a lot more. picked up a sixer of it for the weekend and when I opened a can it was flat and tasted really off. Tried a second can and it was the same. I emailed them and got a prompt reply that they would exchange it... But! Was advised that because they don't use preservatives and fill the cans up to remove oxygen, I should pour the beer into a glass from high up to get carbonation??? I mean. I'm not good at much but I know my beer and those cans were off- soft cans, beer tastes and smells bad, no bubbles no matter how I poured it. I was proven right when I got violently ill the next day from drinking one quarter of one can. I declined the exchange since I live in the city, but I'll pour the beer from high up, right down the sink.
Been to lots of breweries. This place has a nice view out back (which isn’t well maintained) but the beer is not good. The taste and smell are both off... farmy aftertaste, unclean lines or something. Every beer has the same pungent finish.
hey, this week end Im THANKFUL to sea level brewery for taking good care of my Dobro, which I somehow managed to leave in their parking lot on our Nova Scotia travels in August. Helps that owner Chris is a Banjo player himself. And their beers great too!
My husband loves this beer. He tells everyone, "To make sure that they refrigerate it or it will go bad". It is on the cans but so tiny you cannot see it unless you are looking for it. Would be nice if you could put this information on your website and at retail sites.
The definitive craft beer in the valley. Excellent craftsmanship! A beer variety for everyone's different pallets. True to style and obviously made with care. Great beer and friendly staff.

We had the best time picking apples at Willowbank! Very clean & well maintained orchards. The staff are super friendly & helpful! The different types of apples are clearly marked & the trees are easy to pick from. It's a great place to take some pictures or just wander around on a nice day. There is plenty of parking & portable washrooms on site.
Fun for all Ages... So many types of apples pears etc.. petting zoo, bouncy castle, huge property to explore. The kids were looking the animals.. and i think the animals loving the attention...
The apples were great, there was a bathroom available which was great also lots of parking. I didn't want to spend that much more money after apples though once I learned it was almost 30$ for my kids to pet the animals. I understand it was for the entire fun zone(bouncy castles etc) but we only wanted to see the animals. We didn't participate for that reason unfortunately.
We went today and have nothing bad to say! Beautiful orchards, well run, well directed through the area and parking. Tons of activities for families and individuals to enjoy. We stayed for about 4.5 hours. Food truck was tasty. We had a great time!
We went to willow bank u pick yesterday with our family. It was a beautiful place, with many fun activities.... however the owner approached us at the beginning and spoke aggressively at us saying we are going to cause problems for picking the honey crisp. This was in front of our kids. These apples were at the front and they looked amazing.... they were fine and delicious. what does it matter if we pick them a couple weeks early? they only allowed us to pick 3 types, which i have never had that issue before at other locations.... he was guarding the honey crisp apples with his side by side up and down the row, which made us feel uncomfortable.. and he told us to go to the back orchards which were the apples that he claimed were ready... all good- the apples we were hoping to pick for 50$ worth of apples were not the ones we chose to pick...sorry for being bad apples... for trying to pick the Good apples lol ....on another note early to late September is the best time to pick them.... we have been to the store many times buying honey crisp apples and they looked exactly the same as the ones on the trees. Won't be back had to explain to our kids that we were not trouble makers was enough. Good luck to others that choose this place.
Love this place. We went there for Apple u-pick. My daughter love the petting zoo and kids play area a lot. Pumpkin peach is also nice. The halloween celebration is going on. The haunted house section is very well decorated. They also have a mini farm Museum. Overall we spend a fun day there. A day long family day will be great there especially with kids.
So much fun! Spent about 3 hrs with a 3-year-old boy. We were busy the entire time, laughing, running, tasting which lead to finishing 2.5 apples, petting animals, picking apples and pumpkins, etc. in the orchard, pumpkin field, petting pen, corn maze, and the playground. My boy agreed to leave only after I promised we’ll come back soon, well, and he was exhausted. The best apples in the province! Honey Crisp is my new favourite. They are big, juicy, sweet, a little sour and crispy! Delicious! My boy finished a decent size apple at the spot. The farm is very well maintained, and the staff are very friendly. The price was reasonable, too. Well worth the hour-drive from Halifax. I took the picture of the apple tree after filling two 10-lbs bags from it. It took about 5-10 minutes to fill the bags with ripe, delicious apples.
Great place for families with young children. Heads up there is a fee, but they take interact.
