A Natural Wonder You Can Walk Through! The St. Martins Sea Caves are absolutely mesmerizing! It’s amazing to see how the tides reveal these majestic caves and let you walk right into them during low tide. The red cliffs, unique rock formations, and the powerful Bay of Fundy tides make this spot truly special. It’s a perfect blend of adventure, natural beauty, and coastal charm. Don’t forget to check the tide schedule—walking on the ocean floor is an experience you won’t forget!
Cute little stop when the tide is fully out along the Bay of Fundy. Beach is full of smooth rocks and there is a couple little souvenir shops and a little restaurant near by. Not the most exciting place to spend a day at the beach but very dog friendly and there is a bathroom at the little restaurant!
Taking the slow road from Saint Andrews to Moncton is a journey worth savouring, full of detours that reveal incredible scenery, pockets of nature, and New Brunswick’s rugged coastal beauty. One such stop is the Sea Caves in St. Martins. Shaped by the tides, these natural wonders are best explored when the ocean draws back, allowing you to walk inside and marvel at their scale. When the tide returns, the same spot transforms into a dramatic shoreline, reminding you of the Bay of Fundy’s power and rhythm. It’s a stop that blends awe with a sense of discovery, the kind of place that makes you grateful you chose the slower road.
Such an amazing location and experience. You can't go into the caves and there's only one that's kind of deep. But regardless the whole location is pretty amazing. The rock stratification it's so cool and extends out right to the water's edge to the far left as you look out into the ocean. There's a muddy stream and lots of slippery rocks and seaweed so be careful. Most of the path out to the caves is dry and you can do it in running shoes if you want, but there may be a little stream to cross.
What a scenic and captivating spot! I would say because of water levels it's best to go in the early afternoon (around 2-3) otherwise the water is too high to get into the caves. Even at that time you will have to whip out your long jump skills! It's completely worth it though- the insides of the caves are almost other worldly! Pictures don't do it justice!
Absolutely beautiful place. Make sure you go at low tide to get the full experience. The restaurant there is delicious, and there's a little souvenir shop too.
It was worth the stop! You can’t go inside the largest cage anymore but it was still really cool at low tide to walk around the point to more sea caves. We also saw a bald eagle.
We visited the area over a couple of days. We were there for low tide on the weekend and high tide during the week in relation to my photos. We took a kayak adventure to view the sea caves on the water, and we took a hike above (there's a little turn off to the right going up the hill on the road that has a brown gate, if you go in there and park, you can access the trails above the sea caves) and below the sea caves to get a view from every angle. Recommend checking out the area. There are many little gift shops up and down the road and a nice family restaurant right on the beach area looking out to the sea caves. It's worth the trip! Bring a sweater for windy days and a hat for the sun! Also, bring proper footwear to walk in since you'll be walking across stones! :).

Great place for a quick stop. Saw seals off in the distance between the rocks. Beautiful day! Free parking for a few vehicles. Short walk to the lighthouse. Nice views!
This place is beautiful! Truly a gorgeous view, the wind, tall grass, lighthouse and the place itself is dream like, if you are looking for a place to propose or do some special announcement this is the one! Not many people and stunning views.
Beautiful area untouched and unspoiled. Just raw nature at its best. There is a rumour that a golf course will be developed on the west side of the lighthouse Road in the coming year/years.
Fantastic spot to hike and watch the tide come in.
A beautiful spot to visit the Quaco Lighthouse and to see the Atlantic Ocean. Depending upon the season there are lots of wild flowers growing around the lighthouse. It’s a beautiful area. If you’re lucky you will see some wildlife.
During our trip to St. Martins, NB, our last stop was Quaco Light House. Way out on the point (edge of the cliff), you can see Red Rock on the west and on the east side you can see St. Martins Sea Caves, beautiful spot. Mind you, my wife was not to happy with me on the edge of the cliff taking pictures, but she didn't push me off, so there's that!!
Amazing view. There's not a proper trail per say but a narrow sandy road that goes to the base and the back of the lighthouse.
What a breathtaking view. There is a very short downhill walk from the dead end road to the lighthouse but it's worth it. If there are older people with you, you need to be careful as going downhill the rocks might trip you. You can even go further down from the light house on the dirt track until it comes to the ledge and take great pictures there.

We had a great time on the 2 1/2 hour caves and cliffs tour! Our guides Shawn, Peter, and Jordan were knowledgeable and kept our safety forefront. We went out just after high tide which let us paddle into a couple of caves. The fog had barely lifted, and it rained, but it didn’t inhibit the fun. If you get the chance, go on this tour!
I loved every minute of this tour! The guides, Peter and Mike, were awesome! So knowledgeable and welcoming, they made everyone feel right at home. The views were absolutely breathtaking, and there were plenty of chances to snap amazing photos. I’d recommend this experience to anyone wanting to get out on the water. It’s beginner-friendly, fun, and the sea caves are a must-see! I enjoyed it so much that I’m already planning to return for a full-day tour. Thanks guys!!! :)
Loved this adventure! Our guide was fantastic—experienced, knowledgeable, and incredibly welcoming. The scenery was breathtaking, with a peaceful atmosphere on the water and the pace was perfect for everyone, creating an enjoyable and relaxing experience. Highly recommend!
Highly recommend! The tour was a great and unique way to see the caves at high tide. It truly made our experience in St Martin’s more exciting to be able to compare the high and low tides. Liz was a dynamic and friendly guide and was super knowledgeable about the rocks and caves. Dave was super friendly and helped us get all set up. This is a must do in St. Martin’s
We had an amazing time kayaking through the sea caves with a group of 10! The tour was incredibly well organized, fun, and full of stunning views. A huge thank you to Sean and Mike for being such amazing guides — they were knowledgeable, friendly, and made the whole trip feel both safe and exciting. I truly had an incredible time and would highly recommend this adventure to anyone looking for a unique and memorable experience!
Terrific experience in a uniquely beautiful environment. Shawn and Liz were great guides. We had a mix of very experienced and less experienced paddlers. Everyone had fun, especially checking out the caves in high tide. I’ll definitely be going back for a long trek.
Absolutely incredible trip out to sea caves, managed to do some kayak surfing. Guides Peter and Dave showed tremendous leadership in a challenging weather situation that was not forecasted and ensured everyone felt safe at all times
I have to say the scenery was breathtaking. Saint Martin is well worth the drive and the sea caves were phenomenal. Places like Alma and Albert are where you can get something to eat (Alma) and see historical buildings like the Gaol and Court House.

