This year we set up our Company Summer Party at Emerald Lake in Puslinch. I have to say, I highly recommend this location for family or company outings. Their customer service is second to none. Our employees loved the floating waterpark, the beach, the water slide and the cliff jumping, among several other activities they had at the site that we could do. Everyone had something to do, all at the same time, so no one was left out waiting at any point in time. Before this outing, I myself had actually gotten sick and couldn’t make it. I still had employees admission tickets with me… Scotty, the lady that set up the event for me, took care of the employees that I had the tickets for and made sure everyone still got into the park flawlessly. I had very good feedback from all our employees and we will definitely look at having another event at this location next summer! Thank you to all the staff at Emerald Lake for making our event a success!
We had the simple cabin. It was clean and suited our needs perfectly. The campground is well maintained and very nice. The waterpark is very fun. My only complaint is that the staff member working this past Thursday evening was incredibly rude when I tried to purchase firewood. He swore and told me I waited until the last minute. Sorry sir that I was unaware of your business hours, all you had to do was politely tell me you were closed!
We went to the waterpark only for a day trip. It was fantastic! Lots to do and a really nice water area and beach! Clean facilities and friendly staff. Great for a day out but bring shade covers! Loses one star for being a bit understaffed with only 3 lifeguards for a huge area. They were diligent and alert, but it's a lot for them.
Awesome place to enjoy summer. Doesn’t matter if you have kids, are a kid, or just an adult looking for an adventure/fun in the sun. The lake isn’t huge so beware. Has a jumping cliff, large inflatables, and a water slide. Food was pretty decent and reasonably priced - the staff was super sweet. Approximately 4/5 lifeguards on active duty throughout the day and they take their jobs quite seriously! Safety first here. It’s $25 per person and a $5 parking fee. Definitely recommend for summer fun to get out of the house for a bit.
Our second summer for 2 day getaway in the cabins (#7&#9). Great place to take a few days- water is beautiful and lots to do. Safety is clearly their first priority so love that. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Will be back next summer!
My friends and I went there for one day. We paid $20.00 each to get in. They do have a free parking lot for us to park our vehicles with Wheelchair Accessible Parking Lots. We went swimming and we had to wear a life jacket. Everyone has to wear a life jacket before going in the water. If you don't wear one, they will not let you swim and participate in other water activities. We had to pay to rent them. I heard from my brother that we can bring our own life jackets to wear. My friends and I enjoyed swimming. The weather was warm and sunny. They do have a store to buy food and beverages. They do have restrooms and also have Wheelchair Accessible Entrances. They have baseball diamonds if you want to play a game or practice. You can call or go on the website to book ahead. They also have an area to play volleyball, etc. After we went swimming, we went for a walk in their trails. It was great. I have heard that the people had their private wedding and reception at this location, private meetings, etc.. We can call or go online and book ahead. It's a nice place to bring your camper, stay in a cabin, or live there permanently. They do allow the people to bring their pet dogs.
The cottage we stayed in was perfect - well equipped, air conditioned, clean, in a great location. The activities at Emerald Lake are so much fun too - and the pizza machine is a hit for the kids!
The waterpark absolutely makes this campsite! You can spend hours there and not get bored. We had 6 kids ranging in ages from under 10 to teens and they all had an amazing time. So did us adults! The downside, we rented 3 basic cabins and when they say basic, they mean it. Truthfully, they weren't terrible, there was a roof, a fridge and an AC unit which was great but the negatives are, they layout is weird, it doesn't make sense and the adult bed is like what I imagine sleeping on a jail bed would feel like. We would have been less sore sleeping on an air mattress in a tent. For some reason, they have tents sites practically on top of the cabin sites. Its like walking out your front door and having a homeless encampment on your front lawn. There was no privacy or space of your own really, again probably would have been better to just use a tent, especially for what we paid it was disappointing. The washrooms were directly in front of us, nothing you can do about that and honestly would have been really convenient if we had wanted to use them. We found ourselves walking around a lot looking for clean washrooms. They seemed to always be dirty and clogged. I've stayed at a lot of KOA's and other camp grounds and found them to be much more attentive to the communal washrooms. Had this campground not of had this waterpark, I think our whole group would have been very disappointed. That being said, other sites might have been better, the beds in other cabins may have been better and we did find the washrooms up near the main office to be regularly clean. If your body can handle staying in a tent and you enjoy having your neighbors be a part of your family, then this will be a great place to stay. The water park 10/10, cabins 3/10, bathrooms 2/10, accessibility and walkable 10/10. Staff 7/10. We had cabin #9, cabin #10 and one two cabins behind cabin 10, I don't remember the number.