What a beautiful magical Inn! Historical treasures abound in every corner the eye can land. The downstairs of the Inn makes you travel in time and the room had all the modern amenities I could want: AC, flat screen TV, private bathroom with all necessary toiletries (hair dryer and bathrobes included) and more antique beautiful furniture. The bed was splendidly comfy. And the owner was so sweet and welcoming. I hope to go back again and again. Many heartfelt thanks!!
Nice spot to stay in the quiet village of St. Martins. Room was clean and spacious and the staff were very pleasant. We were a little nervous as we had never stayed at an Inn before, but it was a great experience and we would prefer it over a hotel.
This was a lovely inn with beautiful antiques throughout and uniquely appointed rooms. We walked across the road to the beach to see the extreme tide changes. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. We employed a very comfortable, quiet and relaxed stay! Highly recommend it.
Have a confirmation email for a stay here today (June 9, 2025). Arrive at B&B, no sign where to go for reception. Tried different doors, all locked. Called the B&B, goes direct to generic voicemail. Waited for an hour, called again no answer. Never did get a call back. Lucky they did not have my credit card so we headed to St. John. Lucky it was close. Wouldn’t recommend trying this place.
We had a wonderful stay here. The house and rooms were beautiful and very clean and the staff was very friendly. We were sorry we couldn't stay for another night since this was the best stay of our trip. We would definitely recommend this place😊
Loved, loved this cute and cozy inn. Sad that I only stayed a night when traveling through. Highly recommend this inn that has so much charm.
Absolutely stunning place with beautiful rooms, friendly service and delicious food. The veiw from our room over looked the front lawn and waterfront.
Beautiful old house. Delicious breakfast, clean rooms and a great view.

The Rocky Mountains offer an easy walk to the deck viewpoint. However, if you're feeling adventurous, you can take the trail that involves some climbing while holding onto the chains near the falls.
This is a lovely falls.. the trails are.. difficult. The stairs to falls are very steep n slippery. The additional hike though the woods is ridiculous. Your climbing down hills like a goat. Not for anyone except fit ppl.
We love this area! It is a beautiful walk, witha bit of eerieness. Unfortunately the falls were not too powerful, but we haven't had much rain. So this is understandable. The view regardless is absolutely stunning! It is a must see. The walk took about a hour or so round trip.
Short hike, just over 1 km to the viewing platform - some stairs and inclines. Very nice view of the gorge but can only see a small portion of the falls through the trees.
We had such an amazing day on this hike. Greeted by Janet who automatically put a smile on our face! Such a lovely lady. Nice parking, looks like they are building maybe a cafe/shop or an area for people to sit at? The views were amazing, if you wanted to see the observation the walk was about 10 minutes to the deck. Other then that there are a few hikes you can go on if your feeling a bit more adventurous! We did the eye of the needle walk, it was rocky and steep in some places, but was a fun hike with some amazing views of the water falls. It took us about 1.5 hour on this hike, there is a dead end to the trail with a mini pool from the water fall and you walk back but some people that know the trail well carry on and make their own way back! Recommend 100%
What a spot ,Hiked eye of needle trail, finished of with McLeod falls trial ,not for the faint of heart but a huge pay off ,some of the most beautiful scenery I have ever seen
Beautiful forest walk up to the viewing platform. Very helpful NPC at the top to give you some fun facts. Very eager fella. The views from the top were pretty spectacular. The trails and parking were very well maintained and clean.
Having seen many of the back country trails in the province, this one should be added to your list if you haven’t checked it out yet. That being said it is fairly steep and may not be for everybody. The park staff have done a good trail at forming the trail and delineating the trail with rocks, but it is quite steep. It isn’t overly long with just over an hour to the bottom off of the main trail. (Two adults with hiking experience) There are some areas where there is chain bolted into the rock to help you hold on, and in some areas there is quite the drop off beside the trail. So something to consider as there is only one way in and out. You want to be comfortable on your feet for this trail. That being said it is a very cool little piece of NB. At the bottom of the trail, the main marked trail ends and you will need to scramble across the river and head down river approximately 100m to get to the area where the photos are. You can’t see the narrow canyon from where the trail ends. To get to the narrowest spot, you will need to cross the river. Some people had water shoes which would be a good idea. The last pools is over waist deep so consider a towel if you want to swim the last pool, water is cold. To get to the trail head you have to head to the Walton Glen Gorge lookout them you branch off to head down into the gorge. The branch off for the gorge is a small hike from the parking lot.