Had a fantastic experience fly fishing for the very first time. Jeff made the entire trip an absolute joy, he’s a great teacher and gently guided us through learning how to cast and fish with a fly rod. If you’re thinking of getting into fly fishing I definitely recommend taking a tour with him!
Jeff was a great guide for both my husband and myself on our first time trying fly fishing. He is incredibly patient and makes it look easy. We were able to catch 3 fish in total after getting in the water and practicing for a bit. It was an excellent time and a beautiful day on the river!
Jeff took a few of us out on the river and introduced us to flyfishing. None of us had done this before and it was a great time. Jeff is extremely knowledgeable and a great instructor and I highly recommend. Will be going out with him again for sure.
A truly amazing experience today learning to fly fish with Jeff. He is an excellent teacher and business owner. I highly recommend Calmwaters Fly Fishing and Jeff. Can't wait to get some gear and continue practicing. everything he taught me.
My son and I had fly fishing lessons with Jeff. We never picked up a fly rod before. Excellent guide. Taught us a lot about the flies and what the fish are eating. We were able to cast within minutes and my son was catching trout. Jeff was patient and kind and answered so many of our questions. If you want to learn about the spots to catch fish on the river or to learn about fly fishing call Jeff. My son and I had a wonderful time. Thank you Jeff and Calmwaters.
Absolutely a Top Instructor/Guide. My Husband and I started with a couple of lessons from Jeff Parks and we had the best days out on the Grand River. Couldn't recommend Jeff more, he is patient, knowledgable and entertaining. Get hooked into Calmwaters Fly Fishing.
Jeff had me casting after just a couple of hours of practice and I was able to enjoy fishing for the rest of the day. I had such a great experience I've now come back to fish with him 6 more times in 3 different rivers. It's always a pleasure to spend the day casting, wading and learning from Jeff. He is an excellent instructor especially for people like me who have never fly fished before. Thanks Jeff!
Had a great day out on the river with Jeff. Did a half day "learn to fly fish" lesson and Jeff was great and very patient as this was our first time trying the sport. We even caught a few fish on our first day out! Highly recommended. Thanks!

We had a hutch and a table resurfaced and distressed in the colours we wanted. They did a beautiful job!! The furniture is absolutely gorgeous now.
The first time we went we found this incredible hutch. Amazing restoration done here. We plan to use them for custom work as well in the future.
Such a fun spot! My wife and I love dropping by when we're ever in the area. Always fresh new furniture and home decor items. Prices keep us coming back and don't break the bank!
Totally original. Small space but packed with beautiful finds etc. Loved it. Constantly getting new items.

Danish Christmas Market Sunday was lovely. Great people, danish food and danish gifts. The Viking reinactors were knowledgeable and interactive. Great event!
Great people and great area. Very friendly and helpful. We like to set up our viking camp there.
A place for Danes to gather which includes acres of walking trails, a pond, a small trailer park and senior's accommodation as well as a top notch restaurant: The Danish Place. Don't worry if you are not Danish. Everyone is welcome here.
Great people, great food, great atmosphere ... Get your "Dane" on !
This is a hidden gem! We really enjoyed the open-faced sandwiches and the Nordic Market. I wish we found this spot before my parents passed away. They would have really loved it. They immigrated from Denmark in 1956 and we have worked hard to continue their Danish traditions. The Villa Association will make that much easier.
Came to Sunset Villa for my first time but my partner and family have been coming since they were kids. Food was OUTSTANDING. Portions were excellent. Drinks were great. Prices very reasonable. Service was excellent too- 12 of us turned up and they gave us the library area for our party. We were celebrating the passing of partners dad and it was just perfect. Lots of Danish trafional open sandwiches. I have asked that we always go here on every trip back to Canada from the UK.
Have been coming here since I was a kid. Now I bring my kids here and I always look forward to it. Its one of my favourite places to go. The food is fantastic, the service is excellent and the grounds are beautiful! Highly recommended even if you are not Danish. I am part Dane btw. Just go and enjoy yourself.
I absolutely love the Danish culture and the Danish food. We used to go there All the time for the Danish style sandwiches and my favorite the Danish style traditional pork roast dinner with gravey and boiled potato and little Brown sugared potatoes and the sweet purple Cabbage. And for dessert Yet their traditional famous mouth watering absolutely delicious layer cake. This place is sadly missed by me and my family since it closed. I really hope that the Danish club owners will reopen it under new management and Ownership. I would hope that a absolute must would be that the new owners and management MUST serve the traditional Danish style foods.
